Chapter 38:
The next day, Selece went to go talk to Matt at his home while Angelo went to talk to Will. But once he got to Will's place, she was about to leave.
"Angelo!", Will said as she ran up to him. "We've got trouble!"
"What kind of trouble?", Angelo asked.
"Robot trouble!", Will said as they left the apartment building. "We have to get to the Silver Dragon."
"Let's go then!", Angelo said as they made their way to the Silver Dragon.
'Looks like my talk with Will is going to have to wait.', Angelo thought to himself as he and Will ran down the sidewalk.
As for Selece, she was at Matt's place and knocked on the door when...
'Selece! Selece! It's me, Alchemy!', Alchemy contacted her telepathiclly. 'We got robot problems on Metamoor!'
'Again?!', Selece questioned. 'Why am I not surprised? We get a good night and this happens!'
'Tell me about it.', Alchemy said. 'Meet us at the Silver Dragon.'
'On my way.', Selece said before Alchemy cut the link.
Just then, the door opened with Matt standing there.
"Selece?", Matt questioned. "What are you doing...?"
"Robot attack! Got to go!", Selece said as she grabbed Matt's hand and pulled him along.
"Okay! Okay!", Matt said as he ran along with Selece. "Does your brother know?"
"Not yet!", Selece said as she took out her cell phone and called her brother. "Hey, Micheal? Get to the Silver Dragon, NOW!" she said before hanging up her cell phone.
"And here I was hoping for a peaceful Saturday.", Matt said.
"You and me both.", Selece said.
'So much for telling Matt how I feel.', Selece thought to herself as she and Matt made their way to the Silver Dragon.
Soon, everyone met up at the Silver Dragon. But instead of going inside the restaurant, they all headed into the alley next to it.
"Everyone ready?", Will asked getting nods from everybody. "Then let's go!", she said as she opened a fold to Metamoor.
Once on Metamoor they saw that they were in the courtyard of the palace where the rest of the Honor Guard were waiting.
"How many is it this time, Raythor?", Elyon asked as they gathered together.
"Enough.", Raythor said as Vathek handed Micheal his broad sword. "We have metal Lurdens attacking the nearby city and metal Mogriffs flying above dropping some strange canisters that unleash a yellow gas that is driving the townsfolk out of the city."
"I think it is tear gas based on the reactions the townsfolk and soldiers.", Albron replied.
"That's not good.", Matt said.
"Okay. Hay Lin and Selece can clear the tear gas out of the city, while Will, Angelo, Taranee, Alchemy, Elyon, and Matt take care of the Robo-Mogriffs while the rest of us back up the Honor Guard and soldiers.", Cassidy said.
"Who put you in charge?", Irma questioned.
"We been through this, Irma.", Will said. "And I agree with her plan."
"Then let's Guardian up and do what we do best!", Hay Lin said as Matt transformed into his Regent form.
"Guardians, Unite!", Will and Cassidy said as they held out their Hearts.
"Water!", Irma and Cassidy said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Fire!", Taranee and Alchemy said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Earth!", Cornelia and Caleb said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Air!", Hay Lin and Selece said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Quintessence!", Will and Angelo said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
Once they were transformed, everyone took off to do what Cassidy told them to do. Once in the air, the Quintessence and Fire Guardians along with Matt and Elyon saw a flockof Mogriffs dropping small canisters out of their chest and into the city.
"Let's clip their wings!", Matt said as he fires a powerful eyebeam at a Robo-Mogriff taking out a wing and causing it to crash to the ground. "Wow! That was easier than I thought it would be."
"That or you're getting stronger.", Will said as she and Angelo combined their powers and fired a powerful bolt of lightning at two of the robots only for them to shake it off.
"Why an I not surprised?", Angelo questioned as Elyon fired some energy waves at the same robots cutting them in two.
"I think they're weaker against energy.", Elyon said as Matt took down another Robo-Mogriff.
"Looks like.", Angelo said as he took his shield and charged it with some energy and threw it at a group of Robo-Mogriffs.
