Chapter 35:
Now back at the palace, Elyon was walking through the royal garden taking a break from her duties as queen. With her was Drake who she was glad to have at her side during times like this, for it was just the two of them. Soon they both were sitting under a tree she liked to sit under and do some drawings when she had the time. But right now, it was just her and Drake enjoying the peace the garden provided.
"Who knew being a queen would be so tough?", Elyon questioned as she rested her head on Drake's shoulder. "When I was a kid, I always thought that being a queen meant that I could spend the day having fun with my friends and eating sweets and drinking tes while everyone else lived a great life as I rode around on a unicorn. Boy was I wrong."
"Not the fairy tail you thought it would be.", Drake said with a grin earning a playful slap on his arm from Elyon.
"Don't get me wrong. I know I have a duty to the people. And I love helping those that I can.", Elyon said. "It's just that, I'm only fifteen. For me to make major decision that will affect other is a lot to take in. Plus, I still have school to get through. Not to mention hang with my friends and go on dates and dances. Learning how to drive and getting my first car. And I'll be dang if I'll miss Prom! Not to mention graduation. And I have dreams of going to college for crying out loud!", she cried as she began to breathe rapidly.
"But you're afraid that you won't be able to do most of those things because sooner or later you'll have to give it all up to make the people happy.", Drake figured as he saw Elyon was beginning to freak out a bit.
It was then that Drake placed his hands on Elyon's shoulders and had her look at him. And it was then that he saw her eyes begin to water. Seeing this, Drake simply smiled at her while gently wiping her eyes.
"You have nothing to worry about, Elyon.", Drake said. "Everyone here knows that you're going to school on Earth for the benefit of not only our kingdom but all of Metamoor. Plus, you come here on the weekends to fulfill your duties to the kingdom while learning what you can about your home. Not to mention you come here during the week when you are needed. You have loyal and understanding regents that help take care of things during the week. None of us would ask you to give up what you have until you are ready to be our queen full-time. You have nothing to worry about." he said making the young queen smile before she gave him a hug.
"Thank you.", Elyon said as she held on to Drake. "I needed to hear that."
"I'm just glad you're okay.", Drake said as he continued to hold her in comfort knowing she needed it.
Now in another part of the Meridian Kingdom, Angelo and Will were now back under the tree they had lunch at watching the sunset together. As they were doing this, Angelo noticed how close Will was sitting next to him and started to put a few things together.
"Will?"
"Yeah, Angelo?"
"Was there another reason why you wanted to come here today?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean the two of us, here.", Angelo said. "Alone."
"Ummmmmmmm...", Will said with a slight blush.
"Will.", Angelo said.
"Well at first, it was just so we can hang out and work on our skills.", Will said as she looked down at the ground. "But then there was a part of me that began to see this as a possible date.", she said as her blush grew.
"I see.", Angelo said.
"I'm sorry.", Will said as she looked at Angelo. "I shouldn't have done this the day after your date with Selece."
"What's the big deal?", Angelo questioned.
"But... Your date with Selece.", Will said.
"Was just that. A date.", Angelo said. "We're not a couple. We just went on a date nothing more. Maybe we might end up getting together maybe not. Only time will tell. But until then, I believe I'm allowed to go on dates with other girls. Just like you and Selece are free to go on dates with other guys.
"Oh. Okay.", Will said.
"So how about we go on a real date this Monday?", Angelo asked. "We can go to Florana."
"Ummmmm... Okay. Sure.", Will said with a smile. "I'd like that."
"Cool.", Angelo said before they went back to watching the sunset.
Later that evening, back on Earth, Will had just gotten ready for bed when her phone rang.
"Hello?", Will said answering the phone.
"Hey, Will!", came Selece's voice.
"Hey, Selece!", Will said with a smile. "What's up?"
"Nothing much.", Selece said. "Except that I have a date with Matt this Monday!"
"What!? Really!?", Will questioned in surprise. "When did this happen?"
"Earlier today.", Selece said. "What had happened was...", she said as she explained how it all went down.
