A/N: I'm not going to lie, this chapter was not proof read since I just finished it and I'm too tired to re-read it. I'll read it tomorrow so please don't hit me for my misspellings and such. Sadly, I can't seem to get in touch with my beta so hopefully I will soon otherwise I might need to get a new one T^T

It's a bit of a filler chapter but it's important to the story so bear with me.

Anyway, a little angst in this chapter but not too much. I'm uploading a bit early since I finished this earlier than expected, I'll be going back to one every week after this... Unless I change my mind :D

Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight, it belongs to SM. What does belong to me though is this plot and any original characters that I add in there. I repeat: I make no profit off of this.

CHAPTER SIX: MEMORIES

When Bella awoke she found herself staring at a smooth white ceiling. The material looked like smooth rock but then again she could be wrong. Her fingers flexed and she immediately let out a groan of pain, "what in the world?"

A quick glance at her aching hand was enough for her to remember everything about the prior day. The Blood Bond between her and Prince Edward, the murder, Judgement Day. Everything was coming back to her and she felt tears prickling at her eyes. She hated this, all she wanted to do was go home, have an awkward breakfast with her dad and slip down the stairs like she usually did every morning. Crying was never an option but for some reason she felt a lot more miserable than usual. Was everything finally sinking in? The sound of cloth being moved finally caught her attention, brown eyes met with sharp emerald.

"I see you're finally awake." He motioned towards her hand, "Does that hurt?"

Bella frowned, "W-What?"

"You feel sad for some reason, so I'm asking you if your hand hurts." Edward was beginning to lose his patience.

"Okay look, you don't have to start snapping at me okay?" Bella snapped, eyes narrowing in anger. After a moment, "What? How do you know I'm sad?" She felt around her face for tears and yet came back with nothing. Did she look that miserable?

"Blood Bond." He replied easily as though it were the most simple thing in the world. With one last look at Bella's confused expression, he finally decided to answer. "I made a Blood Bond with you yesterday which explains your hands. I can feel certain instances of your emotions, though I can only feel them when they are strong and concentrated."

When her confused expression didn't disappear he sighed, "I can feel your strong emotions, I can feel your physical pain and if anyone kills you, I die."

Bella frowned, still confused, "But I don't understand. Why would you want to do that? What if the Queen decides to give me the death penalty today?" Sure, that thought was terrifying. She never wanted to die in an unknown world, in front of unknown people but it was a definitely possibility.

"She, by law, can not give you the death penalty." He replied and once again sighed at her confused expression. "The death of a royal is harshly frowned upon and due to your death also brings me to my demise, she can not kill you-"

A wide smile stretched across Bella's lips, she was going to live! "for two years." He ended.

A moment of silence took over the room while Bella processed his words. "Say what now?"

"The Blood Bond only lasts two years in most cases. There's only one way to prolong it for eternity." He rolled his shoulders, they were tense. This long explanation was going to last for all eternity.

"So... How do we do that?" She asked innocently.

"There's no point in telling you that." His ice cold glare was enough to freeze an active volcano, hell! The sun!

"And why not? I'll do anything to be honest. Let's just make it last eternity!" Or at least until she leaves but Bella wasn't going to add that last part.

"Really? You're prepared to give me your purity to remain in a Blood Bond with me forever?"

Another long silence took over the room as the words sunk into Bella's head. Soon after, she could feel all the blood rushing to her cheeks. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. "Oh- I- Uh... I mean... I didn't- I don't- I'm not uuuhhhhh 'pure'."

His eyes widened, "What?"

"I'm not a virgin!" She snapped, was it so unbelievable? "Geez, want me to spell it out for you too?"

"I didn't ask..." Edward almost slapped himself, how could he have forgotten to ask about her purity? His mind was so wrapped up in other affairs so that particular bit of information clearly slipped his mind. If that's the case, how is she still alive? "You're lying."

Bella's eyes narrowed, for some reason now she felt offended. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She hissed. "What? You think guys are the only ones allowed to have sex before marriage or something? Was I supposed to wait for prince charming to swoop me off my feet? Or was I supposed to-" Her rant would have continued was it not for Edward's hands that were not clamped on her lips.

"Silence." His emerald eyes narrowed in anger, her long verbiage was exhausting and honestly, quite annoying. "You should be dead if you're not pure. I will admit, I should have asked before creating the Blood Bond."

