"Why are you here?" Marcel seethed.
Kol laughed. "I'm here for Bonnie."
"What makes you think she wants to see her crazy, stupid, lazy, no good, arrogant, inconsiderate, control freak ex-boyfriend, huh?" Marcel said.
"I realized that I made a terrible mistake I'm trying to protect her."
"Bullshit," Marcel snapped. "You're here for something else. What is it?"
Kol smirked then took a newspaper clipping out from the inside of his jacket. "This is why I want to protect her."
Marcel took the newspaper clipping from Kol and looked it over. The headline read in large bold letters:
"PLAYBOY BILLIONARIE FINALLY TAMED?"
Marcel read aloud the article,
"Playboy billionaire, Damon Salvatore was found at Tiffany's looking over rings. The heir to The Salvatore Enterprises was also found just two days ago out with all American girl, Bonnie Bennet on a romantic date in French restaurant, "Bar Boulud". The owner of the restaurant confirmed that the two were there. He said that the two seemed very much in love and it appeared as thought there was no one else in the restaurant, but them. Is this the woman that will finally tame and tie down the playboy? So now we wonder if Bonnie Bennet was the cause of Damon Salvatore's first divorce to now ex-wife socialite, Elena Gillbert? Who is Bonnie Bennet?"
There was a photo of Damon in a black suit walking down the street to the Salvatore Company building. At the end of the article, there was another photo, but this one was of Bonnie smiling as she smelled the flowers in the Central Park. She wore a white tight dress that covered her body until the knees. She looked very beautiful in that single picture.
"Who wrote that?" Damon asked.
"Atticus Shane," Marcel answered.
"The press will destroy Bonnie once they've found out about her past," Kol told them.
"This is how you found her?" Marcel questioned.
Kol nodded as he leaned back in the leather chair in Damon's office. "Yes. If I found her this quickly, imagine one of Damon's enemies finding her a lot quicker than me and they already had a plan to hurt him."
"You're saying that this is my fault," Damon growled lowly.
"No-" Klaus began.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying," Kol cut off, smiling.
"Why should we even trust a word that comes out of your mouth?" Damon asked. "All you've done is hurt Bonnie. Destroy her life and make her miserable. Now that she's happy and has a better likfe, you waltz in here and try to screw it up again, why?!"
"What happened in the past is between Bonnie and I-"
"Tell me why you did that to her? How could you do that to her?"
Kol sighed and averted his eyes. "She broke my heart, mate. I loved her so much and when she told me that she didn't want to have sex anymore with me because she didn't like having sex with me , I-I snapped. Lashed out. I thought that when we made love that we both liked it, it was the best night of my life, I was happy knowing that I finally got to be even closer with the love of my life," Kol told them.
"That's a good story and all, but it still doesn't answer my question as to why you destroy er life? Because she hurt your ego/ No, there's another reason you're not telling us!"
"She agreed to marry another man!" Kol shouted, leaping out of his seat angrily. "We were going to be together forever!"
Understanding came onto Marcel's face as he said, "Oh…you're talking about him."
"Yes, that's exactly who I'm talking about."
"Who's 'him'," Damon questioned curiously as he looked out the window facing the city from above.
"My parents arranged a marriage for Bonnie long ago. His name is Lorenzo Blackwell," Marcel answered.
"Enzo? I know him. We've been friends since Freshmen year of high school," Damon told them.
"Yeah, why am I not surprised that you two are buddies who are assholes. You two are like twins now that I think of it," Marcel said then turned to Kol. "By the way, my sister was forced to marry him. She never wanted to."
"She agreed to it though."
"My sister had no choice!" Marcel snapped. "What was she supposed to do?! If you would've talked to her then you two would probably still be together and happy."
"Damon, who has a grudge against you," Klaus inquired.
He shrugged. "There are so many. You know what; I think I may have a book."
