I hope you all will forgive me for cutting out the rest of the mission. I'm sorry. I tried really hard and I couldn't seem to do it. I wanted to write Densi fluff and my brain refused to let me write anything other than this. So to those of you who were interested in the mission plot I may revisit some of it via flashback later on.

Chapter 41: New Years Eve

Deeks kept pacing back and forth in front of his car on the tarmac, stopped, fidgeted, then repeated. He'd been doing it for the past twenty minutes and it was driving him insane. Why wasn't the plane here yet? He just wanted to see her. He didn't care about Sam, Callen, or the Consul General, he probably should have but he didn't. All he cared about was holding his fiancé in his arms and never letting her go ever again.

He should have felt bad about Callen getting shot in the shoulder and the painful flight back home for him but that came with the mission. At least Sam and Kensi had burst in before he was shot in the head and saved the day.

He released a guttural moan of annoyance and impatience and began tapping his foot. "Come on already! It's nearly eleven. New Years is in an hour." He complained. Weren't planes supposed to be a quicker form of travel?

Just then he heard a plane and turned around with a mega watt smile on his face. He waited for it to land and stop then took off running to the door. As soon as the plane door opened he saw Kensi bolt out with a smile matching his. They met in the middle and stopped shortly before colliding. Deeks swept her up in his arms and kissed her. Kensi wrapped her arms around him pulling his face closer to hers. They kissed each other ravenously having been starved of the other for too long until Sam and Callen walked over and commented, "They look like wolves."

Being overjoyed at having been re-united at long last they broke apart laughing joyously. "You're just jealous that you have no one to do this with in an hour." Deeks replied setting Kensi down and lacing their fingers together with a bright smile. "Hey Sam, Kensi and I will take the Consul General to Granger and Hetty back at the office." Deeks said finally feeling the Christmas spirit. He watched as his friend's lips turned up into a grin and he took off running to his car still parked in the parking lot.

"Wait up Sam!" Callen called out glaring at Kensi and Deeks. With his left arm up in a sling he was unable to run without jostling it and causing extreme pain in his shoulder and chest. Callen began walking briskly to ensure he had a ride and wasn't left behind.

Deeks just grinned and turned to look at Kensi. He leaned in and gave her another kiss before they went to retrieve the General from the plane and bring him to the office.

When they finally got home Deeks rushed into the living room and turned on the TV just in time for the countdown that was already at eight. "Kensi hurry!" He called out patting Monty absent mindedly. Kensi came rushing in the front door and met him in the living room. Monty barked excitedly and ran up to Kensi jumping up to kiss her cheek.

"What is it?" She asked alarmed and taken aback by the sudden attack from Monty.

"New Year's kiss baby." Kensi laughed in relief and took a breath petting Monty, until the countdown hit zero and Deeks dipped her and kissed her. She felt herself swooning. No one had ever dipped and kissed her. Her heart swelled and she responded eagerly and happy to be at home in his arms. They began to make their way into the bedroom before Kensi slipped out of his grip. Shocked and confused Deeks stood there not understanding until Kensi walked over to the front door and shut it and locked it up.

She gave Monty a look and said, "Be good and I'll play with you tomorrow." Monty wagged his tail and barked once before going to lay down in his bed.

Deeks looked at her in amazement that she had gotten Monty to go lay down so that they could be together. "You never cease to amaze me Kensi."

"Now, where were we?" She asked walking back over to Deeks.

"I don't know about you but I was just going to go re-unite you with the bed. It's missed you just as much as me."

Kensi laughed and kissed him pulling him into the room. It was the first time in nearly a week that they had been together and they were not going to waste another moment being apart.