"Wow!", Will said after hearing what Selece told her. "Good thing you and Micheal overheard the guys talking."
"Yeah!", Selece said smiling. "I never thought Matt would actually ask me out."
"And yet he did.", Will said. "So what are you guys going to be doing?"
"Well he's going to show me around town.", Selece said. "We'll have lunch and maybe dinner.", Selece said as she felt her cheeks heat up. "I can't believe this is happening! I'm so excited!"
"Well it is.", Will said. "So be happy.", she said feeling happy for one of her best friends.
"Thanks.", Selece said. "So... How was your day with Angelo?"
"It was... fun.", Will said with a slight blush.
"Uh-huh.", Selece said knowing Will was hiding something. "Did anything else happen?"
"Well... He did ask me out on a date.", Will confessed fearing Selece may get mad.
"Really?", Selece questioned.
"Yeah. And I said yes.", Will said as she sat on her bed. "I'm sorry, Selece. I should have said no."
"Why?", Selece questioned. "Angelo and I only went on a date. I mean look at me. I have a date with Matt this Monday. So go have fun on your date with Angelo."
"Are you sure?", Will asked.
"Of course!", Selece said with a smile. "Besides. For all we know you two may end up together while I may end up with Matt."
"Now that would be something.", Will said with a grin.
"Yeah!", Selece said with a grin of her own. "So this Monday, we go and have some fun on our dates. Alright?"
"Alright.", Will said before yawning. "And now I'm off to bed."
"Me too.", Selece said with a yawn of her own. "Goodnight, Will."
"Goodnight, Selece.", Will said before they hung up their phones.
Will then went to bed thinking about her upcoming date with Angelo as a smile grew on her face.
"Me and Angelo.", she said to herself. "It could happen.", she said as she slowly fell alseep.
Meanwhile, Selece was thinking about her date with Matt as she slowly fell asleep.
"Matt Olsen. Who knew?", she asked herself as she slowly fell asleep.
The next evening, Micheal was standing at the door of the Hales' apartment ready to have dinner with them. And boy was he nervous! But he knew what he had to do. So, after clearing his throat, he looked down at himself to make sure his clothes were clean and...
"Here goes nothing.", he said as he knocked on the door.
"I'll get it!", came a little girl's voice.
"Lillian, NO!", Cornelia yelled.
Micheal then heard the sound of footsteps coming his way. Suddenly the door opened with a little girl standing before Micheal. She had blonde hair and blue eye like Cornelia.
"Hi.", Micheal said with a friendly wave and smile.
"Hi!", the little girl said. "Who are you?"
"I'm Micheal.", Micheal said. "Cornelia invited me for dinner."
"Are you her boyfriend?", Lillian asked when Cornelia came up to the door.
"Move it, Twerp!", Cornelia said.
"Yeah. Yeah.", Lillian said as she walked off.
"Hey.", Cornelia said to Micheal with a smile.
"Hey.", Micheal said. "Well... I'm here."
"Who is it, Cornelia?", came a woman's voice.
"My guest, mom.", Cornelia said as she grabbed Micheal's hand and pulled him inside to meet her parents.
"Easy now.", Micheal grinned. "I'm not going anywhere."
"Hush!", Cornelia said with a smile as they stood before her parents.
"And who is this.", Harold asked.
"He's Cornelia's boyfriend, dear.", Elizabeth said. "Be nice."
"Mom. Dad. This is Micheal Robertson.", Cornelia said introducing Micheal to her parents. "Micheal. These are my parents."
"Nice to meet you.", Micheal said as they shook hands.
"Like wise.", Harold said.
"It's nice to see you again, Micheal.", Elizabeth said.
"So you two already met.", Harold said.
"Yes.", Elizabeth said with a smile. "Granted he and our daughter were sharing a moment."
"Mom!", Cornelia said in a whining tone.
"Cornelia and Micheal sitting in a tree!", Lillian sang in a teasing tone as she skipped around the room. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!", she sang getting a snicker out of Micheal.
"Knock it off, Twerp!", Cornelia said to her little sister.
