I was in tears at the end. I saw the laptop and yelled "pictures!" I was alone tonight so I shamelessly cried because I know exactly where Kensi is coming from because that's what at I do every night before I go to bed. Only I look at pictures of my best friend and I and not Densi. But she did the exact same thing as me. So it struck a chord and I cried. I wanted to hug him that whole time because he just looked so lost. I'm going to miss the two of them. for those of you who watch Bones and saw the names in the credits, did any of you read Andrew Leeds and say, Pelant? Then freak out when you saw him and wanted to kill him all over again? Maybe it was just me. Anyway, enjoy this chapter and don't forget to review please :)

Chapter 34: Sick

"Deeks." Kensi groaned. After no response for a few seconds Kensi called his name again. "Marty."

He awoke with a start and grabbed for his gun. "Put that thing away." She moaned.

Deeks set the gun down as soon as his nerves settled and turned his attention to Kensi. "What's wrong?" He asked rubbing a hand over his face to try and wake him up.

"My stomach, my head, my everything." She said in extreme discomfort. Another wave of nausea hit and she had just enough time to grab the trashcan beside the bed. Deeks rubbed her back and held her ponytail until she finished and got up to go to her side of the bed.

"What did you have for dinner last night?" He asked trying to figure out why she was so sick.

"The grilled chicken tacos you made."

"That's right. Okay, so it can't be that because we just bought all that stuff fresh last Saturday from the farmer's market." A random thought surfaced and he swallowed. "Kens..." He said just above a whisper.

Her ears were ringing too loud to hear his whisper. "When did you last have your...friend?" He questioned.

"What do you mean my...oh." She said as realization dawned. She strained her brain to think and a memory surfaced. "Two weeks ago. We're good." Deeks released a breath. He wanted kids but he wasn't ready just yet. He wanted to be married for a bit first.

"Maybe it's a cold." He suggested.

"Or a stomach bug." Kensi said reaching for the ginger ale. Not a minute later it came back up burning her throat with bile. Deeks grimaced and grabbed her washcloth to run it through cold water and to retrieve more pepto bismol and Tylenol.

He hoped she would be better soon. Little did he know just how wrong his wish would be.

The call came in at nine forty in the morning. They'd finally been asleep for more than hour and Kensi had finally been able to keep a cracker down. The loud persistent, unanswered ring drummed in his head. He groaned and reached over for his cell. He opened it without looking and answered sleepily, "Hello?"

"You sound like a zombie." It was Callen.

"Been up since five with Kensi. She's been throwing up everything in her system. She's got a low grade fever and she isn't staying asleep for long." Deeks informed through his sleepy haze.

"Sounds like the stomach flu. " Callen said.

"Mm." Deeks replied, his eyes still closed. "So she'll be staying home today while I try to nurse her back to health so you guys aren't two men down."

"Yeah. We'd appreciate that. Tell Kensi we hope she gets better and to call me back and ask me about the Hetty Bot Cam."

"The what?!" Deeks asked, his eyes opening.

"Just pass on the message. Bye Deeks." Callen said with a roll of his eyes hanging up the phone.

"Bye." He replied hanging up his phone and absently trying to put it back on the nightstand.

"Who was that?" Kensi asked with a groan.

"Callen." Deeks replied getting comfortable again.

"Mmm." Kensi replied trying to fall back asleep. It didn't take much effort as soon as Deeks began telling a story again in his semi conscious state. It was about the time he won his first trophy and he fell asleep before he had the chance to finish.
