Chapter Eight: Discovered

*Flashback Continued*

Despite it ending with lesser hostility, the aftermath of what occurred within Ayames household left her unhappy. Looking back at all the events that have occurred over the past couple of years it seemed that the people and family she loved were only falling more and more apart. Her index finger rubbed the diamond in the middle of her forehead as she walked through the wind down the sandy roads of her village. The grief of losing her father was still meddling inside her and she didn't think it was ever going to get better. She longed for him to kiss her in the middle of the forehead, just like he did before they parted ways upon the battle field. It gave her strength and it helped her push forward until the end.

But it was soon enough that she was going to gain new strength. She fiddled with the gold ring that rested on her left ring finger. It was only a matter of weeks before her wedding. She already had a long gown picked out and it was waiting to be worn soon. Her future was about to change and it gave her butterflies in her tummy. Soon her mother would refer to Takewaki as her Son-In-Law and not just the boyfriend of her eldest daughter. Imagining their future together…Living together….Sharing the same bed…..and maybe even a son of her own one day. She didn't mean to pick favorites but she always wanted a son of her own; a little boy she could raise to be like her lover and her late father. But of course if she had a girl she could love it just as equally and protect it with her life. What if she had twins? What if she ended up with 5 kids? 10 kids?

"Gah!" She muttered slapped her forehead. She scolded herself mentally for getting too far ahead of herself.

"Ayame!" Her thoughts were interrupted and in the evening sunset she could make out the tall figure of an absolutely handsome young man. He was standing beside the kazekage palace, just where she was headed. She approached him, with a blissful smile but stopped short when he returned it with a sad and concerned look.

"Tatewaki-San, what is the matter?" she asked reaching for him but he backed up slightly. That stung a lot.

"Ayame-Sama please I must speak you too…." He whispered his golden eyes full of worry.

"My darling whatever could be wrong with you?" she asked him taking ahold of his large tan hand in her delicate pale ones. The young man stared upon his lover of many years, such a wonderful beauty she was to him. It stung him so much knowing what he had to do to her.

"I am going to be completely straight up with you Ayame." He said finally, "Our wedding….I have come to request that we move our wedding to another date." She stared up at him in pure confusion, where did this come from?

"Um…another date as in a few days later? A couple weeks later?" she asked him hoping to get a clearer message out of him.

"More like 2 years later." That hit ayame like a bombshell.

"2 years? You're joking right? PLEASE TELL ME YOUR JOKING!" she practically screamed.

"Lord Kazekage has requested me to go on a mission long term with a team of elite Jounin and AUBU-"

"AUBU?" she cut him of frantically. "What do you mean ANBU? Why the hell wasn't I informed of this?"

"I didn't know I was required to inform you of everything I do." Takewaki replied crossing his arms over his chest. "Anyway it's a mission to infiltrate the hidden mist-" Ayame cut him off once more.

"That's not what I meant! I meant why haven't I been told of this? Why am I staying here?"

"Well I guess lord Kazekage didn't want you in on this one." He replied. "You can't have them all Ayame."

"Well did you tell him that we are getting married and-" This time it was Ayame's turn to get cut off.

"Of course I did!"

"Then why are you leaving?" She asked him, a mixture of anger and sadness filled her voice. "You have the power to refuse."

"Ayame you of all people should know that it's never that simple to just "refuse" an order. But most of all it would be going against my moral values as well as yours."

"Moral values? What the FUCK is that supposed to mean?" she screamed. Tatewaki was taken aback by her tone. She had never spoken to him that way.

"You know what I mean Ayame." He answered. "I would never refused a mission like this and I know for a fact that you wouldn't refuse it either so don't go acting hypocritical."

"But this time is different! We are about to become a family! We have waited for this day for so long!" She said, feeling a tear come to her indigo eyes. "Doesn't that mean anything to you? What about me? Are you really going to leave me here for 2 years waiting and hoping you get back alive?" Tatewaki let out a heavy sigh, he expected she would be difficult and his theory was proven to be very much correct.

"Ayame please don't make this any harder. It pains me as well to be away from you for so long but-"

"Then let me come with you! Then we will be together and I can help you!"

"Ayame you know that's not a good idea. It doesn't matter if your one of the elite, you got to sit this one out. And maybe separation would be good for us."

"Separation good for us? We were nothing but separated before we built this village."

"And maybe building this village has given us a clear message on where we stand." He said firmly, his gaze making her feel tiny and slightly frightened. "Ayame I am going on this mission WITHOUT you whether you like it or not. Request to be deployed out north if you can't stand being alone but I've made my final choice." Ayame just stared up at him. This wasn't the same man she had grown to love and adore. She had noticed he had changed a lot since the world stopped being at war but she had not known the full of extent. Ayame turned her head so she didn't have to look at him and she didn't want him to see the acid tears that she couldn't control. She felt his warm hand on her neck and his lips come close to her ear.