"I see.", Harold said with a grin. "Ah! To be young again.", he said as a bell rang from the kitchen.
"Ah! Dinner is ready!", Elizabeth said as she headed for the kitchen. "Everyone please go sit at the table please."
"Time to eat, Lillian.", Harold said as he headed to the table.
"This is going to ba a long night.", Cornelia said with a sigh.
"Don't worry so much.", Micheal said before kissing Cornelia on the cheek. "Everything will be okay.", he said as he headed for the table.
Cornelia couldn't help but smile as she headed for the table and sat next to Micheal. Soon the Hales and Micheal were enjoying the meal to which Harold and Elizabeth had some questioned for Micheal. They are parents after all.
"So how are you adjusting to life on Heatherfield, Micheal?", Elizabeth asked.
"I'm adjusting pretty well, Mrs. Hale.", Micheal said. "I'm still getting to know the city, but other than that, everything is going great for me and my family."
"If you don't mind me asking, Micheal, how did you and my daughter meet?", Harold asked.
"Funny you should mention that.", Micheal said with a grin. "It was totally by accident."
"Is that so?", Harold questioned.
"Yes.", Micheal said as he looked at Cornelia who tried to hide her blush.
"Cornelia.", Elizabeth said. "Would you like to comment?", she said with a sly smile.
"Well... remember that guy I met during our Summer trip to Paris?", Cornelia questioned getting nods from her parents. "Well I decided to send him a picture of myself to him. But I instead sent it to Micheal by accident.", she said with a blush.
"And the rest is history.", Micheal said. "I replied to her and after an awkward few minutes of noting, Cornelia replied explaining the whole thing. Of course, I decided to send her a picture of myself. We then began to talk to each other and I guess you can say that how we ended up together."
"To think a small accident brought you two together.", Harold said with a grin. "Love can be a funny thing sometimes."
"Indeed it is.", Elizabeth said with a smile.
For the rest of dinner they talked about other things and had a good time. Soon dinner was over and it was getting late. So Harold drove Micheal home and of course Cornelia went along for the ride. Once at his home, Micheal was about to get out when...
"It was good to meet you, Micheal.", Harold said as they shook hands. "I hope you come over for dinner again sometime."
"I'd like that, Sir.", Micheal said. "Speaking of dinner, my mom would like Cornelia to come over sometime."
"Really?", Cornelia questioned.
"It makes sense.", Harold said with a grin. "Every mother wants to meet their son's girlfriend."
"Okay then.", Cornelia said. "How about sometime this week."
"Works for me.", Micheal said before they shared a quick kiss. "See you tomorrow."
"See ya.", Cornelia said as she watched Micheal walk to his house.
Once at the door, Micheal turned and waved to Cornelia who waved back before Harold drove off. Micheal then went inside the house and locked the door before heading upstairs. Once upstairs he was heading to his bedroom when his mother came out of the bathroom.
"So how was dinner?", Hanna asked.
"It was okay.", Micheal said. "The Hales are good people."
"That's good.", Hanna said. "I'm glad you had a good time."
"I did.", Micheal said. "And Cornelia will be coming to dinner sometime this week."
"That's good.", Hanna said. "I'm looking forward to meeting her.", she said with a yawn. "Goodnight, son."
"Goodnight.", Micheal said as he headed into his bedroom.
As for Cornelia and her father...
"He's a nice young man.", Harold said. "And he really likes you."
"I really like him, too.", Cornelia said. "He makes me happy."
"And in the end, that's what matters.", Harold said as he continued to drive home.
Soon, Monday came and both Selece was up and ready for her all day date with Matt.
"I still can't believe you're going on an all day date with Matt.", Micheal said with a grin.
"You and me both.", Selece said. "But here I am. Up and ready for our date."
"And then there's Will and Angelo doing the same thing.", Micheal added.
"A date is a date, son.", Donald said. "I've been on dates with other girls when I was your age. And so has your mother. There's nothing wrong with it."
"I know.", Micheal said. "I've been on my fair share of dates before I met Cornelia.", he said while checking his watch. "Speaking of which, I have to meet up with her around Noon."
