Disclaimer: Alright guys this is it. I really enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoyed reading. I want to thank everyone who did read and a special shoutout to TayTay, without your undying support I probably would have given up a while back.

1 year later

"Are you fucking serious?!" Matt yelled at the young brunette. See now this is why Punk had offered to tell Matt what Jeff was planning on doing. Jeff didn't like it when Matt yelled at him and Punk knew yelling would be involved.

"Yes I'm serious. Matt he's wearing himself out and if he doesn't take some time off he's gonna burn out completely. Look you know as well as I do that his in ring performance has been mediocre at best. Just support him Matt." The older Hardy sighed as he sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands.

"Is he using again?" At that question Punk sat down beside the man that had quickly become his friend in the past year. Punk knew that in the past Jeff had problems with certain prescription drugs and even a slight alcohol problem. He had let that slide though because Jeff swore it was in the past and he would never again 'be that stupid'. But Phil didn't have an answer for Matt, at least not a truthful one because frankly he didn't know. Jeff had become very reclusive in the past few weeks and Punk didn't know if it was just because he was tired and worn out or if it was drugs again.

"I don't know Matt. I don't fucking know and it's killing me. I check the entire house the other day so if he has anything he's hiding it very well or maybe he isn't using at all. I don't just want to accuse him, I mean you know how he gets."

"Why don't you just ask me?" Both men's head shot straight up when they heard Jeff's voice. They hadn't even heard him come in Matt's house much less the room.

"Baby, I.." Punk started but Jeff cut him off.

"No. If you would have just asked me I would have told you no, I'm not on drugs. Occasionally I take an Oxy but Amy has my prescription. If I'm in pain I ask her, she regulates it for me." He didn't sound angry or upset. In fact he was calm about the whole situation and Punk immediately felt bad for talking behind his back. Jeff was right, he should have just asked him. Punk stood up and put his arms around Jeff's waist pulling the older male into him.

"I'm sorry." It was the only thing Punk could think of to say. There were no excuse that could make up for his wrong so he didn't even try.

"It's okay." Jeff smiled before kissing him.

"I actually came over to see if Matty was strangling you yet. Are you mad that I'm leaving?" the question was directed to the older brother so Punk just moved out of the way and let the two have their conversation. At least that was the plan but Jeff held onto his hand as he tried to leave and they ended up sitting on the couch, Jeff in Punk's lap.

"Are you mad Matty?" Punk knew that Jeff disliked making his brother disappointed. It was one reason Jeff tried so hard to stay away from things that he knew would hurt his older brother. Matt didn't say anything for a few seconds and Punk could feel the tensions building in Jeff.

"No Jeff. I'm not mad. I just wish you would have told me instead of sending your boyfriend over here to do it for you. I only want what's best for you, jeffro." Those silly little nicknames they had for each other. Punk silently shook his head remembering the one time he had called Jeff, Jeffro. If looks could kill, Jeff would have burned a hole through Punk's body. He had then went on to say that only Matt could call him that and if he ever tried again Jeff would cut off his balls and feed them to him. Needless to say it was the first and last time he had ever said it. He never realized that it was their special thing until then and Punk would never ruin that bond.

"How long are you gonna be gone though?" This was a question that even Punk wanted the answer to. He looked at Jeff's face as he seemed to be contemplating it, eventually he just shrugged and said he didn't know. Matt only nodded without saying anything else. After that whole ordeal Matt had invited them to stay for dinner, apparently Amy had made something, and Punk sure as hell wasn't going to pass up her cooking. She was no master chef but hey it wasn't like he could do any better.

It was almost 11 o clock before Jeff and Phil had left Matt's house. After dinner their dad had come over with his guitar and they all sat around singing and laughing and telling stories from the brother's past. This is what Jeff missed the most, this is why he wanted to take a break. Being able to spend the entire day with the people he loved the most surrounding him. Sure Matt would still be gone a lot but when he was actually home Jeff would be too and they could spend that time together. Right now Jeff was lying in bed watching television when Punk came out of the shower, only a towel wrapped around his waist.

"We should get a dog." Jeff told him, not even taking his eyes off the TV show he was watching. When Punk didn't answer though he looked over at him. His boyfriend was just standing there confusion washing over his face.

"A dog?"

"Yes, a dog. You know cute, cuddly thing." He got to his knees and was at the edge of the bed motioning for Punk who automatically stood between the open arms.

