Authors note: Hello. I made this story back when I was in a bad place and reading over it again is pretty embarrassing as an adult. I got an private message from someone asking me to complete this because they were intrigued so what I'll do is go back and rewrite it so its not so...gratuitous.

It'll still be cheesy for sure but here we go.

Prologue

Neru Akita hummed to herself, excitement making her occasionally grin to herself as she brushed out her long blonde hair. She had every reason to be excited seeing how she was finally going on a date with a boy that she had had a crush on since she was in high school- a silly school girl crush she had never thought would come to anything until one day when she had seen him working she had spontaneously asked him to go out with her.

She had honestly felt bad immediately for putting him on the spot by asking him on a date especially since he was at work and she herself had been asked out multiple times well working before and all it did was give her headaches and make her hate working in customer service- but he had shockingly asked for her to come back after his shift so he could think about it and give her an answer away from his prying coworkers.

Neru had thought that he might give be saying this to be nice and turn her down away from other people, she wouldn't have even been mad if he had but she really did end up going back to the cafe he worked at a few hours later to find him waiting at a table where upon seeing her he stood up and smiled offering to get her a latte then when they were sat again her sipping at the drink he agreed to go out on a date with her.

It was almost embarrassing how she had immediately called her friends to tell them about her impromptu confession basically- it was even more embarrassing how she had mentally prepared and planned for every part of the date in her head; First they would go to a restaurant, a small one so it wouldn't be to loud and she could relish in whatever they talked about. Next they would stop by to get crepes for desert; they would eat well walking to the pier to watch the sunset then hopefully share a kiss.

Hell if it went super well she would take him back home and they could continue in her little shared apartment. Whether that meant watching a movie cozied up next to each other or asking her roomies to ditch the apartment ASAP depended on how everything went.

Styling her hair in her signature side ponytail but accented with a ribbon to make herself look a bit cuter then usual. Neru again felt embarrassed; she never acted like this or has ever planned out a date before but GOD she was just so excited. So excited in fact that she had made her roommates help her pick out her outfit for the date; A short tight black skirt that had a yellow frill that barely showed on the bottom and a off the shoulder criss crossed top that covered her up but showed off her collar bones that had a gold necklace adorning the open space- not to cutesy and not to sexy.

She felt proud of her cute/sexy/casual look that once she pulled on her tall boots Neru posed for herself in the mirror- then realized that she was missing something...oh crap she didn't have her lucky bracelet. A thin bracelet with a little charm on it that she always wore whenever she wanted the day to go well. She gave a quick glance around then realized that it wasn't in its usual spot.

Well...heck she guessed it didn't really matter, she was in to good of a mood to think about it. God she was acting way to giddy. Continuing to act giddy despite chastising herself for acting like a school girl with a crush (which to be fair she was basically one) she whisked her purse up and yelled a 'see you later- or not' to her roommates that all hooted at how she looked making her feel even more confident with herself as she left the shared apartment.

Taking 2 steps at a time she quickly descended down the apartment steps and stepped out the exit door and onto the sidewalk. Turning around the corner she started towards her own little shortcut to the bus that only she and her friends knew about- well that she eluded herself that they were the only ones that did. Moving to behind a tall bush that lined the fence which in turn lined the apartment she stepped through missing slants that were defiantly kicked out by people not wanting to walk around the whole complex just to get to the bus stop.

Humming to herself again once she stepped into the little alley that was made up of another apartment and the fence of hers she adjusted herself then started walking, the sun peeking out and warming her face as she walked down the narrow alley. It was kind of creepy looking but nothing to bad, it never really bothered Neru since the crime rate wasn't that high given it was a mostly college student area.

Stepping out of the alley way and onto the sidewalk Neru paused, feeling a sudden chill she glanced back behind her feeling the hair on the back of her neck rise up despite now being covered in the warm sunlight that basked the road and side walk. She almost yelped when she saw someone else in the alleyway, she definitely jumped. How did she not here them?

