Bonnie was back in the place she hadn't stepped foot in since before she entered college three years ago. Mystic Falls. Even though Whitmore was only a few hours away, she never had a true yearning to come back; especially since her grandmother was enjoying life, traveling the world on retirement money during the time. It was something that she deserved.

And now Bonnie was back, and so was her Grams. And she couldn't wait to see her.

But before Stefan drove her home, he was gracious enough to make one stop for Bonnie, offering to stay as long as she needed.

In her hand was a single white rose, as she knelt in front of Matt Donovan's tombstone. Beloved Brother and Best friend is what it read. It killed Bonnie that she didn't attend his funeral; it made her feel low and unworthy of his friendship… of his love. At that moment in time she was too far gone…. unstable, and she knew by being there it would make his death real. And she couldn't handle it…. she still couldn't.

But everything about this situation was real. Matt was really dead, and she was kneeling at his grave.

She could still remember the first time they met. They were four years old at the playground….

"You be careful up there Bonnie Marie Bennett!" Sheila Bennett yelled at her granddaughter, who was utilizing the monkey bars. She loved that her grandchild was so outgoing and loved being outdoors, but every day she always had to doctor on her knees and elbows from minor cuts she would acquire form falling.

Bonnie heard her grandmother but she was focused on making it to the end of the monkey bars. She never made it to the end and she was extremely excited that she was almost there.

That was until Tyler Lockwood decided to try and pass her, causing her to fall. It wasn't that long of a way down but she did find herself crying a little.

"Not cool Tyler!" she heard her best friend Caroline yell. She was on the swing while her other best friend Elena was trying to get her little brother Jeremy to go down the slide.

Sheila was about to run over to Bonnie to make sure she wasn't hurt, but Liz Forbes, gently grabbed her hand, "Wait, Shelia… look."

A little boy with blonde hair who looked no more than four or five ran up to Bonnie and helped her up. "Are you Alwight?"

Bonnie sniffled, "Kinda… Tyler's a meanie." She then found herself trying to wipe some of the dirt off her shirt.

"You wanna try again. I'll make sure you don't fall."

"Okay." Her frown turned into a smile instantly, "I'm Bonnie Bennett. You wanna be friends?"

"Okay! I'm Matt Donovan. We'll be best friends." He beamed.

And then they went back over to the monkey bars, hand in hand.

Bonnie wiped the tears that were escaping her eyes at the memory that invaded her mind. Matt no longer here was a painful feeling that she may never get away from. Even though she was able to come to terms with everything and started feeling better with her life, if she could trade places with him, she would in a second.

As she placed the rose in front of his tombstone, she whispered, "I love you, Matt. And I miss you so much." It was knowing that he was looking down on her that was truly getting her through the day now.

Standing up, she walked back over to the car where Stefan stood. She tried her best not to look at him because she knew if she did the tears would begin flowing again.

Before Bonnie could get in the car, Stefan gently grabbed her hand, causing her eyes to connect with his. His face was solemn, understanding…. comforting. And it caused her to break down.

He then embraced her into his arms, and she rested her head onto his chest and cried.

They pulled up to the Bennett residence a few minutes later, and Stefan grabbed Bonnie's bags out of the trunk and walked her to the door.

"Thank you for everything, Stefan. There really aren't enough words…."

Stefan nodded, "It's not a problem Bonnie. I would do it again..."

She smiled softly, "Let's just hope you don't have too."

When Sheila opened the door to see her granddaughter standing on her porch, her heart instantly swelled in her chest. She pulled her into a hug and neither one of them wanted to let go.

Bonnie Bennett was home. She was safe and she was okay.

A month later…

"Just call her already!" The youngest Mikaelson exclaimed as she flopped down on one of Damon's antique couches.

Damon looked up from his computer screen for just enough time to roll his eyes at Rebekah. She could be such a pest sometimes… even if she was like his sister.

"I'm working, Rebekah…" He said, ignoring her comment.

"You're brooding, Damon." She shot back. "You stare at your phone every five seconds, hoping for a text… oh sorry an email." Her eye roll was not missed out of his peripheral. "I don't even know why you did not give her your number. You take her on a car ride and you don't even give her your number. How astute of you." She finished with sarcasm.

"Isn't there something else you would rather be doing then sitting here… bothering me." He said, still typing away.

"Nope; Elijah is spending his off day frolicking with Katherine, Klaus and Marcel had to do some unexpected business trip, so that just leaves you. You know the point of an off day is to actually not do work."

