A/N: I'm not dead! I read this story last night and fell in love with it all over again. Since I started this story what seems like forever ago, I have improved and matured a lot. This well-overdue chapter will explain how Meowth is back, why Max is only worried about May's love life, what's up with Silver, the guy with the Flygon, and the Alakazam, and how May got 3 items already. To make up for the late continue, this chapter will be extra-long! I wanted incorporate some missing ends that I never tied in conclusion. And, to answer a question I realize now I never answered, May had super-speed when she defended the queen because she was only a few feet away from the man, she surprised him, and she's half-Pokémon. So yeah. I did know where I was going, but I needed some time to improve my writing before I got back to this story. I will try my hardest to update frequently. Thank you everyone who reads this story!
(P.S.: In earlier chapters, I was too lazy to find out what Diane's grandmother was named, so in this chapter anything that says her grandmother with be Towa, her real name. Sorry!)
With love to my amazing favs and followers, ~MewAngel46

May's POV
I woke up to Drew hugging me tightly. Half-unconscious, I blushed bright red. I managed to fend off the Alakazam; for now. Drew, noticing I was awake, let me go slowly. "May Aura Maple, you got some explaining to do." Helping me stand up, he guided me to the table and sat me carefully in a chair. Taking a deep breath, I started my story.
"So, if you guys are wondering, I did the contest because Nurse Joy suggested it to me. When she mentioned it, my necklace started to grow warm. I decided that something important would happen, and Celebi was telling me that I needed to be there. When I finished my appeals, right when the judges were about to announce what they thought of my performance, Jessie, James, and-get this-Meowth showed up. Apparently, Meowth played dead so Jessie and James would kill Giovanni for revenge. James took his old Pokémon Growly-a Growlithe, the Pokémon that burned me-and went on a rampage with Jessie in grief and anger. Meowth eventually caught up with them, and explained everything. While the duo went off hurting innocent others, Meowth was spying on Giovanni's son, Silver. Silver wants me, he wants to use my power for himself then kill me, and, trying to get on his good side, Team Rocket attempted to capture me for him.
"Although, with me now half-Celebi, I used Energy Ball to bust their balloon, and flew away. Now, to the items. Without me doing anything, I was time-traveled to the future and past 3 times. First, a majestic Moltres sat proudly in the middle of a cavern, and moved aside to show a glass container holding a bright flame-the first item we need. I grabbed the container, and, without warning, was transported to a damp, cool cave. Lugia was curled nonchalantly in the corner of the cave, and slowly rolled a bottle full of the water from its Water Gun attack to me. Again, after picking it up, I was transported to a spot not too far from the Pokémon Center Drew was at. Ho-Oh flew past, a few feathers drifting down beside me. I grabbed one, and, recognizing my surroundings, I ran towards town. I saw Drew walking out of the Center, and was surprised. Somehow, only minutes had passed since I had left the present."
Finishing, I settled down into my chair. Surprised and confused faces surrounded me, and I felt uncomfortable. Misty spoke up first. "Why does this Silver want you so badly?" I sighed and looked at her sadly, and replied: "I don't know Misty, I just don't know."

Dawn's POV
"Dawn, I have a surprise for you." Loving surprises, I hugged my boyfriend Paul tightly. "What is it Paul, tell me!" Laughing a little, something only I could make him do, Paul pulled out two boat tickets from his pockets. "What's this?" He hugged me and spun me in a circle, a large smile on his face. "Tell your mom that you're going on a new journey; we're going to Johto. I decided I want a change, and I can also meet your friends." I kissed his lips quickly when he set me down. Turning toward my house, I yelled to my purple-haired love, "Paul, wait out here! Be back in a minute!"
My mom laughed when she saw me scramble for my things. "Going on another journey, sweetheart? So soon after your journeys to Hoenn and Unova?" I nodded and ran to her, kissed her cheek, and ran out the door. "Bye mom, love you, see you when I get back from Johto!" When I shut the door behind me and ran down the steps, Paul grabbed my hand. "That was fast, troublesome." I pouted and poked his cheek. "Let's just go, ice cube." Leading the way to the dock, we walked hand-in-hand toward a new adventure.

