I was watering the flowers outside my apartment when I looked up to see Thomas. He raised an eyebrow. "Gardening?"

Without changing expression, I raised the hose and soaked him.

Even vampires can be startled. He spluttered, and said indignantly "What the hell was that for?"

Deadpan, I said, "You're hot."

"No, I'm not."

I nodded to the four people oogling him from across the street. "They seem to think so."

He blinked, then scowled. "Quit the wordplay, genius, and get me some new clothes."

I smiled angelically, then acquiesced.

Didn't want him dripping all over my apartment, after all.
