"I do."

The crowd cheered after those two words escaped Katherine's lips followed by Elijah Mikaelson's. They were husband and wife now and as they made their way down the aisle, there wasn't a dry eye among any of the guest. The wedding and reception was held at the Mikaelson Manor and it was absolutely beautiful.

About thirty minutes into the reception, and everyone was enjoying the food that was served, Elena stood up to make her maid of honor speech. "I wanted to say that I'm proud of my sister," She began, "Katherine and I rarely got a long growing up, but I've always looked up to her as my big sister, even though we're only a few minutes apart. Seeing her and Elijah together during the years has given me so much hope. I think love is this beautiful experience between two people who will always be there for one another and protect each other no matter what. I think it can come sometimes when you least expect it and sometimes it could have just been there all along. I think it makes you a better person even when you don't realize it. So, to my beautiful twin sister and the love of her life, take care of each other. Congratulations."

The whole room cheered as tears were made visible in the crowd. There were also a few stolen glances made between several people in attendance, as they reflected upon Elena's words.

Katherine hugged Elena before she sat down and whispered, "I love you."

Niklaus Mikaelson then stood up, "How do I give my best man speech after that?" He teased. "Elijah, I too am proud of you. And dear Katherine, even though your taste in men is not very pleasant," He smiled and everyone chuckled at his joke, even Elijah and Katherine, "I believe you are good for him. But on a much serious note, the love you both have for one another is quite extraordinary. I heard once that, love is not love which alters when an alteration fines, when things get hard and people change, true love remains the same." His eyes caught the blonde woman sitting in the front for a moment, but then he looked back at the bride and groom. "And I believe that no matter what you two will have a long beautiful life together. Congratulations."

The cheering began again, and as Ed Sheeran's 'Kiss Me' began to play, Katherine and Elijah shared their first dance as husband and wife.

Bonnie never thought she would be the one to shed tears at a wedding as she watched the bride and groom dance, but between Katherine and Elijah's vows and Elena and Klaus's maid of honor and best man speech, she found herself dabbing at the corner of her eyes as the tears appeared.

When the time came for everyone to join them on the dance floor, Damon made his way over to Bonnie and extended his hand.

"May I have this dance?" He asked, trying to sound astute.

Bonnie smiled and took his hand.

Damon had to admit, Bonnie was beautiful. There weren't enough words to describe her beauty on a regular day, and tonight… tonight when he saw her walk down the aisle, for a moment he wished that he was the groom and she was the bride. She absolutely took his breath away.

"So, how long is this thing supposed to last anyway?" He loved Elijah dearly and he was happy for him and Katherine, but he wanted his alone time with Bonnie. He hadn't been able to spend any real time with for the week due to Katherine and her bridezilla demands. There was a time when Damon would have taken his date back to his place or a hotel and they would do things a porno would be proud of, but he could honestly say that all he and Bonnie could do was just sit there in silence, as long as he got to be alone with her. He wasn't going to lie, he did want to be with her in all ways possible and yes he may have had a severe case of blue balls that his hand didn't really substitute for, but for her, he didn't mind waiting. It was definitely unlike him, but he didn't care.

Bonnie smiled, "It just started, Damon." She felt weightless in his arms, as they danced around. Upon seeing Damon when she walked down the aisle, her breath instantly caught in her throat. The term GQ model didn't do him justice in the all black suit he was wearing. Several thoughts rushed through her mind, and she was actually glad Katherine and Elijah decided not to get married in a church, because what she was thinking was definitely not inappropriate.

"But I'd rather spend some alone time with you." He then twirled her around and brought her back to him. Klaus and Marcel told him that he had gone soft while Elijah and Stefan had an absurd idea that he was falling in love. He didn't think either was it, but the way she felt in his arms and the fact they connected on more than just a physical level made him re-think the latter.

"And you're going to get plenty of alone time with me tonight." Bonnie's voice held a hint of a seductive tone, as she rested both of her arms around his neck.

"Is that so?" He smirked, while his arms held her tighter.

"Maybe," Bonnie wanted to tell Damon that they should leave because she wanted nothing more than to be alone with him too, and she had a surprise back at his penthouse for him. But, since they were a part of the wedding, she didn't think leaving as soon as the reception started would be a good idea.

"Are you really going to make me ask?" Marcel said to the blonde woman sitting down beside him.

"What kind of woman would I be if I didn't?" Rebekah's eyes connected with his.

"Dance with me?"

"Is that your way of asking?"

He then leaned towards her and whispered in her ear, "You know you like it."

Rebekah tried her best to hold her composure hoping that she did not blush. "Fine, lead me to the dance floor, but don't get embarrassed when I show you up."

As they made their way out to the floor, Rebekah couldn't help but smile at the sight of Bonnie and Damon. Everyone could see their true feelings for each other even if they hadn't yet. She was proud of Damon because she knew that Bonnie made him happy and he needed that. They both did.