As we settled into our cabin on the boat, I took out my Pokedex and logged into Pokebook. Doing the same, Paul and I started a conversation.
Piplup333: So, we're sitting right next to each other, and we decide to message each other.
PaulRules24: Pretty much.

Togepi366: Hey guys, May's fine, Drew ended up in the hospital, but he managed to get through, so yeah, everyone is fine.
Piplup333: That's good to hear. You'll never guess where I am right now!
Togepi366: In bed, naked, with Paul?
PaulRules24: Close.
Piplup333: NO! PAUL! Well, I am sitting in a bed with Paul, but ALL CLOTHES ARE ON.
Togepi366: I was joking, damn, lighten up a bit
PaulRules24: Well anyway, we're on a boat heading to Johto.
Togepi366: Really?! Where is the ship docking, we'll meet you there!
Piplup333: Um, at a town called Arborville, in front of Ilex Forest.
Togepi366: That's where we are! When will you get here?
PaulRules24: Tomorrow evening
Togepi366: I just told everyone here, they're all coming with me to see you guys.
Piplup333: How many people are with you?!
Togepi366: Um, only Ash, Brock, May, Drew, a girl named Diane, and Diane's grandmother Towa.
PaulRules24: I can already feel my social anxiety acting up.
Piplup333: Oh, shush ice cube. The more the merrier!

Maximaster193: Is May on?
Togepi366: No, she's asleep, why?
Maximaster193: I wanted to apologize to her… Instead of asking if her burn was okay, and stuff like that, I mocked her for liking Drew… She messaged me last night, she was really upset
Piplup333: Awwwwwh!
PaulRules24: Drew is online.
Maximaster193: Invite him on!
DrewHayden2001: Whaaaat? You guys are distracting me from watching May sleep!
DrewHayden2001: Is that creepy?
DrewHayden2001: Nah
Maximaster193: That's extremely creepy, why are you watching my big sister sleep?!
DrewHayden2001: Because she's beautiful
DrewHayden2001: I-I mean, because I want to make sure she's okay!
Piplup333: Suuuree.
Togepi366: Oh, Drew, I think you should explain what happened with May to Max, Dawn, and Paul, they should know about Celebi and everything.
DrewHayden2001: Okay, well, here goes… It started off with May taking a trip to the town Arborville…

Erika's POV
Oh, Brock, why is it so difficult for me just to tell you? I sat down in exasperation. I decided to call him, and dialed his number from memory. After two rings, he picked up. "Hello? Erika, why did you call me?" I blushed bright red, and Gloom walked over to me, sensing something was going on. "Because I need to tell you that I- that, that I- er- um- I…" Brock laughed a little, a light laugh, showing that he wasn't making fun of me. "You what, Erika? You're really adorable when you're shy like this, y'know." I lost it; my words stumbled out to form a sentence I had longed to say for quite a while. "Brock, you mean he world to me, you're my best friend. You're always there for me, and I'm so thankful for that. Brock… I love you." I heard his breath hitch, and he coughed a little. His reply made my face turn brighter red than a Ponyta's mane.
XXxxXXxxXX
Brock's POV
"I love you too Erika." I might have said that too loud, because all eyes in the room were on me. Misty grew a small smirk on her face, and laughed a little. "Get a room, lover boy." I felt my face burn bright red and hurriedly told Erika that I had something to do. "Brock, I think it's awesome that you finally found a girl that feels the same way about you." I looked up to see, to my surprise, Ash talking. I smiled gratefully towards him, and put my Pokedex away in my pocket. "I think I just need a little time alone." I walked down into the forest, through the log tunnel.