Once it hit one of the Robo-Mogriffs it ricocheted off of it and did the same with the rest before he used his powers to call it back. Angelo looked to see that each of the Robo-Mogriffs his shield hit left a nice gash in them.
"All you're, Will!", Angelo said.
"Don't have to tell me twice!", Will said as she struck the Robo-Mogriffs with a powerful wave of electricity that shorted them out and sent them crashing to the ground. "That takes care of them."
"Now we just have to deal with them.", Elyon said as they looked at the other Robo-Mogriffs that were flying around.
As for Taranee and Alchemy, they were flying behind a group of Robo-Mogriffs and using their power over fire to drain the heat from the engines of the robots sending them crashing to the ground.
"That was way to easy!", Alchemy said as she and Taranee took out another group the same way. "But I'm not complaining."
"Me neither.", Taranee said. "I just hope the ground forces are doing as good as we are.", she said as she looked down at the city.
Moments earlier...
Once in the city, the Honor Guard went to work fighting the Robo-Lurdens, while avoiding the tear gas. Hay Lin and Selece began to clear the air of tear gas so the ground forces could have more room to fight the robots. But with the Robo-Mogriffs still dropping tear gas down on them, the Honor Guard and soldiers had little room to fight. But thankfully, those in the air were cutting down the number of Robo-Mogriffs leaving less canisters to be dropped which made clearing the air much easier for Selece and Hay Lin. As for the Honor Guard, Micheal had just taken down two Robo-Lurdens when Caleb and Irma landed near him.
"Not bad. For a rookie.", Caleb said with a smirk as he cut down three Robo-Lurdens down with his sword.
"Rookie?", Micheal questioned.
"That's what he said.", Irma said as she blasted a robot with a jet stream of water.
"Say what you want.", Micheal said as he sliced the head off a robot. "I don't need to prove myself to you.", he said as he sliced a robot down its center cutting it in half.
"The rest of the Honor Guard may accept you, but I don't.", Caleb said as he walked up to Micheal. "You have to prove yourself to me before I accept you as a member of the Honor Guard."
"Last I checked, your father and Raythor lead the Honor Guard.", Micheal said as he turned from Caleb to fight another Robo-Lurden. "And they accept me just fine along with the others!", he said as he cut the robot down followed by another one.
"A true warrior wouldn't let this gas stop him from getting the jump on some robots!", Caleb said as he flew into the thing of tear gas.
"Tell me he just didn't do that.", Micheal said.
"He did.", Irma said. "Idiot!"
It was then that they heard Caleb coughing from the tear gas. Knowing what it could do to him, Micheal sheathed his sword and placed part of his shirt over his mouth and nose before running in to get the cocky Guardian. Irma could only wait and hope as she blasted some more Robo-Lurdens with water. A few seconds later, Micheal came out of the thing of tear gas dragging a coughing Caleb who's eyes were watery.
"Get him back to the palace and wash his face and eyes.", Micheal told Irma. "And make sure he stays there!"
Irma said nothing as she teleported herself and Caleb back to the palace. As for those in the air, they had just taken down all but one Robo-Mogriff, which meant that Hay Lin and Selece could finally clear the tear gas away which out anymore being dropped down on them and the ground forces. Both Air Guardians formed a twister that sucked up the tear gas and sent it into the air giving the ground forces the space they needed to fight the last of the Robo-Lurdens. Which they made short work of with their skills. When all was said and done, the Robo-Lurdens were scrap metal.
"Looks like we made short work of them.", Vathek said as he kicked the fallen head of one of the robots.
"And the soldiers did well against these machines.", Miriadel said as she looked at the soldiers as they were celebrating their victory.
"It seems their special training has paid off.", Tynar said proud of the soldiers.
"And it looks like my father and the other blacksmiths have more metal to work with.", Aldern said as he rested his foot on a robot's chest.
"All in a days work, I say.", Raythor said.
"Where is Caleb?", Julian questioned as he looked around the area for his son.
