Hello, and welcome back to Pokemon XY! So, if you read the last chapter you will notice that the title has changed, and I'll explain why in the lower A/N. Anyway, this chapter will involve the Parfum King and the PokéFlute, plus a whole lot of Camphrier people. So, let's hop to it… After review replies…

El Torro: Yeah, Metang is a beast, and I can assure you Dwayne will be one hell of a rival.

tepigsfire758: Haha, your response to the first questions :') And yes, unfortunately, Dwayne will be Tyler's main rival. And your kinda meant to hate him :3 Also, I've wanted to ask you this for a while, but are some of the typos just the different way we spell things (America spells things differently to people in NZ). For example, color and colour, or center and centre. Just thought I'd ask, as I proofread my chapters and can't see spelling errors, though it's always possible I could miss some.

NodokaLover: Thanks, and I know you're hinting at wanting Jim to appear. I am going to need a OC for a temp-rival soon, so you can submit him then :)

Ep 13: Parfum Petty Potentate!

We arrived in Camphrier Town last night, and were now exploring the rather small town. It was one of the first towns in Kalos, and its antique beauty couldn't be matched. In the centre was a gorgeous fountain, just south of the biggest landmark in Camphrier Town; the Shabboneau Castle!

"Wow, this place looks gorgeous!" Tori exclaimed as we began to walk up to the old castle.

"It is stunning," Levi agreed as we began to walk across the drawbridge. I wasn't in the mood to talk. After my soul-crushing loss to that Dwayne kid, I hadn't felt like my 'new' self anymore. Just as we were going to open the castle doors – since there was a sign that said 'Visitors Welcome!' – a man in white karate robes stormed out in front of us, making Levi fall back onto the ground. "Hey!" he barked as I helped him up with a firm grasp.

"Oh, sorry," he grumbled as if he was in a bad mood. He then ran to leave but Tori had to but in.

"Wait, where are you going in such a rush?" The middle-aged man turned around so you could see his body in full. He was wearing a red band around his spiky black hair, had raging red eyes along with a black belt around his white karate gear. I also noticed he wasn't wearing any shoes, and had a necklace with a black ring, which looked like it was supposed to hold something.

"I'm going to Parfum Palace. I have business there," he growled in a similar tone to the first time. He obviously wasn't dealing with good business.

"Parfum Palace?" Tori questioned with her right index finger on her check, trying to recall whether she had heard that name before.

"It's a large kingdom built about an hour's walk from here. But I bet I could run there in 5 minutes, with how much I want to crush that King!" he yelled while his fists were clenched firmly by his sides.

"What business do you have with him?" I hung my head and sighed as Tori wouldn't stop pestering this guy with questions.

"I have no time to talk. If you want to know more information, then the only way you'll get it is on the way to Parfum Palace," he told the three of us as he turned around and started to sprint away.

"Ok then!" the girl sang as she raced after the guy. She reached the fountain in no time flat but turned around and looked at us. "Come on guys!" Me and Levi sweat dropped as we started to slowly jog after the two. After catching up with the martial arts man, who was now running at a slower pace, Tori began to slaughter him with questions again.

"So, what's the King done wrong?" The man had his eyes focused on where he was running, but began to speak.

"He has the castle's PokéFlute!" We all looked at him in confusion, as we had no idea what a PokéFlute was. He picked up on that because of our silence, and explained further. "A PokéFlute is a special flute which is played to Pokemon. It has many uses, notably being able to wake up any Pokemon, with the additional effects of attracting all the Pokemon within half a mile's radius."

"W-wow!" Levi stuttered as he gasped for air. The man didn't seem to be fazed at all by the long speech, and continued to jog at a steady pace.

"Yes, wow indeed. But, the King has our PokéFlute! It was always on show in the Shabboneau Castle, where it was taken out and played once a month, but the King decided that 'It's beauty wasn't seen by enough people', since Camphrier Town isn't a very popular town. So he took it by force, and it's now displayed in the throne room of the palace. But the real issue now is that a Snorlax has fallen asleep on our beautiful town bridge. The bridge crosses the river to Route 7. But the Snorlax is so big and overweight that it blocks the stone bridge, and the bridge is starting to crack! We've even got Machamp on shifts to hold the bridge up, although that will only work for a short amount of time," he explained. The three of us were gasping for air just listening to the description, but he still had no trouble breathing. Stamina. "So we have to get our PokéFlute back, not just to save our bridge, but to bring back our heritage!" Tori and Levi began to look at each other and smile, but I just frowned.

