*Bucky's Pov"

I sat there as I watched Allison's monitors continue beeping. Occasionally there would be a spike in brain activity but she stayed unconscious. The doctor walked in at that moment and I looked back at him.
"Why is she in a coma? I was only informed that she had heat stroke and dehydration. Last time I checked those things don't cause a coma. She's been trained against this." He said in distress. This was strange for Allison or Catalyst or whoever was in control at the time.
"Yes but did you know about her dissociative identity disorder?" The doctor asked kindly. He sat next to Bucky in the second chair. I nodded into my hands.
"Her mind has been under so much stress recently that she just snapped. Her alter personality..what was her name?" The doctor asked while patting me on the back.
"It is Catalyst. Agent Catalyst." I muttered into my hands. The heart monitors went crazy, the brain scanners showing massive brain spikes. The doctor pulled me back and stepped back himself. Catalyst sat straight up. Her hazel eyes scanning the room. There was no emotion in her eyes.
"Why am I here?" She asked in a low whisper. I hadn't heart that voice since she was in her last interrogation. When neither of the us answered she growled.
"I asked, Why. Am. I. Here?" She hissed in a louder voice. The doctor looked at me and I just shrugged. I had no idea what was going on. The doctor looked at her then looked at me. I had an idea but it was very risky.
"Catalyst? Do you remember me?" I asked as I approached her. She looked at me and started a hiss but she stopped.
"You were my partner?" She said hesitantly. She was confused. Her eyes darted to the right to look at floor. The memory look. I knew that look too well. I nodded to her and approached the bed. Luckily she was still in her street clothes.
"Yeah, Yeah I was your partner. I escaped and wasn't able to take you with me. Believe me I would have taken you with me. I never betrayed you in the field or at base. I want to show you the 21st century. I want to show Allison the 21st century. I know you care about her. You care for her like a sister, why did you shove her back in your head?" I asked Catalyst. From what I Remembered, catalyst is more tactical than Allison.
"Because she went into a coma. Our brain could not put up with both of us anymore. The sun and dehydration didn't help her either." She replied monotonous. The doctor was stunned he had never seen anything like it. Allison shared a mind with this Catalyst figure and is not harmed. Catalyst seemed to not want control of the body. She is just a resource placed there to override the regular personality.
"Catalyst. Can you speak to Allison in your head?" The doctor asked. I looked back at her waiting a response. Catalyst's eyes were blank and apparently somewhere else. She was thinking.
"Yes. Yes I can. She can talk back." She slowly replied. Obviously she had been discussing with Allison. The doctor pulled me out of the room and I nodded to her. She nodded back and went back to staring at the wall.
"That girl is amazing. Catalyst seems to be a trigger word for the second personality to show. That is truly outstanding. I would suggest giving her time to heal and then taking her to stark towers. There you can rehabilitate Allison and monitor Catalyst you just need to figure out how to bring Allison back. But I'm sure you can do that." The doctor told me. I looked back to Catalyst who was staring blankly at the wall. She was still communicating with Allison.
"Do you have any idea why her trigger word is Catalyst?" The doctor asked me. I sighed and looked at him. I sat down in the nearby chair. I felt like this was going be a long discussion.
"You know that she was in Hydra right?" I asked him. He nodded and I continued to look at him.
"Her hands are experimented on. Heck her whole body was changed. I never saw her as a child or even younger than she is now. From what I can remember she became my partner in 2010 and she hasn't changed appearance. Ever. Her hands can change into any element or substance on earth. She specializes in chemicals and disease. She is a spark. She was the Catalyst for Hydra. She made it possible for project insight to launch. She would negotiate and make people believe in the Hydra regime. And stamp out people who refused to change" I explained. The doctor nodded and flipped her chart over.
"She had gun residue on her hands, any idea where that could have come from?" He asked. I sighed and frowned. I should have known she would go and do this.
"Sniper. She was a sniper. She used hollow points, hypodermics, and full metal jackets. All soviet slugs." I muttered. The doctor looked confused.
"Then why does she have gun residue on her hands? Don't tell me she.." he muttered while rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"I am afraid she did. There have been reports of Hydra agents slowly falling off the maps. I can't believe I had never thought of it before. Of course she would have gone after them." I muttered. I looked back to her and noticed she was still staring at the wall. Did she even blink?
"That girl is strange. Could you tells us more of what they did to her? If you don't feel comfortable then that's fine." He said while sitting down next to me.
" All I know is that she has joints made of metal and they are all double jointed. They actually liquefied all her joints to make them that way. If you found her file I could tell you more but..." I sighed. The doctor stood up and walked to the desk he fiddled around with some papers. He found a certain one and placed it in my hands. It was a long lost medical report with the Hydra logo water marked on the back of it.
"This is all your friends gave me about her. They told me that they are looking for more but...It's going to take a while." He said as I read the paper.

