Toru: I cant believe that bastard brought my sister into this. She's completely innocent.
Me: all the more reason to use her.
Hitomi: yeah she couldn't stay out of cross fire forever you know.
Toru: hurry up and do the disclaimer so I can save her!
Me: alright all ready. Remember I own nothing but my own characters.
Previously:
"Now shut off the cannon and I'll send you back home quick and painless." Toru said.
"Judgment has already been cast, there is no stopping it." Michael said holding his injured wing.
"Then cast a new judgment." She demanded
"Impossible. Beside even if it were you'd be too busy. Did you really think I wasn't watching, learning your weaknesses, I knew you'd be a resourceful mortal but didn't know you'd be this resourceful. So I had a trump card."
A scream was heard and Michael looked up with a smile and then so did Toru. Her eyes widened as to what she saw. It cant be.
"Karen?"
She saw her little sister being dangled in the air by 2 angels with their swords to her neck.
"So will you stop me or save her. Make your choice."
Chapter 35: Judgment Day (part 3): Make Your Choice
Chase continued his assault on the barrier weakening it further. He had to hurry his mates magic continued to change into…into…he didn't know what.
The angels had dropped Karen onto the jungle floor roughly. Michael had used his magic to point his magical light arrows at her. Karen was so terrified that she started to cry, how did this happen? She had just made her way to china to continue her search for her sister then the next thing she knew she was dragged off by what looked like angels. But that couldn't be true all the stories she's read angels were suppose to help people but here she was being abducted and used against her own sister.
"So will it be me or her?" Michael said with a malevolent smile
Toru looked at him with a scowl. "You know for an angel you're a real dick." Her IPod switched to Hero by Skillet how'd that end up in there?
Michael snapped his fingers and the arrows shot straight at Karen. Thankfully in the blink of an eye Toru got her out of the way in time and started to run into the jungle wanting to get her sister to safety.
As soon as the arrows missed their target they exploded and destroyed the surrounding area.
Toru ran off but the angels followed. She dropped her sister behind her and creating a pentagram grabbed 2 m16's from her armory and fired magic bullets at the angels mowing them down. She then throws her guns down and jumps at the rest. Toru punches one of them the resulting force causes his head to spin backward breaking it and kills the others using her fangs and claws. Keep in mind she hasn't removed her necklace this whole time but the power Toru was putting out was causeing a lot of strain on it making some of the power leak out.
Toru then tears a body in half using only one hand. She unsheathes her sword and traded blows with another angel until she saw some of them aiming their attacks on Karen. She separated her sword into sections and slashes her opponent in half and jumped in front of the attacks shielding her sister and taking on a lot of damage.
"Oh god, Toru!" Karen wept.
Even though Toru was badly injured and bleeding profusely all she did was give a sadistic smile.
"That's not enough to kill me you bastards" she growled. "Come on, come on, COME ON!" She twirled her whip-like sword killing the rest of the angels.
An angel escapes the slaughter and throws a spear at Karen. What was with these guys and aiming at someone who's not a fighter? Needless to say Toru shielded her again, the spear piercing through her left lung. She coughed up blood but did not falter.
"Stop it Toru. You'll die if you keep this up!" Karen pleaded.
"I cant help it, I don't want anything to happen to you." Toru said with a smile.
Tears began to come down Karen's face. "Please…I don't want you to die. I didn't search for 2 years just for you to throw your life away protecting me."
2 years? She's been searching for that long…for her. "I wouldn't be throwing my life away if I'm protecting my light."
More blood spurted from her wound causing Karen's eyes to widen in fear and shock causing her to pass out.
Hitomi and Raphael's weapons clashed. Hitomi jumped backwards and turned her metal claws into a kunai-whip chain and slashed at him. The Spartan angel blocked the attacks. He was admittedly impressed by her skill she was a decent fighter.
He chuckles, "You're quite skilled for a beast."
"I learned from the best!" Hitomi got the chain around his leg and tripped him. She then tried to stomp down on his head but he moved out of the way.
"Ah, clever." Raphael said sweeping his arm under tripping her.
"Whoa!"
"But not clever enough."
Raphael swung his ax down only to have it stopped by her saw blades. "I'm not done yet. Hiya!"
The two continued to match blow for blow.
"How long do you think you can keep up this farce? I'm bigger, stronger and more experienced than you. I've been in more battles longer than you've been alive. You don't have a chance."
Raphael swung his ax but Hitomi jumped over it. "So what if you're bigger and stronger than me," she kicks him in the face. "I got you on speed, agility, and flexibility. And I'm no slouch in hand-to-hand combat, if anyone doesn't have a chance it's you! Besides I'm the one with the animal instinct."
Hitomi managed to get the angel's ax away from him and out of some form of honor dropped her metal claws and charged at him head on.