"When you are the CEO of a company, you don't really get an 'off day'."

"You did when you were playing therapist with Bonnie." she teased.

"I was doing both." And the winner of the most eye rolls goes too….

Rebekah scoffed, "Stefan wouldn't be ignoring me if he were here." she said under her breath.

"Stefan has a girlfriend now, so his attention is mostly on her. Even when he was here they talked on the phone for almost 24 hours straight. It was pretty annoying." He said.

Rebekah then sat up, her voice growing more serious, "Damon, I have been out of that place for over a month now. I was honestly better before I got out of that place. Yet, Elijah and Nik still treat me like I am going to break any moment. I haven't got a chance to really see Marcel and Stefan is a while away. You don't treat me like I'm going to break because you've been there. So, can you just for a couple hours put away the laptop and do something with me. I don't have any real friends anymore. You know your true friends when difficult things happen. I don't need a babysitter but I do need my friend who is pretty much my brother to do something… anything with me." She then added, "You know you're on top of your work… you always have been."

Damon stopped typing and looked at his little sister. She was right. Damon knew exactly what she was going through because he had experienced it all, tenfold. He knew that she needed someone who didn't baby her, and Klaus and Elijah would probably always do that even if she were fifty.

Plus being with someone, especially after what Rebekah went through was better than being alone. "What do you want to do?" He asked. And honestly, he was game for anything.

She couldn't help but smile, "I say we go hit up a restaurant and a movie."

As Damon went to go get his coat, she said, "I'm glad you agreed, because if you didn't I would probably have called up dear Bonnie to let her know you have a little crush on her."

There was the Rebekah he knew.

"Remind me how old we are again, Bexs?"

She shoved him a little, but still couldn't help but smile.

It had been a month since Bonnie had returned home and honestly not much had changed in Mystic Falls. The focal points were still here like the high school and the Mystic Grille, and so were the same people.

Bonnie was now in her grandmother's home lying in her old room, watching reruns of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, one of her favorite childhood television shows. She always found an interest in Willow; maybe because of her quirkiness or the fact that she was a powerful witch. The episode she was watching now was when Willow embraced dark magic after Tara died. It actually reminded Bonnie of her addiction with drugs and not being able to keep a hold on it. Maybe that's what Willow felt like. She also found herself relating to Willow because of the friendship she held with Xander and Xander made her think of Matt.

And upon thinking about that, she turned off her television. Even though Bonnie had accepted everything that had happened, being reminded of Matt every five minutes was just too hard for her. Yes, he invaded her thoughts right before she went to bed and when she would just lay there in the dark letting her mind wonder, but right now she really wanted to hold it together.

So, she was definitely pleased when her cell phone went off with a text message from Rebekah. They probably only talked once over the phone when Bonnie informed her that she made it home safely, and then a few text messages here and there.

Hope all is well, love. - Rebekah

Everything is going pretty well on this end, how are you? - Bonnie

Oh you know same old same old, my brothers are hell bent on babysitting me and making sure I don't fall of the wagon. Overprotective wankers lol. - Rebekah

Bonnie couldn't help but smile because she could definitely understand. Her grams checked on her what felt like every five minutes; Caroline and Elena called at least 10 times a day if they weren't visiting. Stefan stopped by every day for a short amount of time even if sometimes they would just sit out on her front porch and not say anything at all. It was crazy how their friendship progressed from being cordial, to not liking him, to being practically brother and sister. She was proud that Elena found a good man in her life, because she needed it.

I understand. But at least you know they love you. –Bonnie.

You're right, doll. - Rebekah

It crossed Bonnie's mind to ask about Damon, but she chickened out; something she had been doing practically every day she thought of him. She would be so close to emailing him, but could never muster up enough courage to do so. Bonnie had to keep reminding herself that at the end of the day Damon was her therapist and the feelings she started having for him in rehab was due to the fact that he was one of the only people that could get through to her through it all.

Her thoughts were interrupted by her other blonde best friend walking through her bedroom door, and flopping down on her bed.

Her grams must have been knitting outside on the porch again, because she didn't hear the doorbell. Knitting was one of Sheila's favorite past times and she was glad that her grams had a lot more time to do one of her favorite hobbies.

"Is it alright if I stay the night with you tonight? My dad's in town and he decides to show his disapproval about me dropping out of school by yelling at me every five minutes. I just needed to get out for a while."