"Darling I promise you that we will get married as soon as I return." He whispered lovingly in her ear. "Trust me 2 years will go by faster as long as you can keep your busy." What happened next was something nobody would have predicted. Ayame raised her hand and struck it hard against his face. The cracking of skin against skin filled the air and all went silent. Tatewaki drew his head back, hand clutching his redden face. She finally raised her head to look him in the eyes.

"Fuck you." She whispered her voice filled with pure anger and malice.

"Ayame..." he spoke softly, his voice hurt. He reached for her but she gave a snarl and swatted him away.

"Don't you touch me!" She cried. His eyes flashed dangerously at her but she didn't care. She turned around and took off running down the road, her meeting with the Kazekage long forgotten at that moment. She heard his voice calling to her but she didn't turn around. She just kept running and running. She ended up running all the way across the village without stopping. She ignored the pain in her legs and just kept running in some futile hope that she would be able to run away from the nightmare that filled her head. She didn't hold back the heavy cries of pain. She was unaware of how she had gotten to her home but somehow she did. Maki was in the front of the wooden entrance to the compound playing with a handmade doll with Karina and Hana when their big sister had appeared.

"Hey its big sister Ayame!" Hani cheered with a toothy grin. "Sister come play with us!" But to the little girls' dismay and to her much more mature sisters concern Ayame ignored them and ran into their house.

"Hani and Karina clean up your toys and bring them in the house play time is over." Maki ordered the young girls.

"But sister!" They both wined but stopped at their sister's stern look.

Ayame ran down the hallway and slammed her bedroom door shut and that was when she let out all her emotion. She let herself scream out all the sadness within and the anger she was feeling. Of course her screams would attract the attention of her mother as well as younger sisters but ayame ignored their pleas of concern. She hated him. He was the one she loved the most and he betrayed her. Out of pure furry she grabbed a photo of him that sat upon her dresser and heaved it at the wall. She felt a sense of satisfaction as well as more anger as she watched it shatter. Breathing hard, she slowly removed the engagement ring that lay nicely on her ring finger. Right at that moment she wanted to destroy it, take all her anger out upon it. But her muscles wouldn't allow her. She felt her rage die down and it turned into cries of sadness and agony.

End of Flashback

Ayame was awoken by a chilled air upon her shoulders. Her Black hatori had slid of her shoulders and her bare arms were exposed to the morning air. She slowly stood up upon the tree branch stretching out her stiff limbs to try and get the circulation back in them. Forgetting for a moment her mask was still upon her face she removed it and let the air hit her sticky face. It felt very good. For someone who had slept on a tree branch all night in the feedle position she sure felt refreshed and full of energy. Strapping her war fan back upon her back she draped the hatori back over her shoulders and gracefully took off through the tree branches. She knew she still had to be very quiet; it was early and she didn't want to risk attracting attention. She soon landed upon a branch that led back into the village and peered out over it. To her surprise there were a lot of people out. Back in Suna you were more likely to find a lot of people out at night because it was far too hot to train during the day. She even noticed a lot of people coming out of the Kage's palace. Her green hair, which had fallen from its bindings, had blown in the breeze. She brushed her long bangs which concealed the Suna symbol on her black headband out of her pale face.

"Oh what shall I disguise myself as today." She said out loud to herself as she folded her arms behind her head and leaded back against the tree trunk. She knew she had a mission to complete and find out the Iwagakures hidden secrets. Suddenly alarms went off in Ayames mind; she detected someone coming in her direction, and they were moving very fast and were very close. She slipped her mask back on and concealed herself and her chakra as well, higher up in the tree branches.

"You're back so soon." Spoke a very calm and masculine voice. Ayame sucked in her breath as to her horror the Iwagakure's leader appeared in her clear line of sight. He had his long black cloak draped over his tall body but his hood was down this time. Suddenly in a flash of red and black a woman appeared before him. She was tall and dressed in a suit of black plated armor with swords strapped to her back and a full head of red hair pinned up on top of her head in blue pins. "So how did it go?"

"It went well!" She replied in a very familiar loud and chirpy voice. "Nothing out of the ordinary and Boy did I get in some good exercise!" After watching her for a moment she soon realized who she was looking at. It was that Saiko women again, the Tsuchikage's assistant. They started to have a conversation, but they started speaking in low tones that she couldn't really make out from her distance and they soon began walking back to the village.

