Severus' point of view, six months later:

"How is she?" I asked, standing as soon as Minerva came in.

"Nervous," Minerva admitted.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just normal day jitters," Minerva explained crossing the room to where I stood. "Nothing to be worried about."

"If you knew how many dreams I had about getting stood up today …" I muttered to myself.

"She'll be there." Minerva smoothed out the wrinkles on my robes. "You look handsome. Albus would be proud, you know."

"I wish he was here," I said quietly. Albus had always been a father to me.

"I do too," Minerva said. "He'd love to see how happy you'd be, and to see you be a father."

"How is her morning sickness?" I asked.

"Tolerable," she said. "Madam Pomfrey made sure she'd be feeling well for her big day."

I glanced at the clock. "We'd better get going," I said, a chill ran down my spine. I was getting married today. I was getting married now. Married. The impossible was happening. Albus had been right. He'd told me years ago that I'd be married and move on from Lily, which often told me. I often told him he was a fool. Before I stepped into the room be were to be married in, I made sure my robes were straight.

The small unused classroom we chose to use was decorated with roses, Anna's favorite, and dark red. I hadn't planned with her much, other than made a few requests, like getting married in the castle and having a small wedding with only close friends that made up our family. She agreed, especially since this was her second wedding.

A few chars sat before the alter where we were to be married, where Minerva would officiate. A pang went through me. I wanted Albus to do it; I hadn't missed him this much in a long while. Several of the professors sat in the chairs, including Flitwick and Sprout. I earned warm smiles from all of them as I took my place up front. Light music started when the door opened, bringing my daughter. I had adopted her, and it became official a week ago. She wore a Muggle dress and held three red roses with short steams.

"Daddy!" Karina explained when she saw me and ran toward me.

"Hello, darling." I picked her up as the others chuckled.

"I missed you." She hugged my neck.

"I missed you too." I kissed her cheek.

I looked over her head and my stomach dropped out from under me. Anna walked in. A halo of light shown around her as she walked toward me. Her white dress hung close to her frame, showing off her thickening waist. A smile spread across my face as she approached us. I shifted Karina to my right arm as my bride approached me. Nothing mattered more than these two women that had brought me so much happiness. I took Anna's hand in mine when she came up to me.

"You look handsome today," she said, smiling up to me.

"My daddy is handsome, Mummy," Karina piped up.

Everyone laughed, myself included, as Karina giggled. I handed Karina off to Professor Sprout before I took both of Anna's hands in mine. My lips pulled back farther than the ever had before.

"When I first met you, I had no idea that you'd become more to me than I ever dreamed. Before that, I was a shell of a man, never living. You and Karina brought out a life in me that I hadn't thought possible. Thank you for being my world. I love you," I said to her as a part of my vows. "I promise that I'll always be there for you, take care of you and our children, and protect you. I promise to never leave you lonely."

Tears ran down Anna's cheeks as she took a deep breath. "I never thought I would find love again. Much like you, I didn't have any idea what would hold for us when we met. I love you so much, Severus. I promise to support you during our dark times as well as the good. I'll care for you and our children. I love you."

"I love you," I repeated.

We kissed long and hard when we were pronounced husband and wife. My wife, making me live my life that I never thought possible, that I thought I never would get to have.

"Give me a kiss, Daddy!" I felt a tug on my robe.

I laughed and pick up my daughter. I gave her a quick kiss as we turned to our friends, who offered their congratulations. Minerva flicked her wand, vanishing the chairs and making a table appear. White, short candles were lit and floated through the air as a dark red cloth sat across the table. Our favorite foods were laid out, and people helped themselves. Karina sat in my lap while I sat closely to Anna, our bodies always touching.

When it came time for the cake, Minerva conjured a two tiered cake with the same flowers that decorated the room. I guided Anna's hand as we cut a slice. Using a fork, I lifted a bite to her lips.

"It's delicious. Try some, Severus." She lifted up her own fork.

Feeling a little self-conscious in front of my former colleges, I took the bite. The chocolate tasted delicious.

"Daddy and Mummy, we'd like some too," Karina said.

"I think she's trying to steal our day," Anna teased me.

"As long as this is her only wedding she's a part of," I said darkly.

"Don't go all protective of her, Severus," Anna said, rolling her eyes.

"Of course not," I replied dryly. "The idiot who tries to date her will have to go through a former Death Eater, remember that."

Anna snorted as we sat down with our slices of cake.

"I hope you're planning to share that with her." Anna eyed the cake that Minerva set in front of the two as they sat together.

"Of course," Minerva said, "but she deserves a little bit of sweets, my dear."

"This cake is so good, Mummy!" Karina said as she fed herself a messy bite.

"It is, isn't it?" Anna asked.

"Let's wipe your face," Minerva said with one of the linens in her hand.

The cake was finished, and we continued to talk with our friends.

"I have something to give you before we go," Anna said, pulling out a white envelope. "Open it, please."

"Okay," I said as I took it from her hands.

I opened it and pulled out a picture of a Muggle sonogram. There were to points I didn't recognize, and one was labeled A while the other was labeled B.

"Poppy and I went to get a sonogram," Anna said. "Since wizards don't print pictures, I missed that with Karina's birth, so I got one for the both us of."

"Thank you, Anna." I kissed her gently. "Not sure what I'm looking at."

"I knew he wouldn't recognize what he was looking at," Poppy said gently. "Look at it again, Severus."

"Why … I don't …" I stopped as I looked at the picture more closely. Two spots meant …

"Two babies," I said to myself. "You're having twins."

I looked up in shock, awe, and joy at my wife.

"Yes." Anna brushed away more tears. "Twins. We're having twins, Severus."

"I love you." I leaned forward and kissed her. "More than anything."

"I love you too." Anna smiled as she cupped my face.