As Rebekah danced in Marcel's arms, she and Bonnie shared a look with one another. A small smile appeared upon both of their lips; even though a few days ago they were both encompassed with tears. The night Rebekah told Bonnie of her heart condition, at least thirty minutes went by before Bonnie could grasp what she was saying. She cried the whole night, and Rebekah shared in her tears. Even though Bonnie was sworn to secrecy, she knew that her best friend would give up her days trying to find her away to get a new heart. But even Rebekah knew it was a lost cause.

"What are you thinking about?" Marcel's voice brought warmth to Rebekah, as her eyes caught a hold of his.

She cleared her throat, "I was just thinking about how I should get an award for being such a good matchmaker,"

After Marcel twirled Rebekah, his eyes found Bonnie and Damon dancing with one another, "They do look happy together. I should probably win an award for the most times failed in an attempt to play the matchmaker game."

"Who have you been trying to play matchmaker with, Marcel?" Rebekah couldn't say she believed him. Marcel was never the one to get into anyone's business.

He leaned into her and whispered in her ear, "You."

Rebekah's heart instantly sped up. Her heart really couldn't take any surprises like that… literally.

"W-what are you saying about?" Okay, award for the most wacked out speech can go right along to her.

"You're telling me you haven't once thought about us?" Marcel's voice was like a smooth caress on her skin.

As Rebekah tried to gain her composure, she had to admit she had been thinking about Marcel in more than a friend way lately. Ever since he came to help her out of rehab, there was something that she saw differently in him. She remembered having a crush on him as a child, but because he only saw her as sister nothing ever went from there.

Silence encompassed them for a moment before Rebekah cleared her throat, "My throat is parched."

She was walking over to get something to drink, before Marcel could process anything. Rebekah never ran away from anything, so it confused not only Marcel but herself.

When Niklaus Mikaelson gave his best man speech, his eyes kept finding their way over to the beautiful Camille, who was among the hundreds of guest in attendance. He hadn't seen her in over a year and hadn't talked to her in over three of those years. The phrase 'the one who got away' applied to them. His inability to commit and his temper was a part of the reason she walked away from him, and the other part…the bigger part, was that she could feel that he was keeping something from her, and though it was true, Klaus would never admit to it.

"May I have this dance, Camille?" Just asking her to dance, made him feel as if he were a teenaged boy again who was clueless to the female sex.

A small smile formed on her lips, as she took his hand.

They danced in silence for a moment until a few words softly escaped her lips, "I've missed you."

"And I, you."

Elena Gilbert watched everyone as they danced together looking truly happy. She tried her best to be, because she was extremely happy for her sister, but she missed Stefan. If she could take everything back, she would. She made a mistake that she wish she could erase. There was no excuse for what she did with Mason, and she felt like a horrible person; she was a horrible person.

"Elena?" The voice that she loved, spoke her name.

She looked up to see Stefan standing before her.

"Would you like to dance?"

"Sure," She smiled, almost shyly and Elena was not a shy person. But she put her hands in Stefan's and let him lead the way.

They didn't know how many songs had passed as they danced in one another arms. For once since the day they broke up, Elena felt at peace. And she hoped that she wasn't going to ruin it.

"Stefan, I…."

"Not tonight," His voice was soft, emotional even. "Let's just forget about everything we've been through for tonight."

And because she loved him so much, because she also wanted to forget for a while, she danced in his arms like they were lovers.

About an hour later, Damon Salvatore was antsy. If he hadn't gave up drinking he would probably be under the bar right now as he watched almost every move Bonnie made. Did that make him an obsessive stalker? And why was the fact that her smiling and laughing at something her blonde friend Caroline said, make him want to grab her into a kiss. What the fuck was wrong with him?

It's like it was killing him to be away from her.

"Let's hope your look doesn't burn holes mate, or Ms. Bennett would be dead." Klaus Mikaelson made his presence known as he walked up beside him.

"Like how you are with Cami. Been stalking her lately?" He knew about Klaus's visits to Lexi's younger sister, even though she didn't.

"No need to be hostile mate." Klaus laughed at how irritable Damon was. "I think you have found yourself a keeper Damon, I wouldn't mess it up if I were you."

Damon knew Klaus was right. Bonnie was someone very special to him; someone that he didn't want to scare away. They had known each other for several months now, majority of those months he had been her therapist even though it became more than that. And though they had spent a short amount of time together out of the therapy, they were able to get to know each other in a way Damon was foreign too with anyone else.

As he watched her begin to dance with Caroline, Jeremy, Tyler, and Elena, he asked Klaus, "How did you know? You know with Cami, that she was the one?" A part of him knew that it was stupid to ask Klaus, because he and Cami haven't technically been together for a few years now. And plus, Klaus was a bit twisted when it came to his feelings for Cami.

"When I let her go…." The change in Klaus's voice grabbed Damon's attention. "I knew before that I loved her dearly, but the moment I let her go…the moment I wanted better for her and to not get her wrapped up in the sins of my life was the moment I knew that there would never be anyone else; that she was it."

