Chapter 34:
"Oh! My head!", Taranee said as she woke up to find herself lying on a bed in the Nurse's Office. "What happened?"
"You fainted.", came Hay Lin's voice to which Taranee turned to see her friend sitting next to her bed in a chair with a happy smile on her face.
"I had this weird dream that Nigel and I were Homecoming Nominees.", Tarnee said while rubbing her forehead.
"Yeah. About that.", Hay Lin said. "That... wasn't a dream, Taranee."
"What!?", Taranee questioned. "You mean..."
"Yep!", Hay Lin said with a chipper smile. "You and Nigel are in the running for Homecoming Lord and Lady!"
"Wow!", Taranee said letting it sink in. "I... I can't believe it."
"Well believe it!", Hay Lin said smiling.
"But then that means that Will and Caleb are in the running as well.", Taranee said.
"Don't worry about it.", Hay Lin said. "I don't think the school will vote for a couple that has broken up. So that's one couple out of your way."
"Now that just cold."
Hay Lin and Taranee turned to see Will standing a few feet from them with a smile on her face.
"Congrats, T.", Will said happy for her friend. "Just so you should know, you've got my vote."
"Thanks.", Taranee said returning the smile. "So how are you going to deal with you and Caleb being nomineed?"
"Simple. I'll just drop out.", Will said. "No need for me and Caleb to be in the running if we're not together. Besides. I'll truly be out of the running. Right Hay Lin?", she asked with a playful smirk.
"I have no idea what you're talking about.", Hay Lin said with an innocent look getting a laugh out of Will and Taranee.
Soon school was over with and students piled out of school to do whatever they had planned. As for those doing sports, they of course, had to stay behind for practice. As for our heroes, those that had practice for their sport stayed behind while the others headed home. Of course, Nigel decided to walk Taranee home before going over to Matt's for band rehearsal.
"Can you believe it, Nigel!?", Taranee questioned with a smile. "You and me. Homecoming nominees! I still can't believe it! I wonder who nomineed us."
"Ummmmm... We did.", Nigel said.
"What?", Taranee questioned.
"Me, Matt, Eric, Micheal, Angelo, Drake, Aldern, and Martin.", Nigel confessed.
"But... Why?", Taranee questioned.
"Well... Matt and I were walking to our class last week and we overheard you and Alchemy talking.", Nigel explained. "We overheard you saying that no one would even nominate a girl like you. After hearing that I decided to prove you wrong. In a good way mind you."
"So you and the guys nominated us.", Taranee figured. "Be even with you guys, we still needed more votes.", she said before it hit her. "So that means..."
"That a lot of people think highly of you.", Nigel said as he held Taranee's hand. "So don't ever think so low of yourself again."
"I won't.", Taranee said before kissing Nigel on the cheek. "And thanks."
"Anytime, Taranee.", Nigel said as they continued their way to the Cook home. "Anytime."
Later that evening, Selece was finishing getting ready for her date with Angelo. Once she was done with practice, she left the school and took off for home as fast as she could. And having the wind at your back helping you go faster, was a plus. Once home, she began to work on some of her homework until it was time to get ready for her date. But before she knew it, it was time to get ready. She went to her closest and laid out the outfit she picked to wear and then headed for the bathroom to take a shower. Once she got her shower, she dried off herself and her hair and headed for her bedroom with a towel wrapped around herself. Once in her room, she began to work on her hair which didn't take long before she put her outfit on and asked her mother to help her with her make-up.
"Hold still, Selece.", Hanna said to her daughter as he was applying some make-up on her daughter. "You're all fidgety."
"Sorry. I'm just nervous.", Selece said to with her mother giggled. "What's so funny?"
"You remind me of myself on my first date.", Hanna giggled. "I was just as nervous."
"Was it with dad?"
"No.", Hanna said. "I didn't meet your father until Junior year. Now as for my first date, I was so nervous that I almost forgot to put my shoes on.", she said with a giggle along with Selece. "But in the end, I had a great time. And so will you.", she said as she finished applying make-up on her daughter. "That should do it."
"But I don't see anything?", Selece said as she looked in the mirror.
"That's the point.", Hanna said. "The key is to look like you're not wearing any make-up."
"Cool!", Selece said before hugging her mother. "Thanks, mom."
"Oh! My little girl is growing up!", Hanna said as she returned the hug.
