Author's Note: This is the 21st chapter, everyone! Woohoo!
Logical Apollo Holmes: Well, it's either 21st or the 25th chapter, since you did the part 1 and 2 on the Prologue, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.
Me: Shut up.
Glee: Yay, Chapter 21! Or chapter 25, if you look at it differently. Anyway, go Apollo Holmes! Wait. Would I be talking in the third person then, since I'm just a part of your personality, or-
Me: Alright, who gave Glee sugar?
Mischief: (grins) Oh, I'm sure I haven't the faintest idea.
Me: Ugh. Mischeif! Now I have to deal with Glee and calm her down because of you! Er, me. Why do I talk to aspects of my personalities?
Brave: Because you're insane?
Me: Ugh. I give up. I'll deal with you guys later. Now, Jack, do the disclaimer! Also-
Elliryanna: I will probably put in Elsa's POV next chapter.
Jack: Apollo Holmes does not own anything except the plot.
Onceler
After a couple of minutes of thinking, I decided to test out my acting skills. I held my heart in fake pain and let a fake moan of pain out of my mouth, which I thought was convincing, because it drew Jack's attention. He didn't look like I had any doubt. "That was quick. Perfect. Now, let's see if the others are doing as well." Said Jack. He flew out of the room, freezing things as he went. The bottom of the cage swung open and I fell out onto the floor. My legs ached. It was a miracle nothing in my body was broken. I think I might have sprained my ankle, though. I put my foot down and a wave of pain came from my foot. Yeah, definitely sprained. OK. Now, to find Flynn. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. It's hard to describe the ability I was using. Think of it as… A seismic sense, sort of. If you've seen Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you know what I'm talking about. If not, look it up. It's a mix of Seismic Sense and X-ray vision. I can see through walls when I use my ability with the earth. I looked to my right and saw Flynn in a room. Inside the room was a metal box. It could fit a human, but nothing else-that box would be a claustrophobe's nightmare. Then I saw Flynn inside the box. He looked scared-That's the first time I've seen him scared. I used my hand to tap on the floor. I then made the vibrations travel to Flynn. I had used Morse code to say 'Flynn, it's Onceler. I'm in the room next to yours, if you're wondering.' Flynn looked around before looking at his wall, as if trying to make a hole through the wall with heat vision or something.
Flynn tapped back in Morse. I picked up the vibrations. Thankfully Flynn understood Morse. I wouldn't want to freak him out with my sort-of telepathic ability. 'Onceler, how did you get out of the cage? Rapunzel told me you were in a cage.' 'Oh, I got out thanks to my brilliant acting skills.' I joked. 'Don't make your ego any bigger, Onceler. Where are the girls? Are they OK? Are you OK?' Asked Flynn. 'I don't know about the girls, but, as for me, other than having a sprained ankle, I'm OK.' I said. 'How are you doing this? Can you help me get out? Where's Jack Black?' Asked Flynn. 'Seismic Sense, probably, and who the heck?' I asked. Who the heck was Jack Black. 'Isn't he a mortal comedian?' 'Yes, but not that Jack Black. It's a nickname I made up. Pitch Black, Jack Frost. Get it?' Asked Flynn. I rolled my eyes, not that he could see. 'Oh, ha-ha. Very funny, Rider. So, why haven't you gotten out yourself?' I asked. I then hit myself on the head. He had told us that one of his fears/ weaknesses was closed spaces. Of course Jack told the others, then put Flynn in a closed space. The aura-controlling spirit's paralyzed with fear. 'It's some sort of magic-inhibiting box.' Tapped Flynn. Huh. My cage didn't have any magic-inhibiting. Then again, they probably figured out that I could only use my powers while connected to the Earth or plants. 'Flynn, is anyone is the room with you?' I asked, aware that someone could be hiding from my seismic sense using magic. ' I don't think so. Rapunzel left a little bit ago. I guess she thought that I would just cave or something. Could you get me out of here fast, Onceler? I feel like I'm going to cave if I spend any longer in here!' Said Flynn. 'OK, OK. I'm on my way over.' I tapped. I turned off my seismic sense and made padding out of plants for my feet. Wouldn't want the others to hear me walking through the halls. I ran out of the room. Surprisingly, there was no door. Maybe Pitch doesn't like doors.
I ran to Flynn's room and saw the metal box he was being held in. I walked over to the cage and made plants come from the ground. They were large vines. Thank the Moon I made the right type of plant grow this time. Last time I tried this cage-opening trick, I had ended up making roses crawl over the cage. That had caused some amusement for the nearby village. The vines made their ways into the holes in some corners of the cage and pulled. The cage, with a lot of effort, fell. There was a small metallic sound, making me wince. Hopefully no one heard that. "Thanks." Said Flynn in a low voice. "Welcome. Now, let's find the others." I said. I used my seismic sense for a minute, before finding them. "Did you find them yet?" Asked Flynn. "Yeah, I found them. They're over there." I said, pointing to a shadowy area a couple yards away.
