Onceler

I was asleep, that I knew for sure. Asleep or dead(again). That would be the only explanation for why I was floating in a blank, white area, images of the battle between the Seasons and my teammates rolling through my mind. What had happened, again? Oh, right. Punzel made my brain explode with pain. I tried to wake myself up by pinching my arm, but my hand went through my arm. Wake up, Onceler, I thought to myself. I felt my eyelids flutter. WAKE UP! My eyes opened. I was in a metal cage hanging on the ceiling, with Nightmare Sand in the metal. There was Nightmare Sand on the floor of my cage, too. I tried to make a plant grow, but my head throbbed with pain. Oh, right. Jack poisoned me with Nightmare Sand. I heard people talking below me and strained to hear what they were saying. "So, what should we do with them, Dad?" Asked Rapunzel from below. Wait, Dad? "I'll let you decide, dear." Said a voice that sounded like a hypnotist's. "How about we make them work with us? I already infected the tall one with Nightmare Sand. It should start to show in an hour or so." Said Jack. There was no way I would ever work with them. I realized that the hypnotist must be Pitch. Just perfect. I heard footsteps leave to another section of Pitch's twisted home. I looked around me, being careful not to move too much, lest the Seasons notice that I'm awake. My teammates were nowhere to be found. My cage must've creaked. "Well, finally awake, I see." Said Jack as he flew up to me. Wait, he could fly?

"Why am I here? Why not just kill me during the battle?" I asked, my eyes flashing green. "What'd be the fun in killing you quickly?" Asked Jack." Plus, if we do it Dad's way, then we could take over the world, and kill the weak spirits and convert the powerful ones. The Seasons will have the honor of killing the Guardians ourselves." Said Jack. I was horrified, to say the least. A world where all humans were in fear of a shade they couldn't see, all spirits either killed or working for Pitch? I shuddered in thought. Jack smiled at this. "What's wrong, don't like my plan? Well, too bad for you, Twig. You will join us with your friends, and will be the first in our little army of spirits across the globe." Said Jack malevolently. "No." I said. "We will not join you."

"Well then. You have no choice in the matter, I'm afraid." Sneered Jack. "You have a little time before the Nightmare Sand consumes your hear. You might want to savor that time, Onceler." Said Jack. He had a book in the hand that wasn't holding his staff. He flew up to the top of my cage and sat on top. I assumed he started reading the book. That was his plan? To wait until the Nightmare Sand consumed my heart? I had to find a way to contact the others. If I could only use the ability that I didn't include in our little list-what, I didn't tell you about it? You thought I had no suspicions of Jack? Well, I did, and I kept one or two of my abilities a secret, just in case. I guess I should tell you about it. Anyway, the ability is that I can communicate with people through the Earth, if I know where they are. The problem is, I'm in metal. Also, I'm in the air. That doesn't help. I started formulating a plan for how to get out of this cage and on to the ground.
