Author's Note: Sorry for the chapter being over-due.
Music I listened to while typing this: 'Swing Swing Swing' by John Williams, Swing and Electro Collection No. 2 (I found it on YouTube. 'Wiremux' was the user's name, I believe.)
I'm going to see Captain America today! Does anybody know how good of a movie it was? I heard that there were two end credits scenes, one with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in it. On to the story!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters. Each belongs to their own company.
Pitch's Pov.
I walked into my Chamber, looking at the sleeping form of my almost-Prince of Darkness. I touched his forehead with my index finger teleported into his mind. The mind is a strange place, I shall tell you that. Depending on which mind one entered, it could be in the shape of a castle, a maze, any building really. The shape showed how others thought of them, how they thought of themselves. If the person were rich and self-absorbed, the mind would be shaped like a castle. This mind was shaped like a labyrinth, showing Autumn's love for confusing his enemies and his intelligence. "Let's see, where do you keep your memories…" I muttered to myself. I walked into a dead end in the labyrinth. On the wall was a screen of memories-Hiccup waking up in a forest, Hiccup with that dragon, the boy and dragon being walked through. I almost felt sorry for the boy-almost. I touched a certain memory-when Hiccup first met the Guardians. Once I touched it, nightmare sand enveloped it and changed the memory to me saving Hiccup from the Guardians. I changed as many memories as were needed. When I was satisfied, I turned into a shadow and exited Hiccup's mind. The boy groaned. I teleported to the shadows.
Hiccup's Pov
I groaned. Where was I? Then I remembered-fighting the Guardians, being weakened by them, making my way back here, Master making me rest. I saw chains on my arms and legs and wondered for a moment how I was able to rest with chains on. "Mmmm, I see you had me locked up, Master." I said and chuckled. I looked in the shadows, making out the shape of Pitch. "Master, what happened while I was unconscious?" I asked a funny feeling at the back of my mind, a feeling that I should not be calling Pitch 'Master'. "Oh, nothing much." Said Pitch. For whatever reason, my right arm was frozen. "Now, would you mind telling me how you got into such trouble with the Guardians?" Asked Pitch. My throat felt dry.
"I thought that I would gain new information about the Guardians for you. I watched them for half an hour. Then, one of them saw me. It was Rapunzel, I think." I said. "She pointed me out to the others. I tried to get out of my hiding place to either face them or retreat if I was too weakened, when my prosthetic was caught by a branch. I remember that Merida threw a fireball at the patch of leaves where I was. It barely missed me. I tried to get rid of the branch, but I couldn't. Once I had gotten my leg free, the Guardians had surrounded me. I fought them, dancing around their attacks. I didn't manage to harm them, however. Once I was weakened, the Winter nymph shot ice at me. I turned into leaves and flew away. Frost managed to freeze my right arm, though." I said.
"Hmmmm. What did you learn about them?" Asked Pitch. "Well, I made a plan. We should use the Nightmares and Fearlings to lure each of the Seasons to different places. Then, once the Seasons are gone, we can terrorize the mortals, thereby weakening the Guardians. Since they won't have the Seasons to help them, they will die out. Then we attack, and, once they disappear, we can take over with another Dark Age." I said, hoping I made Master proud. "Good work, Hiccup. Nice plan, too. We should get the Seasons in their dreams. It will be easier. I will make a barrier while we work so that idiot Sanderson does not interfere." Said Pitch, smiling wickedly. I gave an identical grin. "Before we do that, however, you need a little training." Said Pitch.
Now, one would think that training with Master Pitch would be tedious. However, it is actually quite fun. Pitch throws sports balls made of nightmare sand at you, and you have to defend yourself with whatever is available. This time, Pitch made a baseball bat and a baseball out of nightmare sand and hit it. The baseball was flying towards me quickly, steaming. I held out my hand, making the wind swirl around it. I threw a dark gold leaf at it as if it were a shuriken. The baseball dissolved. I heard Pitch say "Good work, Hiccup! However, you need to use your fighting abilities more. If you could not use your powers, you would be helpless." I nodded and took a dagger out of my belt. It was a black dirk dagger with a Celtic design on the hilt, about 3 inches. If one looked close enough, one could see flecks of nightmare sand in the dagger, made to be able to kill both spirit and mortal. I heard a noise behind me with my Predator Instinct. Something was walking lightly behind me, ready to pounce. The Nightmare Wolf was fast, but I was faster. I stabbed the dagger behind me, and the Wolf whimpered and disintegrated.