"We'd love to help you out!" they sang in unison. I just hung my head low, partially to cover up the fact that I was gasping for air, but mainly because I didn't feel like getting in the middle of this big feud. They looked back at me with both confusion and anger, but they couldn't get too angry, as they knew something had been up ever since I was defeated by Dwayne.

"It's… beautiful…" Levi muttered as we ran up to the palace. The palace seemed to be like a small town, but with a large castle at the top of the mountain. All of the houses and commercial buildings were so beautiful. They were built with almost golden coloured bricks, with finite blue roofs. The pathways were made out of dull grey stone, but were polished so they shone, which added to the beauty. And as the kingdom climbed up a small mountain, our jaws just dropped even more. And then, finally, we reached the tip top; the palace!

"This is simply stunning," I commented, which seemed to be some of the only words that had come out of my mouth today. The palace was just… Royal! Its golds and blues blended harmoniously, with curves and perfecting edging; it was fit for a king… Literally!

"To me it's just tainted with lies and betrayal," the karate man spat as he stormed through the gates and walked towards the front door.

"Master Hans! Please to-" a guard said as he bowed for the karate man, but was rudely interrupted.

"Save it," Hans spat as he stormed past him and kicked open the doors. So Hans was his name… He's a bit cold, don't you think?

"Looks like we're going too!" Tori cheered as she ran after Hans yet again. I just sighed, and followed after the grumpy man and my two over-energetic friends. We walked down a hallway, where there were gorgeous paintings from centuries ago, and statues of some legendary Pokemon, including Mew and Celebi to name a few. We reached the end of the hall and stepped into the biggest ballroom you've ever seen; almost the size of a contest stadium! It was empty however, and there were two stairs on either side of the room. Hans turned back to us coldly.

"This way," he said with a grunt.

"Geez, should we really be helping out this guy?" I whispered to my two friends who both looked unsure. Hans then glared at me as if I had insulted every bone in his body.

"What?! How dare you-" he stopped and sort of just sighed, as if he was disappointed. "I'm sorry. I'm not usually this harsh, or angry, but my town needs that PokéFlute, and I'm sick and tired of the way the King takes advantage of anyone and everyone." Before any of us could give a response, however, he sharply turned back and started to run for the right staircase. We all followed him, and once we got to the top, we ran slightly to the left, where in the centre on the two stairwells, were some massive lavender doors. "This is it kids. Let me do the talking." He pushed them open and a large, but much smaller, ballroom revealed itself. There was red carpet that lead from the door to a throne chair, and along the sides of it were golden pillars. Alternating between the pillars were empty men of armour and items in cases. Sitting on the throne chair at the end of the room was a short and stubby man, who was wearing a gold crown. He seemed to have a jester performing for him, which he wasn't impressed about, and two guards standing either side of him. He stopped paying attention to the jester, however, and glared straight at us.

"HAHAHA!" the King cackled as we began to storm up the red carpet. "Look, Hans, I'm not giving up that PokéFlute."

"I don't expect you to," he replied as he bounced into the air, and was coming down foot-first for the King. He didn't stand a chance however as the two guards in gold-plated armour held their spears sideways and blocked the attack. Hans was pushed back into the air before he fell flat on his face, but he quickly recovered. "I won't give up!" Hans started to frantically scan the cases for the special flute he wanted. "Where is it?!" The King just cackled again and held it up in front of him. It was a wooden flute with a pokeball near the lip of it.

"I was warned by my guards at the door that you were coming. I'm not stupid."

"I don't understand why you would make our town suffer?! You were told about the Snorlax resting on the Camphrier Pass, so why haven't you at least lent it back to us to wake up the Pokemon?!" Hans yelled.

"Because, I'm not-" For what seemed like the thousandth time today, someone was cut off. The King stopped mid-sentence as a piercing cry came from out the back of the palace. It sounded like a dog's whine, as if it had just been injured. "FURFROU!" The King screamed as he jumped up on his chair. Obviously that was his Pokemon as the King was looking around in panic, before he clicked his fingers. Four men in ridiculous, olden day uniforms came out of nowhere and were carrying a red and yellow carpet with stained poles of wood on either side. The King jumped up on top of it and they zoomed out of the room in no time flat.

