Me: yeah. Ok competition time. Whoever can draw the best older version of Mei-Lien and Kai (with Toru and Chase if they want) can tell me exactly how they want me to kill Hannibal and Wuya every else can still make suggestions on how to torture them.

Toru: you done yet?

Me: yeah, yeah. Remember I own nothing but my own characters.

Previously:

Toru was beginning to walk up and was greeted with a welcomed surprise-Chase with Kai and Mei-Lien in his arms. Toru was so happy that she nearly began to cry. Chase gave them to her and she held them tightly, so relieved. After she got a hold of them she notices the blood on his hands.

"Chase, that blood, who's is it?" Toru asked.

"Monk Guan, he needed to pay for having our children kidnapped, so I killed him." he said as if killing one of rivals was no big deal.

Toru only gave a devilish smirk. "I'm glad did you make him suffer?"

Chase cupped her face and gave the same look back. "I did, I made sure he was completely helpless, and the best part of it was the young monks watched as I killed him."

Toru chuckled, "Shame that I couldn't get to see it."

"Do not worry my mate you will have many opportunities to slaughter as many humans as your heart desires, and so will our children."

Chapter 39: Happy Times Over

Xiaolin temple

The buried Mast Monk Guan the next morning, in the rain. Why did it have to rain? Was it the heavens expressing their sadness too? There wasn't a dry eye among them or a kind word left unsaid even Karen said a few words. Although Raimundo didn't think she deserved to say anything since it was her family that caused this. The rain continued to pellet them stinging there eye and making it impossible to tell who was shedding tears or not.

Although this was a sad time for them Master Fung still had one last challenge for them; a leader had to be chosen.

A few days later when everyone was settling down he made his announcement. "There is still one last test before a leader is selected. You will each go on a quest but this time you will choose your own quest. You can rely on Dojo who will be at your beck-and-call."

A few hours past and even after racking their brains none of the monks could come up with anything-so they all decided to spy on one another with no luck. And after another attack by Chase resulting in a large part of their wu being stolen (making it worse that he was doing it just to spite them) Omi finally came up with his quest.

"I will go back in time and stop Hannibal Bean from turning Chase Young to the dark side." The little monks said sitting on his head.

Dojo agreed with this endeavor proceeded with the plan.

Chase Young's lair

Over the last few weeks nothing much had happen, Toru and Chase where enjoying parenthood and Hitomi gave birth to her kittens.

The birthing lasted for about 2 hours and was difficult on Hitomi; she couldn't hold her human form which would have made it easier. Thankfully she didn't need the C-section like Aranea thought and Orion was there the whole time comforting her. The clouded leopard gave birth to 5 healthy kittens, 4 boys with the first born being the biggest and 1 girl that looked like Hitomi was the smallest. Orion was very pleased; he wouldn't say it out loud but after what Aranea said he was worried that they might lose one of them, but he knew the last thing his mate wanted to hear was that he was having doubts that they wouldn't make it.

Orion looked down at his children with pride, sure right now they were blind and helpless but they would grow stronger, and become warriors. Yes he intended to raise them as Spartans but Hitomi wanted them to have as much a normal childhood as possible. They came to an agreement that there Spartan life wouldn't be 100% authentic.

Their only daughter, the smallest was already trying to explore even though she couldn't see there was a whole world of new smells that she wanted to check out. She dragged her tiny body since she couldn't walk and mewed with excitement, but she didn't get too far, Orion quickly ended her adventure and brought her back over to her mother to feed with her brothers.

A few days after Toru gave birth Chase had given her an amulet to protect her; it was in the shape of a golden dragon (naturally) and in the center laid a scarlet gem that held the magic. Unbeknownst to Toru, Chase had placed some of his blood in the amulet so it can be used as a tracking device. Not that he didn't trust her he just didn't trust his enemies. There were too many altercations for Chase's liking where Toru disappeared and it nearly ended up with her getting killed.

Toru resumed her training and was sparing with some of the warriors while Kia watched. He was fascinated by what was happening in front of him the way Toru's body moved anticipating her opponent's moves and avoiding injury. She defeated them easily.

Meanwhile Chase was enjoying his time with Mei-Lien, he held his little lotus flower who sat comfortably in his arms. He told her of his ambitions and how she and her brother would help. Mei-Lien seemed to like the idea especially the part where it involved torturing others. But the peaceful moment was short lived when Jack Spicer walked in.

Chase gave an annoyed sigh, "What do you want insect?"

"H-hi, Chase." Jack said with his normal fan-boy nervousness. "Uh, hey, who's the kid?"

"Not that it's any of your business Spicer but this is Mei-Lien, my daughter." He smiled as he proclaimed one of his heirs.

"She's kind of cute, could I hold her?" Jack asked as he walked closer.