Just then the doorbell rang. Donald answered the door to see Angelo standing there dressed in a pair of black jeans and a blue dress shirt with white sneakers. His hair was in their usual dreads.
"Hello, Angelo.", Donald said.
"Hi, Mr. Robertson.", Angelo said. "I'm here to take Selece to the movies."
"She's getting ready now.", Donald said as he notice John sitting in his car. "Go on inside and wait for her. I'm going to go talk to your uncle."
"Okay.", Angelo said as he went inside to wait for Selece.
"What's up, man?", Micheal said as Angelo walked into the living room.
"Just waiting for your sister.", Angelo said as he sat with Micheal onto the couch.
"Man, you should of seen her when she came home from gymnastics practice.", Micheal laughed. "She went straight to doing her homework before she got ready for your date. Once it was time to get ready, she was in and out of the bathroom before you know it. She almost ran me over getting to the bathroom!"
"Wow!", Angelo said just as they heard footsteps coming from the stairs.
"Good luck, man.", Micheal said as he and Angelo pounded fist.
"Thanks.", Angelo said just as Selece walked into the living room with her mother. "Whoa!", he said to himself once he got a good look at Selece and what she was wearing.
Selece was dressed in a light blue mini-skirt with nylon stockings and light blue short heel shoes a red blouse with a light blue vest with a small red purse on her shoulder and earrings with red gems in them. Her hair was in a pony tail that started at the top of her head.
"You look... great.", Angelo said to Selece who smiled.
"Thanks.", Selece said. "So do you."
"Thanks.", Angelo said. "So you ready to go?"
"Yeah!", Selece said as they headed for the door.
"You two have fun.", Hanna said smiling.
"We will.", Selece said as they left the house.
"So, young man, when will you be bringing your girlfriend around here.?", Hanna asked her son.
"In due time.", Micheal said with a cheesy smile. "I'm actually having dinner with her and her family tomorrow night."
"Really now?", Hanna questioned. "Well, I wish you luck tomorrow."
"Thanks.", Micheal said as he sat back on the couch to watch some TV. "I'm going to need it."
Now outside the house, Donald and John were talking about things when they saw Angelo and Selece coming towards them.
"Look at them.", John said. "They're growing up, Donald."
"Indeed they are, John.", Donald said with a grin. "Make you realise how old we're getting, huh?"
"Yeah, but I say that you only as old as you feel.", John said.
"Dang straight!", Donald said with a laugh as the two teen got walked up to the car.
"What's so funny?", Angelo asked.
"Just two 'old' friends talking.", John said with a smile. "So you two ready to go?"
"Yes.", Angelo and Selece said.
"Then let's get going.", John said as he got in the car.
"You two have fun.", Donald said as he walked up to his daughter and kissed her on the forehead. "And I know I don't have to say this, but keep my daughter safe.", he said to Angelo.
"She's in good hands, Mr. Robertson.", Angelo said with a smile that Donald returned before headed ing for the house.
"Me Lady.", Angelo said as he opened the back door for Selece.
"Why thank you, kind sir.", Selece said as she got in the car.
Angelo then closed the door and got in the back on the other side. They then buckled up before John drove off. Selece waved to her father who drove off as they drove off. Donald then headed inside the house to have dinner with the rest fo his family. As for Angelo and Selece, it was pretty quiet between the two of them and John saw this. He couldn't help but grin to himself know why they both were so nervous.
"So how are you adjusting to Sheffield, Selece?", John asked trying to get them to talk a bit.
"I'm doing pretty well.", Selece said. "I made the gymnastics team and made friends with a lot of the team."
"That's good.", John said. "Now how are the both of you adjusting to the whole Guardian thing?"
"It has its moments.", Selece said. "But we haven't had any action in the last week or so."
"We figure that whoever is sending those robots is waiting for the right moment to strike.", Angelo said. "We just don't know when."
"Well, from what mom and pop told me about the adventures they've had, the big bad will strike just when you think things are going to be okay.", John said. "So be careful."
"We will.", Angelo said. "We've been doing some training every other day to kep our skills up."
"That's the best thing you can do.", John said as he pulled into the diner Angelo told him about. "And here we are.", he said. "Now be sure to call me when you need picking up."
"Yes, Sir.", Angelo said as he got out of the car and went to let Selece out as well.
