Alright, lets go, show of hands who saw that SAT phone present coming? I didn't but as soon as Hetty said one other number I flipped and started going crazy. 'Go for Santa?' That brandy clearly works fast on Deeks. I was so happy with Hetty I almost forgot that she separated them in the first place, but at least we have something. There's gonna be a whole lot of new Fanfics come tomorrow bout that scene. Now that's a great Christmas present, that Densi scene? Yes, just yes. Gonna have to watch it again when I'm not squealing above their voices. Lol.

Chapter 36: Back For More

Deeks hadn't looked forward to something this much in six weeks. He was finally able to return to work and Kensi would be by him, much healthier than the previous week when she had the stomach flu.

Everyone's spirits in mission were higher than had been in previous Christmas seasons. Michelle was no longer undercover, Sidorov was gone, Sam was with his kids, Callen was receiving the best sleep he'd had in months, Hetty had received a special gift of tea from Tibet, Eric had the latest version of some game he loved, Nell was going to get to be an elf again with Eric, and Kensi and Deeks...well they had each other and that was the best gift they could have ever gotten.

Deeks woke up extra early so he could go out and surf for the first time in weeks. It was just like riding a bike. As soon as his board hit the water, muscle memory took over and soon he was riding on the wave free as bird, hollering with joy.

Kensi was waiting for him when he returned from his playtime out on the ocean. "Morning." He said happily kissing her.

"I haven't seen you this happy in the morning in months." Kensi noted.

"I can surf again, I'm going back to work with my beautiful partner, and my sexy fiancé just welcomed me home with a kiss. Can't get much better than that." He proclaimed joyously.

"Kensi smiled. "Well, I have to take a shower to get ready but if we hurry we might have time to stop for breakfast." She said hoping he would catch on.

"You mean like conserve water, save the environment that type of thing?" He asked with a grin.

"Yeah, kinda." Kensi replied with a smile and wink.

"Lets do it. I'm totally in. The environment is important. Let me just feed Monty real quick and then I'll be in."

"Alright." Kensi replied walking away with a sway in her hips. Deeks watched the show she put on for him and smiled wide.

"God I love that woman Monty." Deeks said with a smile. Monty just had his tongue dangling out waiting for his food. Deeks quickly dumped the measured food into a bowl and set it down. He ran into the bedroom excited to help the environment.

"Hey! Look who's finally back!" Callen said excitedly holding out his hand and pulling Deeks into a hug. Sam did the same.

"It feels really good to be back. I've missed this place. I've even missed the paperwork." Deeks said nostalgically.

Sam and Callen traded raised eyebrow looks and laughed. "Sounds like you might need to go see Nate." Sam said.

"Why?" Deeks asked.

"You're not sounding like you and you're going crazy. You're nostalgic for paper work. No one is nostalgic about paperwork." Callen explained with a grin. "Stomach flu gone Kens?" He asked.

"Yup. Only some lingering stomach pains." She answered happily.

"Glad to hear it." He responded.

"So are you guys going to the annual Christmas party tonight?" Deeks asked curiously.

"Free food and spiked eggnog? Absolutely." G replied. Sam laughed and shook his head.

"I've got to keep him in line."Sam answered as they looked to him. "You?"

"Yeah!" Deeks replied excitedly.

They all sat down at their desks laughing and catching up, making fun of Deeks until the harbinger sounded.

"A flute now?" Deeks asked mentally scolding the person who bought it for him.

They all marched up to Ops unaware of the brewing Christmas Catastrophe.