Damon knew that Klaus didn't like to open up; they were a lot alike in that department, so hearing this from him was comforting and a bit of a shock.

"Cami is a part of me that I not only wanted to protect but It was like I was drowning and I didn't know until I met her….she's like coming up for fresh air."

Silence engulfed them again, before Klaus broke it. "And I can tell by the look on your face that you feel the same about Bonnie."

As much as Bonnie enjoyed herself at the wedding, with all the planning and long nights and attitudes, she could definitely say she was glad for it to be over. And plus, she was now able to spend some alone time with Damon. They may have shared a few nights sleeping in the same bed but after finally getting over her cold and Katherine being queen bitch of the year with her wedding, they hadn't really got a chance to just spend time.

And thanks to Caroline's help, she was able to sneak away from the craziness last night and fix up Damon's bedroom in his penthouse apartment. Since she would be moving up to New York, he gave her a key to come and go as she pleased, and since he was staying at the Mikaelson's these last couple of nights, she was able to get everything done.

Bonnie was ready to be intimate with Damon. He had been really patient with her and understanding, so she wanted to give him this night.

"If you tell anyone I let you blindfold me to enter my own apartment, I will never live it down." Damon said, as Bonnie led him into his place, and made him wait in the living room while she ran to his room to light the candles.

"If you say it was something kinky then I'm sure you'll be okay."

Damon's dick jumped. It was sad really, that just by one sexual term, his manhood would want to arise.

When Bonnie led him to his room and took off his blind fold, Damon had to admit, it looked really nice. Intimate.

And before he could say anything her lips were on his. "I'm ready, Damon. For you…. I'm ready to be with you." She stepped out of her dress and her body was covered in nothing but a black lingerie piece that made Damon's dick jump even higher and this time stay up.

He should have rejoiced in this moment. He wanted to throw her down on the bed and fuck her into next year, but he wouldn't allow himself to do that.

His arms were around her waist, copping feel after feel. "Bonnie…" Her name came out struggled as he tried his best to control his friend below his waist from rushing to his brain taking control. "You don't know how bad I want you right now." He didn't even remember her helping him out of his jacket, but his hands went to hers, to stop her from unbuttoning his shirt.

"What's wrong?" Immediately, she began feeling a bit self -conscious. Did he not want her in that way? Did she miss all of the signs?

"Nothing… you… you look perfect right now. And you don't know how bad I want to…" He then led her over to his bed and they sat down and faced one another. Maybe bringing her over to the bed wasn't a good idea, as her cleavage was all he could focus on for a moment before he connected back to her eyes.

"Bonnie, when we do this, I want you to be ready. And I know you say you are, but I want you to be ready for you… not for me. You mean more to me than just sex. You're not just some woman like I've had in the past, you're different. You're really special to me."

Bonnie had a few tears in her eyes that she wasn't aware of until they started to fall. "I guess… I just I want you to be happy with me." Bonnie wasn't going to lie she did sound unconfident about herself, but she had a reason. She didn't do well in this department. Yes, she had been with Matt for a little while before he passed, but Shane was the only relationship she had and that was nothing but a toxic mess of trying to please him, yet getting abused for it. She knew Damon wasn't that way but she still had this need to please.

"You don't think I'm happy with you, Bonnie?" He asked. He immediately kissed her lips, possessively, with enough emotion to knock her off her feet if she weren't already sitting down. It left her lips a little swollen. "I don't even think you would understand how I happy I am to be with you. I may lose hardcore points by saying this, but just being in the same room with you even if we're not saying anything at all, I like that."

They were silent for a moment until he continued, "I'm not Shane, Bonnie." Thank God, he immediately thought. "He was a sorry waste of space. He didn't deserve someone as amazing and kindhearted and full of life as you. He sucked that out of you and I can understand that you may not be fully back yet but I plan on making you happy Bonnie. I want you to be happy with me." He knew he was about to say it, and whether she didn't return his feelings or ran for the hills, he would have overcame his fear and he would have told her. "I love you, Bonnie."

Bonnie's breath instantly caught in her throat. She wasn't expecting him to say that or feel the same way that she had felt. "I love you too." Her words were a little bit above a whisper before she kissed him.

He then stood up and began taking off his clothes until he was just in his boxers, "Tonight we are going to be intimate. But we don't have to have sex to do that."

She smiled at him. After everything that she had been through, Damon was like coming up for fresh air. And before she knew it she was lying on her stomach, her back now exposed, while Damon was giving her a pleasurable massage.

This was intimacy that Bonnie had never felt before, and she was glad she was experiencing it with Damon.

Rebekah Mikaelson opened her bedroom door, after hearing a knock, to see Marcel standing there with Strawberry milk and Oreos.

"Night cap?"

She let a small smile form on her lips at the fact that Marcel knew her so well, to remember her favorite bed time snack when they were kids.