"Urgh… He took the PokéFlute with him!" Hans grumbled as he ran after the King, which in turn, made us run after him. After running down the stairs, instead of going back down the hallway we came, we went the opposite way and ran out of some huge glass doors. It lead onto a small patio and then a bridge, which crossed a small river and lead into a humongous garden. The three of us just stopped and stared at the paradise in awe. There were large, glorious statues of legendary Pokemon made from hedges, hedge mazes, fountains, flower patches and more! It was a haven for people and Pokemon.

"Where did they go?" Tori questioned as she put her hands on her hips in anger. Another large yelp came from the back left corner of the garden.

"That way!" Hans shouted as he pointed towards the area of the garden. We all ran down the fairly straight forward path, and found Furfrou and the King quickly.

"Frou!" Furfrou yelped to the other dog standing in front of him. Standing in front of the shaggy, white haired dog, was another dog who had grey and black fur, with piercing yellow eyes.

"Pooch!" the Pokemon growled.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Tori asked as she pulled out her pink Pokédex.

"Poochyena, the Bite Pokemon. It has a very tenacious nature. Its acute sense of smell lets it chase a chosen prey without ever losing track," Tori's Pokédex read.

"Please! Don't hurt my precious Furfrou!" the King wailed.

"Fennekin, come on out and use Ember!" Tori screamed as she unleashed her small fox Pokemon. Fennekin appeared and fired a series of fiery bullets at Poochyena, who fell over from the attack. "Now use Flame Charge!" Fennekin then leaped forward, covered in flames, and smashed into Poochyena, sending him flying away into the distance.

"Oh thank you!" he screamed in joy as he hopped off the strange stretcher thing and hugged his Pokemon. Furfrou and the King both seemed delighted to see each other.

"Now that this young lady has saved your Pokemon, will you now give up the PokéFlute?" As soon as Hans uttered the words, the King shot a glare. He started to shake his head as he spoke up.

"Now, why would I do that?" Just as Hans was about to start yelling again, he put his hand forward as a stop symbol. "But, since you saved my beautiful Furfrou, I will give you the chance to get it back. Beat my Furfrou in a battle, and I will give you the PokéFlute."

"Ok then!" Hans grinned as he reached for a pokeball.

"Wait," the King said before Hans could throw the pokeball. "One more catch. One of those kids has to beat me."

"What?!" he shrieked. He turned to us in worry but Tori and Levi were beaming.

"We got this," Tori assured him.

"Yep, we got a strong trainer here," Levi proclaimed as Tori and himself stepped behind me and started to push me forward.

"What? Why me?" I groaned as I tried to stand my ground.

"Fine. The boy it is then. Furfrou, let's do this," the King said with a nod to his Pokemon. He had his game face on, so I knew he wouldn't be a pushover.

"Chespin," I said while throwing my main partner's pokeball. On a usual day, Chespin would be out, but today I decided to keep him inside of his, as I wasn't in the right mood for Chespin's happy vibe.

"Pin!" the Chestnut Pokemon squealed excitedly as he entered battle.

"I'll steal the first move! Baby-Doll Eyes!" Furfrou's eyes started to well up and get teary, which made Chespin sad, making him less focussed while also lowering his Attack stat. "Now, Tackle!" Furfrou then suddenly pounced at Chespin, which pushed him over and sent him rolling towards me.

"Chespin, get up and use Leech Seed!" I retaliated after Furfrou was going back to the King. Chespin utilised Furfrou's distraction and jumped up, while the spikes on his hat were shimmering green. They then generated seeds and shot them towards Furfrou, who was then tangled in vines. Furfrou fell to the ground as the vines began to shock him and drain his energy. "Now Rollout!"

"Ches-Pin!" Chespin screeched as he steam rolled for Furfrou. After the attack landed, Furfrou didn't seem to be bothered by it at all and just stood up proud.

"What?!" I shrieked.

"That's because we lowered Chespin's attack," the King reminded us. Dammit! All of Chespin's moves that can deal damage are physical moves. I wonder if he could've predicted that or it was just dumb luck... Well, at least we'll steal deal damage through Leech Seed.

"Chespin, wrap up Furfrou to stop it from moving and let Leech Seed do all of the damage!" I ordered Chespin. He obeyed, and sent out two vines which wrapped around Furfrou's white fur. The dog was then zapped by Leech Seed again and again, as he couldn't break free from the double layer of vines.

"Retaliate!" Furfrou suddenly flashed a vicious red, and the power made the first layer of vines start to deteriorate. Furfrou then proceeded to kick and shake its body, which ridded him of vines! "Yes! Now use Tackle once more!"