"And kids.", John said getting their attention. "Be sure to call and let me know if you're going to be late handling any emergencies.", he said talking about their Guardian business.
"Yes, Sir.", both teens said with a nod before John drove off.
Angelo and Selece smiled at each other before going into the diner to get something to eat. Elsewhere, Aldern and Cassidy were sitting on the porch of the Vanders' home enjoying the sunset as well as the privacy they had.
"This is nice.", Cassidy said as she leaned against Aldern who had an arm wrapped around Cassidy.
"It is. Isn't it?", Aldern questioned with a smile as he held Cassidy a bit closer. "So do you wish to go to this Homecoming Dance with me?"
"Of course.", Cassidy said. "Who else would I go with?"
"Well I was told that it is custom to ask one you like to these dances.", Aldern explained.
"Well... That's true.", Cassidy said. "So you did the right thing. Just next time you only have to ask if I'd like to go to the dance, seeing as we're together."
"Okay.", Aldern said. "So I heard that I'll have to wear a suit."
"Yes, you will.", Cassidy said. "Just like I will be wearing a dress."
"I look forward to seeing what you'll be wearing.", Aldern said.
"I bet you will.", Cassidy said with a smirk before they share a kiss.
They then went back to watching the sunset together. Now, after eating their meal, Angelo and Selece headed for the theater that was right next to the dinner.
"So what movie do you want to see?", Angelo asked Selece as they stood in the line that led to the ticket booth of the theater.
"Hmmmmm... How about that new comedy.", Selece suggested. "I could use a good laugh after the long week we had."
"Couldn't agree more.", Angelo said. "Especially after today. Who would have thought that Will and Caleb would be one of the nominees for Lord and Lady?"
"What I'd like to know is who voted for them?", Selece questioned. "The voting for nominees started on Monday. By then everyone knew about them being broken up."
"So whoever did it, would have to benefit from them being nominated.", Angelo replied. "And that only leaves one person."
"Caleb.", they both said figuring it was him.
"So do we tell Will?", Selece asked.
"I don't think we should.", Angelo said. "It may cause more problems then there already are. Plus, we don't know if it was Caleb who got this going."
"True.", Selece said. "Speaking of Caleb, can you believe that he and Irma are dating? It's only been a week since they broke up with Will and Matt."
"It may sound weird, but maybe they found comfort in each other.", Angelo said.
"That or they're doing this to get to Will and Matt.", Selece said.
"Possibly.", Angelo said. "Only time will tell."
"I guess you're right.", Selece said.
"Okay. That's enough talk about the others.", Angelo said. "Last I checked we were on a date. So let's enjoy it. Okay?"
"Okay.", Selece said with a smile that Angelo returned as they finally got up to the ticket booth.
Angelo paid for the tickets to the movie and he and Selece went into the theater where Angelo bought a large thing of popcorn for them to share along with some drinks and headed to the movie. Once there, they found a good seat and sat down just as the movie was about to begin. As they were watching the movie, Angelo couldn't help but take a glance at Selece ever now and then and notice how great she looked. He always knew she looked great, but now it was... different.
'Me and Selece.', he thought to himself. 'It could happen.', he thought with a smile as he went back to watching the movie.
As for Selece, she took a quick glance at Angelo and smiled to herself. After all this time, she finally was on a date with him. And to make it even better, it was her first date all together.
'This is so great!', Selece thought to herself as she went back to watching the movie.
Sometime later, the movie was over and Angelo called his uncle to come pick them up. Soon they were home and Angelo is now walking Selece up to her home.
"So... Here we are.", Angelo said as they stood at the door of Selece's home.
"Yeah.", Selece said with a smile. "I had a great time."
"Me too.", Angelo said returning the smile. "The movie was great."
"Yeh.", Selece said with a small laugh thinking about a scene from the movie. "Thanks for taking me to the movies."
"Sure thing.", Angelo said.
"So what are you doing tomorrow?", Selece asked.
"Well Will wants to help me with my powers seeing as we have the same abilities.", Angelo said. "I heard Taranee has been doing the same with Alchemy."
"Hay Lin has been doing the same with me.", Selece said. "To bad Irma and Caleb won't accept any help from Cassidy and Cornelia."
"Yeah.", Angelo said. "So what will you be doing tomorrow?"
"Working on some songs with Matt and the guys.", Selece said. "We have a gig coming up."
"Oh yeah!", Angelo said. "Micheal told about it the other day. I hope you guys do okay."