Neru was about to take off since hey, that was really creepy, but she realized who it was once the person lifted their hood up her gold eyes meeting their blue ones.

"Hey Neru- I totally just scared you didn't I?" A sweet sounding voiced chimed out followed by a laugh.

"Jesus Rin you look creepy as hell right now" Neru said taking in the slightly taller girl appearance, uncharacterically in a dark hoodie and pants making her seem fitting with the alley.

"I know right? I'm in some of old clothes since I was helping clean up the park." Rin said shrugging then gave Neru her signature sweet smile, "Anywho, What are you up to? You look super nice today."

Neru hesitated before pushing stray hair that framed her face behind her ear, "I'm heading out to a date dummy, I already told you about it on the phone remember?" she replied not really wanting to have this conversation since she felt a bit awkward given Rin hadn't stepped out of the alley yet, kinda weird, plus she just wanted to be on her way.

"Oh right! That was today wasn't it?" Rin said immediately sounding and looking flustered, "I totally forgot- will you be okay without your special bracelet? I feel bad I haven't given it back to you yet."

It took Neru a solid moment, what? How did she know she didn't have it. Oh well...she guessed she wasn't wearing it after all. "ah...well its a bit late now, its fine really" Neru said waving her hands in front of her trying to show it was okay. She must have let Rin borrow it for one of her tests or something; and knowing Rin she would be feeling awful that she hadn't given it back for her date.

"How long do you have till you have to be there? If you want we can go to my place real quick and I can run up and grab it for you." Rin said sounding hopeful.

"I don't know.." Neru began pulling her phone out of her purse to glance at the time. Well, she was running early it looked like, she must have been too excited.

Neru glanced at Rin again who looked like she felt bad about it, well...there was time and she would probably feel better about having her bracelet during the date. She WAS wearing it when she had asked him and look how that had started out? "You know what sure lets go." Neru said giving her a smile.

"Great! Lets cut through here- its kinda a weird path but its a shortcut back to my place." Rin said motioning for her to come back into the alley. Neru stepped back in she hadn't known that this could lead to Rin's place she would've used it to get to her flat every time she went over.

Rin waited for Neru to get closer before she started walking down running her fingers along the wooden fence lightly, making Neru notice that she was wearing what looked like heavy duty gloves. Right when Neru thought they were going to go back onto the road Rin turned down another slightly smaller walk way that had two tall brick buildings on both sides and that had trash cans in it.

Nevermind Neru would NOT have walked down here to get to Rin's place.

"So...how did you get him to agree to go out with you?" Rin asked not looking at Neru.

Rin's tone sounded off slightly, making Neru glance at her back, "what do you mean?" I just asked." she answered.

Rin stopped suddenly making Neru bump into her back and teeter back trying to catch her footing before she fell over. "SHIT! Man I ruined my skirt" Neru at first shrieked then groaned feeling the grimy ground under her hands, "Dammit Rin why did you stop-"

Neru stopped her sentence short as she looked up from her knees seeing Rin peering down at her, her blue eyes looked cold making her throat close up suddenly.

"No. You must've forced him to agree, he would never have agreed otherwise. You know how he is Neru. So. How did you make him agree? Did you threaten him? Did you promise to sleep with him?" They didn't sound like questions- how Rin asked made them sound more like statements.

Neru was so taken aback that she gapped at her, jaw open showing how shocked she was. What...was this about? Why was Rin acting like this? Why would she even say something like that? Rin had been so happy for her the other night and now she was acting like a whole other person as she glared down at her from under the hood.

It made her feel scared.

Rin waited patiently for her response, after a long heavy pause she realized she wasn't going to get one so she glanced away from her and to the ground. She leaned down picking up a plastic bag that held Chinese takeout in it before she dumped the contents of it out onto the ground, leaving her with an empty plastic bag. Her eyes went back to Neru who had just watched her do this utter confusion filling her gold eyes.