"Take it on with your Tackle, Chespin!" Chespin bounced forward until he collided with Furfrou, where they were both sent flying back. "Vine Whip Furfrou over and over!" As Chespin slid back, two vines were unleashed and started to slap Furfrou, dealing small amounts of damage each time.

"Stop Chespin by using Roar!" Furfrou suddenly let out a deafening yelp, similar to the ones we were hearing earlier, and Chespin couldn't bare the pain, so he retracted his vines. "Now let's finish this battle by using Retaliate!"

"Frou!" the dog barked as he flashed red. He then sprinted for Chespin with a determined look on his face.

"Jump!" Just as Furfrou was approaching Chespin, he jumped high into the air, causing Furfrou to stop in his tracks. "Now use Rollout!" Chespin curled up into a ball, and rolled straight down onto Furfrou's head. Furfrou was implanted into the ground, but shakily got back up. "Vine Whip it away!" Just as Chespin landed back onto the ground, two vines came forth and mimicked a wave, before whipping Furfrou thoroughly. Furfrou was sent flying back to the King and he immediately became unconscious.

"Tyler is the winner of this battle!" Tori cheered with a fist bump to the air. The King sighed, but walked over to his Furfrou and patted him on the head.

"Yeah! We won Chespin!" I cried out as I ran over and hugged Chespin. I found myself smiling, and proud of not only winning a battle, but getting back the PokéFlute.

"I thought that might get your confidence back," Levi analysed with a nod of the head. After finishing the celebrations, Hans went over to the King and put his hand out.

"Fine," he grumbled as he handed the PokéFlute over to Hans. "But I don't want to hear of any crimes or trouble with you Hans, or that PokéFlute comes back to me!" The King quickly turned his head away and walked over to the stretcher. The four men then dashed away with the King on top, and we were left in the garden.

"Wow, we finally got it back… Let's get it to the people and Pokemon on the Camphrier Pass right away!"

"We're back!" Hans called out as we approached the stone bridge. We started to hear people and Pokemon cheer, and come rushing towards him. They all admired the PokéFlute, and rushed him over to the Snorlax. However, we were all shocked once the crowd cleared and we saw the size of the Snorlax.

"What?!" we shrieked in unison.

"No wonder that's breaking the bridge," Tori sighed as we looked at the probable 2.5 metre high Pokemon, which was much larger than a normal Snorlax.

"Ok, let's get playing…" Hans muttered as he held the PokéFlute near his lips. He then started to play the soothing and harmonious music, which Chespin hummed along to. Nearby Pokemon started to gather, and they were all happy while listening to the song. Our attention soon shifted to Snorlax as we heard a large yawn. He stretched out his arms and sat up, where he then scratched his head.

"It's waking up!" Tori squealed with excitement.

"Now, we need to capture it!" one of the citizens shouted.

"Alright, go Makuhita! Use Brick Break!" another civilian shouted as he sent out his Makuhita. The small yellow Pokemon's hand shone white but before he could land the attack, he shot out a Hyper Beam, which wiped out the Makuhita immediately. "Makuhita no!" he cried as he ran to the Pokemon's side. I looked over to Tori and she seemed to be confident in what she was about to do...

"Alright Flabébé, let's do this!" Tori yelled as she threw her pokeball forward.

"Tori, don't do it, you'll get hurt!" I warned her.

"Well I believe me and my Pokemon can do it! Flabébé, use Fairy Wind!"

"Bé… Bé!" Flabébé cried as she paused for a moment, and then span and emitted a pink wind gust. The stream of wind encapsulated the fat Pokemon, but he didn't seem to be bothered at all.

"What…?" Tori said as her confident expression turned stone cold. "No matter, let's use Magical Leaf!" Flabébé once again started spinning, and released a barrage of spinning green arches, which weren't actual leaves. The attack hit Snorlax straight in the belly, but they all seemed to disperse as soon as they hit the 'beer belly'. Snorlax raised his head and looked at Flabébé as if he had just been poked, and then launched a Hyper Beam at Flabébé. The red laser knocked out Flabébé instantly. "Flabébé, you fought valiantly… Fennekin, let's do this!"

"Kin!" the fox screeched intimidatingly. Snorlax didn't seem to be bothered by the threat at all however.

"Fennekin, Ember!" Fennekin pounced into the air, and after whipping her head around, unleashed a series of bullets made of fire. The attack hit Snorlax's stomach once again, and didn't seem to do a thing. "Wow, any attacks we launch at his belly are useless…" Tori wailed.