"Thanks.", Selece said with a smile. "So I guess I'll see you later then."
"Yeah. Later.", Angelo said before Selece kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for taking me out.", she said before going inside the house.
"Whoa!", Angelo said to himself before heading back to the car where John saw what happened.
"You okay there, Angelo?", John asked his nephew as he drove off.
"Y-Yeah.", Angelo said with a smile. "I'm fine."
John said nothing as he drove home. As for Selece, she went up to her bedroom to get ready for bed when her mother was just coming out of the bathroom.
"So how was your date?", Hanna asked her daughter.
"It was... fine.", Selece said smiling as she walked past her mother and into her bedroom.
"I bet it was.", Hanna said with a smile as she headed for her and her husband's bedroom.
As for Selece, once in her bedroom, she changed into her nightgown and got in bed. Yet she couldn't sleep as she replayed her date with Angelo.
"I never thought this would ever happen.", she said to herself smiling. "But it has. And I feel great!", she said as she did her best to go to sleep.
As for Angelo, once he got home, he made his way up to his bedroom and got ready for bed. He changed into a pair of sleeping pants and got in bed while thinking about his date with Selece.
"Tonight was pretty great.", Angelo said. "But can it become something more or what? Maybe I should just stick with going on dates with Selece. But then again, part of me wants to see what dating Will is like. Aw, man! Why can't I just make up my mind? Well, I'll be hanging with Will tomorrow. I'll see what happens then.", he said as he tried to get some sleep.
The next day, Selece and Micheal were up and ready to go to Matt's place to work on their songs for their upcoming gig. They got cleaned up, had their breakfast, and then headed out to Matt's place on their bikes.
"So how was you date, with Angelo?", Micheal asked his sister as they rode their bikes.
"It was fun.", Selece replied with a smile.
"Any chance of an upcoming second date.", her brother asked.
"Maybe.", Selece said with a small smile. "I'm not sure."
"Well, you can always ask him out.", Micheal replied.
"I know, but... I'd like for him to ask me out again.", Selece said with a shy smile. "But..."
"But?", Micheal questioned. "But what?"
"Will.", Selece said sadly.
"What about, Will?", Micheal questioned.
"Well, I think she may have some feelings for Angelo.", Selece replied. "They're suppose to be doing some training today."
"Oh.", Micheal said. "Well they've known each other for a long time. Even before we met them."
"Yeah.", Selece said.
"But, she just broke up with Caleb.", Micheal said. "Don't you think it's to soon for her to have feeling for somebody else?"
"Well look at Irma and Caleb.", Selece said. "They're dating each other after only being dumped a week ago.
"True. But they could be faking it to get at Will and Matt.", Micheal said as they turned a corner.
"Maybe. Maybe not.", Selece said. "And if they're not faking it, then who's to say that Will hasn't developed feelings for Angelo. After all, they did used to date back in Fadden Hills before she moved to Heatherfield."
"I guess you're right.", Micheal said. "But Will knew about your date. So why would she want to spend time with Angelo the next day?"
"Well, it was only a date. A great date, but still only a date.", Selece replied. "It's not like we're a couple."
"Not yet.", Micheal said.
"My point is that Angelo can date whoever he wants.", Selece said. "For me to act all jealous would be wrong."
"Yeah but..."
"Micheal, you're my big brother and I understand that you're looking out for me.", Selece said as she smiled at her brother. "But, I'll be okay. I would love it if Angelo and I were to get together."
"But if you don't?", Micheal questioned.
"Then I would hope that he would get with someone who would do him right.", Selece said with a smile.
"Like Will.", Micheal figured.
"Yeah.", Selece said with a sad yet happy smile.
"I guess you have a point there.", Micheal said. "And who knows. Maybe you're meant to be with somebody else. Like Matt.", he said with a smirk.
"What!?", Selece questioned as she swerved a bit before getting control of her bike. "Matt!? Are you serious!?"
"Why not?", Micheal questioned. "I saw how you looked at him when we first met him.", he said causing his sister to blush a bit though you couldn't see it. "You only backed off because he was with Irma. But now that he's single..."
"Stop. Stop. Stop!", Selece said. "I an not going to try and get with Matt only after week of him breaking up with Irma."
"I'm just saying.", Micheal said as they pulled up to Matt's place to see that the garage door was closed. "Anything can happen."
"Well I don't see that happening.", Selece said as they got off their bikes and walked them up to the closed garage. "Wonder why the garage door is closed?"
"I don't know.", Micheal said as he heard some voices. "But I do hear the guys talking.", he said as he and Selece listened in on their conversation.
Moments earlier...
There Matt, Nigel, and Eric were in the Olsen garage waiting for Micheal and Selece to show up. Matt was about to open the garage door when.
"You know, Matt, you need to get over Irma.", Nigel said.
"But I am getting over her.", Matt said as he stopped what he was doing and turned to his friend. "It'll be a while, but I'll get over her."
"You could always go out with someone.", Eric suggested. "I mean Irma and Caleb are dating. Who says that you can't do the same thing."
"And who would you guys suggest I take on a date?", Matt asked with a grin.
"Well... What about Will?", Eric questioned.
"Me and Will?", Matt questioned as he looked as his friends with a questionable raised eyebrow. "You guys do realise that if I were to start dating Will, people at school will say that we're dating just to get back at Irma and Caleb."
"What do you think most are saying about Irma and Caleb now?", Nigel asked.
"You just made my point.", Matt said.
"Oh yeah.", Nigel said after thinking about it. "Then how about Selece?"
"Yeah!", Eric said. "She's single after all."
"And just went on a date with Angelo.", Matt replied.
"What's one date?", Nigel asked. "There's no law saying that you can't ask her out."
"He does have a point.", Eric said.
"True. But I think she likes Angelo.", Matt said.
"Still doesn't mean you can't ask her out.", Nigel said. "And don't say you don't think she's cute."
"I never said she wasn't.", Matt said. "It's just... I don't know. I'll think about it."
Outside the garage, Selece and Micheal were surprised by what they just heard. Especially Selece whose face was heating up from what she had heard.
"Looks like you may be getting asked out by Matt after.", Micheal said with a smirk.
"I... Wow!", Selece said as she held her hands up to her cheeks as a smile grew on her face. "What do I do?"
"Just play it cool, Sis.", Micheal said as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "If he ask you out, then take a chance and go on a date with him. What's the harm in that?"
"None I guess.", Selece said as the garage door began to open.
"Okay. Play it cool.", Micheal said as the garage door opened fully.
"Right.", Selece said as she calmed herself down.
"Hey guys.", Matt said as he stood at the opening to the garage.
"Hey!", Micheal said as he and Selece walked into the garage. "How's it going?"
"It's cool.", Nigel said as he tuned his guitar. "I have a date with Taranee tonight. So the sooner we get through these songs the better."
"I second that.", Micheal said. "I'm having dinner with Cornelia and her family tonight."
"Whoa!", Eric said. "Nervous?"
"You have no idea.", Micheal said as he turned his keyboard on. "I just hope that I make a good impression."
"Just stay calm and answer any questions to the best of your abilities and you'll do fine.", Eric said as he got ready to go over the songs they were going to play at their gig.
"But for now, let's jam!", Matt said as finished tuning his guitar.
"One! Two!", Selece said as she hit her drumsticks together. "One! Two! Three! Four!", she said before they began to play their instruments.
Meanwhile, Will had showed up at the Vanders' home for Angelo so they could do some training. She was dressed in a pair of black shorts and a pink tank-top with white sneakers. Once at the door to the Vanders' home, Will rung the doorbell and waited as she heard some footsteps. Soon the door opened to show John Vanders.
"Hello, Will.", John said with a friendly smile. "Angelo said you would be coming this morning.", he said as he let her inside.
"Yeah. I kind of figured that I could help him with his training.", Will explained.
"He told me that as well.", John said as they walked into the living room where Jun Lin was with some wedding magazines sitting on the coffee table in front of the couch she was sitting on. "And as you can see, Jun and I are working on our wedding."
"Wow!", Will said as she got a look at all the wedding magazines. "That's a lot of magazines."
"Well, we decided to combine both our cultures for the wedding.", Jun said. "So we want to get things right.", she said with a dreamy look in hr eyes thinking of the wedding.
"That makes sense.", Will said as Angelo came walking into the living room carrying a duffel bag while dressed in a pair of gray sweatpants, black and white sneakers, and a red tank-top. "Hey, Angelo. You ready to go?"
"Ready as I'll ever be.", Angelo said as they headed for the door. "Catch you guys later.", he said to his uncle and future aunt.
