Toru: what are you up to.

Me: nothing. Just giving the people what they asked for. Remember I won nothing but my own characters.

Previously:

Chase looked down at this tiny thing, he was so small, so fragile, and yet Chase could tell he was strong. He was the perfect mixture of him and his mate; he looked like him but had his mate's skin color and hair color while still having his golden eyes proving he was his heir. His daughter was the same she looked like Toru but had his skin and hair color, but her eyes-one was green and one was gold-truly it looked beautiful on her, his perfect little lotus flower.

Chase's son looked up at his father showing nothing more than a bored expression before gave a small smile, proud to see who his sire was. He knew between the two of his parents he and his sister would become very strong.

"So how come you couldn't tell we were having twins?" Toru asked looking at Aranea.

"Well its not like we ever did any x-rays, but if I had to guess one child managed to hide behind another." Aranea explained.

"Um, if you don't mind me asking Lord Chase, but what are you going to name them?" Hitomi asked.

Chapter 38: A Father's Fury

The Xiaolin temple

A lot has happen in the last few months the monks had moved to a new temple with Master Monk Guanafter there last one was nearly completely destroyed. Karen had settled in well and even started some basic training, granted she wasn't a prodigy like Toru but she wasn't bad either. Monk Guan seemed to have taken a liking to Karen, as did the other monks, all that is except for Raimundo. Karen tried her best to be his friend but no matter what she did he wouldn't accept it.

Toru giving birth to Kia and Mei-Lien didn't go unnoticed Monk Guan felt it too, that a new evil just entered into the world, a powerful one. He summoned the monks to meet him in the court yard.

"Young monks a new evil has been brought down upon us, and must be dealt with quickly." Monk Guan said with his normal cool-under-pressure attitude.

"Who's the new threat Master Monk Guan?" Clay asked with a slight nervousness in his voice.

"There is a prophecy that the children born of evil shall bring about the end of the world. That prophecy has now come true."

All the monks had a look of shock on their faces; a child born into evil?

"But how could that be master, I thought one had to choose whether to be on the side of good or evil." Omi said.

"Yes normally that is the case but not when that evil is strong enough. I have sensed a shift in balance of good and evil, Chase Young and Toru have brought a child into the world." Monk Guan said with grimace in his voice.

All of their eyes widen; they had a child? How could 2 so evil ever hope to be good parents? They would probably torcher the child until it was evil for sure. No, no way they could allow an innocent life such a fate, they have to rescue it.

Chase Young's lair.

It was the exact opposite in fact Toru couldn't have been a more doting mother she sat in Chase's bed chamber holding her Kia. "You need to protect your sister, Kia" she said, Kia gave an almost confused expression as if asking 'why'. "You need to protect her because that's what older siblings do and you want to be a good brother don't you?" Toru said smiling. Kia gave a determined look understanding what his mother said. Toru chuckled, "That's my smart boy."

Mei-Lien started to fuss and Toru picked her up. "Oh, what's wrong, Mei-Lien. Having trouble sleeping? How about if mother sings for you, would you like that?" Mei-Lien gave happy cooing sounds.

Toru smiled. "aimo aimo

They both feel asleep in their mother's arms; Toru has never felt more at peace than right now.

Chase came in a bit later and saw his mate enjoying her time with their children and as much as he didn't want to take them away from her he knew she needed rest, he could still see the look of exhaustion on her face.

"That's enough for today Toru, you must rest." Chase could see the reluctance on her face to let go. "You have done well my mate, you have brought Kia, and Mei-Lien into the world safely, and I promise you they will be here in the morning. But you must rest if you are to continue doing a good job."

Toru understood but it was just hard for her to let go of them even for a second, but what choice did she have? She handed them over to Chase who placed them in a crib and the end of their bed; they both fit in there perfectly, they were so close to her and yet still so far from her. Chase kissed Toru and left her to finally get some sleep.

The monks were about a mile above Chase's lair hopefully out of the way of his range.

Kimiko had doubt coursing through her; she just couldn't shake the feeling that taking their child will just leave to more problems. "I don't like this you guys, maybe we should go back."

Raimundo looked back at her. "What are you saying? They're evil, the only reason they would even have a kid is to use it for evil. Besides you heard what Master Monk Guan said this kid could bring about the end of the world once it gets old enough we need to rescue it now."

But is rescuing or kidnapping?

"Manchurian Musca!" Raimundo shouted, he turned into a fly and went in, he was careful to avoid the throne room knowing Chase would surely be there. After a little searching he made it to Chase's bed chambers and found Toru sound asleep and the crib at the end of the bed. As he went to look he was surprised to see not one kid but two-twins, they had twins? Great more trouble, just what he needed. "Changing Chopsticks." He whispered and the babies shrank. He took them and flew off.