I kept walking, staring at the ground, before I ran into something. Thinking it was a tree; I held my head and looked up to see the object. It was a man, about six feet tall, with fiery red hair. "Get out of my way loser; I'm looking for someone important." I backed away, not wanting to fight, and ran back toward Arborville. Taking one glance back, I noticed that he had the Flygon that had been looking for May. I sprinted back to the tree house village, worried for my friend's safety. Standing at the door, the words tumbled out of my mouth before I could stop to breathe.
"May, there's a man out there in the forest who was really rude. He had the Flygon that raided the house the other day with him; he said he was looking for someone important. I think he was looking for you." I sat on the floor, panting heavily. Shocked faces surrounded me, and Diane ran over to my hunched body. "Come on Brock, come sit down and rest." She led me to a chair and I sat down carelessly. I gratefully took the bottle of cool, clear water Misty handed me.
May's lip was quivering, she looked as if she was about to cry. "Are you certain that's what you saw?" I looked toward her shaking figure in pity. This poor, young girl had people wanting to kill her. "Yes."
XXxxXXxxXX
Drew's POV
When Brock came back with the news of Silver being in the forest, May started crying. Without thinking, I hugged her tightly, and started trying to calm her down. She didn't object; she actually grabbed my shirt with both of her hands and leaned closer to me. I heard her whisper through her sobs, "Drew, I'm so scared, I don't want to die… Celebi is counting on me to get the items to save the forest." I started rocking back and forth, and slightly blushed. Why are you acting like this? You're her rival, you're supposed to tease her like you normally do, get her mind off of Silver and make her yell at you. But I couldn't. For some reason, I couldn't bear to see her crying. I used one hand to tilt her face up at me, and the other to wipe the tears away.
"May, it's alright, I'll protect you." I felt my face grow warmer and warmer. I heard giggles coming from the girls. I didn't care though, all I cared about was May's flawless face and the grateful look in her gorgeous sapphire eyes. I watched her full lips move as she whispered the words, "Thank you Drew."
XXxxXXxxXX
That evening, we went to meet Paul and Dawn at the dock. The whole way, May held tightly to my hand. I didn't say anything, because I kind of liked how attached she had suddenly become to me. Bad, bad, bad! No thinking about May, even if everyone says she likes you. Not until she says so herself. I squeezed her hand tightly, my emotions a swirling storm within me. She looked up at me, her big blue eyes curious. I shook my head, and continued walking.
A purple-haired boy and a blue-haired girl ran towards us, the girl dragging the boy behind her. The girl hugged May tightly, forcing our hands to separate. I hoped my disappointment wasn't too clear. "May, it's been forever! Is your burn better?" She let go and looked at the brunette. "Is it true that you're half-Celebi?" Her voice was much softer with the last line, and May smiled. "Yes, to all of it Dawn. I'm assuming they told you," the girl, Dawn, nodded, "but yes, Celebi did give me her powers as her dying wish." Dawn smiled slightly, a sad sort of smile, and turned toward me.
"So, is this Drew?" The smirk on her face scared me. "Yes," May giggled, "the cabbage boy is Drew Hayden." I pouted and glared at her, but I couldn't stay mad at her for very long because of those large sapphire eyes. "Now that I think about it," Dawn flicked my hair and smirked, "I've seen you before, on television." I blushed a little. "Erm... yeah." Why are you acting so strangely?! May is making you feel all tingly inside… "So, I guess that's Paul?" The purple-haired boy sat up a little straighter. "Yeah. What's it to you grass head?" I flipped my hair. My ego started to get the better of me. Even though he looked older and stronger, I couldn't help retorting, "At least I show emotion, ice cube." He growled deep in his throat, and walked toward me.