Bella silenced, her eyes widened in fear, she was a breath away from death without knowing? "Wa- you -shico!" Her hand swatted his away from her mouth, "As I was saying. You sicko! How could you?! I could have died?!" She screamed, getting ready to throw something at him.

"I already admitted to my fault. What more do you want from me?" He shrugged, appearing emotionless which was far from it. He may not particularly like the female but he didn't wish death upon her. How could he have done something so irresponsible?

"Well I don't know, how about an apology? An apology's not even good enough now that I think about it. Did you even hear yourself? I could have died!" Her logical self was thinking that it was a good thing to be alive but her emotional self was seriously pissed off. What? Did he automatically assume she was pure? She really hated this time period. Now that she thought about it, women were supposed to be insignificant for anything other than reproducing at this point. Couldn't she have gone to the future or something?

"Alright fine. I..." The prince trailed, he'd never apologized before. "I sincerely apolo-" he was cut off from a loud ringing sound, what was that horrendous sound. Suddenly a gruff voice came through,

"Bella? Bells? Bella sweetie? Can you hear me? I don't know where you went but me and your dad are worried sick and we really want you to come home. Please call me back."

After a few moments, the same voice came through again.

"Bella? Please! I'm worried sick over here, you don't have to make me the mashed potatoes or the make-out session anymore... just please come home! I'm worried sick over here! Call me back, I love you."

Another moment and yet another voice came through, this time much deeper than last time.

"Young lady. Yer absolutely grounded and you better be ready with an explanation when I do find you. Call me back, Jake's crashed in your room like some sort'a sick puppy. Um... err..." The sound of scratching was heard, "Yeah call me."

When Edward finally thought it was over, the sound of a man crying could be heard through whatever was causing the sounds. They were obviously referring to the Bella that was currently sitting on his bed. He suddenly felt droplets of tears streaming down his cheeks and wondered why in the world he could possibly be crying. Emerald green finally glanced over at the now sobbing girl with the shaking shoulders. He hadn't seen her break down before, despite everything. Being thrown around jagged rocks and stuffed into a small cell for animals with no sort of nourishment was fine but hearing voices was enough to break her.

He sat there in silence and listened to her cry while she muttered, "Charlie.." She cried, "Jake..." The two stayed like that in silence before Bella seemed to snap again, violently reaching for an object in her pocket and breaking it in half. Oh... no, she merely opened it.

"Jake! Dad?!" She screamed into the object as though it was meant to reply to her. "Please... Anyone." Then the crying resumed. Edward wasn't sure how long he stayed there, leaving felt rude besides, he couldn't show his face dripping in tears even though they were not his own. After what felt like an eternity, he heard her sobs turn into mere sniffles. She wiped her face with her hands and began to quiet down. "I'm sorry about that, this whole situation is just so stressful right now."

"It's alright. Were those..."

"I don't really want to talk about it right now. I'm sorry but I just cried about hearing the voices of those dear to me, talking about them would bring up memories and I would end up a blubbering mess again so please... Not right now."

Edward nodded, she told him off in a very polite manner. "Alright."

An awkward silence stretched across the room, tensions were high. "But... Yes... Don't we have something today?"

Edward sighed, the last thing he wished upon her was his mother's wrath but considering the time was near, it needed to be done. "Tomorrow is judgement day I hope you know, you're going in front of father and mother."

Bella groaned and flopped back onto the sat surface she was on. It felt... odd and yet comforting. After a good look at his face, Bella seemed to frown, "Why are you crying? I get why I'm crying but..."

"I told you, I feel your strong emotions. You crying in deep sadness brings tears to my eyes." He explained.

"Oh... I guess that makes sense. So uh... where am I anyway? This looks like a really fancy room." She added trying to alleviate the tension in the room, in fact, said room was actually gorgeous. There were precious gemstones everywhere and the materials looked costly.

"You're in my room." He shrugged and almost laughed at her expression. It seems she rarely visited another gender's room. The blood rushed back to her cheeks and Edward let out a soft chuckle. It truly was amusing how her emotions were all over. One moment she was in tears, another in embarrassment. She was definitely a strange one.

"Um..." She trailed, looking around as though it turned into a new room. "Say what now?" She asked in embarrassment.

The prince resumed his laughter. Bella's expression only caused him to laugh even harder.