Letting him into her room, and closing the door behind him, she took the towel out of her wet hair. "You must not have been able to sleep." It was already around three in the morning.

"I could say the same to you." He put the items in his hand down and stood only a mere inches away from her.

"Marcel…." Her voice came out a bit raspy. When did holding composure become hard in front of him?

"Why did you run Rebekah? You never run away from anything and you avoided me the rest of the night."

"I don't know what you are talking about." She moved away to get a cookie, but he gently grabbed her arm causing her to turn around. And before she could say anything he placed his lips upon hers.

Rebekah broke the kiss a few seconds later, and the silence between them only lasted a moment before she pulled him back into the kiss, attacking his lips. When he picked her up, she was glad that she had her own wing so no one would hear them tonight.

Rebekah and Marcel faced one another as they lied in bed and snacked on the Oreos, trying to fuel themselves back up again. Rebekah couldn't help but giggle a little as Marcel's hand traced her thigh.

"I cannot believe we just did that."

"I can… I know how much you've wanted me, Bexs."

Even though Rebekah could hear the wit in his voice, she could still hear a bit of arrogance. "Cocky much? Plus, I'm sure you've wanted me ever since we were little. What was your excuse again? You're like a little sister to me, Bekah." She tried mimicking his voice, "Yet, every time I was remotely interested in anyone you would try your damn hardest to scare them off."

"Hey, I wasn't the only one, it was all of your brothers and Stefan and Damon."

She hated those times. That's why she was never able to be serious with anyone because no guy could handle her daunting brothers. "Bloody awful times."

"But you are right. I've liked you for a while now Bekah, but the timing just never seemed right for both of us." He was right, because at one point he was a drug addict and at one point she was. He was with Meredith on and off and she was with Alexander. School conflicted back in the day as well, and then there was the matter of not wanting to ruin what they have as friends.

"Not to spoil this moment but what happens now?" Rebekah did like Marcel and if this was only going to be a one- time thing then she should know.

"Whatever you want to happen," His voice was calm. "If you want to remain friends after this then I'll do it, if you want something more, than we can do that too. But no matter what, what we did isn't going to make it weird between us." He kissed her exposed shoulder.

She then leaned forward and kissed his lips. "I think… you should go get me some more strawberry milk."

Marcel smiled and kissed her again. "Rebekah Mikaelson, always demanding.

Before Marcel even thought about going downstairs, he went to go use Rebekah's restroom.

Rebekah couldn't help herself, she almost felt like a young giddy school girl again who just got her first kiss. She almost wanted to call Bonnie to let her know that she and Marcel took it beyond a kiss, but she knew her best friend was preoccupied with Damon tonight.

And as quick as the happiness came in her body, it left as soon as Marcel walked out of her bathroom with her pill bottle in his hand and an angry expression on his face.

Did it make her stupid that in the moments she just spent with Marcel that she forgot she had a heart condition and was going to die? And it was crazy because beforehand she had taken her medicine and left it on her bathroom counter.

Rebekah hadn't been feeling bad at all. Yes, she was a little tired lately but that was mostly due to her new sister in law keeping them up all night this past week with wedding preparations. Her doctors told her that symptoms would start to arise and worsen as the time went longer without a transplant. But Rebekah felt healthy as a horse.

"What is this?" Marcel asked. He didn't read the bottle, because bottles like this, prescription or not, only meant one thing to him.

"I can explain…."

"Rebekah, please don't tell me…."

She realized he thought she was reliving her drug addiction days. "No, that's not what that is." She then stood up in front of him, putting her robe on.

"What is it then?"

She really hadn't planned to tell Marcel until…well until she was pretty much on her last breath, and telling him now after what they just shared was going to be hard.

"Please sit down." She could feel the tears forming.

As she began to tell him, he did what she expected. He got angry; upset that she waited to tell him and that she was going to continue to wait if he hadn't found it. He wanted to throw things and almost did but it wasn't his room and he knew everyone in the house would come barging over. And then he did something that she did not expect… he began to cry. And seeing him cry made her cry.

Rebekah brought her arms around Marcel in a tight embrace, "I'm going to be okay, Marcel."

And yet they both knew that she wasn't.

1 year later…..

"It's about time you got back! Where the bloody hell did you go anyway?!"

Bonnie wasn't even taken back at Rebekah's frantic tone. They were having their first fashion show tomorrow, showing off all of Rebekah's designs, and they still had a few more pieces to put together.

"You better not have been having a mid -day shag with Damon. We don't have time. If I am taking a sex break from Marcel until after the show, than you are too."

"Alright Ms. Bossy pants, but that's not where I was. But before we get into that," Bonnie walked to their fridge, pulled out a bottle of water and got Rebekah's pill bottle off the counter. "Why are these still sitting here?"

Rebekah didn't say anything as she continued working on her umpteenth outfit.

"Bekah?"