He grabbed me by the collar and raised me off of the ground. "Only DAWN can call me that." He dropped me to the ground, and I hit my head on the concrete. I released a groan, and felt the back of my head. No blood, to my relief. My vision was blurry, though. "Paul, what the hell was that for?! You could have seriously hurt Drew!" It looked like Paul shrugged, and then said, "His own fault." A loud slap sound was heard as my vision started clearing. Paul's face was shocked, and his cheek turning red quickly. "Your own fault," Dawn stated. She turned and walked to me, along with May. May spoke up first, and she showed concern in her voice, and in her clear blue eyes. "Drew, are you alright? How badly are you hurt?" She kneeled beside me and touched my head, making me wince. "I-I'm fine, I'm not bleeding, my vision was fuzzy for a second, but I'm fine now." Dawn sighed in relief. "I'm so sorry about that, he gets really worked up over things." I laughed a little, and shook my head lightly. "It's fine, I did the same for awhile, but airhead over there taught me to respect people… something she needs to learn herself." May pouted, and then smiled a little.
The rest of our little group stood in surprise. I tried to stand up, but quickly fell back down. May grabbed my hand and leaned against me to help me up, and Ash quickly came over to my other side to help. "Thanks guys, but I'm alright, I can walk on my own." Ash stepped back, but May held on to my hand tightly. "I don't want you getting hurt." Feeling exhausted, I leaned lightly against her. We slowly walked back to Arborville, and I groaned when I saw the ladder that led up to Diane and Towa's house. May lightly pushed me toward it. "I'll be behind you, don't worry. Celebi is a Psychic type, remember? If you fall, I'll catch you." I smiled gratefully and started to climb. I lost my footing a few times, but managed to get to the top. I sat on the balcony beside the ladder, panting and breathing heavily.
May helped me up one more time and led me into the house, and sat me slowly on the couch. She sat beside me, and I'm pretty sure I felt her scoot closer when no one was looking. Half-asleep, I heard Misty, Dawn, May, and Diane tell Towa about what happened at the dock. Paul was sulking in the corner while Brock and Ash played with Pikachu. When the story was done, May leaned her head on my shoulder. "You can sleep if you'd like, cabbage boy." I smiled a little, and wrapped my arm around her waist. I felt her tense up, and I prepared to let go, but she relaxed and nuzzled against me. That could have gone really bad. You should just tell her you- no, wait for the right time. My thoughts were a jumbled mess, and I eventually fell asleep, laying my head on top of May's.
XXxxXXxxXX
Misty's POV
That night, while everyone was settling into bed, I decided to stay awake in the living room. My excuse was that I was making sure nothing happened to Drew or May, but I really just needed some time to think about my relationship with Ash. I was too focused on the stars outside to hear the footsteps of a person walking in the room, which is why I jumped when someone hugged me from behind. I turned my head to see Ash, his eyes closed and his hat off. Pikachu wasn't with him, so we were the only ones awake in the room. He laid his head on my shoulder, and looked up at me with those soft brown eyes that make my heart flip.
"Misty, I've wanted to tell you something for awhile…" He let go and I turned to face him, but his eyes were staring at the floor. I scooted closer to the black-haired boy I loved. "What is it, Ash?" He gulped and focused his deep chocolate gaze on me. "I love you." My heart skipped a beat. I happily kissed his lips, and I opened one eye to see him blush. I pulled away just to where our lips were touching slightly, and whispered back the three words he had just said to me, something I had been longing to say for years.
XXxxXXxxXX
Ash's POV
We ended up kissing and hugging and cuddling more in the floor of the living room, but soon we grew tired. "I-I'm in a room all by myself, since Diane and Towa have their own room, Dawn is with Paul, and May is in here, so will you sleep in my bed with me?" I blushed a little at her request, but nodded nonetheless. I picked her up bridal-style, and carried her to her empty bedroom. "I really hope Drew and May finally admit their feelings soon, they're the only ones out of our 'group' who haven't admitted their feelings face-to-face." Misty nodded tiredly at my comment. I laid her down on her bed, and curled up next to her. She nuzzled closer to me and I wrapped my arms around her, falling asleep with our legs a tangled mess of limbs and our lips kiss-swollen.