I heard Pitch laughing. "I think you are ready. They should be asleep by now." Said Pitch. I went over to Pitch. He made a globe out of nightmare sand. In the globe, it showed Merida, the Summer Spirit, as she went to bed. I smiled. Perfect. "I get the Summer spirit, you get the Spring sprite." Said Pitch. I nodded and looked around for Toothless, my dragon. "Hey, buddy! How've you been?" I asked. Again, I felt a tingle at the back of my head- A part of me was wondering 'Why did I say 'How've you been' unless I haven't seen him for a while? If I haven't seen him for a while, where has he been?'. I cleared my mind of the thought. "Let's go. You remember how to invade a person's dream?" Asked Pitch. "Of course I do, Master. Meet back here once we're done?" I asked. "Yes." Said Master. He seemed preoccupied with something he was thinking about, so I turned jumped on Toothless and we flew through a wall. The wall turned into Nightmare Sand as we went through. I whooped with excitement when we were in the air. "Let's see how fast you can go, bud." I said. Toothless apparently took that as a challenge to his speed and flew towards North's Workshop. I heard a boom in my ears which I realized was a sonic boom. In moments we were at our destination. I jumped off Toothless. He whined. "Bud, you can't follow me. Someone might see you." I said. You know they won't. Said Toothless. When I was alive I could speak Dragonese, the language of the Dragons. Now, it seemed to have escalated to the point that I could hear Toothless's voice in my head. "Fine." I sighed. As we sneaked around, I could've sworn I heard spy music. Stupid modern-day spy movies.
I went into a room with flowers and vines surrounding it. I turned into leaves and flew under the door. Toothless turned into leaves also. I was amazed at the vastness of the room. It seemed like a valley, with flowers and vines all around us. The vines tried to surround me and Toothless, probably knowing we didn't belong in the girl's room. I dodged the vines and quickly spotted Rapunzel, sleeping in a meadow-bed of flowers. The flowers, I guess, served as a blanket and pillow. There was a sparkling lake near me, winding through the room that seemed to defy the laws of space, the room being bigger on the inside than on the outside. 'Just like a certain alien's ship', I thought, remembering the time I met a very odd alien in a blue box with funny-looking clothing and hair. That's a story for another time, though. I turned into Nightmare Sand, something I only do when entering someone's dreams, and smiled as I found myself in a tower. Rapunzel was in there with a young man I recognized but couldn't place. The man looked like he was dying. Rapunzel was trying to save him. I smiled. How sweet. I heard Toothless say sarcastically. Disgustingly so. I said in Toothless's mind. I smiled, gathered a little Nightmare Sand in my hand, and blew it at the young man. He died. Rapunzel sang a song that I knew to be the one she used to heal. She then started crying. I smiled sadistically and laughed at the girl's sadness.
"W-Who's there?" Asked Rapunzel, wiping away her tears and getting a frying pan out of nowhere. "How sweet is that? You're trying to protect a man who's already dead." I said. "H-Hiccup?" Asked Rapunzel. I walked out of the shadows and gave a mock bow. Toothless walked out with me and bowed his head to the girl. "The one and only, milady." I said. "What happened to you? Your skin-it looks like Pitch's." Said Rapunzel. "What do you mean, what happened to me? You saw me, you pointed me out to the Guardians. I was in pain when I went back to Master Pitch. All because you wouldn't let me go unnoticed." I said. "Hiccup, you're not yourself. Pitch did something to you. Please, come back with us. Tooth can restore your memories. Don't give-" Started Rapunzel. "What? 'Don't give in to Pitch'? were you about to say? Or maybe it was 'Don't give in to the darkness'? Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, Princess, but I always was dark. I was never in your side. If you think I was, you're delusional. I don't know what you're talking about. Restore my memories? In case you didn't notice, I have all my memories intact." I said. "Oh, this is worse than I thought. I have to tell Bunny and Jack and-" Said Rapunzel. I stopped her by nodding my head slightly. Toothless breathed purple flames at the girl, purposefully missing her by two inches.
"Ahh!" Shouted Rapunzel. I smiled maliciously at the girl. "You did not think that I came to the North Pole where I risk the possibility of becoming captured by those morons, invaded your dream, and did not want something? Also, you will not be telling them anything." I threw a leaf at her. It landed next to her. I made a small breeze move the smell from the leaf upwards. Her eyes rolled in the back of her head and she fell asleep-hopefully for an hour or two. I smiled and went to pick up the girl. I picked her up and walked to Toothless. I turned into Nightmare Sand, as did Toothless, and we found ourselves back in the meadow with Rapunzel in my arms. Come on, bud. Let's get out of here before those idiots figure out what happened, which I doubt will happen until late morning at the earliest. I said to Toothless. He nodded and we turned into Nightmare Sand once again as we went through the walls. Toothless flew at his top speed to Master's Lair. Toothless landed next to the entrance. "Let's go. Woohoo!" I said as I slid down the tunnel. I had a feeling of déjà vu. I shook it off and landed on my feet. I went to the cage room, which I knew Pitch would be in. "Ah, there you are." Said Master Pitch. "Sorry I took so long. I was having too much fun tormenting, I guess." I said as I placed the blonde girl in a cage. I saw Merida in a cage opposite her. "I'm tired. Good night, Master." I said and left to my chamber.
Now, normally Spirits don't get tired. However, they can become tired if they used too much energy. I rarely use Nightmare Sand & am not used to the expenditure of a lot of energy, therefore making me tired. I walked into my Chamber, Toothless following me. His yellow eyes seemed to glow in the darkness. I walked to my bed and fell on top of it, wondering what Master Pitch would do with the Seasons tomorrow as I fell asleep.