"Anyway why are you here? You didn't have to meet me here." Saiko sneered, stretching her long arms behind her head as she walked down the dirt path beside the tall kage. "You afraid someone's going to kill me and you lose the one person who will willingly do your crap for you?"

"Just out for a walk, and by the way that crap got dumped on someone else so don't worry." Muu replied. "Go to your son, he needs you."

"He will be fine for the time being. What's up with you?" she asked. "If the attacks are what's bothering you you're not alone."

"There will be a funeral for those two today." Muu said, his violet eyes drifting to the morning grey sky. "I had to inform the family of that Shinobi that was found floating down the river."

"I see." Saiko guessed that informing the families would not be easy. They had just recovered from an attack from the hidden mist and losing more people was the last thing they needed. Especially because they had a new kage and there was still a lot of damaged that needed to be repaired. The pair walked in silence the rest of the way before the sound of a voice that was music to saiko's ears called out.

"Mommy! Mommy!" They turned to see a tiny figure with messy red hair and apple green eyes running toward them. Saiko felt a warm smile across her face.

"Hideo!" She crouched down on one knee with open arms and swept the little boy off his feet into a loving embrace.

"I missed Mommy! A lot!" he said, smiling a big smile that still lacked many teeth. Saiko could only giggle.

"Well I missed you a lot." She said tickling his nose causing him to giggle himself. The little boys' eyes fell on the tall man that was staring down upon him.

"Good morning sir." He smiled.

"Good morning young man" Muu replied placing his hand upon the little boys head. "I trust you are recovering from your illness?"

"Oh yes! Now that you mention it what are you even doing outside young man?" Saiko asked raising a red eyebrow at the little boy.

"Its so boring inside!" He pouted crossing his arms. "Besides I feel so much better! Check my forehead mommy!" He said pointing to his forehead. Saiko brushed his red bangs out of his face and placed his hand upon his face and let out a sigh. It wasn't a bug surprise that he still had a slight ever.

"Hideo." She said sternly taking his chin in her hands forcing him to look her in the eye. "You're still burning with fever. Go back home right now!"

"But mommy! I feel fine! Honest-!"

"I don't care!" she said pointing down the road. "Go back home and we will discuss this later." She set him down and pushed him toward the direction of their home but he turned around instantly.

"I don't wanna! I wanna be outside!" He shouted stomping his little feet. Both Muu and saiko raised an eyebrow at the sudden outburst.

"Hideo." She said her voice clearly trying to warn him to stop but of course he didn't.

"Mommy is mean! I want to stay outside!" He shouted stomping his feet harder. Saiko hated temper tantrums but it was a big part of having a 5 year old.

"Hideo I will count down from 5 and I expect you to be marching you little bottom back to our house right now!" She said almost shouting. "Five"

He didn't move.

"Four."

Still didn't move.

"Three."

Still didn't move.

"Hideo-Chan I Suggest you listen to your mother." Muu warned crossing his arms.

"Two."

"Mama your ugly when your mad."

"Oh no you didn't!" The little boy, regretting his words, screamed and took off running as his mother chased after him. Muu watched in slight amusement as she of course caught him and slung him over her shoulder. He was screaming while she was uttering from angry words toward him as she carried him home. Leaving them to deal with their family problems Muu decided to go back and finish some work. There was paper work on his desk that required his signature in about 10 different places.

The stones walls of the Kage's palace came in handy to Ayame because not only were they easy to scale but when covered in a black cloak she blended in very well. She had shed the idea of wearing a disguise or transforming because that led to many downfalls the last time.

It was still very early in the morning and the rough wind blew in the young woman's face as she scaled up the walls, chakra keeping her feet and hands stuck to the wall. It gave her slight discomfort due to the fact her war fan was adding a lot of extra weight but she had to keep it close by in case of an emergency. It wasn't long before she came upon a window. Keeping focus and controlling her chakra enough to keep her attached to the wall was difficult due to the fact that she was so high up. As she tried to make her way to the window Ayame was hit with a sudden gust of powerful wind and it was in that brief moment when Ayame lost connection with the wall. She let out a yelp as she felt herself falling. Scrambling she managed to grab onto a part of the wall that was uneven. As she clutched it the wind blew hard once again forcing her back to slam against the wall with a loud clang.

"Shit!" she said out loud as her nails dug into the wall trying to keep a good grip.