"Which leaves plenty of time for you to hang with your old man.", Donald said with a grin just as the door bell rang.
"I'll get it!", Selece said as she got up from the couch and headed for the door.
But once at the door, Selece saw that her mother, Hanna, was there and opened it to see Matt standing there dressed in a pair of blue jeans and gray sneakers with a blue t-shirt.
"Hello, young man.", Hanna said to Matt. "How can I help you?"
"Hello, Ma'am.", Matt said politely. "I'm here for Selece."
"So you're the Matt my daughter has been telling us about.", Hanna said with a smile. "She never mentioned how handsome you were.", she said with a giggle causing Matt to blush a bit.
"Mom!", Selece said as she walked up to the door. "Don't embarrass him!"
Matt got a good look at what Selece was wearing and smiled. She was dressed in a pair of white form-fitting jeans with matching sandals and a pink t-shirt with a small white purse. Her hair was let out to flow freely.
'Wow!', Matt thought to himself.
"Alright. Alright.", Hanna said before hugging her daughter. "You two have fun today."
"We will.", Selece said before she and Matt had left for their day long date.
"Your mom is... something.", Matt said with a smile as they walked down the sidewalk.
"You can say that again.", Selece said with a giggle. "But she means well."
"Don't worry about it.", Matt said as they came to the bus stop to wait for the city bus. "You haven't met my mom yet.", he said getting a laugh out of Selece. "By the way, you look nice."
"Thanks. So do you.", Selece said with a smile that Matt returned. "So what's up first?"
"How about the boardwalk?", Matt asked. "Today is a perfect day to go seeing how it's so warm."
"Okay.", Selece said. "Sounds fun."
"Cool!", Matt said as the city bus stopped at the bus stop. "Let's go.", he said as they got on the bus.
Meanwhile, Angelo had just gotten to the Vandom's apartment and knocked on the door only to have Susan Vandom answer it.
"Hi, Angelo.", Susan said as she let Angelo inside.
"Hi, Aunt Susan.", Angelo said as he noticed how Susan was getting ready to leave. "Working today?"
"Yeah.", Susan said. "I have an important meeting today. And I need to be there early to make sure everything is set up right.", she said as she slipped her shoes on. "And now I'm off. Will! Angelo is here and I'm heading out!"
"Okay, Mom!", Will said from her bedroom.
"You two have fun today and stay out of trouble.", Susan said before kissing Angelo in the cheek.
"We will.", Angelo said as Susan left the apartment.
A few minutes later, Will came out of her bedroom and into the living room dressed in a pair of white shorts with a light blue t-shirt with white sandals and a backpack with an extra thing of clothes. She saw that Angelo was dressed in a pair of blue jean shorts that went a bit past his knees and a black tank-top and black and white sneakers.
"So you ready to go?", Angelo asked.
"Yep.", Will said looking forward to going to Florana.
"Cool!", Angelo said as they left the apartment. "Let's head to the park and we can go to Florana from there."
"Okay.", Will said as they were in the elevator of the building and rode it down to the first floor.
Once on the first floor, they headed out of the building and to the park. Once at the park, they headed behind some bushes and trees where Angelo took out a fold crystal and opened a fold to Florana. Once through the fold, Will saw that they were on a beach with white sand and crystal clear water. There were some people on the beach having fun while others were in the water doing the same.
"Wow!", Will said admiring the beauty of the place. "This is so beautiful."
"I know.", Angelo said as he went behind a thing of rocks and came back with a backpack he had set their earlier.
"Where did you...?", Will began to question when she saw the backpack he had.
"I dropped it off here before I came to get you.", Angelo explained. "I figured that Aunt Susan would be asking some questions if she saw me with the backpack."
"Good point.", Will said. "So what do we do now?"
"We kick it and have fun!", Angelo said with a smile. "But first, we check into the resort so we can have a place to put our bags.", he said as he led the way to the resort.
