BTW: I don't own Fairy Tail, if I did, you guys already know that all the characters would be couples by the start.
Chapter 8: Soccer Tournament Drama
part 1
I was horrible out.
Like, it was freezing, but the sun was high in the sky so if you sat in one spot for too long, you'd become icy-hot or so Cana like to call it. You may be wondering what is going on, well, it's game day for Fairy Tail Academy and an all day soccer tournament was being held.
Lucy was honestly, very reluctant to come. First of all, because it's a Saturday, and second of all she didn't want to be freezing and burning at the same time. But Natsu and Levy would not shutup and stop asking her, so here she is.
"Ugh... I could be at home right now watching a movie, or reading a book." Lucy complained for the who-knows-time today. Cana smiled, swinging her arm around Lucy. "And that's why we brought you out here, stop acting like a boring girl that probably takes shits on a schedule."
"I have no idea what you meant by that last part, and I'm just going to ignore it too." Lucy sighed, watching to boys practice for their third game that day. She did have to say that the academy did have a good taste in uniforms, a good solid red uniform with the school emblem and some nice gold detail too.
She noticed, it fit the guys nicely, especially Natsu.
The team they were going against was actually, their rival's, Raven Tail. Their uniform were dark burgundy and black, if Lucy didn't know any better, she'd say they were trying to copy Fairy Tail.
Just before the game was about to start, Erza and Levy, along with Lisanna and Mira came back from the concession stand, "Here, I got you some hot chocolate." Levy handed Lucy the warm drink which she took with pleasure.
"Ugh, Levy you're a life savior!" Lucy cheered as Levy only smirked crossing her arms, "I know." She spoke confidently.
The ref blew the whistle and the game started without hesitation. Natsu, Gray, and Jellal were starting forward, while Sting, Rouge, and Cobra were defense, and of course, Gajeel was the goalie. He was perfect at that position and Lucy was pretty sure he was going to get a scholarship next year. Many scouts have already come to see him and let's just say he left them all with some good reports.
Gray just stole the ball from the other team's player, Juvia could be heard shouting in joy by the bench, Juvia was the team manager and also trainer incase any of them got hurt; Wendy was a trainer too, even though she was just a freshman she was very good, Lucy did remember Wendy saying something about becoming a doctor when she got older.
The guys had already scored their third goal on them and Lucy yet again stood up with the rest of the crowd to cheer, as she stood, she felt something warm fall on her back. She gasped when she found out what it was, the girls behind her snickered.
"Oh no. I'm sooo sorry about that." The girl that had dropped her nachos with just about every single topping on it, apologized, but Lucy could tell she was just being sarcastic.
"Hey now!" Cana yelled at the girl, Erza placed her arm on Cana's back as she attempted to console her some. "That was very rude and immature, if you have nothing better to do than act childish then you shouldn't be here at this game." Erza said to the group of girls behind them.
"Geez, I said I was sorry." The girl gave an annoyed look on her face as she flipped her red hair behind her shoulder. "You should be." Mira frowned at them, "Was she talking to you?" The brunette girl next to the redhead spat at Mira. "Who do you think you're talking to!?" Lisanna yelled at the girl, the third girl, with golden hair scoffed at Lisanna. "Obviously not you." The girls laughed and Cana grabbed the blonde t her collar. "Watch it, missy."
"You guys, you guys. It's okay, she apologized." Lucy placed her hand on Cana. Cana turned her head to her in disbelief, "That was anything but an apology! Want me to beat one out of her?" Lucy shook her head. "No, it's okay, I'm just gonna go clean this off, it's only on my jacket anyways."
"I'll come with you." Levy said as she followed Lucy off the bleachers.
"Man, I can't believe they did that, it was completely uncalled for!" Levy fumed as she and Lucy cleaned off her jacket, then putting it under the blow-dryer. "I've noticed them giving you dirty looks lately too." Levy added, Lucy shrugged, "Well, I don't know what their reason is because I haven't done anything to them, I don't even know who they are."
"They're probably just jealous of you." Lucy eyed Levy strangely as they rubbed her jacket, there was a little stain but it was a lot better than before. "Jealous of what?" Levy looked up at Lucy from her jacket, she smiled and opened her mouth, "Jealous of-"
"Oh? Well look who it is." Levy sighed and the two girls turned their heads to the entrance of the bathroom where the culprits stood. "Speak of the devil, we were just talking about you." Levy joked at them, the redhead who Lucy assumed to be the leader of the threesome curled her lip with an annoyed grimace.
"Listen, we're not here to talk to you, shorty. We're here for her." Lucy crunched her eyebrows, "What do you want?" Lucy was starting to lose her patience with these girls. The redhead crossed her arms as she leaned against the wall.
"We have a little advice for you if you don't want your situations to become worse." Levy and Lucy looked at each other before looking back at the three girls. "Yeah, if you want your high school life to go smoothly you better listen up." The blonde said with a snicker.
The bathroom was silent for a moment and the long pause was very uncomfortable for Lucy and Levy.
"Stay away from Natsu."
Lucy blinked. Once, then twice. "...What?" The brunette frowned at her. "Are you dumb? We said stay away from him, trying to become all friendly with him when Ana already had her eyes on him first!"
"Wait, who's Ana?" Lucy asked, honestly confused. The redhead glared at her, "I am." Lucy shrugged her jacket back on slowly as she grabbed her purse from the side of the sink. "Okay, I know you may think Natsu and I have something going on-"
"We know." The brunette interrupted her as the other two girls nodded their head. Lucy eyed them for interrupting her, "Like I was saying, we have nothing going on with each other, 'kay? We're just friends."
"Bull shit, we see you trying to make a move on him sometimes. It's sickening." The blonde snarled at her. Lucy growled at them, Levy placed her hand on Lucy's shoulder. "Come one Lucy, they're not worth it. Let's get back and watch the match." Lucy sighed, nodding as the two girls made their way out the bathroom where the girls were standing.
"Where do you think you're going? We aren't done with you." Ana barked, grabbing Lucy's arm.
"Haaah? What the hell!?" Cana stood by Levy and grabbed Ana's shoulder, yanking her away from Lucy. "What did I just tell you girls? Did I not say to get lost?" Cana grabbed Ana by her collar, Ana glared at Cana as she shoved herself out of her grip.
"Whatever, come one girls." The three girls glared at Lucy for a moment, "You better listen to our advice, or else." She simply stated before they walked out. Lucy, Levy, and Cana watched them walk off before Cana turned to Lucy.
"What the hell was that?" Lucy shrugged as they walked out, heading to the bleachers. "The girls are trying to bully Lucy because they think her and Natsu have something going on." Levy said with a bit amusement, Cana turned her head to Lucy, a brow lifted. "Ya'll don't?" Lucy gave Cana a shocked expression, shaking her head.
"No! Besides, what are you doing over here anyways? Don't you have to pee or something?" Cana placed her hands behind her head, shrugging. "I came to check on you guys to see what was taking so long." She said as they got back to the bleachers where Erza and the rest waited for her.
"What happened?" Lisanna asked, "Those bitches followed Lucy and Levy into the bathroom and confronted Lucy about Natsu." Mira laughed in surprise. "This all over Natsu!?" Mira had to hold her laugh in. Lucy placed her hand on her hips, "Yeah, supposedly I'm making moves on Natsu and they don't like it."
"If they have anything to say to Natsu, can't they just tell him?" Erza asked, clearly confused. Lucy shrugged, "Ana, the redheaded chick told be to back off because Natsu was hers or something like that."
"Well, we're not gonna let anything happen to you as long as we're around." Erza simply said before turning her head back to the game, she was wearing a jersey with Jellal's number on it and wanted the world to know she was, so she was sitting without a jacket on and Lucy thought it was sweet but also thought Erza should put her jacket back on.
"Good job boys! We gotta get out of this tie and win okay!" Juvia cheered as they walked to the bench, grabbing towels and the water bottles Juvia and Wendy supplied with. "Man, we're getting nowhere with them, it's so annoying." Natsu sighed as he wrapped a towel around his neck.
"Yeah, they seemed to have improved since our last game with them, I heard they got some new players that were really good." Gray sat down on the bench while Juvia gave her precious Gray a calve massage.
"Yeah, that number ten is really good, what was his name again? Like Danny or something?" Sting questioned, Gajeel shrugged while he took off his mouth guard, squirting water into his mouth.
"Gajeel!" The guys all turned their head to Levy who was standing by the fence of the bleachers. Gajeel walked over to her and they watched as the couple started chatting away.
"Here comes Erza, see you guys, I'll be back once I'm done giving her love." Jellal joked as the other men grimaced. "Nobody needs to hear that." Natsu groaned as he sat down on the bench next to Gray.
"Some chicks are out for Lucy?" Levy nodded, "Yeah, they think she's trying to make a move on Natsu or something and dumped some nachos on her." Gajeel bursted out laughing, "What!? Seriously! Man I wish I was there to see it!" Gajeel laughed as he wiped a tear from his eye. Levy frowned and smacked his arm. "Gajeel! This is serious, they're threatening her."
"Then do something about it. Erza, Mira, and Cana are some pretty tough chicks." Levy nodded, "Yeah, Cana already tried to start a fight twice."
"Sounds like her. Well, babe I gotta go, we're about to get back onto the field." Levy nodded and he leaned over the fence and kissed her. "Okay, catch some balls for me." Gajeel gave her a weird look. "That sounded so weird." Levy blushed slightly, "You know what I meant!"
"Hey Natsu, supposedly some chicks are into you." Natsu just looked at Gajeel as they walked out to the field. "Well that's nothing new." Gajeel smiled, "But this time they're tryna' attack your girl."
"My what?-Who's my girl!?" Natsu asked with confusion. "Supposedly some girls dumped some nachos on Lucy and threatened her to stay away from you." Natsu's cheeks felt a little hot. "Wh- Lucy's not my girl!?" Gajeel shrugged before heading over to the net.
Natsu looked over to the bleachers where Lucy sat, she caught him looking and smiled, waving and giving him a thumbs up. Natsu smiled before turning his head back to the game, Raven had the ball and the ref blew the whistle, the ball flew up and the game started again.
A/N: Yeah, this is going to have two parts, first the girl drama and next will be some drama with some Raven guys.