She was good Raphael had to admit that she was matching his every move. Moves that only belonged to the Spartans-this was Orion's doing he knew it. How else could she keep up with a warrior of his caliber?
The 2 continue the assault on each other Raphael got in a good shot and punched Hitomi in the face but she replied by cutting into his arm with her sharp claws.
"Argh! Damned beast!" the angel grabbed her hair and head butted her, kneed her in the stomach and punched her in the face making her fall to the ground. He then grabbed her tail and threw her against a tree.
Hitomi struggled to get up but her body was barley responding. Raphael picked his ax off the ground and walked towards his injured a fallen opponent.
"A good fight, but I said you wouldn't last long." He lifted his massive over his head.
Hitomi turned away not wanting to see her fate coming, but as he swung down she felt nothing, no fear, no shame of failure, not her life flashing before her eyes, nothing. She couldn't tell whether that was a good thing or a bad thing until she looked up. A sword was blocking the attack.
"You!" Raphael growled.
Hitomi gasped, "Orion?"
"Enough, brother, I will not allow you to harm her." Orion declared. He pushed Raphael back.
"I don't believe it. Orion, my brother, I'm glad you came. The coward who ran in battle deserves nothing less than this;" he took a fighting stance. "I've waited for more than 1500 years to be your executioner!"
The 2 warrior's weapons clashed creating a stalemate. "I am no coward, brother; I simply serve a new master now. Even so I will not allow you to harm this innocent."
Raphael laughed. "'Innocent'? She fought as beasts do, she is no innocent. She'll die along with you and the rest of humanity!"
"Never!"
They fought fiercely, all their rage, all their rivalry, was being put out. Raphael hated his brother for abandoning him, for leaving him alone; a Spartan has few ties and when Orion disappeared his feeling of abandon was replaced with anger and misleading hate.
Hitomi looked on in amazement, she never saw Orion fight like this, anytime they spared they seemed even but that wasn't the case here. I a real fight she would lose against him, thankfully he was there protecting her.
Orion eventually got the upper hand and thrusted his sword through Raphael's chest, and laid his fallen opponent on the ground.
"I never wanted it to end this way, brother." Orion said sadly
Raphael looked at his brother with the light fading from his eyes. "This is far from over, I may have lost the battle but you lose much more. Once the cannon fires all of your souls shall burn, none of you shall know neither the joys of heaven nor the torchers of hell only oblivion. So never shall you see your darling Teresa again." His eyes closed.
Orion sighed in frustration.
Hitomi walked over to him. "Orion…are you ok?" she asked.
"I am fine my lady. Let us go find Lady Toru"
"No need." Toru walked out of the shadows carrying her unconscious sister. "Orion, good you're here, I'm glad, for more than one reason now." She looked at the fallen angel.
"Lady Toru, you're injured." He said looking at the spear sticking through there chest
"I'm fine, its just a flesh wound. Please Orion take my sister to the beach and keep her safe." Toru hands Karen over to Orion.
"Your sister?" Hitomi said quietly.
"Yes lady Toru." Orion took Karen out of the jungle.
Toru walked over to Hitomi. "We have to hurry; we've wasted enough time fighting these guys."
Hitomi looked at Toru's chest as the blood spurted out. "Spear."
"Yeah I know." Toru reached behind her and pulled out the spear. "ARGH!" the wound starts to close. "Well, that takes care of that."
"Isn't your lung collapsing? How are you not dying?" Hitomi asked.
"You mean besides the 2 dozen healing spells I placed on myself? Or the fact that I refuse to let these 'holy' bastards kill me." Aranea jumped down from the trees in front of her friends. "Oh good you're here too, saves me the trouble to of looking for you."
"We've managed to keep their forces back and cleared a path to the cannon but we need to move now, we wont be able to hold that position forever. So I hope you have a plan Toru." The spider queen said.
"Of course. But I need you to grab Kimiko."
Aranea ran off to wear the monks were and using her webbing grabbed the dragon of fire.
"Kimiko!" Raimundo shouted.
"What are you doing?! And why are you naked?!" Kimiko seriously wanted to know what was going on.
"Toru has a plan and she needs you for it."
They reached their rendezvous point with Hitomi waiting. Hitomi quickly explained the plan to Kimiko and Aranea.
Toru ran over to the rest of them. "Good, gangs all here now lets hurry."
Kimiko and Aranea jumped in to distant trees and creating a long string of webbing and tossed it to Kimiko and they both stretched it.
Toru then jumped onto the webbing and used her swords whip-like state to grab a tree and pull herself back. Hitomi then pulled back her arrow aiming at the cannon in the sky.
"Please tell me you can make this shot we don't need you missing." Toru said to Hitomi.
The clouded leopard scoffed. "Of course I can make it."
