I can`t believe I`m going to be a father! Like come on, I`m going to be an awesome dad. I`ll be the one sneaking them candy before dinner. Shh, don`t tell Lily... I decided to stop phrasing so I could be there to help Lily and the baby, (who I think is a girl). I heard it from Sam that it was going to be extremely hard. That you start to lose your temper much more often and would have trouble calming down. But, I wasn`t worried about it since I am the one in the pack that has the most control. I was soon snapped out of my thoughts by Lily`s voice.
"How do you think they`ll react?" Lily asked shyly as she sunk down in the passenger seat. I took a glance off the road to look at her. I smiled as I placed one hand on top of hers to soothe her.
"They`ll love it. I promise." She gave me a small smile. It`s rare to see her in this state. Shy and scared. I pulled into Sam and Emily`s driveway and parked the car. She took off her seat belt, but I made no effort to move. I just sat there and stared at her. She finally noticed my lack of movement and looks at me.
"What?" Lily asked with a raised eyebrow.
I cupped her face and brought my lips to hers. I pulled away and stared her in the eyes, "I love you,"
"I love you too."
"Great. You shouldn`t be nervous. It`s okay." I kissed her forehead.
She breathed in, "You`re right." She put on a determined face. "Let`s do this shit." I laughed.
"That`s my Lily." We got out of the car and walked into the friendly house without knocking. Haha, what`s knocking?
"Family!" Lily screamed throughout the whole house. I had a huge grin on my face like an idiot. We walked into the living room where everyone was: the pack, their imprints and both of our mothers.
"So, what was so important that you had to call a meeting?" Blair asked obviously annoyed. I scoffed. She and Brady were probably making out somewhere where Sam couldn`t find them.
"Yeah?" Brady concluded my theory. I rolled my eyes at them.
"Don`t get mad because we cut in on your make out time." Lily placed her hands on her hips. Hell, even she knew it. They blushed and looked down as Sam glared at them.
"So?" Quil said with Claire on his lap. I glanced at Leah who had a knowing look that clouded her eyes. I raised my eyebrow at her. She only played innocent before examine the room avoiding my glaze.
Weirdo.
Unless she knows...
I turned to Lily who was observing everyone in the room. I held her hand as she snapped out of it.
"Well, the thing is..." I started as they leaned forward dying to know. "We ran out of food."
They groan...well, except Embry who got down on his knees looking at the ceiling, "WHHHHYYYYY?!" I chuckled as Lily smacked the back of my head and Olivia doing the same to Embry.
"Idiots. " They muttered.
"Is that really why you called us all here?" Jared asked starting to get irritated.
"No," Lily stared icily at me. Holy shit, the hormones are already raging! And it`s only been a week! Everyone pray for me. I gave her a sympathetic smile as I rubbed the back of my neck.
"Whipped." Paul coughed. I stuck my tongue out at him and snapped my fingers.
"Rachael," I called.
"On it." She smacked him in the head.
"Ow." Faker! It didn`t even hurt. "What was that for?"
She shrugged as she turned to me to explain, "Well, if I hit you, you`d kill me. But, if she did it, you`d just let it happen." I explained as if I`m talking to a small child. He growled at me. "Rachael!"
Smack.
"Ow!"
"Suck it up."
"So, you didn`t run out of food?" Embry asked as he got off his knees and back onto the couch.
"No, you idiot." I shook my head.
"Guys..." A soft voice says.
"I have places to be..." Quil sang.
"Places? You don`t have a life." Leah smirked at him.
"Uh, yeah I do! Me and Claire have a tea party to attend to!"
"Claire and I." Maddie corrected.
"What?" Quil asked confused.
"Claire and I have a tea party to attend to." She rolled her eyes, "Please don`t tell me you`ve been speaking like that with Claire around?"
"...No..."
"Guys..." The voice says a little louder.
"I`m hungry." Embry randomly says.
"You`re always hungry." Kim shakes her head.
"...True..."
"Not a shocker there," Collin stated. From the corner of my eyes, I see Lily`s face get red from anger. Damn, I seriously think she was going to snap someone`s neck. I wanted to get away, but she was holding my hand. I mentally prepared myself for her crazed pregnancy hormones to blow up in everyone's face. She was getting impatient quick and fast.
"Uh-" I started only to get cut off.
"For the love of-I`m pregnant!"
"Way to let us both say it together, darling," I said full with sarcasm. She gave me a dirty look.
Oh, God! The hormones. The hormones!
I stared at everyone's reactions. They looked shocked as it settled in their heads.
"Really?" Charlotte, Lily`s mother asked with a glimpse of hope in her eyes. Lily calmed down before looking at her mother.
"Uh, yeah." She blushed.
I caught my mum`s stern eyes, "Seth, you knocked this girl up?" She asked pointing to Lil.
I looked down at my shoes, "Yes, mommy."
I don`t know why I expected a wooden spoon coming down on my head, but it never came. I looked up to see them grinning ear from the ear and kept watch of Lily`s stomach.
"We`re going to be grandparents." They say excitedly. The room erupted with cheers and congratulations. Suddenly, I was in a headlock.
"Congrats, little Sethy." Jared ruffled my hair. He let me go as I grinned at him.
"We can go shopping!" Emily squealing causing Lil to flinch. I chuckled at her.
"Why are you flinching?" I asked.
She calmed down, "Sorry. Every time I hear the word 'shopping' I always imagine Alice kidnapping me again." I laughed her until I felt someone tug on my pants. I looked down to see Shawn, Sam and Emily`s three-year-old son.
"Seth, what do pregment mean?" I chuckled at his pronouncement.
"Pregnant." I corrected, "Lily is having a baby."
His eyes widen in curiosity, "How?"
"Well, there`s a baby in her stomach-"
"She ate a baby?!" The room snickered.
"No." I bent down on one knee to try and match his height. "You see, there are ninjas who made Lil eat a special pill so the baby gets inside. As time goes by, the baby starts to grow and so does Lily`s belly. Then in nine months, which is a thousand days in children languish, out pops a little ninja." I watched as every word I said, his eyes stared in awe.
He looked at me for a while longer before giving me a toothy smile, "Mom! Dad! I`m a ninja!" He ran off to his parents. "
Oh, how I messed up their lives with that little lie.
I stood up again as the room started laughing and Sam sending me glares. I saw Lily place her hands on her hips with an amusing smirk.
"You gave a lie worth a paragraph." She said lazily.
I gasped and placed my hand over my heart. "I know. I didn`t even put that much effort into homework." She giggled as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"So, how are you going to deal with the hormones?" I stared at Paul in complete and utter confusion.
"Dude, I don`t know, but I think they already started. "
Smack!
"Ouch!" I whined.