"I don't have time to take those bloody pills right now. I need to finish these last five outfits and we don't have any time!" The new pills that the doctors prescribed a couple of months ago, due to her symptoms getting worse, made her feel drowsy and want to go to sleep afterwards. She would usually take them every morning when she was at her peak, because she wouldn't have the need to go back to sleep, but she had yet to take any today.

Bonnie handed her the pills and the water, and Rebekah hesitated but she took them, knowing that Bonnie would force them down her throat if she had too. "Rebekah you know this fashion show is going to be a success. Everything is taken care of down from the venue, the 250 guest who are confirmed to be in attendance, the decorations, the models, make- up artists…. absolutely everything. And you know we'll finish these designs, plus Caroline and Elena are coming in tonight so they can help as well."

Rebekah took a breath of relief, "You're right, Bonnie. I just don't want any mistakes and a lot of big people will be there tonight who will see my designs."

"And they are going to love them."

"I don't know why you just won't go into business with me and be my partner. You can design clothes, you handle everything business related; you're good at this."

Bonnie wasn't going to disagree. She knew she was good at what she did and she had taken a liking to the fashion world, but she knew that it wasn't completely for her. She felt there was something else out there that she wanted to do, but she just didn't know what yet. As of right now, this paid the bills and even though Rebekah and Damon were filthy rich, Bonnie wasn't raised to be a freeloader.

Simple as that.

Bonnie followed Rebekah to her room, and watched as her best friend sat on her bed. "You promise to wake me up in an hour."

"I'll wake you up, when I feel like you're rested."

"An hour Bonnie." Rebekah complained.

"I'll decide Rebekah." She mimicked her voice.

Bonnie kicked off her shoes and got in bed with Rebekah, putting her arm around her. It helped Rebekah to have someone close when she slept, and since Marcel wasn't allowed over until the fashion show was over, then Bonnie didn't mind taking over.

"Where were you by the way?" Rebekah asked, already feeling the effects of the medicine taking over.

"Go to sleep, I'll tell you when you get up."

And about a few minutes later, Rebekah succumbed to sleep.

It had been a year since Bonnie moved to New York and she had been enjoying every minute of it for the most part. She and Rebekah found a nice apartment in the city of Manhattan. She works in Rebekah's boutique, designing clothes, selling clothes, marketing, accounting… you name it, and Bonnie learned to do it. And even though it was a fun job and she got to work with her best friend, she wasn't sure if it was what she wanted to do forever. Rebekah hinted almost every other day that they should partner up, but Bonnie didn't want to commit and then disappoint. She still had plans to go back to college and obtain her degree. And, even though the news she found out today may put a damper in it for a little while, she didn't mind because she still had time to figure it all out.

She and Damon had been doing really well. Their relationship had progressed in more ways than one. But even though things had been going great with them, they had still been prone to arguments. What couple hadn't? But through it all they would make up because their love was stronger than some petty arguments and some stupid jealous moments.

Bonnie and Rebekah had become closer as well. After becoming roommates and working together they spent a lot of their time together. Rebekah and Bonnie had gone beyond the bounds of friendship and viewed each other as sisters. They were practically soul mates. And even though they both tried not to think about what would come, it killed Bonnie that she could lose her.

The ringing of the doorbell, made Bonnie's eyes violently shoot open. As she tried to regain her focus, she glanced at the clock and saw that it was 8pm. She never planned on letting Rebekah sleep that long and she hadn't planned to fall asleep herself.

She shook Rebekah awake and then went to answer the door to reveal Caroline Forbes. It had been about six months since they saw each other in person, and her arms immediately went around her best friend.

When she noticed several of Caroline's bags that looked like she would be staying for several months instead of a week she couldn't help but laugh. "I've missed your over excessive packing."

"Well, you can't be too prepared in New York. Plus, I have a really big favor." Caroline said, as Bonnie helped her with her bags. "I have an interview here in two weeks and I wanted to know if I could stay here until then?"

"Of course! You didn't tell me you applied for a job up here."

"Trust me; I've applied everywhere that isn't Mystic Falls." Caroline decided to pursue her passion as an event planner since she was so good at it. And ever since she and Jeremy broke up those six months ago and he was back in Mystic Falls for a while, she needed to be out of there. And plus, Mystic Falls wasn't a place she wanted to live forever.

Bonnie knew that she was going to succeed in everything she did. "I know you just got here, but are you ready to work?"

"Ugh, don't remind me." Caroline almost wanted to get back on the plane when she received Bonnie's text message of pulling an all-nighter to finish up some designs. "I came to watch the fashion show, not be a part of it."

"And you won't even get to do that if you don't get to it." Rebekah walked out of her room, ready to get started. "Hello, Caroline."

"Rebekah."

Caroline and Rebekah had become somewhat cordial since it became known that Bonnie wasn't going to drop either one of them. She still hadn't realized why they didn't like each other when they were somewhat a lot alike.

"Bonnie, I told you one hour, now we are behind." She said moving around a bit frantically.

Bonnie just shook her head; this was going to be a long night.