"Well? Neru? How." Rin asked again.

"I...I...what? I never forced him to do anything." Neru stammered, usually she would have snapped but she was just so confused by Rin's actions she could barely get the words out much or less raise her voice.

"..." Rin tilted her head, a shiver went down Neru's spine before Rin gave her a smile, "I'm just joking."

Rin offered her the hand that wasn't holding the plastic bag out to Neru offering to help her stand up, which Neru just stared at. It hadn't seemed like she was joking and honestly it made her so freaked out that she wanted to dip out of there immediately.

"Really, I was just joking. Come on, you can wash at my place." Rin said coaxing her with her sweet voice to take her hand, but her eyes...still seemed cold.

"I...uh..I think I'll actually just head back to my place." Neru replied as she pushed off of the ground helping her stand quickly ignoring the hand Rin still had stretched out. "I'll just head back now..."

"What about your bracelet? Don't you want it?" Rin asked quizzically.

"No its fine." Neru said as she turned and quickly started fast walking down the alley- that chill still spreading up her spine.

She heard a heavy footsteps and glanced back seeing Rin was following her, keeping pace. It startled her so bad that Neru had noticed a trash bag that never made it into the can too late to side step it, making her slip on the plastic and crash onto the grimy ground once again.

As soon as she had fallen Rin was upon her- grabbing her by her hair retching it out of the side ponytail and straddling her back keeping her pinned on the ground with her weight not allowing her to get away. Neru felt fear spike through her, "Fuck- Rin wha-" she began to yell out before her words were cut off by unforgiving plastic as Rin pulled the plastic bag over her face.

Neru immediately thrashed under Rin's weight, her legs kicking and back bucking to force her off- unsuccessfully. At first her hands clawed at Rin's, her nails that she had done up so prettily catching on the thick fabric of the gloves Rin was wearing not allowing her to scratch at her which she had hoped would make her let go in pain.

Desperate now that she felt her chest tighten even more from the utter panic and lack of breath she started trying to claw at the bag- the stupid fucking bag wouldn't rip! God why wouldn't it rip?! Neru was panicking even more now and she thrashed around desperately, her hands clawing wildly at the bag and around it accidentally scratching her face when her fingers slipped over the slick plastic and making her elbows grind against the concrete opening up cuts in her elbows.

Rin kept a tight grip on the plastic bag forcing it even harder against her mouth and nose not allowing any air to be let in to relieve Neru's screaming lungs. Rin was bowed over slightly, her elbows pinning the back of Neru's shoulders as she lost more strength allowing her to have more control as the thrashing under her started turning into spasms, the muffled screaming turning into desperate wheezing for air that Rin wouldn't allow in.

The weaker Neru got the more her upper body was forced into the ground well her neck was wretched up from the pressure that Rin had on the bag, tears streamed down her face feeling the suffocating pain of not being able to breath before she passed out her body going limp and hands falling to the ground.

Rin held the bag there a few more moments before she let go letting Neru's head hit the ground with a thud. She reached over to the discarded purse Rin fished her phone out; then adjusted herself to press one of Neru's fingers to the unlock button.

Rin remained on her back as she went to the messages, seeing a open chat.

"Sorry I'll be running a bit late, can't wait to see you!" she sent before closing out of it and going to her clock app opening up the timer. she sat a timer for 3 minutes before placing the phone on the ground and tightening the bag back around Neru's face bending over her more to make sure that no air could get in at all as she watched the seconds on the timer go down.

She had to make sure that Neru didn't wake up afterall.

As her blue eyes watched the timer, quietly counting down with it she saw a notification pop up on the screen.

"Alright I'll see you when you get here :)"

Rin smiled softly at it as the timer flashed under the notification showing that 3 minutes had passed

"Awh...My Len is just so sweet"

Alrighty so that's the prologue updated, I'll put (updated) next to every chapter that I rewrite