"Of course." Bonnie answered with no hesitation. She knew all too well what it was like to have problems in the home.

Bonnie remembered a few days after she returned home, she and Caroline went to grab lunch at the Grille and Caroline informed her that she dropped out of school. Bonnie was extremely shocked at the news, because Caroline was one of the smartest people she knew. But her best friend felt as if the direction she was heading in didn't involve college right now and she didn't want to waste her family's money if it wasn't for her.

Even though her family didn't approve, Bonnie would always support her friend.

"Do you ever think you'll go back?" Caroline asked, referring to college.

Bonnie sighed a little, "I honestly don't know right now. I feel like everything was extremely clear in the beginning and now… I don't know." It may have not been the best answer, but that's all Bonnie could give her, because she honestly didn't know.

"You ever wish we could back to when we were kids? Everything seemed so simple then."

"Every day," Bonnie replied.

An hour later, Bonnie and Caroline were on a sugar high, eating chocolate upon chocolate and other various sweets. It felt good just to lounge around in each other's company and not necessarily worry about the needs of their future; about school, jobs, and everything else. For this moment they would just act silly and reminisce on fun moments.

"I know I'm going to be sick in the morning," Bonnie groaned, holding onto her stomach.

Caroline agreed, but still inserted chocolate and popcorn into her mouth. "It's just so good though."

The sound of a phone ringing filled the room, and their eyes landed on Bonnie's laptop. It was Elena finally calling them on Skype, who was still staying at Whitmore taking classes. She was a double major and was taking her time through school instead of rushing to get out in a certain amount of years. The great thing about it all is that she made the dean's list each year with her grades and she was getting experience by paid internships. She only had one more final in the morning and then she would be headed home for thanksgiving break. So, Skype was a regular thing for them.

When they answered, they saw her smiling face even though her eyes betrayed her exhaustion.

"Hey love bugs!" Elena tried to sound excited, but she was completely drained

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Caroline asked.

"I think so, I'm all studied out," She yawned.

"You should get some sleep; we can talk tomorrow when we see you." Bonnie suggested.

"I know, but I have some exciting news that I couldn't wait to tell you both."

"Did Stefan propose?!" Caroline squealed.

Elena shook her head at the craziness of her friend, "No, Care, Stef did not propose."

"Excuse her," Bonnie said, "She's on a sugar high."

"That explains it," Elena laughed. "Okay, well, back to the news, Stefan and his family are going to Colorado for Thanksgiving. He said they have a huge cabin and he invited all of us; me, you guys, Tyler, and Jeremy. I think it will be a nice relaxing getaway. And everything is paid for."

"Well I'm down." Caroline quickly agreed, "Getting away from Mystic Falls is much needed right now with my family being in their mood. They really won't care."

Elena's eyes went to Bonnie, "What about you Bons? You have to come."

Bonnie hesitated for a moment, not sure if she wanted to leave her Grams for Thanksgiving. "Can I let you know tomorrow?"

Elena frowned a little, "I guess, but please think about how much fun we will have enjoying the beautiful mountains, the snow, and just hanging out and getting away from Virginia for a while."

After they talked for a few more minutes, Bonnie made Elena hang up and get some sleep for her final tomorrow.

His body was a source to be reckoned with. It felt as if his skin were on fire and in a way… he liked it. Actually he loved it. He felt loose of all of his ambitions; like he didn't have to listen to rules or want for anything. He felt alive…. different.

As he laid there letting the H seep into his skin he knew this is what he needed. This wasn't just the beginning to him… this was eternity.

Damon Salvatore's eyes shot open from his dream… more like memory as he shifted in his seat. Very seldom he found himself thinking of the past… of how his life use to be. He had come so far but sometimes he felt as if he were that 17 year old teen who was completely reckless and didn't have control over his life; even if at the time he thought he did.

Pushing those memories away from his mind, he thought about the more pressing issues he was about to face; like the fact he didn't know until his jet was about to land in Colorado for the week, that Stefan invited his friends to stay during Thanksgiving. And that included Bonnie Bennett. Would it make him less of a man to admit that he was actually thrilled and that his palms were producing moisture, knowing that he would get to see her after not communicating with her for several weeks? Well, let's just say he would never admit that out loud.

His mind then went to the fact that Bonnie would probably shy away from him once she found out that he and Stefan were brothers. She would also probably be mad that no one told her, even though in Damon's defense it wasn't a big secret they were afraid of letting out; he just didn't want Bonnie to be scared to open up just because he was related to her friend.