"See ya.", John said.
"Have fun.", Jun Lin said.
"We will.", Angelo said before he and Will left the house.
"So how was your date?", Will asked as they were walking down the street.
"It was... Nice.", Angelo said. "I had a great time."
"That's nice.", Will said. "Any chance of a second date?"
"I honestly don't know.", Angelo said. "With all that's going on with the carnival and all. Not to mention the attacks on Metamoor or any other Guardian business that may come up."
"Then it's best to enjoy the simple things in life.", Will said. "Like going on dates."
"Do you plan on taking your own advice?", Angelo asked Will.
"And who says that this isn't a date?", Will questioned with a small smirk as she walked ahead of Angelo a bit.
"Is this a date?", Angelo asked causing Will to blush a bit being glad that she was a few feet ahead of Angelo.
"W-What?", Will questioned nervously. "No! Of course not. Like I told you the other day. This is us working on our powers and havnig better control."
"So it's just you and me spending time together.", Angelo said.
"Yes.", Will said with a nod as Angelo caught up to her.
"Like a date.", Angelo said with a smirk.
"Yes.", Will said before she caught herself. "No! No!"
"To late!", Angelo laughed as he ran off ahead of Will.
"Angelo!", Will yelled as she chased after him fuming a bit.
Yet as she chased after Angelo, Will couldn't help but smile a bit at the thought of spending the day with him.
'Maybe... Maybe this could be something of a date.', she thought to herself as she continued to chase after Angelo. 'Maybe.'
Soon the both of them ended up at a bus stop and caught a city bus to Shell Beach where they ducked into a cave where Will opened a fold to a beach on Metamoor. It was then that Will took out the Heart of Kandrakar and.
"Guardians, Unite!", she said as the Heart began to glow and start their transformation.
"Quintessence.", they both said as they transformed in to their Guardian forms.
"How the heck!?", Angelo questioned surprised that Will was able to transform him.
"So Halinor was right.", Will said as she put the Heart away in her shirt.
"Right about what?", Angelo asked as he stretched his wings and ajusted his hold on his shield.
"That Cassidy and I are now able to transform more than our respectful teams in case if one of us isn't able to be there to join in a battle.", Will answered.
"Makes sense.", Angelo said as they both took to the sky above the beach. "So what do you want to work on first?"
"I really need to work on my energy control.", Will said as she tried to form a round energy ball only for her to form one that wasn't all the way round. "See what I mean? I can do energy wave and beams. But the beams aren't all that focused. I was lucky to pull off that combo attak with Taranee, on Florana."
"Then let's get to work.", Angelo said. "Then we can work on me and the lightning."
"Deal!", Will said as she and Angelo began their training.
Sensing them from her palace, Queen Elyon was busy attending to her royal duties as she sat on her throne while person after person came to her to help solve the problems they can't. On her right stood her mother Miriadel while Raythor stood on her left.
'They must be doing some training.', Elyon thought to herself when another person was let into the Throne room.
"This is, Melos, Your Majesty.", Miriadel said as she stood next to her daughter. "He represents his village which is a port town."
Melos was a middle-aged man with brown hair and blue eyes dressed in a pair of brown pants and boots with a white shirt and black vest.
"Your Majesty.", Melos said with a bow. "It is an honor to meet you."
"Greetings, Melos.", Elyon said with a kind smile. "How may I help you?"
"Well, Your Majesty, our port town provides much of the fish that goes around the kingdom.", Melos began to explain. "Most of the people in our town are either fishermen who spend most of the day fishing or farmers who go and tend to the farms we have. But lately, we've been suffering from bandits who have been attacking out town."
"That's horrible!", Elyon said.
"They demand that we give them payment for protection as well as food and drink.", Melos said sadly. "We tried to fight back and were able to hold them off for a while. But we are not soldiers. We need help in protecting our home."
"And you shall get it.", Elyon said feeling for the man and his town. "Raythor. Please send two platoons to Melos' village to capture these bandits and bring them back here to be put on trial for their crimes."
"Yes, Your Majesty.", Raythor said as Raythor began to leaves with Melos.
"Thank you, Your Majesty.", Melos said with a kind smile that Elyon returned with a friendly wave.
"Bandits.", Miriadel said getting Elyon's attention. "We never had to deal with them before. But then again, they feared Phobos and what he would do to them."
"Well I will not allow this type of thing to happen in my kingdom.", Elyon said. "If those who do wrong think they can run around doing what they want, then they got another thing coming!"
"One day at a time, daughter.", Miriadel said with a smile that Elyon returned before another person was let into the Throne Room.
Back on Earth, Wreck 55 was taking a break from practicing their songs when Taranee, Hay Lin, and Cornelia came up to the garage. Among them, Hay Lin was carrying a picnic basket while Cornelia and Taranee had some bags with them.
"Hey, guys!", Hay Lin said with a smile as she walked up to Eric and gave him a quick kiss that he returned.
"Hey!", Selece said as Taranee kissed Nigel and Cornelia kissed Micheal.
"So what brings you all here?", Micheal asked.
"Well we decided to bring you all something to eat.", Hay Lin said as she held up the basket she was carrying. "We made sandwiches!"
"Plus, we have some chips and sodas.", Taranee said as she and Cornelia held up their bags.
"I'm not complaining!", Nigel said happy to getting a free meal from his girlfriend and her friends.
"Let's eat!", Micheal said as he, Nigel, and Eric walked up to their girlfriends.
The girls handed out a sandwich, a small bag of chips, and a soda out to everyone before getting one of each themselves and sitting with their boyfriends. Which left Matt and Selece. As Selece sat on the couch she motioned for Matt to sit by her with a smile. With a smile of his own, he sat next to Selece and began to eat his food.
"So how do like being in the band?", Matt asked.
"It's... interesting.", Selece said with a grin. "It has it's fun moments. Yet working in tune with others isn't as easy as I thought it would be.", she said with a smile.
"True.", Matt said. "It takes time, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be amazed at what you can pull off."
"I like that.", Selece said. "Plus, you can have fun talking about all kinds of stuff with your friends."
"You should have heard us before you and Micheal got here.", Matt said with a grin knowing that the others were far enough away so that they wouldn't hear them.
"Actually...", Selece said with a shy smile that Matt noticed.
"Wait! You heard us?", Matt asked in surprise.
"Yeah.", Selece said glad that her completion hid her blush.
"I'm so sorry about that.", Matt said. "The guys are only trying to help me get over Irma and..."
"It's okay.", Selece said with a smile. "Actually... I'm a bit flattered.", she said getting a smile out of Matt that she returned.
"Well if that's the case, would you like to go out sometime?", Matt asked surprising Selece as she looked at him with wide eyes.
"Really!?", Selece questioned.
"Yeah.", Matt said. "There's no school, this Monday. And I have nothing planned. So what do you say?"
"Hmmmmm...", Selece said thinking it over. "You know what? Sure. I'd love to."
"Cool!", Matt said. "We can make a day out of it. I'll show you around town."
"I'd like that.", Selece said with a smile that Matt returned before they continued to eat their food.
Back on Metamoor, Will and Angelo were sitting under a tree taking a break from their training and eating a lunch that Angelo had packed in his duffel bag. It was some chicken with some potato salad, and rolls. Needless to say that they both had worked up a good appetite.
*BURP!*
"Excuse me.", Will said as she wiped her mouth with the one of the napkins Angelo brought with him. "Aw, man! Was that good!"
"Yeah! The burp says it all.", Angelo laughed getting a laugh out of Will.
Will then let out a yawn before laying on the cool grass looking up at the tree with her arms and legs stretched out. She then took a deep breath of fresh air and exhaled with a smile as she closed her eyes.
"I like times like this.", Will said as she opened her eyes and looked up at the sky. "The peace and calm. To be able to enjoy being in my Guardian form without fighting for my life or the lives of others."
"It does feel nice.", Angelo said as he finished putting the containers he packed the food in before laying down next to Will the same way she was laying. "Maybe we should come here more often. Or better yet, I could take you to Florana! The beach resorts there are great!"
"You do know it's Fall, right?", Will questioned.
"Yes.", Angelo said. "But the spot I'm talking about, on Florana, is like Hawaii. Plus, two days there is equal to one day on Earth."
"Whoa!", Will said as she sat up and turned to look down at Angelo. "So if if we were to go there Monday morning, and set some the alram on our cell phones..."
"We could end up spending twenty-four hours on Florana and be back on Monday evening on Earth.", Angelo finished.
"Wow!", Will said with a smile. "I take it that you've been there a few times."
"Yeah.", Angelo said as he sat up next to Will. "There are some interesting worlds out there."
"You know I just thought of something.", Will said.
"What's that?", Angelo asked.
"By the time we're eighteen, Xolley will be about sixteen.", Will said with a grin.
"Not really.", Angelo said getting a confused look from Will. "Time flows differently on Florana."
"But you said that one day on Earth is equal to two days there.", Will said.
"That's true.", Angelo said. "But, the rotation of that world around it's Sun is slower that Earth's rotation around our Sun."
"So in other words, Xolley along with all of Florana will age as normal as Earth and all on it.", Will figured.
"Mmm-Hmm.", Angelo said with a nod. "We'll just get more time seeing as we're from Earth and time will flow a bit different for us."
"Cool!", Will said.
"So do you want to go sometime?", Angelo asked.
"Sure. Why not? I'd love to.", Will said. "But... Let's keep this between you and me.", she said as she got to her feet. "The last thing we need is for Caleb to find out and try to ruin it.", she said as she stretched a bit.
"Good idea.", Angelo said as he got up and began to do the same thing. "He may be dating Irma, but I still think he wants to get back with you."
"Which is why I'm avoiding him unless it can't be helped.", Will said. "I need to get over him. That's one of the reasons why I asked you to come with me here today. I figured that the distance would do me some good."
"And has it?", Angelo asked.
"Actually, yeah.", Will said with a smile before taking a deep breath and exhaling. "I do feel better. I mean if we're meant to get back together, then it'll happen. But I want it to be natural. Not because I feel all sad, wanting, and desperate."
"No one wants to feel like that.", Angelo said as he looked up at the sky. "So what do you want to do now?"
"How about we see how long we can fly around?", Will suggested. "It can be a test of our stamina while having some fun.", she said as she began to flap her wings.
"Works for me.", Angelo said as he extended his wings and took to the sky with Will.
"So what was the other reason?", Angelo asked Will as they flew next to each other.
"What?", Will asked.
"What was the other reason that you asked me to come here with you?", Angelo asked.
"Oh!", Will said. "Well, besides training, I saw this as a chance to hang out like we used to before I moved.", she said with a smile.
"Cool!", Angelo said as they continued their flight before he flew a bit head and started to do some flips along with a few zig-zags.
As he was doing this, Will couldn't help but smile to herself enjoying the time she had alone with Angelo. Not to mention how well he looked in his Guardian form and realised that she was looking at his possible future self when he turned eighteen. But she shook it off thinking about Selece and how she felt about Angelo.
'Stop that, Will!', she thought to herself. 'He's dating Selece for crying out loud! She's been your friend for years! You can't just do that to her!', she thought before looking at Angelo as he slowed down his flying so she could catch up to him. 'But we never got a chance to see how far our relationship could have went because I had to move. Maybe this could be our chance to restart that. Maybe.', she thought before she was flying next to Angelo again.
"So let's see what you got!", Angelo said to Will with a smirk.
"Be careful what you wish for!", Will said returning the smirk. "I do have a bit more experience.", she said before she shot off ahead of him and began to pull off some stunt flying of her own.
"Whoa!", Angelo said amazed by how well Will was doing before he started to get a good look at her and not only saw how free she looked but also how graceful she looked as she flew through the sky.
Sure, she was no Hay Lin or Selece, but she looked happy. Plus, she looked pretty hot to him as well.
'Easy there, Angelo!', he thought to himself. 'You're dating Selece! Remember!? But then again, you two have only been on one date. And you did agree to what Cassidy suggested. Plus, you did ask to spend sometime on Florana with Will. And you can always do the same with Selece. Man! This sucks! I like two girls who are also close friends. So no matter what happens, one of them will be hurt in the end. I only hope I don't lose a friend when all is said and done.', he thought to himself as Will flew back to him with a cheesy grin proud of her flying.
"Show-off.", Angelo said as they continued to fly over the skies of Metamoor.
As they were doing this, both of them were having thoughts of what it would be like if they were together ran through their heads. Yet they did their best to keep themselves in check for they knew that they would be hurting Selece if they were to act on their feelings.
A/N: So after a date with Selece, Angelo ends up spending a day with Will. But now Selece has made plans to go out with Matt while Angelo and Will are going to be spending some more time with Will. Love is complicated, huh folks? Who knows what's going to happen next.