It was around two in the morning and Rebekah allowed everyone a ten minute break because twenty minutes was being too lenient. Elena made it down and Katherine and Vicky came over to help. Bonnie, Elena, and Caroline were in her room, catching up a little before they had to continue working.

"So, Lena, how is Law School going?"

"It's going…" Elena said, lying back on Bonnie's bed. They were all exhausted. "I'm just glad to be on a break for a couple of weeks, and I've missed you guys so much." Elena got into law school in California and she was really enjoying it over there. Plus, she had a familiar face in Tyler who decided to pursue law as well. He and Elena shared an apartment together and even though people assumed things about them, their relationship was purely platonic.

"How are you and Stefan?" Caroline asked Elena, gradually closing her eyes, hoping that they didn't have to go back out there.

"We're okay. We're taking it slow." Slower than slow. Ever since they slept together at Katherine's wedding, they had a long talk and decided that they would take it slow with texts and phone calls and if by chance they found their way back to each other down the road then they wouldn't be against it. Their schedules had been extremely busy with Elena being in Law School and Stefan running his own restaurant, they barely had time to even text sometimes. So, it was safe to say that she was glad that she would be seeing him tomorrow.

At the sound of Rebekah's voice, Caroline rolled her eyes and they all went back to the living room to continue working.

They were officially done about two hours later and that gave everyone just enough time to sleep. Katherine got a car to take her back to her penthouse with Elijah and to drop Vicky off at her place. Elena and Caroline fell asleep in Bonnie's room, and Bonnie went to sleep in Rebekah's room.

"Tomorrow is going to be great Rebekah, just you watch." She yawned, getting under the covers.

Rebekah wasn't worried anymore, now that everything was done. She knew it would be a success.

"Now, before I go to sleep, what did you want to tell me earlier?"

"I'm pregnant."

Rebekah could barely hide her shriek as she immediately gave Bonnie a hug. "Does Damon know?"

"Not yet, but I'm going to tell him tomorrow after the show. Instead of going to the after party we're going to spend some alone time together." Which was much needed after this hectic week. When Bonnie found out earlier today that she was pregnant, a part of her was a little bit skeptical in how she would tell Damon, because she wasn't sure how he would take it. But Damon was a good man, so no matter what this baby would be cherished.

As they lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling, Rebekah broke the silence that had fallen among them. "Why did you tell me first?"

"Because you're my sister. And…. I want you to be godmother."

Rebekah smiled, "I'm glad you asked, because I was going to do it whether you asked or not. I'm going to spoil little him or her."

A few minutes later, they both fell asleep, and the night Bonnie and Damon made love for the first time, several months ago, invaded her dreams.

Past- several months ago.

"You could have been seriously hurt, Damon! And you have a reputation to protect! You can't be seen all over the news and in magazines in stupid club fights!" Bonnie practically yelled.

"Bonnie, he had his hands all over you!"

"We were dancing salsa Damon, what do you expect. It was nothing but a friendly dance!" Bonnie, Vicky, and Katherine decided to go dancing, and a couple hours in, Damon and Elijah showed up. Damon made it seem like it was a coincidence even though everyone knew it wasn't.

"Yeah, it really looked like it."

"It was just dancing, Damon!" She was beyond frustrated now.

"I'm not apologizing for what I did."

"I'm not going through this jealous shit anymore, Damon." This wasn't the first time his jealousy got the best of him. "This has Shane's name written all over it, and I'm not going to let it get worse."

Silence.

"Low blow, Bonnie." He didn't yell but she could tell that he was hurt. "You know I would never hurt you the way Shane did. He was fucking crazy Bonnie. Wanting to protect you is completely different then how he was and until you can figure that out, then give me a call."

Damon walked out of her apartment and slammed the door shut after him.

The tears were coming out of Bonnie's eyes before she could stop them. She didn't mean what she said. She knew that Shane still held a damper on her with things that had happened in the past, but she knew comparing Damon's jealousy to Shane's jealousy was a low blow and it was completely different. Hell, Bonnie felt herself getting jealous over girls that threw themselves at Damon.

Immediately she called him, and as the phone kept ringing, she knew he wasn't going to answer. The look on his face killed her, and she would feel that way if he kept comparing her to someone else; someone who wasn't worth their time.

Her door opened before she realized it, and he walked back in, pulled her in his arms, and kissed her with all the passion and love he had for.

"I'm sorry," she breathed, as he wiped her tears.

"I'm sorry too."

"You are nothing like Shane; absolutely nothing like him. It's my own insecurity right now."

"Bonnie I get jealous. I do, I love you so much that I don't want to lose you. Maybe we both have insecurities." He kissed her again. "But does that make me any better than him?" He remembered everything she revealed about what Shane did to her, and he was glad he killed him, but was he any better?

Bonnie's hands were gently cupping his face, "Damon, do you abuse me? Do you think of abusing me? Of controlling me? Do you think I'm nothing?"

