Chapter 29: Date
"Deeks, maybe we should just stay home and have date night." Kensi suggested not liking the way he was wincing with each movement as he put on his pants.
"No, I need to get out of here Kens. I've been on that couch for three days. I'm going crazy." Deeks said desperate to escape.
"So we can take Monty for a walk on the beach. We don't have to go out." She suggested feeling on edge.
"Stop worrying about me, I'll be fine, really. I just took some pills, they'll kick in soon enough and I'll be fine for the rest of the night." He defended.
Kensi gave him a weary look and bit her lip to keep from saying anything else.
Deeks sighed and rubbed his hands up and down her arms. "Princess, you have to stop worrying over me. I'm going to be okay. I know you're afraid of losing me, but I'm not going anywhere. I have a wedding I'd like to attend." He soothed with a smile. Kensi gave him a small smile, but he could still see the fear and worry in her eyes. Deeks leaned in and pressed his lips to hers and kept them there long enough to comfort but not long enough to stir desire.
"Better?" He asked.
"Better." She answered with a smile.
"Good. I don't want my date being all sappy. We are going to see an action movie after all." He teased with a grin.
"There's romance too, and sadness." Kensi corrected.
"You're right, it is pretty sad to see what they make Effie wear." Deeks said with a grin.
Kensi laughed and lightly hit his shoulder. "Oh, so you got Hunger Games jokes. Okay, I see you. Now I'm gonna start making fun of movies you like, Scotty."
Deeks grinned. "I do like me some Star Trek."
"Hurry up lover boy. I'm going to go start the car."
"Alright. I'll be right behind you. Just gotta throw on my socks and shoes." Deeks shouted after her.
" I do like seeing Team Peeta though." He murmured to himself as he sifted through his drawer for socks.
He grabbed his coat on the way out and patted Monty's head before leaving. "Keep the place safe Monty." He called out.

If Deeks had to pick a favorite moment from the movie it had to have been when Kensi jumped and grabbed his hand squeezing it like a life line. He just loved being close to her and after that scene she'd put the arm rest up and snuggled into his side. His arm wrapped securely around her and her scent permeated his membrane.
In general it'd been a good movie. Kensi claimed it was almost exactly like the book and very detailed. He had to agree that it was definitely way better than the first. He listened as Kensi continuously told him all of the stuff that had been in the book and put into the movie, and became soothed by her voice that he fell asleep in the car on their way to dinner.
"Marty, Marty wake up." She said gently.
"Hmm?" Deeks mumbled disoriented. He blinked his eyes but everything was still blurred. "Where are we?"
"At home."
"What about dinner?" He mumbled his eyes fluttering closed again.
"You need your rest. I picked up Burger King instead."
"Mm." He mumbled getting comfortable again.
"Not yet Marty." Kensi said gently shaking him. "Lets get you in bed first."
"Mmhmm." He mumbled. Kensi helped him get out but it was almost like walking with dead weight. It took longer than usual to get up the stairs but with much effort on Kensi's part they made it up and to the bedroom. Kensi laid him on the bed and stripped off his socks, shoes, and pants and replaced them with a pair of sweats. She opted to leave his shirt on and wrapped the blankets around him.
"Goodnight Deeks." She said softly and gently placed a kiss on his lips before leaving the room to go back out to the car and retrieve the food from the car.

I don't know, is it just me or does that seem like an awkward ending? Idk. Anyways, drop me a review!