"Hey! What was that noise?" A faint voice said in the inside. Ayame felt her blood freeze instantly. She instantly scrambled upward a high distance above the window before it was flung open. She saw the head a ninja looking out the window but she guessed he was with several other people. They looked back and forth trying to find the source of the sound. She held her breath. Ayame felt something warm go down her arm and realized that she clipped herself slightly. Unable to move her hand she watched helplessly as a drop of blood slid down her arm and down the wall. It went at a slow pace but the man was taking his time looking out the window. He clearly saw nothing so why keep looking? She let out a breath when he finally closed it as the drop hit the glass with a silent splat. She forced herself to wait a painful few minutes before relaxing. She detected that whoever was there had been gone by this point.

She let out a sigh of relief when she made it through and was on solid ground in one peace. Hood up and cloak draped over her shoulders she crept her way down the dark hallway. It was dark indeed and Ayame was surprised to find so little life and movement in that part of the tower. She guessed that she was in the back where not a lot of people went. That was the same for the Kazekage tower as well with the exception that it was a lot smaller than the tsuchikages. She still was going to be watchful, making slow and short movements.

"Aha!" Ayame managed to jump away in time before a long sword was able to slash her. She landed gracefully on both feet with several ninja in front of her. She counted about 4 of them, 3 male and one female. The female was holding a lantern that was admitting enough light for Ayame to recognize the shinobi that looked out the window. "You fell for it! I knew that you were there all along!" Screamed the man who was clutching a long sliver sword. He was fairly young, with blue eyes and brown hair. She guessed he was around her age. In fact all they looked really young and she guessed not very high in the ranks. She gave a dark chuckle, and then spoke not adding a lot of emotion of her voice.

"I give you credit for sneaking up on me like you did." She said standing up. "But now that you caught me I can't let you go." She clutched a knife hidden in her pouch.

"Do you really think we will let you go what you please?" Said the young girl, she was trying to act tough but Ayame could see she was shaking.

"Don't underestimate the hidden stone!" said the big guy that stood behind him. She was ready when they came at her, the three men armed with swords and the woman staying behind. As three swords came upon her she managed to block the blow with the side of her fan, they collided together with a loud bang. With a loud whoosh her fan slid open knocking all their swords away and with a strong burst of wind chakra all of them were thrown back against the wall. The sound of the lantern shattering could be heard and it soon became a lot darker with the small light from the window being admitted. Weaving a hand seal before they could respond her hands began to glow a bright orange. Several Orange flame balls were formed and they began to circle the air. The young ninja detected a sudden warmth in the atmosphere and were on their feet instantly.

"Die you weakling!" Ayame shouted as she commanded the flames to attach to them. They were on their feet and out of the way instantly but the bigger shinobi was not so lucky as he tripped while trying to escape. He was suddenly covered in a red aura.

"Oh GOD!" He screamed, "SOMEONE HELP ME!" He screamed in agony as blood began to pop out of his eyes and mouth as his corpse began to shrivel up into mush. The woman screamed, and the two other Shinobi backed away, fear in their eyes. Ayame took a step toward them, feet stepping the in the pile of blood forming. "No please! Spare us!" They screamed, getting on their knees. The young woman still paralyzed to even move. She didn't say a word but commanded the fire balls to attack them. They all screamed and tried to run. The two remaining fire balls flew forward hitting the two men. They died instantly but not before screaming in agony. More blood was formed on the floor. The last one was dodged and disappeared as it hit the stone wall. The young woman fell to her knees, blood staining her blond hair. "Please! I won't tell anyone I promise!" She screamed, tears running down her face.

"Sorry Hun, But no can do." Ayame suddenly swung her fan in the form of a club hitting the young woman causing her to fall over in pain.

"Please! I want to live!" She covered her face with her hands but that didn't stop ayame from kicking her in the stomach and straddling her. She struggled, kicked and fought despite getting her skull bashed.

"Fuck you!" She screamed before slashing her fingers toward Ayames face and ripping off her mask. It went flying and hit the wall with a thud. There was a moment of silence as they two women met eyes. Ayames indigo eyes, hardened from war, pinned the frozen girl with her gaze. "Please…" She whispered. Ayame took her knife and drove it into the girl's chest. She screamed. A lot more blood was formed as the wound began to ooze the stuff. But despite it all she still managed to fight. She started to punch her; she managed to hit Ayame in the lower jaw. Recovering quickly, she ripped open the girls vest revealing her bare pale breasts and drove it into them once more. She avoided the heart, but managed to get her in the shoulder. The girl let out a cry of pain but still managed to fight. She began kicking trying to push her off. Ayame kept her knees locked in place and delivered a strong punch to her face. Soon Ayame felt herself be thrown off. Bleeding and exposed the girl tried to run but not before ayame tackled her pinning her on her stomach. She struggled, pushing against the floor to try and push her off. Ayame managed to still her for a moment by yanking her blood soaked blonde hair. "Bitch! Let me go!" She cried, tears falling from her face.