Mission Evaluation, February 19th 2010

Before we start this Evaluation, we would like to insert a caption sent from the medical team a few weeks ago "Mission Team, When we heard about the director wanting the asset labeled as 'Catalyst' to go on a mission we were honestly surprised. The asset has not been on a mission in so long. When we pulled it out of cryofreeze it acted strangely. Speaking in English instead of the regularly programmed Russian. This obviously concerned us so we conducted some tests. We have honestly never seen this kind of inconsistency in any of our previous subjects. We are thoroughly confused at her responses to our tests. It has completely deviated from our planned course set from it's training. Previously it had seemed stable but now it's strangely resistant to all tests. Physically and Psychologically. Since we wiped it the asset has grown more and more unstable. Now that it has been wiped again we can say that it should be ready for the inscribed mission. Understand that our concerns do not subside with the wipage of the asset. It should work according to instruction but any reminder of it's previous missions will cause relapse and imminent failure. This includes people, and places but not objects. We hope that our work will remain intact and in working condition while in the field. If the asset does not perform to expected quality send it back to us and we will completely re-calibrate it. Thank you, Medical Dept."

Their concerns were not ignored however. The mission to acquire S.H.I.E.L.D information went better than could have been expected. Agent Sitwell is now on our side, as are Agents Rumlow and the entire S.T.R.I.K.E team. We now have more data than we could have hoped for. After the mission Catalyst worked just as programmed. The director will want to make sure it is taken care of. We recommend placing it back into cryofreeze but that is up to you. We fully understand that society is at a tipping point. Soon we are going to give it a push but Catalyst will not be able to do that. We recommend The Winter Soldier for that mission. Catalyst at the present time can take on smaller mission such as political kills. We need to make sure it can handle large scale mission like it did in the past. You don't have to follow our advice but it would be wise to do so.

The Mission Team

"Obviously she is very unstable and needs rest." The doctor noted. I nodded and looked back into the room. I sighed and noticed Allison was still sleeping.
"When can she leave?" I asked. I wanted to show her the tower and everything.
"You will have to take it up with her. She can leave whenever she wants too. But be warned. The authorities don't like her. She is a trigger just waiting to be pulled. Keep her safe alright." He said while placing a hand on my shoulder. I nodded and walked into the room. Allison woke up and looked at me strangely.
"I Know you. You are the man I hurt. Why do I keep seeing you?" She muttered. I smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"because I want to show you around. I want to introduce you to a few of my friends. When you are super powered it helps to stick together." I said with a smile. Gosh I hoped she would take my offer.
"Sure. As long as I can watch from a distance first." She muttered. She stood up and stumbled a bit. She quickly caught her balance and her boots made slight click noises on the floor. She signed herself out and walked out the door.
* Doctor's POV*

I remember watching her as a little girl. I remember watching her grow up. I can't wait to see how she fits in with the world. I hope that Hydra has not destroyed my little girl I knew and love. I pulled out my wallet and saw a faded Black and white picture. I was pushing a little 2 year old in a swing. She looked just like her mother.
*Bucky's Pov*

We walked to the car and I opened the door for her. Force of habit. She immediately clicked her seat belt and sat the chair up so the back was straight up and down.
"Who the heck sat in this seat last?" She asked quietly. I laughed a bit and thought of Tony's incredibly poor posture.
"Stark. He sits in a slouch. It's annoying." I commented. We drove into the city and Allison looked around. Sure she had walked in it before but it was different at 30 miles per hour. I pulled into the Tower's parking lot. I stopped the car and she got out. We walked to the elevator and sped up to the Avenger's living quarters. Allison stood behind me as I walked out of the elevator. Kat saw her first and walked over to her.
"Hello Allison. Welcome to the tower!" She said happily. Allison gave a shaky nod and looked around.
"Let me introduce you to everyone." Kat said but Allison shook her head no. She wasn't ready to meet people. Kat nodded knowingly.
"Baby steps it is then"

Author's note- I am so sorry for not updating. I have been so busy with school finals and projects. I did see Civil War yesterday and HOLY COW IT WAS AMAZING. . . It had everything. I wont spoil anything unless I give a warning. Other than that I hope you can forgive me for not updating and I hope you enjoy this rather lengthy chapter. If you have any one shot requests you can email me or private message me. If you have any ideas I would be happy to listen to them.

Till the end of the line,
Agent Catalyst/Allison