Hitomi releases her arrow and Toru release the tree shooting herself forward following the arrow that quickly disappears.
As Toru gets closer to the cannon she felt something snap inside of her. Suddenly her entire appearance changes; half her hair turns half white and she sprouted wings one black and one white. Golden armor went over her arms, torso, and legs. Not only that her sword changed as well into a scythe. She landed on the cannon and looked at her new appearance for a moment. She then planted her scythe into the cannon and ran up it tearing it apart.
Michael had pulled himself to the clearing and what he saw shocked him to say the least.
'Impossible. There shouldn't be any left. I knew this mortal was a special case but I never thought she'd end up being one of them-an emissary of death'
As she reached the end of the cannon she flew off as it exploded behind her. Toru then flew down towards the others.
"Whoa, Toru, lovin' the new look" Hitomi said.
"You're an angel?" Kimiko asked
"Honestly I don't know what I am." Toru said.
"I do. You're an emissary of death, although I didn't think any were left." Aranea said
"Mind explaining?" Toru asked
"Emissary's of death collected souls, some collected the evil ones while others the good but they would all end up being judged by death herself."
Hitomi tilted her head in confusion. "Death's a lady?"
"But I don't collect souls." Toru stated.
"On the contrary. You collected them without your knowledge. Haven't you ever wondered why you get a sudden urge to go on a killing spree?"
"Huh, now that I think about it, it is kind of strange."
"I always thought it was part of your charm." Hitomi said with a smile.
The girls walked back to the beach, Toru was no longer in her emissary form, and she guessed it didn't last long.
The other monks ran up to their friend. "Kimiko" the boys shouted.
Raimundo glared at Toru. "What did you do to her?!" he shouted
"Nothing, brat. She helped, that's all." Toru said annoyed. Seriously he's still giving her grief.
Spidernoid soldiers came onto the beach and bowed to their queen. "My queen, the rest of the invaders have left but much of the island was devastated."
"I don't think we'll have to worry about the island for a while." The spider queen said
"You're right you won't," every one turned to see Michael completely unharmed. "Because none of you are leaving here alive."
Hitomi's eyes widened. "Didn't you seriously injure this guy?"
"Last time I checked."
Orion stood in front of them with his sword at the ready. "Lady Toru, allow me to handle this, you and Lady Hitomi have taken on a lot of damage."
"No way Orion, the only reason I'd back down from a fight is if I'm dead." Toru let her aura flare
"Me too, I still have some fight left." Hitomi's aura flared as well.
"Its still my home and I won't have unwanted guests on it any longer." Aranea's aura also flared.
"No need for that." A voice said.
Toru's eyes lit up with joy. "Master!"
"What?! It cant be, you shouldn't be able to step foot on this island!" Michael yelled.
Chase chuckled. "Did you really think that barrier could keep me out forever? I never had any desire to come here so I didn't bother with it. But now," his hands glow a dark green "after you tried to wipe out all life, and harming my mate, well, now I had ample reason to come."
Chase blasts the angel into the jungle and went after him. Toru tried to get to him but Orion stopped her. They could both be heard fighting along with the sounds of breaking bones, tearing flesh and the sound of Michael screaming.
Chase walked out with blood dripping from his hands. "Toru, Orion, Hitomi, come. We're leaving."
They all followed. Toru snapped her fingers and several pairs of clothes appear in front of Aranea with a card on one of them that said 'enjoy freedom. Miami is great this time of year.'
The monks and Karen had climbed onto of Dojo who was now able to fly back.
Flashback 15 minutes ago
The girls were walking back to the beach; Toru had pulled Kimiko to the side.
"Hey, I need a favor." Toru said.
"And why should I do anything to help you?" Kimiko asked
"Its not for me its for my sister."
Kimiko's eyes widened. "Your sister?"
"I need you to take her to your temple. I cant bring her with me, not just yet. And before you say no, she needs a place to stay somewhere she can be safe after today. You and I both know there's way to many dangers out there for someone normal to face. So will you help me?"
Kimiko nodded. "Yeah I'll help you."
Flashback ends
The monks flew through the sky.
Karen tapped Kimiko's shoulder. "What did my sister say to you, exactly?"
"She just wanted me to bring you to the temple so you could be safe and that she'd be back for you soon." Kimiko explained
Karen smile that her sister was still thinking about her. Omi and Clay were glad they were getting a new addition to the group but Raimundo was not. Having Toru's twin walking around the temple did not sit easily with him and there was no way in hell he was going to stand it for long.
And done. Don't worry folks I'm not done with this arc just yet you have one more chapter before I go on hiatus and its I nice juicy lemon. Chase really doesn't like Toru being in danger like this. :) Plez review and remember there's a poll on my account so go vote!