But besides his mind racing with nothing but Bonnie Bennett for the last month or so, Damon was glad to be off work for the week, leaving the company in good hands with his pal Alaric Saltzman. Though being off really just entailed him being away from the office, because he still had work that needed to be done by him as well as an online conference in two days he couldn't miss.

The hand clasping in his, brought Damon back down to reality. Rose was currently sitting beside him, slightly massaging his hand with hers. He invited her on this trip because he didn't want her to be alone for Thanksgiving, but now he regretted it.

Like he said before, Stefan should have informed him sooner.

Bonnie couldn't take her eyes off of the Cabin once they arrived. Well, more like mansion. It was huge and beautiful. She knew that her jaw was practically being involved with the ground as she stared in awe.

It was cold outside as the snow covered the ground and the roof of the house, giving it a very beautiful postcard effect. She couldn't wait to sit in front of a fire place and drink hot chocolate or chai tea.

Bonnie was really glad that she agreed to go on this trip. She was hesitant at first for leaving her Grams, but Sheila insisted that she go and be with her friends. Grams, Elena's parents, Caroline's parents, and Tyler's parents would be spending time together for Thanksgiving, so it made Bonnie feel better.

"Aren't you glad you came?" Elena smiled, putting her arm around Bonnie's shoulder.

"I will admit, this is absolutely beautiful." And the fact that Stefan let them ride on one of his family's private jets made it all the more worthwhile.

Caroline then whispered to Elena, "You better hold on to this one, Lena. Private Jets, mansions, condos, travel…. A girl can only dream."

"Caroline, what all do you really have in here just for a week?" Mason, Tyler's uncle asked, picking up her bags, and straining his shoulder a bit. Out of all of their older parental figures, Mason was the youngest and the gang liked having him around.

Caroline laughed a bit, "A girl can never be too prepared."

Bonnie hugged her coat to herself as Tyler grabbed her bags. As they walked into the cabin, everyone but Stefan's jaw dropped to the floor. It wasn't just beautiful on the outside; the inside just didn't have enough words for how stunning it was.

"There are 11 bedrooms," Stefan began, "And 12 bathrooms. If you all want to go find an unoccupied room and then I can give you all a tour afterwards…."

Before Stefan could say anything else, a female accented voice filled the room, "Bloody hell! Bons? Oh my gosh!" Rebekah yelled, practically sprinting down the stairs and embracing Bonnie into a tight hug.

"Bekah!" Bonnie was equally enthusiastic, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm staying here for the week with my brothers." She then looked at Stefan, "Stef, I didn't know you were friends with Bonnie."

Stefan smiled, and gave Rebekah a hug. He almost forgot that Bexs was in rehab the same time Bonnie was. He should have figured that they would at least cross paths.

Stefan then introduced everyone he arrived with and when he introduced his girlfriend, Rebekah couldn't help that her eyes widened a little.

"Wait, you look just like…."

"Katherine?" Elena said, but her attention wasn't focused on Rebekah, they were on her twin sister that just walked in from another area with Elijah, three other men, and two women. One she recognized as Stefan's older brother Damon, she only had the chance to briefly once.

Everyone was staring a bit confused. When Bonnie and Damon became aware of one another, Bonnie's heart instantly sped up. The fact that Bonnie didn't put two and two together made her feel a little stupid. Of course Damon and Stefan were brothers. With them standing next to each other you could definitely see how much they favored one another. They both had similar ways about themselves as well, that Bonnie should have picked up on. But she guessed she could use the excuse that she was busy with her own problems at the time.

Another big giveaway was that Stefan always mentioned his brother who went through a drug addiction as well when his family lived in Manhattan.

And as she looked around she started putting two and two together. And when Stefan explained everything it was all confirmed.

After introductions were made, Rebekah was surprised she didn't realize that Stefan and Bonnie were good friends, that his girlfriend was the twin sister to her brother's fiancé. It was all one big mind fuck if anyone asked, but it worked out in the end.

Bonnie had to admit, Rebekah had some really cute brothers and the accents were to die for. Katherine did well.

"We have four more people coming in," Elijah announced, "Two of our guest from college will arrive tonight and two of our other friends will arrive tomorrow.