" I don't know Jeff, dogs and I don't really get along that well." Jeff pouted and kissed Punk softly on the lips.

"Please?" He asked his lips making their way to his neck then collarbone the bare chest. He looked up at Punk his emerald green eyes wide with innocence as he shed his boyfriend's towel and palmed his cock. Oh he definitely knew how to get the answer he wanted from his man. He started to stroke the thick length in his hand, eliciting a 'fuck' from his boyfriend's lips.

"Is that a yes, Philly?" He asked as he gently squeezed the head, milking the pre cum that had already started to form in the slit. Punk didn't answer so Jeff decided to take it up a notch. He took Phil's dick if into his warm mouth and started sucking as hard as he could. This went on until he knew Punk was close to his breaking point. Then all of a sudden he stopped, pretended to yawn then crawled up on the bed, acting like he was going to sleep. He heard his lover practically growl before he felt the bed move and he was forced to face Punk.

"Forget about the dog right now, your mine." He pulled Jeff's shorts he had on off in one swift motion happy to find that it was all he was wearing. When Jeff went to touch him, Punk pulled his arms over his head and held him by his wrists with one hand while the other went to Jeff's own member. As soon as he started to stroke it Jeff moved his hips along with it, a whine tearing from his throat. Jeff could barely handle it anymore and he made no attempt to hide how badly he wanted Punk inside of him. Eventually his boyfriend stopped teasing and pushed inside Jeff's tight hole, no lube or prep but Jeff didn't even care. He gasped when Punk started moving in and out of him, his thrust holding nothing back. Jeff's knees were brought up to his chest allowing Punk to slide in deeper if that was even possible. It didn't take long for Phil to find his sweet spot and when he did Jeff moaned as loud as he could. It was almost too much for him. After all it had been weeks since he and Punk had last been intimate. Jeff's legs were freed and immediately he wrapped them around Punk's lean waist. He never wanted Phil to stop. His lover brought his hand into play again, stroking his hardness in time with his thrusts. Before long he could feel the familiar tingle in the pit of his stomach and his release hit him hard. Punk's own orgasm came moments later filling Jeff. When Punk pulled out Jeff whined a bit but was satisfied when he was pulled into his lovers arms. Snuggling up to him he smiled.

"So about that dog…." He heard Punk laugh and kiss his forehead.

"You're going to get it anyway. Probably already have. Am I right?"

"Ah, me? Now would I do something like that?" He gasped as if he was shocked at the accusation before he bit his lips and nodded.

"Well kinda. I went to the shelter yesterday and there was this Jack Russell that just had puppies and I kinda sorta already filled out the paper work and everything. They turn 7 weeks tomorrow and I picked out one of the boys." He had actually picked the runt of the litter, he had a soft spot for underdogs.

"Okay well it's not like I can tell you no. You're a grown man if you want a dog get one. I just used your need of approval to my advantage." Jeff rolled his eyes and laughed.

"And here I thought I used you." Yawning, Jeff snuffled in closer to his lover and started to fall asleep.

Punk was the first one up the next morning thanks to the phone ringing off the hook. When he answered it the first thing he heard was a bunch of barking coming from the other end. They told him that the pup Jeff had picked out just had all of its shots and was ready to go to its new home. He told them that they would be down later this morning before hanging up. When he went back to the bedroom he saw Jeff starting to wake up.

"Who was that?" he asked, his voice still filled with sleep as he stretched.

"It was the shelter, the dog is ready whenever you are."

"Jack's ready?" His eyes shown with happiness as he quickly got out of bed and started to just throw clothes on. Phil watched in wonder as the man he loved got so excited over a dog.

"Well what are you waiting on? Get dressed we have to go pick him up." Jeff exclaimed throwing jeans at him.

"Did you just call him Jack?" He asked while putting on the jeans when he received a look of annoyance from his boyfriend. Blush crept up on Jeff's cheeks as he turned to fully face Punk.

"Um… yes? Why you don't like it?" It wasn't that Punk didn't like it, hell it was his middle name he just wondered what made Jeff name the dog that. As if he knew what Punk was thinking Jeff took a deep breath and answered the silent question.