"Absolutely not."

"Then you are nothing like him. I get jealous too, a lot. But I know that no one is going to take you away from me, and that goes both ways."

Damon's lips were on hers immediately following Bonnie's words. The kiss was rough, hot, and passionate. Emotions were pouring out of both of them, as he backed her against the wall. They were both glad that Rebekah was spending the night at Marcel's because they both knew what was about to happen.

His lips were on her neck as he picked her and her legs instantly locked around his waist. She certainly didn't notice that he'd taken her to her bedroom until she was lying flat on her back. She was surrounded in pure bliss as he took her dress off and began kissing every inch of her.

"Damon…" she panted.

Hearing her moan his name was his breaking point. He took off her bra and panties, lavishing her nipples with his tongue. While he was concentrated on that, he inserted two of his fingers into her warm sheath, causing her to cry out in pleasure.

He finger fucked her to the point he almost got a release. And as the orgasm escaped her, his tongue replaced his fingers and she squirmed. Her juices flowed all through his mouth as he began to cause sweet torture on his sex.

"Damon… please…" she couldn't take it anymore. She wanted him inside of her. Her hands were grasping onto his hair to the point that she thought she would rip all of it out.

Damon was out of his clothes before they realized it, put on a condom and got between Bonnie's legs. He inched in slowly at first, but when he felt how tight her walls were, he couldn't help but thrust in a little quicker…. harder, and she tightened her legs around him. Bonnie didn't think he was going to fit but she welcomed him when he reached her womb.

Damon had to stifle his moans, as she matched his rhythm. He wanted their first time to be slow, but he couldn't contain himself. It had been so long, and he was on the verge of coming.

Bonnie's hands gripped his shoulder, while Damon held on to one of her thighs and thrust in and out of her harder and faster to the point that if he stopped he might die.

When Bonnie found her release, Damon came not too long after her.

As they tried catching their breath, Damon kissed her forehead.

"I love you." She breathed out.

"I love you too."

And somehow through it all, Damon rolled over and brought Bonnie on top of him. He was hard again. And he wanted more of Bonnie…. he wanted her in control. And Bonnie took ahold of the reigns, not caring if the neighbors heard them.

Present.

They were right; the fashion show was a huge success. Even though they did run into a little problem with a few of the models being sick due to food poisoning, Rebekah came up with a quick solution of having Elena and Katherine step in to give it a cool twin vibe. The crowd enjoyed everything and Rebekah even received a few business cards of people who were very interested in her work.

Afterwards, everyone found their way to the after party, while Bonnie, Rebekah, Damon, and Marcel stayed behind.

"I'll just be a few minutes; I'm going to make sure Rebekah doesn't need anything before I go."

Damon kissed her. He missed his girlfriend, and even though he resented Rebekah for her stupid no sex rule, he didn't think it meant no interaction at all. But, when Bex got that way, you didn't want to cross her. "Try not to get pulled into anything because I've missed you and want you all to myself."

She then wrapped her arms around his neck, "I've missed you too. And I have to tell you something tonight."

Before Damon went to his car, he stood outside to talk to Marcel.

Bonnie went to the back, and called Rebekah's name. No answer. She called it again. No answer. And that's when she walked further into the back and saw Rebekah passed out on the floor.

Bonnie didn't know if time was moving slow or moving fast as she called for help. She vaguely remembered seeing Damon and Marcel rush in and barely saw the paramedics take Rebekah to the hospital. She didn't even become aware of anything until she was in the waiting room in the hospital.

It was safe to say everyone knew now.

If Elijah wasn't talking to a specialist in person, he was on the phone trying to get her on the transplant list. He would use all of his money and all of his resources to make sure his sister did not die. All the while trying to find a solution, his thoughts kept being consumed with the fact that Rebekah didn't come to him and tell him. His sister had been sick for over a year and he didn't even know.

Klaus had to be escorted out of the building to cool off for a moment. His violent nature caused him to push two orderlies and throw a few chairs because no one could give him the answers he wanted.

Bonnie found herself standing outside beside him.

Klaus had become like a brother to Bonnie in the past year, and though he wasn't a happy go lucky, show and tell type of person, and he had a lot of demons in his closet, they were still able to connect.

"It's just like Rebekah to keep this from all of us." His words were raspy, as the tears formed in his eyes.

"She didn't want to worry anyone."

"I can't lose her too. I've lost two of my brothers, and I can't…" He choked on a sob. "She's my sister. Practically my other half. This was not how her life was supposed to end up." He wanted more for her. She deserved more. And now…now she may never get a chance to have it.

Damon's voice entered their ears, before anything else can be said, "She's awake."

Klaus left Bonnie and Damon alone to go see his sister.

Damon was a wreck. Rebekah Mikaelson was practically his little sister. She was his family and knowing that she would die was killing him. Why didn't she tell him? Why didn't she tell her brothers? Something could have been done, and now… now it was too late.

"You knew?"

