Mavis's POV
I saw Onceler, Flynn, and sometimes Elsa tap their feet in a rhythm, as if speaking to each other. "Talking using a way no one else here would know? That's a little rude, don't you think?" Asked the velvety voice I had learned to hate so quickly. Onceler, Flynn, and Elsa nodded to each other. "Pitch, you know, you're quite the coward." Said Flynn, his arms crossed against his chest. "Oh? How so?" Asked Pitch's voice. I saw an elongated shadow of him on the wall. I detected anger in his voice at being called a 'coward'. I smiled. If this was Onceler's plan, it was working. "Well, after you were blown away by Eugene, you stayed back there. I'd have thought you would've gone back for us for revenge for disabling your Dark Seasons." Said Onceler, sounding bored. "Why would I want to go after you? You came to me." Said Pitch smoothly, with anger still in his voice. "I know, but still." Said Hiccup. I guess he was catching on to what they were doing. What were they trying to accomplish, anyway? "Besides, you're hiding. You won't show yourself. You're afraid of us." Said Elsa. "Afraid? You dare call me afraid of you when you spent most of your life stuck in your bedroom out of fear of your powers?" Asked Pitch. A stream of Nightmare Sand hit Elsa in the back of the head. Pitch was behind us. Hiccup made a tornado around Pitch, which he could not get out of. Then Pitch made the Nightmares. He was smiling, swinging his scythe at Onceler, who counteracted every blow with his scythe.
When Onceler stumbled back, he had golden blood coming from his chest and arms. He just got back up and swung his scythe more. After five minutes of fighting seemingly never ending Nightmares and Fearlings, Onceler swung and landed a blow to Pitch, sending him onto the ground. "You're a good fighter, Guardian of the Forest." Said Pitch. The time Onceler was distracted by thinking Pitch was down was the time Pitch used to get up and grab his scythe, bringing it above Onceler's head. Onceler didn't seem concerned, though, for whatever reason. It looked like he was expecting it. My eyes widened. He better not die. If he dies, then I am going to personally go to the Underworld and lecture him on why it was stupid to pointlessly sacrifice himself. A glowing green rope circled Pitch's scythe and arm. Flynn was holding a green rope in his hand, smiling. Onceler circled around on his heel and vines surrounded Pitch, holding him tight. Flynn pulled his rope, and a black scythe was pulled from Pitch's hands to Flynn's. "What do you hope to accomplish now?" Asked Pitch. "You'll see." Said Flynn. He went over to Flynn and whispered something. Rapunzel nodded happily. Rapunzel wrapped her hair around Pitch. "What are you trying to heal me from?" Asked Pitch, amusement in his voice. Flynn's aura glowed in the darkness. Rapunzel sang and Pitch's aura glowed black with spots of purple. The dark was absorbed by Flynn and Rapunzel. It seemed as if the darkness was harming them. Flynn fell to the ground, his hands and knees holding him up after his fall. His aura's glow had darkened.
"Get out of here, now! Please!" Said Flynn. He seemed to be trying to hold back the darkness outburst until we got out of the caves. Rapunzel stayed with him. Elsa tried to, but Merida and I pulled her back. Hiccup and Merida looked confused as to why they needed to get out, but didn't question it. Hiccup whistled and Toothless came to him. Jack flew away and Merida teleported out with Elsa and me. I assumed Onceler teleported out in his usual way. Jack came out of the tunnel just as I heard an explosion from underground. Jack had blood on his legs. There would've been a lot of debris from an explosion like that."Guys, you have to go check it out. I saw Flynn and Punzie before the explosion and-" Said Jack. His voice cracked. I saw Elsa's eyes widen, concern in her eyes. She bit her lip. It was obvious-to me, at least-that she had a crush on Flynn. With that explosion, there was the possibility he and Punzie had blown up-but I refused to think about that. "Jack, are there any rocks that could come loose?" Asked Hiccup, his voice calm. "Let me check." Said Jack. He flew in the tunnel quickly and came back out a couple seconds later. "No." Said Jack. "Let's go in the caves." Said Merida. We walked back into the caves. My mouth fell open. "Whoa." Large pillars from the ceiling had come down during the explosion. It looked like a bomb went off. "Guys, I see their body shapes!" Said Hiccup. I looked to where he was pointing and saw their body shapes also. None of the others saw it, apparently. Onceler bent down and touched the ground with his fingers. When he opened his eyes, they were green. I sense their bodies down where Mavis and Hiccup say they are. Let's go." Said Onceler. He blinked and his eyes returned to blue. When we got down to where Flynn and Rapunzel were, I gasped. As I got closer, I saw they weren't moving, their eyes closed. Smiles graced my friends' faces. "Are they-?" Asked Merida gently, her voice thick with emotion. "I don't know." I said. We walked over to our friends. Hiccup leant down and felt for a pulse on Flynn and Punzie.
Author's Note: The next chapters can be long or short. I'm aiming to see how long I can make each chapter within a day. I started this chapter at about nine tonight. Sorry to leave you at a cliffhanger like that! (No, I'm not. Muahahahahahahahaha!) Well, th-th-th-th-th-that's all, folks! *I would be a horrible Porky Pig*