Once at the resort, Angelo checked Will and himself into a room so they could get changed for some fun in the Sun. Once in their room, Will went into the bathroom to get changed while Angelo changed in the hotel room which didn't take him long seeing as he just needed to put on a pair of blue swim trunks with a white tank-top, a pair of shades, and black flip-flops.
"You ready, Will?", Angelo asked when the door to the bathroom opened.
"Yeah!", Will said as she came walking out of the bathroom in a white bikini with matching sandals, a pair of shades, and a white shear wrap around skirt. "So... how do I look?", she asked with a slight blush as she rubbed her left arm while looking down at the floor with a small smile.
"Wow! You look great, Will.", Angelo said with a smile causing Will to blush a bit more as her smile grew. "You definitely have a swimmer's body."
"Thanks.", Will said. "I know it sounds silly, but a girl likes to get some compliments every once in a while.", she said as she grabbed her beach towel and bag.
"Well let me be the first to say DANG! You fine!", Angelo said getting a small laugh out of Will as he grabbed his beach towel. "You ready to hit the beach?"
"You bet!", Will said as they left their room and headed for the beach.
Back on Earth, Matt and Selece were enjoying their date at the boardwalk as they just got finished playing one fo the many games there.
"I'm having so much fun!", Selece said as she and Matt were walking down the boardwalk. "I haven't had this much fun in a long time."
"Good.", Matt said. "I'm glad you're having a great time. I have to admit that I'm surprised that you said yes to our date seeing as you just had one with Angelo. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad you said yes. It's just that I figured that you had a thing for Angelo."
"Well... I do.", Selece said. "But... maybe I have feelings for you too."
"Wow! Really?", Matt questioned getting a nod and a small smile from Selece. "Whoa! Okay then. Didn't see that coming."
"I'm sorry.", Selece said. "It's just that for the longest time, I've had feelings for Angelo. But then... I moved here and met you. So right now..."
"You don't know what to think.", Matt finished for her.
"Yeah.", Selece said with a sad smile. "I'm sorry if you think I"m trying to lead you on, but I'm not. I really like you, Matt. I just can't decided if it's you or Angelo that I want to be with."
"Don't worry about it.", Matt said as he held Selece's hand. "A choice like this must be tough. So take all the time you need. But until then, I plan on having as many dates with you as I can.", he said with a smile that Selece returned.
"Thanks, Matt.", Selece said. "But promise me something."
"What?", Matt asked.
"If I end up with Angelo, the two of us will still be friends.", Selece said.
"Of course.", Matt said with a smile. "Nothing will change that."
Selece said nothing as she hugged Matt and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Well isn't this a surprise!", came a familiar male voice neither of them wanted to hear.
"Oh no.", Matt said as he and Selece looked to see Irma and Caleb standing in front of them.
"Ummmm... Hey guys.", Selece said with a nervous smile.
"Hey yourself.", Irma said with a not so friendly smile. "So when did you two start dating?"
"Wouldn't you like to know.", Matt said knowing that Irma wanted to start something.
"Not really.", Irma said as if she didn't really care. "I just find it interesting to see you two on a date just days after our dear Selece just had a date with Angelo."
"Well, if you must know, I asked Selece out.", Matt said.
"And, of course, I said yes.", Selece said.
"Even though you just went on a date with Angelo?", Caleb questioned.
"Last I checked there was no law against dating different people.", Selece said.
"If you say so.", Caleb said while shrugging his shoulders. "I just hope Angelo doesn't do you the same way.", he said hoping to get under Selece's skin.
"Actually, he is on a date with Will.", Selece said surprising Caleb and Irma.
"Well that's unexpected.", Irma said.
"And you're okay with that!?", Caleb questioned surprised at how Selece was okay with it.
"Why wouldn't I be?", Selece questioned. "It's not like Angelo and I are a couple. We're both free to date who we please."
"And now if you two would excuse us, we have a date to continue.", Matt said as he offered his arm to Selece who took it as they walked off.
"See you two later.", Selece said leaving Irma and Caleb to continue their date.
"That was not the reaction I was hoping for.", Caleb said.
"What are you talking about?", Irma asked.