"So find a weak point," I suggested. The girl turned to me and looked stunned, but put her game face back on when she thought of a plan.

"Alright then, let's aim at his head! Fennekin, Scratch over and over!"

"Fenne—Kin!" Fennekin squealed as she leaped onto Snorlax's face, got out her sharp claws, and scratched him over and over.

"Lax!" Snorlax roared in anger. He threw his fist up which seemed to me drenched in ice.

"Dodge it!" Fennekin pounced back towards Tori, and was left without a scratch. Snorlax got up and started to stomp his feet, meaning he was reading to battle. "Yes! A reaction!" Wow, they actually did it. They found his weak spot. "Fennekin, use Flame Charge to the face!" Fennekin jumped up at Snorlax drenched in flames, and before Snorlax could land an Ice Punch, he was hit by the Fire-Type attack. Snorlax was knocked over, but didn't stay down for long. Just as Fennekin reached the ground, Snorlax got up and fired a large red beam, full of power; Hyper Beam! "Fennekin, roll out of the way!" Before the attack could land, Fennekin rolled along the dirt and just narrowly avoided the attack. "Alright, let's finish this with Psybeam!"

"Kin!" Fennekin screeched as her eyes turned pink-purple and a rough cylinder of energy surged and encapsulated the Pokemon's body. When the purple light disappeared, it revealed a purple-eyed Snorlax, who had been inflicted with confusion.

"Yes! This is it! Go… Pokeball!" Tori screamed with excitement as she threw the fresh pokeball, and it tapped Snorlax right on the head. It shook once. Twice. A third time and… PING! Tori's expression turned into pure joy as she ran and picked up the pokeball. As she began to hold it high, she shouted… "Alright, I just caught a Snorlax!" Fennekin sprinted over to her trainer and jumped onto her shoulder, admiring her new friend. "Thank you Fennekin, you were amazing."

"Kin!" the Pokemon squealed happily. Suddenly, the townspeople erupted in cheers and 'Woo-Hoos!', and held Tori up on their shoulders. She just giggled as she always did, and held the pokeball close to her heart.

"Well done, Tori," Levi complimented her as the cheering died down.

"Yes, a very well done indeed," Hans added in as he came over and shook Tori's hand. "Thank you, so very much. Not only do we have our PokéFlute back, but we also have our bridge back. And that's thanks to you kids. Thank you…"

"It was a pleasure," Tori replied while she bowed.

"So, what do you plan on doing with that Snorlax?" Hans questioned.

"I think… I am going to keep it!" she exclaimed with a proud grin.

"But it's not exactly a contest Pokemon," I warned her.

"Well I need to get more powerful, and Snorlax seems like he'll be the way I do it!"

"That's if he wants to do contests," Levi analysed.

"Well then, I guess I'll have to show him all the perks and cool things about contests!" she yelled excitedly.

"That's a mature way to handle a Pokemon. It's not fair on the Pokemon if it's released," Hans agreed.

"Well then, looks like we should get going. Looks like there's still at least a few more hours until sunset," I informed the group.

"Well, if you cross that bridge, it's about a day's walk to the Pokemon Day Care centre, and then another two day's walk to the Battle Chateau. Cyllage City then takes a few more days from there. I wish you all the best of luck!" Hans told us firmly.

"Thanks, and good luck with keeping that PokéFlute!" Tori shouted out as we waved to Hans and the townspeople, walking along the mildly cracked bridge as we did so. We then head off along Route 7, leaving that crazy and intense area behind us.

"Now, time for my Cyllage gym battle… The Onix man…" I said softly to myself, envisioning destroying his Rock-Type with Chespin. Chespin hopped up onto my head and smiled as the wind hit his face.

"Pin!"

NEXT EPISODE: FROAKIE – PATHETIC OR POWERFUL?

And there we have it! My original plan for this episode was just to have the XY storyline, where you retrieve the King's Furfrou and get back the PokéFlute, and then capture the Snorlax. But as I wrote this chapter, I realised I made Hans way too angry and the description of the King too bad, so I couldn't have him be so nice that he would just give up the PokéFlute. So, a battle happened. And then of course, Tori captured Snorlax. As you saw, Snorlax is a lazy ass but also a tank, so he will be an interesting addition to Tori's team. Next episode will revolve around Froakie and the Daycare Centre. Also, I just want to note, I apologise in advance if there's no episode up next week, as I haven't even started it. So sorry in advance, and let's get onto the Pokemon Listings:
