When me and Aria walk into Chem we see that Mr. Brooks isn't here yet, so we just head off to the back to get to our seats while everyone looks at us like we have two heads, whispering obnoxiously just like in every other period.

Hanna walks into class a few seconds after we sit down and heads off to her seat. Not many people pay attention to her as they are at me and Aria since she had been at school the week before. But that doesn't keep her from seeming nervous.

I do all I can not to get upset about it though, I know Aria is anxious and i want to set an example for her. So I just ignore them. But it's definitely hard. I hate that everyone is being this way towards us. Some seem sympathetic but then others are mean, and after everything these girls went through this year they deserve more than being bullied and talked about over this.

What stops the commotion though is when Mr. Brooks walks in and says. "Turn to page 394." in his impression of Snape as he walks over to his desk. "I've been waiting all year to say that." He half laughs with a smiles and starts to write on the board.

Me and Aria give each other a smile because that is one of the most famous lines in the Harry Potter series. Then we both grab for our bags so we can get our books out as he turns around from the board and looks at our side of the room.

His face drops for a second as he catches sight of us. Then he smiles and walks to us. "Good to see that you girls are back."

"How's it going Coach?"

He slightly smiles and nods. "Good." My eyes dart behind him and notice everyone is watching us. He follows my gaze and yells. "Three. Nine. Four!" That gets everyone to turn back to what they were doing. "So…" He says, turning back to us. "What's the difference between a werewolf and an animagus?" He whispers.

We both smile and try not to laugh. "An animagus has the choice to change into an animal at will whenever they want." I say.

"Werewolves have no choice but to do so during full moons." Aria finishes.

He smiles. "Ten points to both of you." He stops, like he's thinking. "You know what? I'm going to figure out houses for you guys."

I laugh. "Seriously?"

He nods. "Totally. I'll have that figured out by the end of class."

"Mr. Brooks." Mr. Hackett is at the door. "Can I see you?"

He nods. "Of course." He walks away. "I want everyone to start reading the lesson while I'm gone."

He walks out and of course everyone starts talking instead. I decide to read though because I want to keep my mind occupied, so I flip to the page he says. I thought I was doing a pretty good job, until Aria grabs my hand after saying my name a few times that I faintly hear but don't completely notice.

I lift my head off of my fist and look at her. "Hm?"

"You alright?"

I nod. "Why?"

"You were bouncing your leg like crazy and tapping your pencil rapidly on the table as you read."

"Oh…my bad." I look forward and notice the two girls in front of us are looking at us with smiles and whispering.

"Got a problem?" Hanna says from the table next to ours.

The two girls, me, and Aria look at her to see the serious look on her face. That makes them turn away, which I'm grateful for.

"Thought so." She says.

We both half smile at her when we turn back to her, "Thanks. Han." Aria says in an embarrassed tone.

"No problem."

I look back down to the book, setting my elbow on the table and resting my head in my hand. "This is a nightmare." I whisper to myself.

"Hey." Aria whispers as she slips her hand between my other hand that's on my leg.

I look at her and change my hand's position to slip her fingers between mine and squeeze.

She half smiles "It's okay."

Mr. Brooks walks in and starts his lesson. The whole time my leg occasionally bounces around to the point where I don't notice and Aria has to keep setting her hand on it to stop me.

It's amazing I made it through school today without breaking someone's face. Because free period and lunch were the hardest. Free period especially was the worst to sit through, because everyone wouldn't stop staring and talking in whispers. So I just drew in my sketchpad, put my iPod in between us to listen on the mini speaker I asked Luna if I could borrow when I saw her coming out of here from her free period, and tried hard not to look up. That is until Aria had someone text her with an unknown number and she freaked out in front of everyone.

"If you guys think this is all just a big joke then at least say it to my face!" She stands in anger and everyone that is sitting in the courtyard is watching us, my face reddening a bit. "This was serious for us! It's not funny!"

"Ria." I just have time to grab her arm before she tries to take off.

She looks at me, a mix of anger and sadness in her eyes. "What?"

"Calmese. Esta Bien." I pull her back down.

She shakes her head in frustration, watching everyone who seems to be holding in their laughs. The looks on all their faces is pissing me off enough to yell at them myself. But I thought better of it since I'm trying to keep her relaxed.

"I can't calm down." She is breathing heavy. "And it's not okay, Jessie. What they are doing is completely…"

"Their way of getting under your skin. You need to ignore it."

"Can we just go?"

"Where? We have another fifteen minutes till the bell rings."

She shrugs, "I don't know. Wherever. I just need to get out of here."

I watch her for a minute, her eyes building up in tears. Then I nod, "Yea…yea lets go."

We end up hanging out on the steps of the school. Some people here and there stare but it isn't as bad as the courtyard.

Then at lunch a few people made Hanna cry. We were hanging at a table outside school when it happened and it's not often you see her break down, but when someone goes up to her saying that her ex best friend should have died from that fall because she is completely incase then you can't blame her.

