Hiccup's Pov
"I think he's dead." A voice said. I groaned and opened my eyes. There was a bird woman poking me with a stick. I jumped back, flying onto the top of a large globe with dots on it. Around me were five people- I saw a large furry…thing, someone who looked like Odin whom I assumed to be Santa Claus, the bird woman, Sandman, and Jokul Frosti. Two other people were unconscious. A bunch of tiny fairies who bared resemblance to the bird woman carried one. The bird woman was yelling at the mini bird fairies about a girl, something about not wanting her here unconscious. "Who are all of you? Why did you bring me ere and why in the name of the gods did you shove me in a bag, Frosti?" I asked harshly, wind flying around me."Oh, we forgot introductions. This is Tooth AKA the tooth fairy, North AKA Santa Claus, Sandy AKA Sandman, and the kangaroo is Bunnymund AKA the Easter Bunny . You? Oh, and North told me to shove you in a bag. Sorry." The boy with white hair said. "The Guardians, huh? My name is Hiccup. In addition, it is OK. I've had people who were on orders to kill me and didn't like it." I said, smiling. "Wait. People have been ordered to kill you?" Asked Jokul Frosti, his eyes wide. "That's horrible!" Said Tooth."You did not answer my question, Jokul Frosti. Why did you bring me here? Speaking of which, where is here?" I asked. "Why, you are at North Pole! You are going to be Guardian!" Boomed North. "The North Pole? Wow." I said and looked around. I saw yetis working on toys and little elves walking around with platters of pastries- cookies, I think. "Whoa, whoa, wait. A Guardian? Are you sure? Why do you want me to be a Guardian, exactly? I'm not particularly powerful, and I-" I started. Jokul Frosti interrupted. "We're fighting against Pitch Black. By the look of anger, I'd say you've heard of him. You know, you sound a lot like I did before I became a Guardian. The difference, I didn't put myself down like you did." Said Jokul. "Hiccup. You can be a Guardian regardless of how powerful you are." Sandy made a figure out of dream sand. It looked like a book. "Sandy's right. Music!" Yelled North. Elves came out with trumpets and blew into them. I covered my ears, the music being loud. Suddenly the elves fell asleep. Oops. Jack Frost raised his eyebrow. "Sorry. Fatigue Manipulation. I will just…"
I flicked my wrist and the elves shook, waking up. "It comes and goes. I'm not very good at controlling it." I said. "Exactly why you need training. You don't want to make one of your teammates fall asleep." Said Bunny. Suddenly, I heard dark laughing. "Do you guys hear that?" I asked. There stared at me like I was crazy-of course they didn't hear the laughter. Ever since I woke up in that forest, one of the abilities I had found out a new ability-I could hear things most people couldn't hear, see farther than regular mortals, I was fast, too. The Moon called it Predator Instinct, a part of my ability to control Autumn. I looked around, trying to see where the laughter had come from. Of course, the laughter could have been 5 mile from here. "You shouldn't look around like that; those Guardians will think you've gone mad." Said a silky smooth male voice. It was the type of voice that reminded me of a hypnotist-someone who could convince you of anything. "You must be Pitch. Any specific reason you're here?" I muttered, so the Guardians couldn't hear me. "I have an offer for you. You and the other Seasons. I await your answer, Hiccup." The voice said. "Hey, are you OK, Dragon Boy?" I heard Jack ask. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm OK." I said. "If you're OK, why'd you say 'You must be Pitch. Any specific reason for coming here'?" Asked Bunny. I mentally kicked myself. Of course he heard that, he's a giant rabbit! That didn't explain how he didn't hear Pitch's voice, though. "How did you hear my voice, but not Pitch's?" I asked. "I don't know, mate. Magic, maybe? He could have a witch helpin' 'im." Said Bunny.
"What did he say?" Asked Jack with steel in his voice. He clearly despised Pitch. "Nothing." I said. "What was tha' noise? And who 'it me on the head?" Asked a loud voice with a thick Scottish accent. I winced. I sometimes hate my Predator Instinct. Out of the room that Tooth put the girls in, was a beautiful girl with wild red hair and cyan blue eyes. I backed away-She was made of red-orange fire. She reminded me of one of those superheroes of the stories in modern times-the Human Torch, I believe. Bunny hid behind North. Jack backed away, sweating already from being close to the girl. "I-I've seen you before, I know it." Said the girl, looking at me. "Merida, wait up!" Said a girl's voice. When she came out, all I could focus on was the hair. The girl's hair was at least 70 feet long and was dragging on the floor. The blonde girl kept on tripping over it. "Good, you're awake! Time for training." Said North. "I don't think so, old man." Said a female voice. The blonde's green eyes widened, as if she knew the voice but couldn't remember where she heard it. A green fireball hit the ground in front of Jack. I tried to make the wind move the fireball heading towards the blonde girl. For some reason, the fireball seemed resistant to any elemental control. Suddenly, horses made of black sand, Terrible Terrors, Smothering Smokebreaths, and other creatures surrounded us. "Time to go." Said North. He threw a snow globe in the air and it made a portal. Bunny made a hole in the ground and jumped through. The blonde jumped through the hole, as did the red-head. Jack, the other Guardians, and I jumped through the portal. I heard the voice from earlier say "Meet me at the Kangaroo's Warren, Autumn." Once we went through the portal, all I could see was darkness.