Chase immediately sent him a death glare. "Take one more step towards her and I will rip your arms off, insect." The wannabe villain stopped shaking in his boots; there was no way Chase would allow anyone other than himself and Toru to hold his precious lotus flower.

Jack was about to leave but not without a parting gift from Mei-Lien; the little sadistic thing gave smirk and reached for his helipad, shooting out electricity from her tiny hand causing it to explode. He gave a girly scream throwing off his helipad before the explosion took part of him with it. His screaming and frantic behavior made her laugh and Chase smile; she did enjoy seeing others in pain.

Chase looked at his daughter with pride she was already able to control her powers so well, he couldn't wait until she was older to start her training.

Kia watched his mother until her training was done for the day and was beginning to grow tired, hey he was still a baby after all, but they were developing a lot faster than a normal child would. They were barely a month old and during their first week they started to walk, Kia had no problem and succeeded on his first try. Mei-Lien on the other hand was having some trouble but refused to be beaten by her brother so after several tries and a lot of determination she eventually got it.

And only 2 weeks later they both said there first words. Toru and Chase's pride was growing exceptionally with seeing their children development.

Toru pick up her yawning son. "You're tiered, huh? How about you and me just go take a little nap." She said in a sweet tone. Kia just nodded.

As they walked towards the bed chambers something happened, Kia tensed up and Toru felt a sickening pit fall into her stomach as her pendant glowed bright red, blinding them both. When the light subsided they were outside the citadel but the citadel wasn't there nothing was it was just the side of the mountain.

Toru's eyes widen with horror. "What the-what happened?" she looked around for a sign-for anyone, her mate, Orion or Hitomi but nothing.

Kia looked up at his mother. "Where dad, and sister?" he asked in a tiny voice.

"I don't know, but don't worry we'll find them." she rubbed he's face trying to comfort him.

Toru casted a spell allowing her to fly, the Land of Nowhere seemed the same but then she got closer to the to the monks temple and it looked the same as Chase's domain the plant life was dead, there were no animals-at least not any living ones and the place looked abandoned, what happen?

'We must find Chase'

'But where do we start looking for him. Everywhere it looks dead'

'Perhaps answers lie in the temple'

She lowered her self but stopped when she saw Omi fighting Hannibal, Wuya, and…Monk Guan? What was he doing here? The answer soon became obvious as he transformed. Hideous was the only word that came to mind; he turned into some kind of scorpion, his new look made her cringe.

As the fight ensued the little monk was losing, being overwhelmed. While Toru wondered why this was all happening she saw someone she didn't intend to see-Chase. But he looked different, he wasn't wearing his armor, his eyes weren't slited and more importantly he was helping Omi. Not like he hasn't done that type of thing before but it was only when it benefited him.

"Chase Young, and exactly who's side are you on?" Omi asked.

"You must have taken a hit to the noggin my good friend" Chase said as he patted Omi on the head.

"We are good friends?" Omi said smiling

Toru watched as Wuya and Monk Guan attacked them but they managed to dodge and get out of the way and use the Couching Cougar to escape. Toru followed them and Chase explained to Omi everything that happened. Hannibal failed to get Chase to go to the dark side and turned to Monk Guan.

A little while later Chase brought Omi to a crappy little dirt farm they were living at. Toru would have laughed at how far they've fallen if this whole situation didn't affect her as well. Soon after it got dark Toru snuck up on the little lone monk, grabbing him by the neck.

"Toru? What are you doing here?" Omi asked wide eyed.

Toru was seething with anger, "What do you think you little shit, you caused this. My entire life is gone-Chase is gone, Hitomi, my best friend gone and she had just had her kittens; my daughter was wiped out of existence because of you. I should kill you right now, and it would be all too easy but that wont get us what we both need and that's our lives back." She dropped Omi on his butt.

The little monk sat back up. "I think I am owned an explanation on how you got here."

Toru's eyes widened with anger and she immediately stepped on Omi's little round head. "I 'owe' you an explanation?! I owe you nothing! You are about to owe me your life for not killing you right here." She dug heel into his head. "You are going to solve this and you are going to solve this quickly. " She got off of his head and walked away.

Omi had soon explained to his fellow monks all that had happened but they weren't convinced so he and the others snuck back to the temple where he uncovered the Lao Mang Lone soup.

"But wait if this Omi is from a parallel universe then what do you reckoned happened to our Omi?" Clay interjected

"I believe I know where we can find me; in the temple basement." All of a sudden Wuya, Guan and the jungle cats surrounded them and a cage trapped the Monks. "And I believe we have found a way in."

Toru watched and she wasn't happy, Omi getting captured was not a good sign.

'We should have resolved this ourselves'

'Well what do you suggest we do? Its not like we can walk up there'

'Cant we? We are still the dragon of lightning, why wouldn't they want us to join? If it can get us close to our mate and closer to fixing it then why not try?'

'Hmm, not a bad idea'

She lowered and herself and Set down Kia. "Mommy his going to have a little chat with the others, ok? So its important that you don't move from this spot, alright?"

"Yes." Kia said in his cute little voice.

"That's my good boy." She placed a cloaking spell over him and proceeded to the temple were she was immediately surrounded by that useless witch Wuya, Guan, Hannibal and…Chase? He-he was back to normal. Toru was ready to jump into his arms but she knew he didn't know her so she had to restrain herself. She had to do the same for Wuya and Hannibal she wanted to kill both of them for all the trouble and grief they caused but that would have to come later.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Hannibal said riding his bird. "So tell us darlin' what is a pretty young lady like you doing way out here?"

Ew he was flirting again, and it took all of Toru's might not to puke. "I…I came to join your evil cause."

Wuya chuckled. "You join us? And what could a little brat like you ever hope to offer us?" Wuya certainly didn't want another girl here, especially one who looked she can be trouble for her.

Static started to surge around her, "Well I am the dragon of lightning so there is that."

Chase's eyes widen slightly, the dragon of lightning, she was the one that the gods promised to him. That means she belongs to him, she is his apprentice. He walked up to her his dragon-like form towering over her own. "What is your name?" he asked with his booming reptilian voice.

"Its Toru." She missed him, though it was only a few hours to her it felt like a life time. But the nostalgia was short lived as the sound of Kia crying shattered her concentration.

Guan gave a twisted smile as he held Kia up by his collar. "Look what I found, someone was keeping a secret."

Toru's eyes widen with anger, "DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM!" She lunges at Guan taking her child back and was about to kill him but restrained herself.

Hannibal and Wuya took defensive positions but Chase stepped in front of Toru protecting her.

"Chase, what are you doing?!" Wuya shouted with her hands glowing.

"This girl belongs to me, I wont have any of you touching her!" Chase said with his usual authority.

Hannibal sighed he didn't want to fight Chase he was the loyal servant he had waited 1500 years for. "Settle down Wuya." He told the witch.

Wuya's eyes widened with shock. "Hannibal you can be serious, she's-"

Hannibal cut her off, "If Chase wants the girl then he can have her." he said to his reluctance. Hannibal would never say it out loud but he did want this girl for himself.

Chase had brought Toru to a separate room and she sat down on the bed holding Kia. Chase was still in is other form she wondered why he hasn't shifted back. Maybe this was how it was like when he first got his powers.

"Who are you? You seem familiar to me but I know we've never met" he looked at her with an inquisitive nature.

Toru thought about her words, she knew anything she might say could end up with her sounding mad, but really what choice did she have? "I…I was your apprentice and then I became your mate."

"My mate?"

She nodded. "Yes, you've trained me since I was a child, taught me everything I know and more, you showed me the world and the worlds beyond that."

He looked down at the baby and noticed he was looking at him. "Then this child, he-he's my son."

Toru smiled lightly and nodded. "This is Kia, we had a daughter but…" the warrior-ess almost cried at the thought but bit her lip to stop herself, "thanks to that little round fool, Omi she's gone now."

Chase saw the forlorn on her face and how Kia touched her face trying to comfort her. He lifted up her chin having her look in his eye. He would always do this anytime she felt sad or insecure of herself but this Chase didn't know this although for some reason it felt right to him. "We will get our daughter back…my mate."

Those words set her mind at ease.

Chase looked away for a second. "Something's wrong. Remain here."

"But-"

"Stay here Toru, I will resolve this."

In the temple basement

Omi and the others had made it to the basement and found that universes Omi and Dojo frozen in a block of ice.

"There I am." Omi said with a smile.

There joy didn't last long as Chase, Wuya-with Hannibal riding on her shoulder, and Guan came down the stairs.

Hannibal was relaxing on Wuya's shoulder, "I must thank you for delivering Chase young to the dark side. You did what I failed to do years ago."

"No I didn't come this far to lose, we will find a way to win, its our destiny." Raimundo looked down and went to grab the Eye of Dashi only to have Hannibal touch it the same time he did. He looked the little bean in the eyes, "I challenge you to a 4-way tag-team Xiaolin showdown.

Hannibal had a confident smirk on his face, "Our Serpent's Tail, Moonstone Locust, Moby Morpher, and Ju-Ju Flytrap, against your Ants in the Pants, Cannon Blaster, Lasso Boa Boa and Orb of Tornami"

"The game is Rescue the damsel in distress first to save the damsel wins." Raimundo declared the game with unwavering determination.

"LETS GO XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN!" they both shouted.