"Why am I not surprised by that," Klaus wondered then followed Damon out the door with Marcel and Kol trailing behind. Just then Rebekah walked into the office. Marcel immediately stopped in his tracks as he gazed at the most beautiful woman he had ever seen before. She had beautiful blonde hair in short curls. She wore a flowing white dress with black polka dots. Flowing on the skirts, but tight around the waist. She had beautiful pearls around her slender pale neck, her lips a color of crimson, her ocean blue eyes sparkled causing them to be the first thing you see. She looked like a poster girl for what women wanted to be like. The perfect wife, Marcel thought. Even her smile was beautiful with her pearly white teeth. A warmth flooded through his body as he looked into her eyes, he also noticed how sad they were as well.
"Rebekah, love, what are you doing here," Klaus questioned.
"I came here to…" Rebekah trailed off as she locked eyes with Marcel. "Hi."
"Hi."
Rebekah smiled nervously at the gorgeous man. "Hi."
He smiled. "Hi."
Kol, Klaus, and Damon simultaneously rolled their eyes. Damon spoke up, "Marcel, Rebekah Mikaelson. Rebekah, Marcel McCullough. Good now that you both are acquainted, let's go look for Bonnie."
Her face fell. "Bonnie? What happened to Bonnie?"
"My sister's been kidnapped by one of Damon's enemies," Marcel said.
"Bloody hell, Damon," Rebekah scolded in exclamation. "I told you that he would come after you."
"No, not him," Damon brushed off.
"Oh, well, who is it?" Rebekah questioned. "Could it be Mason Lockwood?"
"Is he still in Brazil?"
"I don't know. I would have to check with Tyler."
"You mean your Devil Husband?" Damon joked, but they all knew that he was dead serious.
"My Devil- I mean my husband might not tell me."
"We could always threaten him. You know hand him over the ledge by his legs," Marcel suggested.
"I'm rubbing off on you, I can feel it," Damon said, smirking.
"I'm tired of playing by the rules. So I'm taking a page from your book," Marcel replied.
"Two McCulloughs that I've corrupted now only one to go," Damon said.
Marcel scoffed. "Yeah, good luck with that."
"It'll be like climbing Mount Everest," Damon realized. "Anyways, let's go get my little black book of enemies and go pay your Devil Husband a visit."
Bonnie hugged her knees to her chest as she stared at the sliver tray in front of her on the bed filled with healthy food. Mason had told her that this would help her baby. Bonnie was worried that the reason why Mason was feeding her baby and taking care of her was because months from now she would give birth. Then he would take her baby and run away. That was Bonnie's worst fear, a nightmare she had every night. It haunted her to her very core.
Her hand rested over her bump on her stomach. She wore a blue baby doll dress with her hair down her back in pretty waves. Everyday, she had hoped to see the door to the basement fly open and Damon running down the stairs and to her. She hoped that he found her. Every time she was greatly disappointed when it was Mason instead of Damon. She felt that disappointment again when he came down the stairs.
He sighed. "Still haven't eaten?"
"Why? It might be poison!"
"Well, that's good that you haven't eaten. I have someone here to check on your condition," Mason said with some excitement to his voice then called, "You can come down now, sweetheart."
Bonnie slightly gasped, "Dr. Fell."
Dr. Meredith Fell came down the stairs. "Hello, Bonnie. It's so nice to see you again. My you've grown into such a beautiful young woman."
"Why are you here?"
"You're pregnant, Bonnie. You need a doctor that is able to check on you and your baby. Please, let me help you," she said.
Bonnie reluctantly nodded. "Fine, but he has to leave."
"You girls have fun now," Mason teased then went up the stairs, closing the door behind him.
Once Dr. Fell was close enough, Bonnie grabbed her arm frantically. Bonnie lowered her voice when she told her, "You have to help me. He's going to kill me. Please just tell Damon-"
"There are cameras," Dr. Fell whispered lowly, barely moving her lips while she took out her things, bowing her head.
"What?"
"Cameras. Everywhere. He's watching you, Bonnie. I'll try to get Damon, but don't hold your breath," Dr. Fell said. "Blink twice if you understand what I am saying to you."
Bonnie blinked twice. Dr. Fell took out a syringe and took blood from both her arm and her stomach. She watched Dr. Fell carefully, hoping that she would get Damon. I miss him. More than ever. I need him. I still want him. I love him. Does he still love me? Bonnie made a vow to herself that she would be with Damon when she escaped from this prison of Hell created by the Devil himself.
