Chapter 15: Forgotten Reminiscence
Cynoria had a sad expression as she said, "Do we have to go through this again? I finally got to see you again."
"What do you mean?" Aladdin questioned.
"Once again, Cynoria, I am already dead." Balthazar said, ignoring the magi.
"The spell that sealed me was altered, it slowly drained me as long as I was alive, but I guess you knew about it. Now that all I am is just rukh, I can tell you this, it wasn't your fault and I don't blame you. I still love you," Balthazar continued, as Cynoria looked on.
At that same moment, Morgiana had a strong emotion rush through her. Sadness and love, is this what Cynoria is feeling now? Morgana thought to herself. Suddenly, Morgiana saw a memory, what felt like a beautiful memory but it wasn't hers. Instead she was seeing the memory through someone else. As all of these memories started to flow in, her head started to hurt and she felt light headed.
"Cynoria, are these your memories?" Morgiana asked her, hand at her head because of the pain.
"What you're seeing, remembering or feeling now was my past, when I was human," Cynoria replied.
As if on cue, Morgiana passes out. It was like falling into a dark hole and waking up in a completely different place, seeing things as a third person, like watching a play go on.
[Cynoria's POV]
"Cynoria! Come over here!" someone shouted behind her. As she turned around, her flowing hair glistened in the sunlight, her deep blue eyes brightened when she saw the person who called out to her.
"Balthazar! Where were you? I thought we were supposed to meet here, in the courtyard, half an hour ago," Cynoria exclaimed as she ran towards Balthazar.
"Hehehe… sorry about that," he said, with a bright smile. Cynoria noticed that he was holding something. He noticed that she was looking at it and he gave it to her by putting it on her head. "Its a flower crown, I wanted to try making one but it didn't work out very well so I tried again, that's was why I was late!" he continued.
The crown was beautiful, there were all kinds or flowers and colour. "It beautiful! thank you," she smiled.
"I would say that it look much more beautiful when you wear it," he said, giving a smirk.
Suddenly one of the servants of the palace ran towards Cynoria and said, "Princess, I am sorry for interrupting but his Majesty would like to speak with the Princess immediately. It is of utmost importance."
Cynoria nodded and started walking towards her father's study, with Balthazar as her knight. "Father, you called for me?" she asked as she stepped into the study. Balthazar stood guard outside the door. The room had a large table with books, papers and bottles of ink with quills. In front of that, there was a shorter table with comfy looking chairs, and shelves filled with books after books cover the walls. Her father was sitting on one of the chairs and sitting right opposite him was a very handsome man. He had golden blonde hair that reached just over his shoulders, eyes that shone like emerald and tanned. It was like he was almost… glowing.
"Cynoria, I would like to introduce you to this person-" the king said but was cut short by the mysterious man.
"It is okay… So you're the one called Cynoria," the man stood up and walked towards her and continued, "My name is Garland, I am a messenger of the higher realm and I am here to deliver a message to the one called Cynoria. My master in the higher realm would like to speak with you."
Cynoria gasp. He's a household of the higher realm?! She thought to herself. Compose yourself Cynoria! You're a princess! She told herself. "If you don't mind my asking, why would a god of the higher realm seek me for?" Cynoria replied to the man.
The man just smiled in response. "All in good time, my lady," he replied, while taking a bow. The moment he raised his head, he disappeared into a glowing light. Both her father and Cynoria was speechless. Unable to comprehend anything that happened, Cynoria was dismissed. Immediately after she stepped outside, Balthazar just looked at her and already he could tell that something big had happened in that room.
"What happened in there?" he asked.
Cynoria could only look up at him, and told him, "It's better if we talked somewhere else but here."