"I figured, since we can't technically have kids that maybe this dog can be our baby. And I like your middle name so…" he left it midsentence and Punk raised an eyebrow. He wanted to pass on the legacy of his name through a dog? He was going to say that they could always adopt a child but Phil wasn't sure if he was ready for that, or if he would ever be ready or if Jeff even wanted that so instead of getting his hopes up he just kept quiet. Shrugging into a shirt he motioned towards the door.

"Well let's go get our baby then." Jeff practically squealed in delight as he led them to the car. The drive to the shelter was a short one actually a drive to any place in this town was a short one, nothing like Chicago. In fact he was actually starting to miss Chicago but he would never let Jeff know that. It would break his heart. When they got out of the car Jeff ran to the door acting like a child, Punk just laughed though. If it made Jeff happy then he was happy. He came in the door shortly after and was greeted with a sloppy kiss as Jeff held up the dog to his face.

"Isn't he adorable?" Jeff asked, a giant smile on his face. After wiping a hand across his face to rid himself of the slobber he looked at the dog with the wagging tail and open mouth and smirked. He was kinda cute. Tousling his ears a bit he chuckled when the dog leaned into his touch. Jeff handed Jack over to him as he filled out the necessary paper work. Once that was finished they went to the pet store to grab some things that Jack would need like food, a bed and about a million and two toys. When Punk had complained Jeff said it was all necessary because they wouldn't know which toys Jack would like or dislike. This was a lot of trouble for one little dog. Sighing he let it go knowing that he would never win this argument anyway. Jeff had finally decided that they had enough, for now, and they went to check out then head back home. As soon as they walked through the door the phone rang. Punk was taking some of the things to the kitchen when he heard Jeff calling for him. He put the bag of dog food on the table along with the few bags he had been carrying and went to the phone.

"Yeah?" He said into the receiver.

"That's all I get?" A familiar voice asked sarcastically from the other end.

"Colt, hey man how's it going?" He hadn't heard from his friend in a while and was happy to hear his voice.

"Oh you know same old boring shit. It's lousy here without you. When you gonna come see me, again? You were gonna bring Jeff here and pro-"

"Dude shut up!" Punk huffed into the receiver, while he trusted Jeff he didn't put it past him to listen in on the other end.

"A couple of days but I haven't exactly told him yet. I was going to last night but it uh, slipped my mind."

"Oh yeah probably when you slipped into Jeff." He friend teased but that didn't want to make Punk punch him any less.

"Look I'll see you soon alright?"

"Yeah alright see ya soon." With that they hung up and Jeff was leaning against the archway into the living room holding little Jack when Punk turned around. How long had he been there?

"So how's Colt?" He asked setting the little Jack Russell down to roam free.

"Just called to say hi, and he misses us. Actually I wanna talk to you about something. What do you think of taking a trip up to Chicago?" Technically it didn't matter what he thought because the tickets were already purchased. He had gotten them anout a week ago, purchased on Matt's credit card though because he wanted to surprise Jeff with the trip. The older male seemed to consider it for all of two seconds before shrugging.

"Sure. I haven't been to Chicago just for a vacation in, well ever. I always have to work when I go. It'll be fun." Oh thank god Matt had kept that a secret. Usually Punk would never tell the older Hardy anything he wanted to keep from Jeff even for a surprise because Matt had a hard time keeping it to himself. Freaking blabber mouth.

"Of course we're going to have to see if Matt can watch Jack, unless we take him with us." Oh my god it was really like having a child already.

"Well I already bought the tickets but I'm pretty sure if you want we can figure something out about Jack." Planes allowed dogs right? More importantly the hotel he booked better allow dogs. Not that it really mattered to him but Colt's parents had been insistent on getting him and Jeff this room at the Sheraton. They had wanted to get them in at The Peninsula but there was no way Punk was letting them spend thousands of dollars a night on one room. He'll he thought it was crazy for them to spend a thousand some-odd dollars on the three nights they were gonna be there, at least that's what he had added up. They wouldn't tell him the exact price, telling him not to worry about it. While he had been in thought, apparently deep thought since he hadn't felt Jeff's arms around him until he looked down, Jeff had been talking.

"I'm sorry, do what?" He asked receiving yet another annoyed look from his partner.

"I asked how long you had been planning this." The annoyance left his face as he waited for an answer.

"Couple of months." Came Punk's simple reply. Jeff, however, seemed a bit taken aback. Like he couldn't believe he had actually been able to keep it a secret.