"Bonnie B, How about I help you and your lovely beautiful friends find a room and give you all a tour," Marcel interjected, putting an arm around both Bonnie and Caroline, causing Caroline to blush and giggle and even Bonnie couldn't help but blush. Marcel may have been a flirt but he was gorgeous and had a smile to make the gods jealous.

While Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena followed Marcel upstairs, Rebekah couldn't help but shake her head with grin. Just like Marcel. Even though Meredith, his on again off again was here, he still found himself flirting in everything in heels.

Damon on the other hand found himself rolling his eyes at his best friend. He should have been showing Bonnie her room and giving her a tour, but Marcel decided to beat him to it. He then glanced at Bonnie for a moment as she walked upstairs. When she looked back, and their eyes connected for a second, he made a mental note to get her alone to talk later.

Meredith being annoyed with Marcel since they arrived, walked out to a different area of the house.

Rebekah and Stefan just shook their head. This would be an interesting week.

"Since Marcel is rude, boys," Rebekah said looking at Tyler, Mason, and Jeremy, "I will show you around."

As everyone was settling in, Bonnie and Caroline were sharing a room that held two queen sized beds.

"So you guys just bonded and became besties in rehab?" Caroline asked, annoyed.

"Yes, Care, but that doesn't mean you're still not my best friend as well. You know I still love you and Elena."

"Yeah, whatever. I'm just saying you guys share something really deep."

"Don't we all though?" Bonnie tried not to laugh at Caroline's jealousy. "I love all of you, you guys are my sisters there is no first or second best."

Caroline's face expression didn't change as she hung some of her clothes in the closet. "Well, you always favored me more over Elena."

Bonnie then through a pillow at her, "Okay, new subject. This place looks like something out of a movie doesn't it."

Caroline then smiled, "This is heaven isn't it?! I don't think I want to go home."

Bonnie laughed as she checked out the bathroom they would be using for the duration of their stay "Care, come in here, you have got to see this." She said in awe.

The bathroom was huge. It had a shower as well as a Jacuzzi style bathtub. Bonnie knew exactly where she would be the majority of her stay.

"Okay, so, you pick one, Klaus or Damon." Caroline joked. "Living this life would be perfect."

"They are pretty hot aren't they?" Bonnie had to admit. Of course she thought Damon was attractive, and so was Klaus. Living under one roof with all of these handsome men would probably be the death of them.

"And plus the way Damon was looking at you, I don't think that Rose lady knows what hit her."

Bonnie shook her head. She almost forgot about Rose… actually she tried to block her from her mind. She wasn't dense. Even though Rose was introduced as just a friend of Damon's, she knew it was much more than that.

"He wasn't looking at me." She lied. Even though he was staring at her; it was just over the sheer shock of them being in the same room after a month.

Caroline gave her the 'BS' look. "Hmm… yeah I don't believe that, especially since you were looking at him too."

Bonnie tried to ignore her by continuing to unpack her suitcase.

"Bonnie Bennett you know him don't you?" Caroline squealed. "But how?"

Bonnie couldn't necessarily lie to Caroline, because she had always been good at reading her. "Okay, but you can't say anything, okay?" Bonnie almost feeling like a middle schooler trying to keep a big secret.

"I won't."

"Promise, Caroline?" Bonnie knew how her best friend liked to run her mouth.

"I promise." Caroline crossed her heart, causing them both to laugh.

Bonnie explained that Damon was her therapist in rehab, and that he really helped her recover. She also hinted that she may have had a little crush on him, but it was nothing. She regretted it instantly when Caroline gave her the look that she would try to play matchmaker.

"Hmm If I knew therapists look like that at rehab, maybe I should check myself in."

Bonnie playfully shoved her friend and before she could say anything else, there was a knock on the door.

Bonnie still eyeing a smiling Caroline said, "Come in."

Stefan and Elena entered, "We're ordering Pizza, what do you guys want on it?" Elena asked.

"Peperoni and banana peppers," Bonnie told them.

"Ooh and pineapple." Caroline added, making Bonnie and Elena scrunch up their faces in disgust.

"I was going to show Elena our land outside, you both are welcome to join?" Stefan offered.

"Sure." Caroline agreed.

"I'll catch up in a few, I'm just going to call Grams and tell her we made it safely."

Once they left, Bonnie called Sheila and afterwards she stepped out of the room and ran into Katherine.

"Sorry," Bonnie apologized.

"Don't worry about it." Katherine said, continuing to walk to her destination. Katherine wasn't as hostile anymore, but she still had that 'I don't give a fuck' attitude.