"He went into the tear gas to fight some robots.", Micheal explained. "He didn't know what the gas would do to him and I had to drag him out. I had Irma take him back to the palace and wash the gas off of him and out his face."
"What am I going to do with that boy?", Julian questioned with a tiring sigh.
"We were no better, my friend.", Raythor said with a laugh. "Getting into all kinds of trouble!"
"To be young again!", Julian laughed with his old friend.
"Where are Hay Lin and Selece?", Drake asked.
"Getting rid the last of the tear gas.", Cassidy said as she pointed up.
Now as for Will, Angelo, Taranee, Alchemy, Elyon, and Matt, they were still up in the sky facing off with the last Robo-Mogriff. Only this one was bigger than the others.
"Okay big fella!", Matt said. "Let's see what you got!", he said as he fired his eyebeams at it.
The Robo-Mogriff use it's wings to block the attack and fired a canister of tear gas at them only for Elyon to blast the canister. Suddenly the Robo-Mogriff flew at them with its razor sharp claws at the ready as it began to attack them. But the young heroes were to quick for it as they dodged it's attacks.
"I say we end this!", Elyon said as she charged her hand with energy.
"No problem there!", Angelo said doing the same.
It was then that they fired beams of energy at the Robo-Mogriff followed by Will and Matt. Next was Taranee and Alchemy with their fire. Try as it could, the Robo-Mogriff couldn't get away from them as they kept their attacks on it. Soon the robot was broke and busted as it hovered there in the air.
"That should do it.", Will said as the robot began to descend to the ground.
It was then that Hay Lin and Selece flew up to them.
"Nice work, guys!", Hay Lin said. "But what's with that one?"
"It was some bigger one.", Taranee said. "I think it was carrying something special."
"Good thing we got to it first.", Elyon said.
It was then that the Robo-Mogriff's chest opened up and fired basketball size ball of energy at then.
"Look out!", Alchemy screamed as they orb of energy came at them.
Once it was close to them the orb of energy exploded! Thankfully, Elyon was able to form a force field around Taranee, Alchemy, Hay Lin and herself.
"I'm guessing that was the something special.", Elyon said as she dropped thew force field. "Everyone okay?"
"Yeah.", Taranee said. "Thanks for the save."
"What about the others?", Alchemy questioned.
"Oh no! Selece!", Hay Lin cried as she watched her fall to the ground.
Moments earlier...
"Look out!", Alchemy screamed as they orb of energy came at them.
Once it was close to them the orb of energy exploded! Thankfully, Matt wasn't hit to hard by the explosion and shook it off. But out of the corner of his eye, he saw Selece get hit by the shockwave of the explosion and got sent falling to the ground.
"Selece!", Matt yelled as he dove after her.
As for Selece, the shockwave had knocked her for a loop as she was sent falling to the ground. And try as she might, she couldn't gain her composure and fly.
"If I can't fly, then maybe I can use the air to cushion my fall.", Selece said to herself as she ws about to form a twister when suddenly...
"Gotcha!", Matt said as he caught Selece in his arms.
"Matt?!", Selece questioned.
"Hey.", Matt said as he slowly landed somewhere in the city below. "You okay?"
"I am now.", Selece said with a smile as Matt set her on her feet. "Can we talk?"
"Now?", Matt questioned. "Maybe you should rest first."
"I'm okay.", Selece said. "Besides. This is important."
"Okay. Let's talk.", Matt said.
"Last night, when Angelo was walking me home, we... kissed.", Selece confessed.
"Oh.", Matt said not liking to hear that.
"Wait!", Selece said. "Please let me finish! Please, Matt."
Matt looked at Selece who gave him a pleading look that he just couldn't say no to.
"Okay.", Matt said. "Go ahead."
"Thank you.", Selece said with a small smile. "Now after we kissed, I thought it would feel great. But..."
Flashback, last night...
As for Angelo and Selece, as they were making out, a strange feeling began to hit them both. A feeling that was telling them this was wrong. And slowly they ended their making out. They both just looked at each other knowing what the other was thinking at the moment.