XXxxXXxxXX
May's POV
I stared up at the green-haired boy I had loved for so long. No more denying it, I loved this boy. Not like I would ever tell him, though. Emerald eyes that made my heart melt into a puddle every time I saw them fluttered open. A dusting of pink covered my cheeks. His mouth opened up in a yawn, and he blinked a few times. "What time is it, airhead?" It was almost as if a balloon deflated inside of my chest. Of course he didn't feel the same way about me, he was so famous, and he could have any girl. My friends must have been playing tricks on me. "I-I'm not sure." Still holding around my waist tightly, Drew slipped his Pokenav out of his pocket and checked the time. "It's almost four in the morning, and I'm still exhausted." I nuzzled my cheek against his shoulder, glad no one could see us. "I'm not too tired, so you can fall back to sleep," I yawned loudly, blushing. Maybe I was tired.
"I'm not sleeping until you get some rest; you look as if you just did a marathon." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. A faint hint of red on his face, he picked me up and carried me to my room. Misty and Ash were lying next to each other, curled up together on Misty's bed. "I suppose they finally gave in to their feelings," Drew inquired. He laid me down slowly on my neat bed, my sheets slowly curling around me as the mattress shaped to my form. "Well, goodnight. Sweet dreams," With that, Drew walked out, but he walked back in and slowly planted a kiss on my forehead. "See you in the morning, airhead." Like a retard on ecstasy, I sat smiling for almost an hour, before drifting slowly to sleep.
XXxxXXxxXX
What seemed like only seconds later, I awoke to a male and female voice talking, and opened one eye to see Misty and Ash whispering quietly to one another. Still exhausted, I threw a pillow at them, laughing. "Get a room you two! This half-breed is trying to sleep!" I rolled over and pushed a pillow over my ears, trying to block out the sound. I couldn't hear much but gibberish, so I jumped when two strong arms wrapped around me and carried me to the living room. I dropped the pillow on the floor and pouted. "That's not fair Drew, you're bigger than me." Two shining emerald eyes seemed to smile at me, even though I couldn't see his mouth.
He set me on the couch, and sat beside me. "Your hair is a disaster, y'know," Dawn giggled. My cheeks quickly grew warm, and I hid my face in Drew's jacket. I was still in my pink Skitty pajamas, and my bandana was off. Drew wrapped a strong, almost protective arm around me, and I nuzzled against him gratefully. "You could have at least let me get ready," I whispered quietly. Drew smiled down at me, and squeezed me tighter. "No can do, airhead. We have to get the last few items, remember?" I had completely forgotten about the quest.
"The Eye of the Sea is next, right?" Brock spoke up, and I nodded. A groan escaped my mouth, and I curled closer to the boy I loved. "That means I have to wear those torture devices again…" Drew smiled and hugged me as close as I could get to his beautiful and strong body. "I think you looked gorgeous in that dress," he whispered. My face grew about as red as the dress I had worn. "Um, I-I guess it looked okay on me," I stuttered. Towa called out that breakfast was ready, so everyone but Drew and I walked to the dining room. Drew hugged me tightly with both arms, and looked at me with those handsome emerald orbs focused intently.
"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever met. And I've met a lot." He let me go and set me on the couch and walked to the kitchen, leaving me dumbfounded. He's teasing you again. Lying to you, making you feel as if you're special, and then he'll just strike you down again. That was normal for that boy. Although, he had been acting abnormally lately. I walked shyly into the kitchen and sat down, my mind too distant to eat.
XXxxXXxxXX
Drew's POV
Stupid, stupid, STUPID! Why did you say those things to her?! Sure, you meant them, and they were compliments, but now she may hate you… Look at her, she won't even eat! May sat looking at her food, not even touching the fork. After eating the eggs and sausage that had been piled on my plate, I lay back in my chair and sighed between my teeth. I was upset, and I'm sure it was obvious. We had less than 3 weeks left to get the items… What if it was impossible? "Excuse me a moment." I stood up and slowly walked out the door, carefully climbed down the ladder, then ran. I ran as far as I could, until I could run no farther. I sat on the ground, heaving, crying my eyes out. The girl I loved hated me. So much for happy endings.