As she kept walking, Bonnie took the opportunity to say, "Hey Katherine…. thank you."

Katherine stopped walking and turned around. She knew exactly what she meant.

"No problem, just glad you're better." Then she walked back into her room where Elijah was waiting for her.

Bonnie smiled slightly. At first she thought it was Elena who came to visit her at rehab, several months ago, but after talking with Elena, she found out it wasn't her, and putting two and two together, she realized it was her twin. It was an odd thing for Katherine to do, but it was very nice of her and made Bonnie look at her in a different light.

Initially, Bonnie had every intention of making her way outside to catch up with Stefan, Elena, and Caroline, but she found herself wondering around a little longer, gazing at the photos hanging on the wall and the different artwork as well. This place was just so close to perfect it was ridiculous.

She was quickly pulled away from her gaze when she heard her name and smiled upon seeing her best friend from rehab.

"There you are. Have you adjusted well?" Rebekah asked.

"Yes. I know I keep saying this Rebekah, but this place is beautiful." Her voice was filled with admiration.

Rebekah smiled, "I'm glad you were able to come. Look, I was going to go pick up the pizzas, do you want to ride with?"

"Sure," Bonnie agreed.

As they were about to walk downstairs, Rebekah quickly stopped and turned to look at Bonnie, "Oh darn, I forgot my jacket in my room. Would you mind getting it for me? It's white hanging up in the closet. My room is the last one on the right. I have to go talk to Nik about something before we go."

As Bonnie walked a mile to her room, she went to the closet looking through the coats. She didn't see a white one and realized that these didn't look like coats Rebekah would wear.

And when Damon walked out of the bathroom without a shirt on and his hair wet, she realized that she came into the wrong room. Bonnie's hands instantly went to her eyes, "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. Rebekah… she, I thought…Damn it. I'm going to go."

"Bonnie, wait." Damon quickly said, stopping her from walking out the door.

She turned around to face him and had to practically force herself to look everywhere but below his face.

"I thought this was Rebekah's room." She confessed.

"Her room is down the hall," He said, putting on a t-shirt.

Yep, she was going to kill Rebekah.

"How have you been?" This was the first time Damon Salvatore didn't know what to really say as he stood in front of the woman he had become fond of while counseling her back to good health.

Her eyes found his again, "I've actually been pretty good. Just um,… adjusting back to reality."

"That's good to hear. Look, about Stefan and I not telling you about us being brothers…."

"It's okay… I kind of get it. You guys didn't want that getting in the way of helping me get better. It's really nothing to be upset about." She informed him.

Damon nodded. That awkward silence that happen where something wants to be said but you can't really find the words. Well, that moment was happening between them at the moment.

"I missed you." They both admitted at the same time causing them to smile a little. It was odd and unprofessional, but hell, they were no longer in rehab and professionalism went out the door ages ago.

"Ah there you are," Rose entered the room, making Bonnie back away from Damon a little. "Pizza's here."

Bonnie smiled, looked back at Damon then walked out. She had no idea where her head was at the moment, but she couldn't allow herself to go there. She wouldn't…

"She's cute." Rose commented, to Damon. "A little young… but cute."

Damon's eye roll was unseen by her.

"Did I hit a sore spot?" She asked. "If you want, she can join us."

"She's not like that." He quickly disagreed.

"How would you know?" Rose asked.

"I'll meet you downstairs, Rose." And then Damon walked out the door from his own personal cock block.

After everyone ate they sat outside in the back yard around a fire pit, sharing stories and getting to know one another while drinking hot chocolate, or like Elijah, Klaus, and Rose, a stiff drink.

Rebekah ended up apologizing to Bonnie about sending her to Damon's room, but she had been trying to get them to communicate ever since Bonnie left Manhattan's rehabilitation center. Marcel and Meredith got into it a few times again, excusing themselves from the group. Everyone was just indulged in separate conversations; Katherine, Klaus and Stefan were talking. Jeremy, Caroline, Damon and Elijah were laughing about something and Tyler, Bonnie and Rebekah were conversing about things as well. They were all enjoying themselves without a care in the world.

Bonnie then noticed that Elena had not come back yet from retrieving her cell phone. She then excused herself and went upstairs to find her. Knowing Elena, she was touring the house that resembled an antique palace again. Because Bonnie found herself doing that every time she walked out of the room, always discovering something new.