I was so pissed that Hanna had to drag me away, somehow ending up at her car as she calmed me down enough that I'm able to tell her… "They shouldn't have said that."

She shrugs, wiping away tears. "Let them think what they want."

I see the look in her eyes. They are so heartbroken that I can't help but pull her into a hug just as she let out her frustration and cries. The other girls getting to us a few minutes later.

Now when it comes to after school that's a different story because I'm sitting in our room in such a daze that it worries Aria. One minute we were doing homework and the next I completely lost my mind when someone threw a fake spider through the window yelling "A gift from Mona!"

No one is home besides us so she calls Spencer to come over and help because she can't calm me down. Hanna is with her so she's witnessing this behavior for the first time with Spencer. I had ended up on the floor, sitting up against the bench window seat between both of our nightstands.

I'm just staring into space with my knees against my chest rocking back and forth repeating the words. "I didn't mean to. No more spiders."

"She's been like this for ten minutes." Aria tells them when they get into the room. "This is the trance I told you about."

"She probably just needs time." Hanna says.

"She's done it a few times already and gets worse every time it happens." Aria says. "It takes longer to get her back to normal."

Spencer walks over to me slowly and sits on her knees in front of me. She watches me for awhile as I rock in place, staring at her in fear. "Don't hurt me."

"I'm not going to hurt you."

"No more spiders."

"No more spiders." She repeats to me, shaking her head.

I look away and stare at the floor. "Stop whining. Stop being nosy. Stop asking so many questions."

"Jessie."

I look at her. "One more word out of you and you'll disappear whether she takes the deal or not."

Spencer's face drops and she looks back to the girls. "It's flashbacks."

"What?" They say, eyebrows raise.

"Remember when you said you think she has flashbacks when she does this?"

Aria nods. "Yea?"

"They are."

"How do you know that?" Hanna asks.

"The sentence she just said. It was when we were in the car with Mona. She told her that if she didn't stop making noise she would die even if I did decide to be on the team with her." She looks back at me.

"She didn't like it when I whined." I'm looking at her, actually looking at her like I know she's there.

She watches me for a second then nods. "I know." I lower my legs to straighten out and she puts her hands on my knees. "You're back with us?"

I slowly nod, tears starting to run down my face. "Someone threw a spider through the window."

"I know."

"How…" I take a deep breath.

"Hey. You're okay." She wipes the tears away as they slide down my checks. "You're home."

"How did they know about the spider." I start to shake as I feel it crawling on me.

"People talk, Jessie." She gives me a sad look. "If one of us or Luna…anyone that knows talked about it while at school or around town then others may have overheard. Plus the full story was on the front page this morning. Reporters do their jobs well. They are better detectives than the actual cops are, so who knows what they wrote."

"Why do people think it's funny to scare someone like that."

She rubs my knee in comfort. "Because they are assholes."

I look above her and see Aria and Hanna walking over. Aria kneels next to Spencer, while Hanna sits on my bed. I feel so embarrassed that I'm acting like a child in front of them all.

"I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry?" Aria asks.

I start playing with my fingers, shifting my eyes around, "You guys went through A stuff for months. I went through it for hours and I'm worse than you."

"Jessie." Hanna says and I look at her. "We all went through a lot, but you got all of her built up anger in one shot rather than different days throughout the school year. It was ten times worse than we've gotten and that's enough to make anyone react the way you have."

I look down at my hands, they're shaking. "What if I can't get through this?" Tears slide down my face again.

Aria grabs my hands and holds them in hers. "You will, and we'll help you. It'll take a bit of time but you will." I watch her and Spencer stand up, they both help me to my feet.

"We all will." Hanna says from beside us.

I watch them as tears continue to stain my cheeks. "All I hear is her voice in my head, her face when I close my eyes. My dreams are now nightmares again every night because of her." I sniff as I try to hold back my urge to cry, shifting my eyes away from their concerned faces. "I…I don't..." I can't hold it back anymore and break down.

They both don't hesitate to pull me into a group hug, and Hanna jumps into it.

"I got an idea." Aria says when she pulls away. "I know it's not something you like doing because it gets you upset but I think we should."

"Okay?" I wipe away my tears.

"We should go to the storage space you have and look for some of the home videos from when we were kids."

"Seriously?"

She nods. "Again. I know you don't' like it because your parents and Jeff are in it, but there were a lot of good times and hilarious moments growing up that your dad caught on his camera."

"I don't know, Ria."

"I think it's a good idea." Spencer says.

"Me too!" Hanna half yells. "I didn't know you guys as kids. I think it would be cool."

I look at them for a few seconds, then I finally nod. "Oh fine."

"Yesss." They say cheeringly.

"I'll drive." Spencer says.

"But it's your birthday. Don't you want to do something a bit more thrilling?"

"More thrilling than seeing you as a weird little kid?" she slightly smiles and makes me laugh. "Not a chance."