I heard a male voice, then I heard, "Fly, fly, Flygon. Flygon fly." I hesitated for a moment, and then realized it was Silver. No, May! Even though my sides and chest were burning, and I couldn't breathe, I ran the whole way back. Tears still streamed down my face. I was scared, and I was alone. By the time I got up the ladder, I felt faint. May had changed to her regular clothes, and everyone was crowded in the living room. "Silver… and Flygon," I could barely release the words before I passed out, tears leaving tracks down my cheeks. I saw May run forward, and my whole world turned black.
XXxxXXxxXX
I woke up in May's bed. I think they realized I was awake, because I remember Brock saying I was heavy and he couldn't carry me to my own bed. I stayed awake for a bit, but my vision was blurry. All I could see was May and her big, stunning, sapphire eyes. I finally fell back to sleep, and my dreams were full of darkness and demons. In the last one, a man with fiery red hair tried to kill May, and I awoke with a jolt. Tears streamed down my face, and I was in May's arms. I was sitting up, leaning against the brunette's neck and shoulder intersection. I felt so small, so pitiful, but I couldn't help staying there, curled up in her lap. Her small shushing noises calmed me, and I stopped crying eventually. "May, I don't want you to die," I whispered. Her small, lovely voice quietly replied, "Drew Hayden, I will not die, I want to stay alive, I want to finally win a Grand Festival against you, I want to finally beat Ash in a battle. There are so many things I want to do. There are so many people I would miss, like you, and Max. I can't leave now." Her words calmed me down entirely, and my whole body relaxed.
Why are you acting so strange now? First off, not teasing May, now crying, what's next, ballet dancing? A scream interrupted my thoughts. May let go off me, and I stood up. Walking into the living room showed that Silver's Flygon had trapped Towa against the wall, and five Scizor had the others in a tight circle. Dawn was the one who had screamed. Silver, a six-foot-tall man with hair the color of flames, was yelling at Towa. "WHERE IS SHE, YOU OLD HAG?" My eyes widened, and I pushed May back, nonchalantly closed the door, and acted shocked. "What's going on here?!" Flygon dropped Towa, and pushed me against the wall instead. "Do you know where she is, grass boy?" I nodded, and pointed toward town. "These two people with a Meowth from Team Rocket captured her, it was on TV, and we were going to look for her today, if you're talking about May." Flygon looked toward Silver, and I was glad I had been crying, because more tears escaped. "Please, if you find her, don't hurt her…" Silver nodded, and Flygon dropped me to the ground. The Scizor all stepped back, and were returned to their Pokeballs. I sank to the floor, sobbing. Silver retreated, and at the door, he stopped and said, "You better not be lying to me lettuce hair." He jumped off of the deck and ran toward town, Flygon hot on his heels.
When he was out of earshot, Dawn opened the door and May ran out. She kneeled down next to where I was crying on the floor. Her arms wrapped around me tightly, and we sat there for awhile, curled up together. "May, if he tries to kill you, I'll bargain with him, I'll die instead. You have so much to live for. I promise," I whispered. I felt tears fall on my hair, and I looked up at her shaking sapphire orbs. "I don't want you to die, Drew. I either want to live with you here with me, or I don't want to live at all." This is perfect timing, kiss her! Realizing that it was a private moment, everyone went to their respective bedrooms. I leaned up, but was afraid. I can't do it… I instead kissed her cheek. "Ugh, why do you do this? You tease and make fun of me, but you kiss me! I don't understand you," she said in quiet frustration.
I couldn't say anything, or else I would give away my crush. "You'll probably never understand," I whispered coldly. May was still crying, and she shook her head. "I want to understand." She released the hug and ran, slamming her bedroom door. I curled up in the fetal position and cried myself to sleep, something I hadn't done for years.