"It didn't feel right.", Angelo said. "Did it?"
"No.", Selece said as she shook her head with a sad smile. "No matter how hard I tried to force it, it didn't feel right. The more I tried, the more I saw that it should be Matt and me."
"And I saw that it should be me and Will.", Angelo said. "Funny, huh?"
"Yeah.", Selece said with a grin. "Guess we know what we have to do now."
"Guess so.", Angelo said with a small smile. "Selece. I'm..."
"I know.", Selece said with a sad smile. "I'm sorry, too. Friends?"
"Always.", Angelo said as they shared a hug. "See you tomorrow."
"Later.", Selece said with a smile before she walked up to the door of her house.
Once at the door, Selece turned to look at Angelo one last time. They both waved to each other before she went inside. Once up in her bedroom she changed into one of her nightgowns and laid her costume in her chair before getting into bed.
"What a night.", she said before falling asleep.
End Flashback
"And that's what happened.", Selece said as she walked towards Matt. "You've been so patient with me and don't really have to be with me. But if you're willing, we can start over.", she said when she suddenly lost her balance due to still being a bit dizzy from the fall. "Whoa!"
Moving quickly, Matt caught Selece and wrapped his arms around his waist. As he held her close, Selece looked up at Matt with a small smile before reaching up and lifting his golden mask up so she could see his face.
"Hi. I'm Matt Olsen.", Matt said with a smile.
"Hi. I'm Selece Robertson.", Selece said as she wrapped her arms around Matt's neck while returning the smile before they shared a kiss.
Moments earlier...
"Look out!", Alchemy screamed as they orb of energy came at them.
Once it was close to them the orb of energy exploded knocking Angelo and Will out sending them flying down towards a barn that they crashed through the roof of and into a thing of hay. But as they were falling, Angelo was conscious enough to grab Will and hold her close to cushion the fall for her.
"Oh. What happened?", Will questioned when she suddenly felt a set of arms around her. "What the...?", she began to questioned as she pushed herself out of the arms and saw that it was Angelo. "Angelo?"
Will then remembered what happened. She looked around and saw that they were in a barn with pieces of wood lying around them. She looked up and saw that there was a hole in the barn's roof.
"We must of fell through the roof.", Will figured as she looked down at Angelo. "Wake up, Angelo! Wake up!", she said as she shook him a bit hoping that he would wake up.
"Aw, man.", Angelo moaned as he woke up. "What hit me?"
"Actually, it's what you hit.", Will said with a grin as she sat down in the hay next to Angelo. "You okay?"
"Yeah.", Angelo said. "How about you?"
"Thanks to you, I'm fine.", Wil said with a smile that Angelo returned before he frowned a bit. "What's wrong?"
"I have to tell you something.", Angelo said. "It has something to do with last night when I was walking Selece home."
"Oh.", Will said as she looked away from Angelo thinking it would be something she didn't want to hear.
"Just hear me out before you pass judgement.", Angelo said hoping that Will would hear him out.
"Okay.", Will said sadly as she looked at him.
"Last night Selece and I kissed.", Angelo confessed to which Will frowned a bit. "I thought it was going to be all good. But that wasn't the case."
Flashback, last night...

Once at the door, Selece turned to look at Angelo one last time. They both waved to each other before she went inside. As for Angelo, he headed back home knowing that he had to talk to Will tomorrow.
"What a night." he said as he headed home.
End Flashback
"And that's what happened.", Angelo said. "Selece is someone special to me. But not the way I feel about you, Will. So if you're willing to give me a chance, I'll do my best to make sure that you won't regret it.", he said before Will jumped at him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "I'll take that as a maybe.", he said with a smirk before Will kissed him again only this time Angelo returned the kiss as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
Sometime later everyone regrouped at the palace to which everyone was happy to see that Will, Angelo and Selece were okay.
"Glad to see that you three are okay.", Taranee said.
"And then some.", Will said with a smile.