"Well... a while ago, I overheard Angelo talking to Cassidy about his feelings for Selece and Will.", Caleb began to explain as they were walking down the boardwalk. "Cassidy suggested that Angelo date both of them to see who he liked the most."
"And let me guess. You figured that Angelo wouldn't let them know about him dating them behind their backs. To which you would tell Will and possibly win her back.", Irma said getting a nod from Caleb. "Oh brother. I could have told you that wouldn't have worked, Rebel-boy. Will and Selece are best friends. And as you just found out, they know about Angelo dating them both and they're okay with it."
"Still think your idea has a chance of working?", Caleb asked.
"Maybe.", Irma said. "We just have to hope for the best."
"I guess you're right.", Caleb said. "Here's hoping we're lucky at Homecoming."
"But until then, let's go get something to eat.", Irma said as he stomach growled. "I'm so hungry.", she said getting a snicker out of Caleb. "And what's so funny?"
"Nothing.", Caleb said. "It's just that you don't try and hide how you feel sometimes. It's kind of cute."
"Oh.", Irma said with a slight blush and a small smile as they headed inside the nearest restaurant.
Further off, Matt and Selece were quite surprised by their encounter with Caleb and Irma. Yet were glad with how they handled it all.
"Well that was interesting.", Matt said. "Didn't think we'd run into those two today."
"I'm just glad an argument didn't get started.", Selece said with a smile as she was still holding onto Matt's arm. "I'm having to much fun."
"Same here.", Matt said. "But if I didn't know any better, I'd say that Caleb knew something we didn't."
"Same here.", Selece said. "It was as if he was expecting me to get upset if I learned that Angelo was dating another girl. Oh well. Looks like his plan failed."
"True.", Matt said. "So... I was wondering if you had a date for the Homecoming Dance."
"Nope.", Selece said. "Why do you ask, Mr. Olsen.", she asked with a sly smile.
"Well, Ms. Robertson, I was hoping that you'd like to go with me to the dance.", Matt said with a smile.
"Sure.", Selece said returning the smile. "I'd like that."
"Cool.", Matt said. "So do you want to get something to eat?"
"Yeah.", Selece said. "I could go for a good burger right now."
"You and me both.", Matt said as they headed into the burger joint they saw.
Now on Florana, Will and Angelo had just had lunch at a small cafe near the beach and were now having some fruit drinks while enjoying the place.
"I know I should feel bad that the others aren't here enjoying all of this with us.", Will said as before drinking some of her drink through a straw.
"But...", Angelo said knowing there was a 'but' coming.
"But... there are times one enjoys the peace like this.", Will said with a small smile.
"I don't see anything wrong with that.", Angelo said. "Every once in a while you need to have some time to yourself."
"And having a good friend with me is a plus.", Will said giving Angelo a smile that he returned. "Thanks for bringing me here today."
"You're welcome.", Angelo said. "I'm glad you said yes to coming."
"Why wouldn't I?", Will questioned.
"Well I did ask you to come here with me as my date.", Angelo said. "And that's was the day after my date with Selece. I kind of figured you'd get mad at me."
"Well, like I confused to you on Saturday, there was a part of me that saw our training day as a date.", Will said with a slight blush. "But there's more to that."
"What do you mean?", Angelo asked.
"Well... Remember when we first got together back in Fadden Hills?", Will asked Angelo who nodded.
"Yeah. It was only a few months before you had to move.", Angelo said with a sad smile. "We broke up fearing that we couldn't handle a long-distance relationship."
"Yeah. Well there use to be a part of me that wondered what would have happen if we decided to stay together.", Will said.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the same way.", Angelo said.
"That's why I wanted this date.", Will said. "I know that you're dating Selece but I'm starting to like you again."
"Well, to be honest, I like you and Selece.", Angelo said. "I just don't know which of you I want to be with."
"You're not the only one with that problem.", Will said.
"You mean Selece?", Angelo questioned with a grin surprising Will. "I know she has feeling for me and Matt."
"How did you...?"
"Micheal told me yesterday.", Angelo said with a grin. "Love can be a funny thing sometimes."
