Hey guyzzz, sorry for my absence, exams have been a bitch. So enough rambling and on to the story!
Chapter 6: Detention
Lucy opened her eyes slowly, feeling the warmth of the rising sun beat on her through the window. She yawned and stretched her back, afterwards she attempted to stand up before she noticed she was held in place from a dead weight. Lucy's heart dropped. Her eyes wide, Lucy slowly looked down to see the young and handsome man of Natsu still asleep on her lap.
'Shit.' She thought to herself, she then glanced over to the clock on her wall, her mouth dropped this time.
"Natsu! Get up! We are so late for school!" Lucy stood straight up, making him fall off and on to the floor. He grumbled something before opening his sleepy eyes. He then shot straight up, looking around in bewilderment.
"The hell!? Why am I still here!?" Lucy rushed past him and into her bathroom, not wanting to get dressed in front of him, she shoved her uniform on and ran back out, gathering her stuff.
"You fell asleep and wouldn't get up and I accidently fell asleep too, now we're gonna be late!" Lucy cried, rushing to her kitchen to get an apple, tossing one over to Natsu while he proceeding to stare at her like an idiot.
"Isn't it Saturday?" Lucy stopped in her tracks, thinking before she growled, shoving on her shoes. "Tomorrow's Saturday." She sighed, waiting for him to get up and put on his coat, he didn't really have to do anything since he fell asleep in his uniform besides fix his already crazy hair to look less crazy.
Lucy watched him in envy, sometimes she wished to be a guy- Lucy shuddered at the thought and shook her head, walking out the door with Natsu.
"You guys are late. There's only five minutes left of class you morons!" Macao yelled, throwing a book at them, which flew directly into Natsu's face, making Gray and some other guys chuckle silently in the back of the room.
"We all know what they were doin." A guy named Cobra murmured in the back, causing another fit of laughter, Natsu merely glared at the guys while Lucy blushed, feeling misunderstood. Macao then smiled, grabbing out a paper.
"Guess where you guys are gonna be spending the rest of your Friday." He smiled politely, Lucy groaned, Natsu frowned, "Come on Macao! I have places to be after school." Macao stared at him, a smirk sliding up his face. "Such as?" Natsu scratched the back of his head, thinking of an excuse to use.
"That's what I thought, you guys have a detention after school in my room. No whining- now go sit down with what little time we have left of this class." Lucy slumped her shoulders and slugged to her desk, giving Levy an apologetic look.
She and Levy were gonna go to the new bookstore that had a cafe in it, but now, her plans were shattered because of her idiocy. Natsu trekked to his desk unfazed, smacking the back of Gray's head when he walked by, causing him to growl and rub his head.
"Ughhh! I'm so sorry Levy!" Lucy whined during their Chemistry class. Levy only glanced at her, giving her a quick smile before going back to the animal they were dissecting during their lab today. "It's okay. You're only gonna be in there for an hour anyways, I can wait, Gajeel can keep me company." Lucy smiled, hugging her best friend, "You're the best Levy!" Levy smiled. " I know."
"So it's just you and Natsu in there aye?" Laxus asked from the table next to them, he and Gajeel were lab partners and they sucked at dissection. You would've thought they would enjoy it but they were acting like little girls. Lucy sighed, frowning at the buff blonde.
"Yeah, so?" Gajeel snickered at her, "Make sure you guys don't do anything funny." Lucy blushed and glared at him. "We were just late! That's all!" She yelled, attracting attention from other students. "Could you guys calm down?" One of their students, Lyon muttered over to them. Lucy lowered her head to the small animal, glaring a hole into it.
"But what was he staying over at your place for? Even after your little tutoring session was over with?" Laxus whispered over to her. Lucy grumbled while Levy threw an eraser at them. "Get back to work you little sissies." Levy spoke softly, leaving the two men to stare at the thing in disgust.
"Detention? With Natsu?" Erza asked during last period, it was the only class Lucy had with her and it was cooking ed. Today they were making, or attempting, any soup of their liking. Lucy was making one of her mother's soups while Erza... She didn't know what Erza was doing.
"Yeah, it's such a bummer. My first detention at this school only in two months." Lucy mumbled, Erza watched her while she on the other hand did not pay attention to how much seasoning she was pouring into her soup. Lucy caught onto this, "Erza, your soup!" Erza turned over, horrified. The two stared at hers and Lucy's soup.
"Erza, why is your soup black?" The teacher, Obaba-san questioned in worry. "Uhh.." Erza fumbled with the spoon in her hand. "Erza, how are you going to become a good wife if you can't even make a good soup?" Erza laughed softly at the idea before Obaba-san walked off to observe other students soups.
Lucy watched in horror as the curious Erza scooped some soup in her spoon and tried it. Erza dropped the spoon. "E-Erza?" Erza looked over to Lucy in shock.
"This soup... Is amazing." And that's how Erza ended up with an A+ in cooking ed that day.
"Okay, now that you two are here, I want no talking, sleeping, phones out, books, nothing. Kapeesh?" Macao instructed from behind his desk. Natsu leaned back in his chair, frowning. "Then what the hell are we gonna do?" Macao smirked and crossed his arms. "Exactly, that's the point. You're just gonna sit so 'til I say otherwise." Natsu turned his head, grumbling.
Lucy sighed and laid her head on the desk, she was over thinking herself. What could she and Natsu possibly do during detention, the thought brought a little warmth to Lucy's cheeks as she scolded herself for thinking such things.
"Lucy, you'd better not be trying to fall asleep." Lucy lifted her head up and stared at him while stared back at the two of them. This went on for about thirty minutes until Macao's phone started ringing, he picked it up and smiled once he noticed it was his wife calling. He answered and stepped outside with a smug look on his face.
"Dirty old hag couldn't wait 'til he got home huh." Natsu scoffed, Lucy turned her head to him just because he happened to say something, that's all. She watched him shuffle his "beloved" scarf around his neck to put it in a more comfortable position.
Natsu then turned his head to Lucy, making her flinch. "Why didn't you wake me up yesterday." He asked, annoyed. Lucy growled, "I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't-" Lucy yelled but was stopped by Natsu's hand covering her mouth, him putting a finger to his lips and shushing her.
Macao peaked at them through the door window before shaking his head, walking off to continue his "talk" with his wife elsewhere. Natsu smiled, shooting up, the warmth of his hand leaving Lucy.
"Sweet! The ole' man left, c'mon Lucy, let's ditch!" Natsu cheered, Lucy shuffled off her chair after him," Wait Natsu!" She caught onto his wrist and he turned around to look at her, " We can get into even more trouble than we're already in if we ditch detention." Natsu stared at her until the two heard talking.
Natsu peaked out from the door and cursed. "Shit, Macao's coming down from the hall!." He whisper yelled. The two panicked and scrambled to turn around, only for Natsu to fall strait on top of Lucy, pinning her to the ground.
Their eyes widened, while he continued to stare at her, the area getting very silent. Lucy's face got hot, he was so close, and why wouldn't he move already!? She could only hear the faint pounding of her chest and- footsteps!
Lucy scrambled from under him, only to make him loose his placing, his broad chest squeezing against her boobs. She immediately whacked him off and scrambled back to her seat.
"Okay honey, I'll see you when I get home." Macao chuckled as he walked back into the room. He stared at the two strangely, an awkward silence dense in the air. The two teens looking straight down at their desk. Natsu's hands were firmly on his lap and Lucy supported her face with her hands and leaned on the desk by her elbows, staring down in deep concentration.
"Umm, since you guys only have about five minutes left, I'll let you off the hook... Only because my wife is making a fine dessert for me when I get home." Macao looked up to nothing in a dreamy state.
Natsu shot up and walked straight out the room after muttering that Macao was crazy. Lucy slowly stood up, still staring at the ground, grabbing her bag and walking out, dazed. Macao just stared as she turned the corner.
"Teens these days." Macao shrugged to himself.
"Lu-chan? Why is your face so red, are you okay?" Levy asked upon further inspection at the bookstore/cafe. Lucy smiled, hiding her face even more behind her book. "Uh- yeah, I was just feeling a little hot." Levy stared at her until shrugging, drawing back to her amazing book that she just purchased.
Lucy stared at the pages of her book intently, but she couldn't read a thing. She could only think back to the close proximity of their faces, and when Natsu pressed against her. Lucy felt like she had steam sizzling of her head and she shook her head.
She was going to enjoy this book, without any distraction!... Lucy groaned and flopped her head on the table.