Hearing Damon's voice chilled her instead of provided comfort as she faced him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" The tears were visible in his eyes and so was a hint of the anger.

"She made promise not to."

"Damnit, Bonnie, I think someone's health surpasses any promises. If we would have known something, we could have helped. What have you been doing? Just waiting for her to die."

Wow, Bonnie thought. The fact that he could stand there and accuse her of something like that, hurt her way more than pissed her off. "You want to know what I've doing? Every single day, I have called doctors all over this country to see what they could do. I have called transplant doctors and begged them, pleaded with them for them to put her on the list. I have even went as low as going to brain dead victims, parents and asked them if they could give their child's heart to us. So, that's what I've been doing. Because I don't want to lose her either." She tried her best not to break down and cry, but the tears continued to fall. "Look, Damon, I know you're upset and you're hurt because Rebekah kept this from you and because I kept this from you, and I'm sorry, but don't ever accuse me of just waiting for my best friend to die." And then she walked passed him into the hospital.

Damon honestly couldn't give a reason to why he said that to Bonnie. He instantly regretted it as soon as it came out, because he didn't mean it. He was being a world class jack ass right now. He could barely feel anything right now as the pain coursed through him at the thought of losing Rebekah, so he was on edge.

He didn't even realize when his brother came outside. The look on his face told him everything he needed to know. Elijah couldn't do anything. Nothing could be done. Rebekah was going to die.

Bonnie didn't know what time it was, but she knew that it was the next night and no one left the hospital. Rebekah's condition had gotten worse, and if she didn't get a transplant in a couple of days she would die. And everyone was miserable; not knowing what to do. Unless someone just gave their heart to her specifically, then she wasn't going to get one on the transplant list.

Bonnie entered her room, and Rebekah gave her a small smile.

"We put on a kick ass fashion show, didn't we?" Rebekah didn't want to cry anymore. After she spoke with Elijah and Klaus and Damon and Stefan, she really couldn't take anymore tears. Klaus could barely look at her and Elijah tried his best to keep it together. Which was expected from both of her brothers.

When Bonnie didn't say anything, and she saw the tears leaving her best friends eyes, she patted the bed for her to sit down.

"Bonnie, we've made it this long."

"It's not enough time. I'm still looking and we're going to find…"

"Bonnie, you have done so much for me in this past year and I am more than thankful, but I'm going to be okay."

"How can you say that, Rebekah? You're going to die. How is that okay?" And Bonnie just broke down crying. The time they saw coming was here, and nothing could be done.

Rebekah grabbed Bonnie's hand softly, "Hey, stop your tears; you are going to upset baby in there."

Bonnie could tell Rebekah was trying to hold it together, but the tears still came.

Bonnie opened the door to their apartment and Marcel followed behind her. Rebekah wanted a few of her things to make her feel comfortable because she hated hospitals. They stopped here first and would be going the Mikaelson Manor next.

"I'll be right back." Those were the first words she and Marcel spoke to each other all day, as she went into Rebekah's room to grab some of her things. In the midst of looking for specific items, she heard a loud crash and rushed back into the living room to see Marcel throwing things.

And as much damage as he was causing, she let him release his anger without interrupting.

When he finished, Bonnie grabbed him into a hug as he cried. "I can't lose her, Bonnie. I can't…. what am I going to do?"

She couldn't answer that.

After they grabbed a few of her things, they were all prepared to go to the Manor, but for some reason Marcel's car wouldn't start. He didn't have time to check anything because he needed to get back to Rebekah, so he began flagging down a taxi.

"Do you guys need a ride?"

Stefan pulled up beside them.

He was headed back to the hospital, after leaving for a while with Elena. He needed to clear his mind and one thing led to another, that they ended up providing comfort in each other. But it wasn't just a physical comfort; she ended up holding him as he cried over the pain of Rebekah. He just couldn't take it. Knowing that there was nothing that he could do; knowing that she never told him killed him. He and Rebekah shared so much with one another, and now she was going to die.

Bonnie was grateful that Stefan showed up and was able to drive them to the Manor. No one said a word while she was in the passenger seat and Marcel was in the back, as they were lost in their thoughts.

Knowing it would take a little while to get there, Stefan decided to turn on the radio to drown out the silence and Bonnie turned to him and provided a little smile.

And just that little gesture gave Stefan a sense of hope. But all of that hope was gone when he didn't see the other vehicle in time to move out of the way. Or when his car tumbled and slammed into a tree.

The scene would have made anyone sick. The visual of Stefan lying on the hood of his car with glass shattered from head to toe, the look of Bonnie impaled by a sharp object against her seat, and the fact that Marcel was no longer in the car because he was thrown out…

A/N: What did you guys think? I know a lot went on, but like I said, this chapter is a major turning point. I will say in the next chapter we will lose one of our main characters. This story will have its fun and good moments but there will always be some tragedy around the corner.

But I hope I haven't lost any of you, and I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Please review.