"What does that mean?", Elyon said as she noticed Will and Angelo holding hands. "Oh!", Elyon said with a smile.
"They're not the only ones.", Cassidy said looking at Matt and Selece who were also holding hands.
Seeing this didn't make Irma and Caleb to happy after what they saw last night. And they were going to get to the bottom of things.
"Care to explain yourselves?", Irma asked as she looked from Angelo to Selece.
"Come again?", Angelo asked.
"You know what she means!", Caleb snapped. "What about what happened last night?"
"What are you talking about?", Selece questioned.
"Don't play dumb!", Irma demanded. "What about that kiss you two had?!"
"Wait a minute!", Selece said. "How do you two even know about that?!"
"Because they were spying on us, that's why.", Angelo said to which the other gasped in surprise.
"Don't change the subject!", Caleb said. "Explain yourselves!"
"Selece doesn't have to explain anything!", Matt said defending Selece. "She told me what happened.", he said surprising Irma.
"And Angelo told me what happened as well.", Will said surprising Caleb. "And he also told me that it was that kiss that made him and Selece realise who they wanted to be with."
"Selece told me the same thing.", Matt said.
"Awwww!", Cornelia said. "It's almost like a romantic movie."
"Now care to explain why you two were spying on Selece and Angelo?", Elyon asked Irma and Caleb to which everyone else looked at them.
"I was out for a walk last night when I spotted Angelo with Selece.", Caleb explained.
"Rebel-Boy then called me and I teleported to where he was.", Irma continued to explain. "It was then that we saw them kiss.", she said while looking at Angelo and Selece.
"First off, shame on you two for spying on us!", Selece said to Caleb and Irma. "You both need to mind your own business!"
"And if you two had stayed there long enough, which you didn't, you would have heard Selece and I revealed who we wanted to be with.", Angelo said.
"My guess is the you two figured that if Angelo and Selece were together then you two had a chance of getting back with your EXs.", Cassidy said to which Caleb and Irma blushed while looking away. "Just as I thought."
"Shame on you two!", Hay Lin said while waving her finger at Irma and Caleb in disappointment.
"Don't sweat it, Hay Lin.", Alchemy said. "If anything, now they'll see how much they like each other.", she said with a sly smirk.
"WHAT?!", Irma and Caleb questioned.
"You heard me!", Alchemy said. "You two have been spending so much time trying to get back with your EXs that you're failing to see what was right in front of you. That you two could be a great couple. I mean you get along so well."
"She's got you there.", Micheal said.
"Me and Rebel-Boy?!", Irma questioned. "Yeah right!", she said as she turned from Caleb with her arms fold across her chest.
"Not going to happen.", Caleb said.
"Talk about denial.", Cornelia said. "The more you deny it, the more we know you two have feelings for each other."
"Who asked you anyway?!", Irma snapped.
"As far as I'm concerned, you still can't be trusted.!", Caleb snapped.
"That's enough, Caleb!", Elyon shouted. "I had hoped that you were over this, but I guess I was wrong. I will not hear anymore talk about what happened with Cornelia. Do I make myself clear?", she said with a stern look.
"Yes, Your Majesty.", Caleb said with a bow.
Irma was about to say something when...
"Same goes fr you, Irma.", Will said. "If Kandrakar is able to give Cornelia a second chance, then so should we.", she said shutting Irma up. "Now I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to head back to Earth.", she said as she opened a fold for Earth.
"I'd like to, but I have things to take care of here.", Elyon said.
"So do we.", Aldern said as he and Drake stood by Elyon.
"Well if that's the case, I'm staying, too.", Cassidy said as she walked up to Aldern.
"We'll see you guys later.", Will said as she went through the fold with Angelo and the others.
"See ya.", Cassidy said.
"You know, you can stay here with Caleb, Irma.", Elyon said with a kind smile.
"No thank you.", Irma said as she headed through the fold.
"Deny. Deny. Deny.", Cassidy said while shaking her head.