The terrain changed and the temple exploded as a 100 foot high stone castle shot out of the ground, covering its self in vines that reached to the top tower where Dojo (wearing a blonde curled wig, blue dress with matching blue hat) was playing the damsel.

"Please rescue me, rescue me!" he said with a shrilled, girly voice

The draw bridge lowered and Raimundo and Hannibal glared at each other. "GONG YI TEMPI!"

"Moby Morpher!" Hannibal grew several times his size and went after the dragon of wind.

Raimundo was doing well at scaling the tower until he started jumping along the large ascending spikes. Hannibal caught up to him and broke the part of the spike Rai was on.

"WHOA! CLAY TAG IN NOW!" Raimundo shouted.

Raimundo was about to fall in a moat full of hungry gators until Clay switched with him. "Lasso Boa Boa." He used his wu to grab onto a spiked ledge and swing further up the castle placing him in first "Yeeha!"

Using the vines Hannibal copied Clay's move and shot upwards. "Tag in Guan!"

Monk Guan switched places with Hannibal.

"Ju-Ju Flytrap!" the bees flew out of Guan's wu and started to sting Clay.

"Oh! Ow! Oh! Ee! Ahh!" The pain was too much for Clay to keep is grip and he started to fall.

"Kimiko, go in!" Rai shouted.

Kimiko switched with Clay and used her fire to burn off the bugs and give herself some loft and climbed up the vines until she reached Guan. "Ants in the Pants!" she opened the container and the swarm of ants came out, attacking Guan biting him making him itch badly. Guan immediately let go of the veins falling to the ground scratching.

"Wuya stop her!" Hannibal shouted as he threw her.

Wuya switched places with the itchy Guan and activated her shen gong wu as soon as she was close enough to Kimiko. "Moonstone Locust". The white locust swarmed out of the wu and ate the vines on the wall Kimiko was on.

Kimiko saw what happened with disbelief. "No waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!" she fell from the wall onto a small tower holding onto it until she slowed down. She gave a relieved sigh glad she didn't take a longer fall down. Feeling like she had a better chance now Kimiko jumped down to the courtyard only to see the entire Heylin team there. "Hey no fair, one player at a time."

Hannibal gave an innocent yet still cocky face, "So we're cheaters." and smacked the dragon of fire with one of his tendrils, knocking her unconscious.

Raimundo switched places with her and proceeded to fight the Heylin team by himself.

Toru watched from a showdown from a distance. She needed the monks to win so she could get her life back.

'He's fairing rather well considering the odds'

'Yes, but can he keep that up?'

It turned out he couldn't, after a well place punch from Guan Rai started to get his butt kicked by Guan and Hannibal. While Raimundo was down barely able to focus his vision Wuya used her magic to bring some stone gargoyles to life and started to jump him. Completely overwhelmed the dragon of wind couldn't dodge what was coming next. Hannibal, Guan and Chase all smashed part of the floor where Rai was on causing it to break off.

His friends (Kimiko in particular) looked on with horror. The Heylin team then proceeded to rush to the top of the tower.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Dojo screamed and fainted.

While being mobbed Raimundo managed to grab hold of his wu. "Cannon Blaster!" he turned into a cannon ball and shot up close to the other team "Wudai star wind!" the cannon form disappeared and Raimundo threw 3 of the gargoyles at Guan, Wuya and Chase. Rai saved Hannibal exclusively for his fist. They all fell of the castle side. He the then a thumbs up and positive smile "Omi its all yours!"

"Orb of Tornami water!" Omi used his wu to propel himself up at great speeds as the tower began to fall. Dojo regained consciousness only to scream at the top of his lungs again like a girl. "Wudai Neptune, ice!" using the orb Omi made a thick wall of ice coming up the tower holding it in place. Omi took off his mask and held out his arms. "Dojo you're safe." He said with a smile.

Dojo jumped down from the tower. "Oh sweet prince, my hero."

Fireworks went off and flowers started to fall showing that good won one of their biggest battles ever. The monks jumped around and cheered, the heylin team sulked, all but Chase who gave a small smile.

When all was said and done the time lines were restored to their original form.

Chase Young's lair

Toru and Kia had returned home to be greeted by Chase holding Mei-Lien.

"Toru…I-I'm not sure what happened but-"

His mate cut him off kissing him passionately. "It doesn't matter what happened, all that matters is that I'm so grateful you found me."

Chase could only remember fragments of what had happened but it was clear enough to him that he didn't want to have a life without Toru or his children. The monks had caused them a lot of trouble, well no point on dwelling on it now, because with his children and his mate he can finally begin his final plans.

Finally done! I no I've been procrastinating and I'm sorry everyone. Only 2 chapters left in the story. I cant believe its been over a year already.