She walked into the room Elena was sharing with Stefan and didn't see her. When she thought she heard her down the hall in the library, she wondered what she could have been doing in there because Elena didn't like to read.

Peaking her head in, her eyes widened in shock.

Elena was kissing Mason. Mason was kissing Elena. They were kissing. Tyler's uncle and her best friend… heavily kissing. Bonnie didn't want to continue to stand their being nosey but she didn't want them to get caught either. She loved Stefan like a brother, but Elena was still her best friend…. her sister.

She then made a coughed a little, gaining their attention. "Elena, Stefan's looking for you."

Bonnie and Elena's eyes connected, and then Bonnie walked off. She knew that they would talk about it later, but right now was not the time.

Bonnie didn't know how long she had been sitting on the front porch admiring the scenery in front of her. After she found Elena and Mason, her first intentions were just to go back outside with everyone, but she found herself needing a moment alone.

"Today was a good day." She said softly, looking up at the stars in the night sky. "I wish you could be here right now to see everyone… to meet everyone that you haven't yet. You would like them. I miss you so much it's painful." She was trying her best not to choke up and cry. "I hope you're doing okay up there…"

"Bonnie?" Damon asked walking outside, "Is everything okay?"

She wiped the single tear form her eye, "Yeah, I just needed a moment alone."

"Do you mind if I sit?" He asked, prepared to walk away if she said no.

"Please."

He sat down beside her, "It can get overwhelming sometimes? A lot of people?"

"A little," She replied, looking back up at the stars. "I'm really glad that I'm here. I just miss him so much…. I wish he were here."

"I understand." He then looked up at the stars as well, "If you ever need to talk about anything, I'm here. And not just as your therapist. I care about you, Bonnie. And I'm here."

She looked at him and saw the sincerity in his beautiful blue eyes, "Thanks, Damon."

A car pulling up pulled them out of their gaze on one another.

They both stood up and when Damon saw the two people getting out the car, he cursed inwardly. He almost forgot Elijah invited two people he hadn't really communicated with since college.

Atticus Shane and Connor Jordan.

Upon seeing the two men walk on the porch, Bonnie instantly froze up. This wasn't real. She thought, as she continued to blink, hoping that she was just imagining things. But she wasn't. Her skin began to feel on fire, yet feel cold at the same time. She felt sick…as if she couldn't process anything. She thought she heard her name being spoken, but it felt distant. She felt as if she were back in college, in Shane's apartment doing things she shouldn't have been doing; letting things be done to her that she shouldn't have allowed, and getting forced into do doing things with Connor she didn't want. She felt small… insignificant.

Bonnie didn't even know if breathing was the main purpose of her life right now, before everything went dark.

A/N: I hope you all enjoyed! Where to begin. I'm not very proud of this chapter. Like I said before, I seriously went back and took a lot out and then added a lot, and this is what I stuck with. I know it's not enough Bamon. Don't hate me for it, but trust me, next chapter will have a lot. And there will also be more of the other characters as well in detail. I thought about waiting to reveal Shane and Connor for the wedding blow out because that will be coming up as well, but I have something else planned during that time. I know the characters seemed OOC, especially Damon in this chapter, but hey, this whole story is OOC lol. But again, I hope you all enjoyed and please review =)

I had every intention of putting in my two sense on the current episodes of TVD, but I won't go completely in. I have seen a lot of things on tumblr that have shared my same exact views lol. I could go in about Bonnie being dead, risking her life for a guy who cheated on her with a ghost for a best friend that wouldn't risk her life for her. But I won't because I'm hoping for her to come back soon. Or I could go in on the fact that I have read comments from many people about the whole Damon/Elena/Stefan triangle or whatever and that Stefan shouldn't really be upset or they are glad Damon finally got the girl. It sickens me in away because Stefan is Damon's brother, and Elena and Damon just seem okay with that. People who have commented about that really don't see that. Yes, I'm still holding out for Bamon… I know it's crazy, but that's what is getting me through this show now. I will say though, I am in love with the originals. I didn't think I would be, but I really like it. And I am loving Rebekah and Marcel.

But okay, enough with my rambling, I made a youtube video on this fanfiction. It's not the best, but hopefully you'll watch it and enjoy. The Title is: Addiction Fanfiction- TVD- Bonnie & Damon. And also I realized the link to my tumblr never showed so if you want to follow me, type in: mamamiaf.

Okay, I'm really done now lol. Please review =) xoxo.