"She'll come around.", Elyon said as they headed into the palace leaving Caleb by himself.
"Me and Irma.", Caleb said with a scoff. "Ha! Not going to happen!", he said as he went to his chambers in the palace.
And yet at that moment, he began to think about Irma. He then shook it off as he knew he had duties to attend to. Back on Earth, Hollens had returned from Metamoor after his failed attempt to defeat our young heroes.
"So how did the test go?", Riddle asked as Hollens sat down in a chair.
"Very well.", Hollens said. "The energy bomb worked well against the Guardians that it hit. But the young queen's force field was able to protect her and three other Guardians. The Regent was able to shake it off as well."
"Figures as much.", Riddle said. "The energy bomb was made to affect the Guardians. At least we got that going for us."
"Indeed, my friend.", Hollens said. "When we begin our main invasion, we'll take down the Guardians with the energy bomb, the Regent and queen will be easy pickings."
"So there will be no more attacks?", Riddle asked.
"No.", Hollens said as he stood up. "We've tested our other robots in the research facilities. We don't need to take them out into the field just yet. We'll just be wasting good metal that our enemies will use to make more weapons like they did with the robots they've already defeated."
"Very well.", Riddle said in agreement. "So when will the main invasion begin? If you don't mind me asking."
"After the carnival their school is having a few weeks from now.", Hollens said. "My grandson wants me to come and have some fun with him. It'll also give me a chance to see how the Guardians are like up close and personal."
"You are bold.", Riddle said with a smirk. "Won't you be close to "HER"."
"Yes.", Hollens said with a sad expression. "Seeing her through the eyes of our unknowing slaves is one thing, but I do long to see her with my own eyes before we strike with our full forces."
"Then I wish you luck my friend.", Riddle said. "You just may need it."
"It is the Guardians who will need all the luck they can get.", Hollens said with a scowl. "Let them enjoy what little peace they can get now. For soon, I shall turn their world upside-down! And after that, revenge shall be mine!", he said as he and Riddle looked out their office that overlooked the factory that was making the robots they were going to be using in their invasion of Meridian and the rest of Metamoor.
Back on Earth, Alchemy was at the mall waiting for Stephen in the Food Court. She was dressed in a light blue mini-skirt with a light blue T-shirt with a pink tank-top over it and white and pink sneakers. Her hair was combed down and smoothed thanks to some help from Cornelia. But right now, she was a bit nervous seeing as this was her first date.
Alchemy's POV
Aw, man! What do I do? Am I wearing the right outfit? Will Stephen like it? Maybe I should have picked something else to wear! Is my hair okay? Maybe I should of asked Corny to do something else with it. Will Stephen like my hair? Will he see me and change his mind about going on a date with me? Will our date even go well? Aw, man! What'll I do?!
Normal POV
"Hey, Alchemy."
Alchemy looked up to see Stephen standing there with a smile on his face. He was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt and white sneakers.
"Hi.", Alchemy said as she slowly stood up.
"I hope you weren't waiting long.", Stephen said. "There was some traffic on the way up here. Plus, my mom had to out some gas in the car."
"It's okay.", Alchemy said with a smile. "The bus I took here had to go through traffic as well."
"You took the bus here?", Stephen questioned getting a nod from Alchemy.
"My parents wanted to bring me, but I told them that I'd be okay taking the bus.", Alchemy explained.
"Well if you'd like, I can ask my mom to take you home after our date.", Stephen offered.
"Thanks.", Alchemy said. "I'd like that."
"Good.", Stephen said as they headed for the cinema the mall had. "But for now let's go to the movies."
"Sure!", Alchemy said as they held hands.
Meanwhile, in the Silver Dragon, Hay Lin along with Irma and Taranee were sitting at a table having tea together.
"I still can't believe you and Caleb were spying on Angelo and Selece last night, Irma.", Taranee said. "That's just wrong and you know it."
"How many times do I have to say I'm sorry for that?", Irma asked in annoyance,
"You never apologized in the first place.", Hay Lin said.