"Yeah.", Will said with a grin.
"So how about we go have some fun in the Sun?", Angelo asked.
"Don't have to ask me twice.", Will said as she finished her drink. "I'd like to get a good tan for the dance."
Angelo paid the bill and he and Will headed for the beach for some fun. Later that evening, Angelo treated Will to a nice dinner at the same cafe they had lunch at. Angelo was dressed in a pair of white pants with a sky blue short sleeve shirt with white shoes while Will was dressed in a baby blue sun dress with white sandals. It didn't take long for their food to be brought to them and now they were enjoying their meal.
"I have to ask. How are you able to afford all of this?", Will asked before eating some of her food.
"Remember how I'm a knight here?", Angelo asked Will who nodded. "Well as a knight here, I'm entitled to certain privileges."
"Wow!", Will said. "It's good to be a knight."
"Indeed it is.", Angelo said smiling. "So listen. I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Homecoming Dance with me?"
"Really?", Will questioned getting as nod from Angelo. "Wow! I figured that you would want to go with Selece."
"At first, I wanted to ask her.", Angelo said. "But we've only been on date with her. You and I have more of a history. You know?"
"Yeah, I understand.", Will said.
"So... Do you want to go with me?", Angelo asked.
"Sure.", Will said with a smile. "I'd be happy to go with you."
"Alrighty then.", Angelo said as he breathed a sigh of relief that got a giggle out of Will. "So what do you want to do tomorrow?"
"I have no idea.", Will said. "I'm okay with kicking back and doing nothing but relaxing."
"We can do that.", Angelo said. "But if you want to do something, let me know."
"Sure thing.", Will said as they continued eating their meal.
Once they were finished their meal Angelo paid for it and the two of them went for a walk down the beach to walk off their meal. As they were walking down the beach, the both of them were silent as they didn't really know what to say to each other. I mean here they were walking down the beach of another world together after spending the day with each other. Most would be talking to each other about things or saying how much they care about each other as the Moon's light shined on them. But Angelo and Will had just started dating after a long time apart. So this was a bit awkward for them. But Angelo decided to do something to so Will some kind of attention. So taking a chance, he reached for Will's hand and held it gently as they continued their walk down the beach. Will said nothing yet smiled as she felt Angelo holding her hand. But then she decided to go a step further and intertwined her fingers with his which caused her to blush a bit yet she didn't mind for she was enjoying her time with Angelo who was smiling now. Soon the two of them were back at their hotel room and ready to get some sleep. Angelo was dressed in a pair of sleeping pants and a tank-top while Will was dressed in a night-gown that her mother talked her into getting. It was a white, thin-strapped gown that went down to her ankles. Being tired from their day, the both of them got into their beds for a nice long sleep.
"Good night, Will.", Angelo said with a yawn.
"Goodnight, Angelo.", Will said with a yawn of her own. "See you in the morning."
Soon the two of them fell asleep knowing that they had another day of fun in the Sun coming. Back on Earth, Micheal had met up with Cornelia and the both of them were now heading for the movies to watch a movie Cornelia wanted to see.
"So how do you think your sister is doing on her date with Matt?", Cornelia asked as they were sitting in the theater waiting for the movie to start.
"No idea.", Micheal said. "But I hope they're having a great time together."
"Same here.", Cornelia said. "But you know something? I'm a bit worried about what may happen if Irma finds out about them dating."
"Well we both know that she'll be mad yet do her best to hide it at first.", Micheal said getting a nod from Cornelia. "But if she is truly happy dating Caleb, it won't bother her so much."
"But if her dating Caleb is a ploy to make Matt and Will jealous, then Irma will snap in time and who knows what she'll do then.", Cornelia said.
"Pretty much.", Micheal said. "And the same goes for Caleb when it comes to Angelo and Will dating."
"So let me get this straight.", Cornelia said. "Selece and Angelo are dating."
"Yes.", Micheal said.
"But Selece and Matt are dating as well.", Cornelia said getting a nod from Micheal. "And Will and Angelo are dating as well."
"You got it.", Micheal said.