Chase sat in his throne room contemplating with his beast.

'Our mate did better than we originally thought'

'Indeed providing us with 2 heirs, and they are strong'

'Yes, our son is very calculating; no doubt he will be a great tactician'

'And our daughter she has a sadistic look in her eyes, I'm sure she'll enjoy torturing humans when she's older'

'Speaking of which we'll have to keep a constant eye on her; imagine what she'll look like when she's older.'

Chase let out an annoyed growl, the thought boys looking at his little lotus flower did not sit well.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Toru let out a horrific scream and Chase came rushing back to his chamber. He found his mate crying over the crib-the empty crib.

Chase was seeing red, who would have the audacity to do this? "What happened Toru?"

Toru could barely speak through her sobbing. "I-I got up to feed them and their crib was empty." She tightly clutched the blanket. "It was Raimundo, I could smell his scent." She said angrily with hot, heavy tears coming down her face.

The monks took his children and upset his mate who was already in a fragile condition. They must have found out about the prophecy-Monk Guan must have told them and put them up to this, that was the only explanation, he knew the monks wouldn't have come up with this plan unless he told them.

Toru struggled to stand and it hurt like hell but she didn't care. "We have to get them back, Chase"

Chase stopped her and sat her back down on the bed. "I will get back Kia and Mei-Lien, Toru and the monks will pay dearly for taking them, I promise you."

"I want to come with you." Toru insisted

"No, Toru, you need to rest, you're still weak from the birthing."

"But what if something's happened to them?" she said with pleading eyes.

"I can assure you that if one hair is out of place I'll kill all of them," his hands glowed a dark green and he brought it to her face and it was slowly starting to make her fall asleep. "and by the time you wake up they will be back in your arms." She fell asleep and Chase placed her back into bed. "Hitomi!"

The clouded leopard came as quickly as she could with her condition and all. "Yes Lord Chase?"

"You are to remain with Toru until I return, and she is not to leave this room until that happens."

Hitomi bowed. "Yes Lord Chase."

The monks flew back with the twins in hand. Kai was glaring at the monks, who were these people and where were his parents? Mei-lien who was normally smiling and laughing gave the same bored expression as her brother, she didn't care for these people, granted they were only 5 hours old but they knew what they wanted.

Omi looked at them, "Strange how something so small and cute will cause the end of the world."

Raimundo was holding Kia looked down at the little monster. "Believe it Omi because they wont stay this way forever." Kai glared at him. "What?" Raimundo said as if expecting an answer. He pointed his finger in Kai's face. "Look you-"

"Rai, I wouldn't do that-" Kimiko tried to warn him but it was too late. Kai had taken on his Dragon-like form for a moment-but unlike Chase he was red-and bit Raimundo, hard.

"Ow! The little monster bit me!" he shouted. Mei-Lien started to laugh apparently she enjoyed hearing others in pain.

"I tried to warn you Rai." Kimiko said while holding the laughing Mei-Lien and couldn't help to admit to herself that she was kind of cute.

"You know its accrued to me that we don't know the fellas names" Clay said holding his hat keeping it from flying off.

Omi pondered this for a moment, "I wonder what their names could be?"

"Well whatever it is I'm sure they named them something pure evil" Raimundo said pretty sure of himself. When in fact they weren't Kai's name meant 'victorious' and Mei-Lien's name meant 'beautiful lotus', but you couldn't convince the dragon of wind any different.

Kimiko was looking t Mei-Lien and noticed she looked a lot like Toru and a horrible pit in her stomach formed. They just kidnapped Karen's niece and nephew, and worst she was sure they'll have to hide them form her.

Xiaolin temple

Dojo finally landed and the monkswere greeted by Master Monk Guan.

"We succeeded in our mission, master." Omi said.

"Congratulations young monks," he gestured to of the regular monks to take the children. "Now we can make sure the prophecy doesn't come true and give these two a chance at good."

Kimiko and Raimundo handed Kai and Mei-Lien over and they were taken into the temple. The dragon of fire looked down with a melancholy look on her face.

Monk Guan walked over to her "What troubles you Kimiko?"

Kimiko bite her lip unsure of what to say without sounding like a traitor. "Was it right for us to do this, master? I mean we took 2 kids away from their parents, and yeah they may be evil but they're still their parents, what's to stop them from coming after them?"

Guan lifted a brow trying to think on the right way to answer this. "We had no other option Kimiko; it was either this or the end of the world"

The babies were placed in separate room; the way it was set up was so all the good energy and positive chi could flow through. They didn't like to say the least, Kai glared at the whole room disapproving of everything he saw, and his sister began to cry-loudly. She wanted to go home and be with their father and mother.