"Oh.", Irma said realising Hay Lin was right. "Well... It was Caleb who did the spying. He just called me and told me to come to him."
"Still spying.", Hay Lin said before sipping some tea. "And I agree with Alchemy."
"About what?", Irma questioned before she figured out what she was talking about. "Oh no!", she said with a wave of her index finger. "No way am I going out with Rebel-Boy!"
"Why not?", Taranee questioned. "You two could make a great couple."
"Fat chance!", Irma said. "Not going to happen!"
"If you say so.", Hay Lin said. "If you want to remain single then I can respect that."
"Same here.", Taranee said.
"Thank you.", Irma said. "Now let's talk about something else.", she said before sipping some tea.
"Well how about the carnival?", Hay Lin asked. "Got any costumes ready?"
"With all the walking around we'll be doing who's got time for a costume?", Irma questioned.
"Are you kidding?", Taranee questioned. "You, like the rest of us, are a part of this. We worked on this together. You have to wear a costumes like the rest of us."
"And who says that we all have costumes for the carnival?", Irma questioned.
"I do.", Hay Lin said. "I checked with everybody in the Newspaper Club and K-SHIP. And we all have costumes for the carnival."
"Even Dunn?", Irma questioned.
"Yep.", Hay Lin said.
"Oh brother.", Irma said.
"I still have some for you to wear.", Hay Lin said with a sly smile.
"I will not wear a fancy dress!", Irma said.
"Then I suggest you get started with making your own costumes", Hay Lin said.
"Well I still have the Sailor Jupiter costume to wear.", Irma said. "I just have to make a few more."
"Good luck.", Taranee said. "You're going to need it. You only got two weeks before the carnival."
"I can always buy a costume or two.", Irma said.
"Good luck finding a good one.", Hay Lin said still with the sly smile.
"You're enjoying this to much.", Irma said.
"Maaaaaaaaybe.", Hay Lin said before giggling a little which got Taranee laughing.
"Oh brother.", Irma said knowing she had a long two weeks ahead.
No in a ice cream shop, Micheal and Cornelia were sharing a hot fudge sundae enjoying their time together.
"You know, I forgot to ask.", Cornelia said. "How as the wedding you and the rest of Wreck 55 played at?"
"It was nice.", Micheal said. "A lot of people were surprised at how well Selece played the drums.", he said with a grin getting a small laugh out of Cornelia.
"Speaking of Selece, how do you feel about her being with Matt?", Cornelia asked before eating some ice cream.
"It's cool.", Micheal said. "As long as Selece is happy, then I'm okay with who she goes out with."
"Oh really?", Cornelia questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Well if the guy she's seeing is a douch then I'll say something.", Micheal said. "I don't want my sister taken advantage of."
"There it is.", Cornelia said with a grin.
"What?", Micheal questioned. "I'm her brother. I have to look out for her. Just as she would look out for me in the same way."
"I know. I know.", Cornelia said. "I would do the same for Lillian. No questions asked. But you know, I've been thinking."
"About what?", Micheal asked before eating some of the sundae.
"The attacks.", Cornelia said. "The first few were in different parts of Meridian, but the rest were more focused on us than anything. But mostly Elyon and you guys in the Honor Guard."
"So what are you thinking?", Micheal asked.
"I'm thinking that whoever is behind all of this is planning on attacking when the Guardians can't make it in time.", Cornelia said. "When the only ones who can fly are Elyon and Matt if he can make it."
"Which would leave us at a disadvantage.", Micheal said. "A major one."
"We have to tell the others.", Cornelia said.
"Tomorrow.", Micheal said. "We can tell them tomorrow. Right now, I want to enjoy our time together.", he said making Cornelia smile.
"Okay.", Cornelia said liking that idea as they ate their sundae together.
Elsewhere, Matt had invited Selece over to his home for some hot chocolate. Plus, they could be alone from the others.
"Here you go.", Matt said as he handed Selece a mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. "Hope it's not to hot.", he said as he sat next to her on the couch.