"Wow!", Cornelia said.
"I know.", Micheal said.
"Well this just got interesting.", Cornelia said as the movie was about to begin.
"Oh yeah.", Micheal said as he and Cornelia watched the movie as it played.
Now on Florana, Will and Angelo were up and had breakfast and were out on the beach relaxing together under a beach umbrella.
"A girl can get used to this.", Will said as she laid on her beach umbrella.
"Well it looks like you're enjoying yourself.", Angelo said with a grin.
"I'm kicking it on a beach away from the stress of things on Earth.", Will said. "You bet I'm enjoying myself. And tomorrow, I'll drop out of the running for Homecoming Lady. And that will be the end of that problem.", she said as she sipped some of the tea she had with her.
"I'm just glad that haven't been summoned for any Guardian business.", Angelo said as he laid back on his beach towel. "I'd hate for it to ruin a good day like this."
"Well enjoy times like this when they come.", Will said. "Cause there are going to be times where we'll be called into action on days like this."
"Well that's good to know.", Angelo said.
And it was then that the Heart of Kandrakar began to glow.
"Really?", Will questioned.
"Duty calls, huh?", Angelo said with a grin.
"Yeah.", Will said as they got up and grabbed their beach towels. "Let's go get our stuff and then head back to Earth and get the others."
"At least we had a day and a half here.", Angelo said before they teleported to their hotel room.
Once they got back to Earth, Will and Angelo tried to reach out to the others through their telepathic link.
'Hey guys! What's up?', Hay Lin asked.
'We got Guardian business, Hay Lin.', Will said.
'We know.', Taranee said. 'Cassidy contacted me and Cornelia. I just reached Caleb and Irma.'
'Cassidy just contacted me.', Selece said 'She said to meet up at Shell Beach.'
'We're already there.', Angelo said.
'Meet us at the cave.', Cassidy said before cutting the link.
"Well it was fun date.", Angelo said as they headed for the cave.
"Yeah.", Will said with a smile. "You know, maybe you should take Selece there sometime."
"You think so?", Angelo questioned.
"Totally!", Will said. "I'm sure she'll like it there.", she said as they reached the cave where the others were waiting.
"And where have you two been?", Irma asked.
"Let's see.", Will said. "I'm in a bikini and Angelo is in swimming trunks. Where do you think we've been?", she asked Irma who said nothing as she turned her head with a huff.
"Ignore her.", Selece said as she walked up to Will. "She tried to give me and Matt a hard time earlier today."
"Of course she did.", Will said with a grin while rolling her eyes. "So what's the emergency?"
"No idea.", Cassidy said. "All I know is that we're needed on Kandrakar."
"Then let's go.", Will said as she and Cassidy held up their Hearts.
"Guardians Unite!", both girls said beginning the transformation.
"Water!", Irma and Cassidy said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Fire!", Taranee and Alchemy said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Earth!", Cornelia and Caleb said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Air!", Hay Lin and Selece said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Quintessence!", Will and Angelo said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
Will then opened a fold to Kandrakar for all of them to go through followed by Matt and Micheal. Once in the Fortress Of Infinity, they headed to the main hall where Halinor was waiting for them.
"What's up, Hallie?", Cassidy asked her old friend.
"Meridian is under attack!", Halinor said. "You must hurry! Queen Elyno is already there, but she can not hold off the enemy alone."
"Why is she fighting alone?", Caleb questioned. "Where is the Honor Guard?"
"They can not help the queen for the enemy is in the air.", Halinor explained.
"Of course it is.", Irma said sarcastically. "It never gets easy fo us."
"It never does.", Cassidy said as she opened a fold for Metamoor.
The Guardians, Matt, and Micheal then headed through the fold leaving Halinor alone in the main hall.
"No it doesn't.", Halinor said with a smile thinking back to her days as a Guardian as she went to attend to other duties..
A/N: Love is in the air! Who knows who going to get with who! And what a way for Cornelia and Micheal to meet! But right now duty calls as our heroes have to protect Meridian once again. Their lives are never boring, huh?
