Author's Note: This is why I had to make the last chapter a wee bit short. I am listening to classical music for Halloween and Doctor Horrible, so that might have influenced my writing a wee bit.
Third Person Pov
Jack woke up in dark room, confused as to how he got there. There were two large beds, one with poisonous leaves on them. The bed Jack was on had black frost on it. On one side of the large room was a drawing desk. Jack flew over to the desk. On the desk were charcoal sketches with charcoal pencils on the desk. The drawing that stood out to Jack the most was a sketch of Merida, Rapunzel, Hiccup, and Jack. Hiccup, Jack, and Rapunzel all had yellow eyes (In Hiccup's case, yellow dragon eyes) and black hair. Merida had orange-red eyes and her hair was dark red, reminding Jack of blood. Jack, who had a mischievous look on his face, was floating over Rapunzel and ruffling her black hair. Hiccup was wearing a malicious smile and throwing a small dagger that had flecks of blood on it into the air. Merida was next to Hiccup, her bow with a notched flaming arrow on it in one hand. "Like the sketch? I stayed up for 2 hours last night trying to get the details right." Said a voice that Jack knew well. "Hey, Hic." Jack said, turning to see my brother leaning next to the doorway. "So, when do you think the Guardians will try to find us?" "My guess would be a couple of days, so we'll be able to have some fun with them. I know where the Guardians are going next." Said Jack. "Where's that, brother?" Asked Hiccup. "Norway." Said Jack. The brothers smirked as they went to tell their Father the news.
"You sound familiar… did you live in a place called Corona, in Germany?" Asked Onceler as Flynn helped the tall spirit get off the ground. "Yeah. Why?" Asked the thief. "Oh, my friend Punzel woke up there." Said Onceler."You know Blondie? How is she? What do you mean by 'woke up there'?" Asked Flynn. "I don't mean to interrupt your conversation, but I think the horses are breaking through your vine barrier." Said Mavis. "Oh. We should go. We have to go to Arendelle to get a girl named Elsa." Said Onceler. "Where's Arendelle?" Asked Mavis. "Denmark. I have been there a couple of times. I could take you if you want." Said Flynn. "Oh, that would be wonderful!" Said Mavis. "Wait. Onceler, I think I may be able to sense other spirits." Said Mavis. "Why didn't you do so earlier?!" Asked Onceler. "I just figured out I could by looking at you and seeing a bright green glow." Said Mavis. "Well, try it!" Said Onceler. Mavis closed her eyes and opened them again, her eyes now glowing purple. In the place of Onceler, she saw the outline of the Onceler, but his body was glowing brightly a shade of yellow-green. When she looked at her hands, she saw that her hands were glowing brightly a shade of purple. She saw, in the air, dim glows, and somehow knew that these were smaller spirits such as Will O' The Wisps and others. When the vampire girl looked at Flynn, she saw Flynn's outline, his body glowing brightly blue-green. Mavis's eyes turned back to blue. "Flynn's the third spirit we need, isn't he?" Asked Onceler. "Wait-'Third spirit we need'? What do you need me for?" Asked Flynn. "We'll tell you on the way to Arendelle. Night Mare alert!"
The Night Mares flew-wait, thought Flynn, those abominations of nature can fly?- over the abyss to the group of spirits. A beam of blue-green light came from Flynn's palm, forming a force field in front of the group, the force field in the shape of a shield with a sun design on it. "Go, I'll hold them off." Said Flynn. Onceler and Mavis backed up, not taking their eyes off Flynn, who looked a bit bored and strained at the same time at holding off such a large amount of Night Mares. Flynn ran backwards, still holding his shield. He grabbed Onceler's and Mavis's hands, the blue green light being held up by pure mindpower at that moment. Onceler turned around, and was about to announce that they were about to run into a wall, when they went through the wall, the area when they went through the wall turning blue-green for a couple of seconds. Flynn was smiling when they were on the other side of the wall. "I love doing that." He said. On the other side of the wall was a meadow.
"Well, this is a different change in scenery." Commented Mavis. "Actually, we're still underground, so you won't burn. It is an underground meadow. I come across these a lot. In fact, I think my house is here somewhere. I can never tell. These meadows are always so big." Said Flynn. He looked into the distance for a moment and suddenly said, "Max, there you are! Where were you?" In a flash of blue-green light, a horse appeared. It had an intelligent look in its eyes. He had a blonde mane and tail, and his coat was white, but when the light hit it in a specific way, it gained a blue-green aura. Max hit Flynn with his hoof. The thief almost fell, but balanced on one leg and righted himself. "So, you didn't tell me why you needed me." Said Flynn as he made a glowing blue-green rock from his hand and sat on it, making Onceler think of the Green Lanterns. "Only when you tell us why you're alone underground." Said Mavis. Flynn sighed. "I'm not alone! I have Max."
"That doesn't count." Said Onceler. Flynn sighed and waved his hand. A blue-green glowing log was constructed. Onceler and Mavis sat down on the log. "Well, it started when I died." Said Flynn. "You what?" Asked Mavis. "I died. Most spirits die in life before they're born as spirits. Ask the Twig. Speaking of which, I don't know your names." Said Flynn. "Oh, I'm Mavis and this is Onceler." Said Mavis. "Well, first I'd have to tell you how I died. It was a couple of weeks after Blondie died. I was going into hiding with the King and Queen, since rioters had taken over the Castle of Corona. The rioters sent out a search party for us. It turned out that the leaders of the riots were one of the Stabbington Brothers, a group I had worked with in stealing things in the past," Said Flynn. "I knew you were a thief!" Said Onceler.
"Yeah, I'm not exactly 100% proud of that fact. Anyway, the older Stabbington Brother was dead, and the younger came after me for revenge. He found while we were having lunch one day. I was out hunting one deer that I could not catch, when I heard a scream. It belonged to the Queen. I immediately ran over to our campsite and saw that the Stabbington Brother had the Queen at swordpoint. I ran towards the Stabbington Brother. I knocked him over a cliff, but as I did, he impaled me with his sword. Oh, did I forget to mention that our campsite was near a cliff? Well, it was. Anyway, the King and Queen tried to save me, but I ended up dying. I woke up in the same place I died. I wandered around for a bit, was startled that people could walk through me, and then fell through a sinkhole in the ground that was covered with leaves and branches. Once I was at the bottom, I stumbled my way around before discovering my ability to create things out of light. I made a lantern and walked on. I had tried to get out of this underground chasm for a little while, before giving up on it. The walls are made with some sort of Dark energy that I cannot control. There is Nightmare Sand in the walls, too. I tried to absorb the Dark energy from the walls, but I ended up absorbing half-Dark energy and half Nightmare Sand. I still have some of it in my system."