"Mmmmmm... It's just right.", Selece said after drinking some of the hot chocolate. "Thanks.", she said with a smile that Matt returned before Selece frowned a bit. "Something wrong?"
"I'm... I'm sorry for putting you through so much, Matt.", Selece said.
"What are you talking about?", Matt asked.
"I had you wait for me to make up my mind about who I liked.", Selece explained. "It wasn't right of me to ask you to do that when you could have gone out with any other girl who likes you."
"Maybe.", Matt said. "But you were worth waiting for, Selece.", he said surprising her. "And even if you ended up with Angelo, we would of still been friends."
"But..."
"No buts.", Matt said as he took his and Selece's mugs of hot chocolate and sat them on the coffee table in front of them. "I made the choice to wait and I don't regret it.", he said as he took Selece's hands in his. "Somethings are worth waiting for, Selece. And this is one of them.", he said before he gave her a kiss making her smile.
"Thanks.", Selece said. "That means a lot."
Nothing else was said as they went back to drinking their hot chocolate while sitting close together listening to the music on the radio. Now at the Vandom's apartment, Will and Angelo were on the couch in the living room kicking back after all they've been through in the morning with fighting the robots followed by the bomb that sent thm crashing into a barn. As Angelo sat on the couch, Will was laying on it with her head resting in Angelo's lap.
"So... What happens now?", Will asked.
"What do you mean?", Angelo asked as he looked down at Will.
"I mean us.", Will said looking up at Angelo. "Where do we go from here?"
"I thought we were a couple.", Angelo said. "Didn't we kiss earlier on Metamoor? Twice I might add."
"Well... yeah.", Will said. "But... that was after all that happened. And I was in the heat of the moment after what you told me."
"So you don't want to be with me?", Angelo questioned.
"Of course I do!", Will said as she sat up and turned to face Angelo. "It's just that when Caleb and I were first together, things were great. We had fun and would do a lot of stuff together."
"This isn't helping in any way.", Angelo said.
"Let me finish.", Will said. "Now it was all good at first. But as time went on, we did less and less fun things because he felt that some of the fun things we did less fun. We went on dates, yet didn't do much. We went out for dinner and a movie when we could, but the love just wasn't there much. It was as if... as if..."
"The fun was drained out of your relationship.", Angelo finished getting a nod out of Will.
"I don't want to go through that again.", Will said. "I'd rather be single."
"Now hold on a minute, Will.", Angelo said. "Let's be honest with our selves. Caleb if from a world in which a sixteen year olds can get married. Do you know what that can do to a person? I mean in Caleb's mind, he probably figured that after a while, you'd be ready to settle down and not do to much exciting stuff and settle for just going out for dinner and a movie every once in a while. Plus, school dances. He's not used to being with a girl from Earth. That was the problem. But I'm sure Irma has given him a pretty good idea. about that.", he said getting a grin out of Will. "Ah! There's that smile."
"Okay! I get it!", Will said with a laugh. "I'm over-reacting a bit. But in my defence, I haven't had many relationships."
"Fair enough. Now hear this.", Angelo said as he wrapped an arm around Will's shoulder and pulled her closer to him. "We're going to have good times and bad times. I will take you out on fun dates and dates where we won't be doing so much. We may even disagree on what we want to do on a date. That's what couples do. No relationship is perfect, Will. But if the love is there, then everything will be alright. Okay?"
Will then gave Angelo a kiss.
"Okay.", Will said before they shared a kiss and went back to relaxing together.
A/N: Well Will and Angelo are together and so are Selece and Matt. And Alchemy is dating Stephen. Now the question is, will Irma and Caleb hook up or not? But let's not forget about Hollens and Riddle. They still plan on taking over Meridian. And then there's Sylla. Who knows what he'll be doing. And could Cornelia be right about the attacks? Could their enemies be planning to attack when the Guardians can't get there in time? You never know. The next chapter will focus on two of our newly formed couples, one that's in the works of forming, and two people that just need to hook up and get it over with. Later!