"Why is everything here shadowy?" Asked Flynn as we walked over to the place where Mavis and Elsa were being kept. I used my seismic sense again and found Elsa in a room surrounded by magical fire. How did I know the fire was magic? Simple, because it didn't burn the room down. "Found Elsa!" I whispered. Flynn looked overjoyed at that. We went through the door to Elsa's room. She looked fearful of the fire and looked overheated-her skin was almost red. "Elsa, over here!" Said Flynn. Elsa looked to us and smiled. "I've tried to put out the fire, but it hasn't worked." Said Elsa, her voice hoarse. Must've been the smoke. I'm surprised Elsa hasn't died of suffocation yet. I forgot. Spirits can only die by another spirit's hand. Whoops. Flynn made a bridge of light to Elsa. "Elsie, cross the bridge. The fire won't hurt you, I promise. You'll be OK." Said Flynn. Elsa didn't seem to like being talked to like she was a child, but consented. She didn't seem to think the bridge was too sturdy, either. She hopped over to us. "Thanks." Said Elsa. I nodded. "Now, let's get Mavis and get the Seasons back to normal." I said. I used my seismic sense and saw Mavis in a room with fire on the sides of the walls. The fire was coming closer to our friend. I ran over to her, and the others followed. "Mavis!" I said. "Onceler?" Asked Mavis. "Oh, thank the Moon. I thought you wouldn't come." Said Mavis. I frowned. "Why wouldn't I come back for you?" I asked. "Hiccup showed me some things. I'm guessing he was using Nightmare Sand to influence me." Said Mavis, but she didn't seem too sure. "Mavis, can you turn into an animal and fly over the fire?" Asked Elsa. "If she was able to do that, then she would've flown out of here a while ago." Said Flynn. "Elsa, Flynn's right. She would have flown out of here if she could have as soon as Hiccup left. Hiccup did something to the fire. Either that, or Mavis is too scared. Mavis, which is it?" I asked. "The former." Said the vampire. I sensed it was a little bit of both. I made a lasso out of vines and swung it at Mavis. The lasso circled her and I pulled her back. I nodded to Elsa. She froze Mavis. I knew Mavis wouldn't feel anything; She's a vampire. Once Mave got to us, I took the lasso off. The ice had already melted from the heat, but that was fine. The only purpose of the ice was to make sure Mavis wouldn't become overheated. "You OK, Mave?" I asked. Flynn raised his eyebrow. He tapped something out in Morse. 'Mave? Since when were you two a couple?' 'Oh, shut it, Flynn.'
I tensed, feeling vibrations from the other hall, coming to us. Ugh. I was getting sick of them winning all the time. Time to change the tables. I whispered to the group what we were going to do. They nodded right when Jack came up with Hiccup, Rapunzel, Merida, and Pitch. Wait, Pitch? He wasn't here for our last battle. Oh, well. We would just have to count on the Seasons helping us if our plan worked. "You're a pretty good actor, Onceler." Said Jack. "I would say 'thanks', but I'm leaving that until you're healed." I said, my scythe in hand. "Do you really think you can beat us and Pitch? You could barely fight us off last time." Said Jack. I frowned. We held up pretty good last time. I tapped my foot in Morse. I had told the others what the Morse was that I was tapping before the others had come. 'Three, two, one. Now.' Flynn made a bubble of light around Rapunzel. I remembered Rapunzel telling me that her flowers were connected to her life source. I figured they worked backwards, too. Flowers need oxygen, so Rapunzel does too. The bubble around Rapunzel twisted around her until it formed a rope of sorts. It also formed a gag over her mouth and nose. She passed out before she could use her hair as a rope. Jack shot a beam of ice, but this time Elsa was able to counteract it and redirect the ice to Merida, who was frozen. The ice quickly start to steam. I ran up to her and raised my hand. Merida was covered in Coastal Live Oak, which can suppress fire. Merida turned into a fire-being, but the wood didn't burn. Thank the Moon Coastal Live Oak can suppress fire for a little bit. I ran over to her and hit her on the head with the snath* of my scythe. "Two down, three to go." Said Mavis. She turned into an owl, dodging the dragon's plasma blasts. Hiccup breathed a swath of fire at her, but it didn't hit Mavis. The vampire turned back into her usual form once she was behind Hiccup. Hiccup kicked her in the stomach. Mavis hit Hiccup back with a telekinetic blast, making him fly to the wall. Hiccup was knocked out. Two left. Pitch was fighting against Elsa and Flynn. Mavis and I fought against Jack. Jack shot a beam of blue-white light at Mavis, but she dodged it. She then turned into a bat. I distracted Jack by trying to hit him with my scythe, while Mavis came up behind him, in her regular form.
"Hey, Jack, over here!" Said Mavis. Jack turned around. Mavis's eyes took on a purplish tint. Jack looked hypnotized. "Onceler, now!" Said Mavis. "I can't hold it for long." I made vines circle around Jack like a snake. In a couple of moments, he was wrapped up. Jack struggled with the vines, since his staff was out of his hand with a little tightening of the vines. "Mavis, get back." Said Flynn. Mavis turned back into a bat and flew back over to me. She then turned back into a human-er, vampire. Flynn raised his hands and the auras of the Seasons and Flynn glowed around them-Blue-white, golden, red-orange, and purple. The auras of the Seasons were covered in black ink, though. Well, that's what it looked like. I watched as the darkness left their auras and was absorbed into Flynn's aura, until Flynn's aura was as black as a Nightmare. He had sweat on his brow, probably from the stress of the darkness on his aura. Jack's hair lightened until it was white and his eyes blue. "Ugh. Why am I in vines and what happened?" Asked Jack, looking very confused. "Explain later. Duck!" Said Flynn. Jack got the message and fell to the floor. Mavis, Elsa, and I did the same. The other Seasons were already on the ground. A wave of darkness came out of Flynn, his eyes pure black for a couple of seconds, then glowing blue-green. The wave of darkness hit Pitch, sending him flying.