The monk carrying Mei-Lien tried to calm her down but nothing was working and Mei-Lien was starting to build up energy and eventually discharged lightning zapping the monk. Kai gave a sadistic smile seeing the monk in pain, but it quickly went back to a frown; he's first transformation and Mei-Lien's lightning bolt and neither of his parents were there to see it. He was sure his parents would be proud to see their powers develop so quickly.

Chase arrived at the temple with his anger flaring, he wanted his presences known; he wanted a fight.

The monks quickly ran outside and saw the dark look on Chase's face, he would normally have a smug look or his usual calm and collected look but not now, he was defiantly mad.

Omi took a fighting stance, "Chase Young, leave here at once or prepare for a humiliating defeat."

"Not today, little one. You've taken something of mine and I want them back!" the prince of darkness shouted.

The monks knew they had to protect the twins otherwise they forfeit the whole planet.

"Wudai Orion Formation!" They turned into living energy and attacked Chase with their elements.

Chase dodged and even turned their attacks back on them knocking the monks out. The worst part of it for the monks was that he barely moved 6 feet. Right before Omi passed out he was faced with a horrible realization; Chase could have easily defeated them a long time ago, so all this time was he simply holding back?

Monk Guan came out as soon as the other monks were defeated and Chase could barely contain his beast when he saw him.

"You!" he said in a deep growling voice.

Master Monk Guan took his fighting stance with his Spear of Guan in hand and lunged at Chase.

His beast couldn't take it anymore, he was on the verge of madness and took over and faced Guan head on. Guan's spear and Chase's claws clashed, there battle quickly escalated sending them crashing through several parts of the temple. Chase slashed at Monk Guan's lower neck, and nearly gutted him when he slashed his stomach. Mast monk Guan also managed to cut Chase across his chest and stabbed him in his left shoulder.

Chase slashed at Monk Guans legs using the barbs on his tail crippling him. He held up the injured monk by his neck and looked him in the eyes.

"I should have done this years ago." He held up his claw ready for a final attack.

The other monks ran in.

"No!"

"Don't do this!"

They all shouted, pleading for their master's life.

Chase simply gave them a cold look and turned back to his victim. "There is a grave price to pay for crossing me like this." And with that he cut open Guan's throat and dropped him. Kimiko let out a deafening scream as part of Guan's throat hit the ground

The monks ran over to help him and by that time Chase was gone and so…so was Guan, he had and empty look in his eyes; he didn't even get to say any final words. All their eyes began to tear up and they cried for their lost master. Blood was pooling around them from the gaping hole in his neck, it covered most of Guan's clothes and was staining their shoes, if they could describe it in one word it would be: horror. It was like the scene from a horror movie.

Chase was making his way to where they were holding his children and passed Karen on the way. She flinched when she saw him; she had heard the fighting and was nowhere near the level she would need to be to help. Chase simply looked at her and passed by, she had done nothing wrong, and even if she did Karen was his mate sister, and he knew Toru would never want anything to happen to her.

Kai and Mei-Lien saw their father enter and were over joyed to see him, Kai only smiled, glad to see a familiar face, and Mei-Lien laughed and smiled holding up her arms wanting to be held, yep she was Toru's daughter alright.

He was glad to see neither of them were injured, he smiled down at his son and picked up his little lotus flower who quickly nuzzled in her father's embrace. He picked up Kia as well and left.

Chase Young's lair

Toru was beginning to walk up and was greeted with a welcomed surprise-Chase with Kai and Mei-Lien in his arms. Toru was so happy that she nearly began to cry. Chase gave them to her and she held them tightly, so relieved. After she got a hold of them she notices the blood on his hands.

"Chase, that blood, who's is it?" Toru asked.

"Monk Guan, he needed to pay for having our children kidnapped, so I killed him." he said as if killing one of his biggest rivals meant almost nothing.

Toru only gave a devilish smirk. "I'm glad, did you make him suffer?"

Chase cupped her face and gave the same look back. "I did, I made sure he was completely helpless, and the best part of it was the young monks watched as I killed him."

Toru chuckled, "Shame that I couldn't get to see it. You know how much I love torture "

"Do not worry my mate you will have many opportunities to slaughter as many humans as your heart desires, and so will our children."

And finished. I really wanted to kill Guan for a while. No disrespect to any of his fans out there but I found him rather useless in the series, yes he saved the monks in one episode, turns into their drill sergeant and turns into a major dick the next episode he shows up in and is turned evil in his last appearance. I didn't really see him having any higher purpose than to show up when it was most convenient for him. anyway did I live up to your expectations of Chase being an protective father? This just proves that you shouldn't be kidnapping the children of your greatest enemy. Don't for get to vote on my poll and always plez review.