"A couple of months? Well I don't want to ruin all your planning so I suppose we can leave Jack behind, just this once. I'll go call Matt and ask." Jeff kissed Punk softly before going to get the phone. He heard parts of the conversation, well Jeff's side at least and laughed when Jeff had told his brother not to be an ass. The older male came back into the living room and sat down beside Punk on the couch who was now watching some made for TV movie on the Sci-Fi channel. Jeff had leaned into him, propping his feet up on the coffee table and immediately Jack was in his lap. The terrier made his way across Jeff's lap to get to Punk who only ruffled his head before it laid down. Jeff only looked at him, amusement across his face before turning his attention to the movie.

This was insane. Jeff was standing in the entry way of their room. Punk had told him on the plane that they just had a regular old room. However when they got there the desk clerk had told them that they had been upgraded as requested by the person who booked the room so now he was in a room the size of, well practically his whole trailer. It had views of the Chicago River with its calm blue green waters along with sights of the bustling city below them. It was beautiful.

"I'm gonna kill them." he heard Punk whisper as he shut the door. And while he had no idea who he was talking about he didn't really care because this was all too crazy. He had never in his life been in a room like this. After his shock wore off the first thing he did was give his boyfriend a kiss.

"This is… wow." It was all he could come up with.

"Yeah well you can thank Colt's parents at dinner tomorrow night." So that's who he was going to kill. Rolling his eyes he just kissed Punk again and asked what was on the agenda for tonight. All he got was that it was a surprise. Crinkling his nose he stuck out his tongue and went to sit on the couch that accompanied the room.

"Oh no you're not sitting down. We have things to do, baby." Groaning Jeff got up.

"But I'm tired and it's late." The plane had landed at Chicago O'Hare around 8 and it had took them almost an hour just to get to the hotel because of the traffic. So the last thing he wanted to do was have to get dressed and leave the room.

"I promise it'll be worth it."

"You're just too damn cute to say no to. Give me about 15 minutes." Jeff agreed but only because he wanted to see what this surprise was.

"Only 15?" Punk exaggerated gasp of surprise made Jeff roll his eyes again before going to the bedroom where the bell hop had taken their suitcases and shut the door. He really didn't know what to wear and as he searched through his suitcase found that it wouldn't even matter with the wardrobe he had brought with him which mostly consisted of jeans and t-shirts, wrestling and bands combined. Sighing he opted on his Dead Kennedys shirt from their show he snuck out of the house when he was 17 to go see. He didn't even care what jeans he wore so he just grabbed a clean pair and put them on. It hadn't escaped his notice that Punk didn't say anything about getting ready and all he was wearing was Painters shirt that was actually Jeff's and cargo shorts. So he supposed they weren't going anywhere too fancy. Opening the bedroom door he saw Phil hang up the phone and as much as he wanted to ask who it was he figured it had to do something with the surprise and he'd never get an answer anyway.

"You good?" His lover asked once he noticed he had returned to the main room. Jeff nodded and was escorted out the door. When they got downstairs a taxi was already waiting for them and had magically already known where it was Punk had wanted to take him. Well he had his answer about the phone call at least. The ride there was nothing but normal but when he noticed where they were he smiled. The Navy Pier, where they had their first real date. The memories of that night flashed in his head and his smile grew. That night also lead to other firsts for the couple. However unlike the first time here, they weren't alone. Families and other couple roamed the pier on the cool August night and Jeff watched as they went by. He didn't even notice that they had stopped until he was being ushered into the Ferris wheel's bucket. Punk was being extremely quiet and he was about to say something when his lover spoke first.

"Jeff you're...amazing and I'm so lucky to have someone like you to love me. When I first met you, there was just something about you that drew me to you. You're sexy as hell, smart, hilarious. You're a perfect ten and I realized the more I got to know you that I don't want anything else. For the rest of my life I just want you." He reached into his pocket and immediately Jeff knew what was going on. His breathing started to pick up and his eyes even started to water a bit. When the black velvet bod was opened o reveal a simple silver band with three small diamonds lying diagonally across it he let out an audible breath that he hadn't realized he was holding in until them.

"Jeffery Nero Hardy, would do me the honor if marrying me?" Jeff let the tears that had building up fall down his face as he nodded frantically and kissed Punk.

"Yes."

A/N: That's it. A nice romantic ending don't you think? Once again I want to thank everyone who supported me, especially TayTay who reviewed every chapter.