"Should you really be calling me names in your situation? You might just get hurt!" Ayame growled before using the knife to slice off the rest her vest and gave a strong cut down her back. It was not deep but enough to hurt. The girl kept squirming, thrashing her legs in attempts to free herself. "Would you hurry up and die already?!" Ayame screamed.

"You go to hell you ugly cunt!" She screamed. In furry Ayame ripped the girls skirt off and forced her knees apart. With great forced she drove the blade in-between her legs. Her struggles stopped but it didn't calm her screams.

"Who's the ugly one? You're the one covered in your own blood!" Ayame said as she continued to sodomize her with sharp knife. Her cries turned to pure agony with zero fight left. "I bet this is something your used too you ugly blond bitch!" She hissed, "I bet let your dead boy toys over there do this to you."

"No, No, No, Please stop!" She cried.

"Shut the fuck up!" Ayame screamed yanking her hair. Getting off the girl she yanked her up and threw her against the wall. Blood splattered everywhere as she fell limply upon ground. Limp, but still alive and ground in pain. Screaming in fury Ayame pushed her on her back and drove the knife right into her heart. She did this about 30 times but the girl was silent after the 1st. She got off the girl, huffing and puffing as she stared at the bloody shower before her. The blonds body lay lifeless but her eyes were still open, open and watching her, and mocking her. Ayame did not understand where her rage was coming from, all the rage she kept inside, and from war and watching many die. "Mocking me, they were all mocking me!" With one last burst of rage she stabbed the girl in the neck, slashing her throat from ear to ear. She felt heat filling her head, and soon vomited up her stomach acid. "Blood, So much blood!" Ayame had to use to wall to balance herself, and soon ran down the hallway and jumped out the window.

It was Muu who got the first feeling something was wrong, and it was Saiko who first day the black figure jump out the window and disappeared.

"Muu-Sama what was that?!" She said frantically pointing to the figure that disappeared into the shadows. Muu himself was not sure but he knew something was wrong.

"Saiko go check out the back, I'm going to follow them!" Muu commanded throwing on his cloak and jumping out the window from his office. Saiko went the opposite direction. She ran down the hallway as fast her legs could carry her. She had that feeling that she recognized. The feeling of death and it was all over the place. Saiko turned the corner and ran down the hallway toward the restricted area that only shinobi with permission were allowed. She had sent a few Chuunin back there to gather some documents about 30 minutes ago and she had not seen or heard from them. 'Dear god please be alright.' She thought to herself as she leaped over the pillars and up the stairs. 'Curse this place for being so big.' As she was about to approach another corner her high heeled feet skidded to stop as she saw a ground of people hanging out by one of the pillars. She slowed down and realized that they were the chuunin she sent, and they were….smoking?!

"Hey you brats!" She screamed, they were on their feet suddenly.

"Saiko-Sama! It's not what it looks like-"

"Your damn right it's not!" She shouted. They all flinched at her tone, in iwagakure a pissed off saiko is known as a deadly saiko. "Please don't tell me your smoking, in here of all places!"

"…Ok I won't tell you." SLAM! In an instant, the tallest of the 4 was slammed against the wall with the red heads death grip on his neck.

"Listen here you little shit!" She hissed, "I ask you, no all four of you to do a task that's not that difficult. Fetch me a few documents! Sure you might have to hunt for them, but it wasn't that difficult!"

"Saiko-Sama we got them for you! Honest look!" Said one of the young boys, holding out a stack of files. Keeping her death grip on the slightly choking boy she inspected them painfully slow pace. The teens flinches as her eyes observed all of them. They were fearful of what she would do next, but let out a breath when she released her grip on the now suffocating boy and snatched away the files.

"Next time I catch you doing something like this I swear you will get more than just a shouting."

"Ye-esss Ma'am!" They all stuttered.

"Now…GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SIGHT!" She shouted. They were gone down the stairs in an instant. "Dumb kids." She muttered to herself.

"Geez I blame you for pissing her off." Sei grumbled hitting his friend in the shoulder. Satoki brushed him off.

"Oh come on how is this fault?!"

"You just had to offer up the smokes!"

"Hey no one forced you." He replied, "Besides, shouldn't we be worrying about those other guys, I mean they said they wanted to explore the normally forbidden area of the tower but they've been gone for a long time…."

"Yeah whatever." Sei muttered, "Let those losers get lost then they can learn what it's like to get yelled at!

Thanks for reading! Update tomorrow!

btw its the sexiest thing to learn than saiko can run and kill anyone while in 4 inch heels ;)
