Soccer Tournament Drama
Part 2
"Great game boys! Even if you did tie, you guys did get 20 points first so in my eyes, you still won!" Juvia cheered to the angry players. The boys just sighed.
"I can't believe it... To Raven? We always beat them!" Natsu growled, the other guys seemed to sulk with him and Juvia sighed. "It's not like you lost or anything."
"You can pretty much consider it a loss if you tie against Raven." Gajeel groaned, drinking some water. Juvia frowned, shaking her head and placing her hands on her hips. "Well, you guys aren't playing in the next game since it's two different teams, how about you guys get up and cope with the fact that nobody's perfect and you won't always win, it's life. Deal with it."
"Yes Ms. Lockser. Will do so." Jellal chuckled as he stood up, tossing his sweaty towel to her which she dropped in disgust. "I'm about to head over to the concession stand, I am dying for one of those pickles." Sting grimaced as he got up and stretched. "Who the hell likes pickles." Rogue got up and started following Jellal. "Me." He stated simply.
"Fuck pickles, I want a popscicle." Gray yelled a little too loudly as people on the bleachers either looked at him strangely or laughed.
"Gonna go see my girl friend." Gajeel sang as he hopped over the benched rather skillfully and began running to where Levy was sitting. "I need something spicy..." Natsu muddered as he got up, scratching his belly while walking away.
"You guys can't just leave me here to pick up after your mess!" Juvia yelled as the rest of the team memebers up and left as well. Juvia sighed as she started organzing the equiment and started picking everything up. Wendy wasn't with her right now because she was attending to a player that got injured and the coach left just as quickly as the boys did.
"Juvia, need some help?" Juvia looked up to who her savior was. Lucy smiled over to her from where she was at the bleachers. "Please!?" Juvia laughed as Lucy climbed over the railing, heading over to her.
"I just need you to help me bring these bottles and towels to the back of the concession stand, we need to move out as quickly as possible so the other teams can start their game." Lucy nodded and began icking up the crate of water bottles while Juvia grabbed the towels.
They made their way off the field just before the other teams started entering and started heading through the large crowd to the back of the stand. Lucy and Juvia talked along the way and Lucy wasn't exactly paying attention to her surroundings.
She crashed into someone, falling to the ground, the bottles flying out the crate. "Ugh, hey-" A hand interrupted her, she took it and the stranger helped her up.
"Sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention. The name's Dan." Lucy reached back down to put the bottles back in the crate before picking it up. "No, it was my- hey, aren't you from Raven?" Once Lucy got the chance to look at him, she remembered seeing him on the field. He was very good.
"Yep, this is my first year there infact. I just moved here." Lucy stood next to Juvia and gave him a polite smile. "Th-that's nice." Dan smiled at her rather charmingly, grabbing a strand of her hair. "May I ask of this beautiful lady's name?" Lucy and Juvia glanced at each other before looking back at him awkwardly.
"Lucy?"
"Well Lucy, may I have your number?"
"What the hell? What's that dude from Raven doing with Lucy and Juvia?" Gray asked in disdain, the boys in line all spun their heads to where he was looking.
"Ew, what the hell?"
"Yeah, I heard that dude was a major ladies man."
"Like Loke?"
"Yeah."
"Is he flirting with them?
"Looks like it."
"Hey, he's that bitch who sent one of our dudes to the infirmary."
"Oohp? He's making a move on Lucy."
"Goin' in for the kill?"
"The manwhore just grabbed her hair!"
"Hahaha! You see their faces!?"
"Hey, Natsu, where you going?"
"Aw shit, here we go again."
Natsu marched up to Dan and the girls in contempt, grabbing Dan's hand away from Lucy. "Ah, Natsu?"
"Dude, what the hell?" Dan smiled, putting his hands up in a surrendering action. "Hey, I didn't know she was taken." Natsu and Lucy both basically choked on their own spit.
"Taken!?" Lucy was taken offguard. First by those girls and now by some guy? Why does everyone think they're dating?
"No, we're not- I mean-"
"Then what are you making a big deal out of?" Dan asked in disinterest, the girls glanced over to Natsu as well. "Damn! Don't just put me on the spot like that! You see she's not interested, so don't touch her." Lucy watched Natsu, her eyes widened slightly before she looked to the ground.
Dan and Natsu watched each other in distaste for a bit longer before Dan sighed. "Well, I'll catch you later Lulu-chan, this is not the last you'll see of me." He winked before walking off.
"... Lulu...-chan?" Juvia almost fell over crying in laughter at the name. "Hey! It's not like I asked him to call me that!" Lucy yelled a Juvia, her face cherry red. As she continued to glare at the dying bluennette, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Natsu?" Lucy turned her head to see Natsu looking at her sternly. "Make sure you stay away from that dude, I get a bad vibe from him." Lucy bit her lip and huffed. "What are you, my mother now?" Natsu nodded and headed back to the line with his awaiting friends before Lucy could do anything.
She sighed and turned back to Juvia, who was now only in a fit of giggles. "Are you finished?" Lucy asked as Juvia wiped a tear from her eye. "Y-yeah... I think so. Let's keep going." Juvia sniffled as she tried to keep it in.
Once the two finally placed the equipment behind the concession stand, Juvia straightened up, stretching. "Unghh. That was actually starting to get kinda heavy." Lucy nodded, loosening her arms.
"Yeah, that usually happens after you cary something for too long." Juvia glanced at Lucy for a moment, soon staring. Lucy turned her head to Juvia, "What?"
"You don't happen to like anyone do you?" Lucy stared at Juvia, the silence becoming a little tense. "Where'd that question come from, of course I don't." Juvia shrugged, looking away for a quick moment. "Just... Don't make any moves on Gray okay? He's mine."
Lucy blinked.
"Haah!? Why would you think I like him? He's only a friend." Lucy stated with a nod, crossing her arms. Juvia wiggled in her place, "Well, I make it a thing to make sure with the girls he's close with." Lucy smirked at Juvia, nudging her arm.
"A little possesive are we?" Juvia blushed at the statement, scowling at Lucy. "Well I'm not the only one! Doesn't Natsu seem to be it with you too?"
Lucy blinked again.
"Umm, what?" Juvia sighed placing her hands on her hips.
"I mean, he does seem to be a little over-protective of you, you should be abl to notice if all of us can." Lucy's cheeks turned pink. "I-It's only because he's a good friend! He just looking out fo me is all." It was Juvia's turn to smirk. "If ya say so, but I'm catching some pretty good vibes between you two. Have you ever considered one of you maybe liking each other?"
Lucy leaned away from Juvia, but she just leaned in more with a teasing grin.
"No, Natsu's just a friend and that's final." Lucy crossed her arms and turned away. It became a little too silent and Lucy turned her head around to check on Juvia. Juvia blankly stared at her, unconvinced.
"I'm serious!" Lucy shot back around, "Like, it's not like I'm with him 24/7 and I haven't been here long enough to know him!" Juvia clicked her tongue. "Oh Lucy, Lucy. You know what they say about love, don't you? Time doesn't matter when you fall inlove, it just happens." Juvia looked up to the sky with a dreamy look.
Lucy sighed, until something cold touched her nose. "Huh?" She said dumbly, looking up at the sky. "Ah, it's starting to snow. I wonder if the games will go on?" Lucy looked up to the sky with her bluenette friend.
She hoped it would end, because she was starting to get exhausted with today. Who would've thought a soccer tournament could have so much drama?
