Chapter 45:
There Queen Elyon was confused about what was going on as she stared at the forces from Florana. She didn't know where to begin. So she asked the first question that came to her.
"What is going on?"
"Before I came here, Angelo asked me to go to Florana and ask King Terren and Queen Kalla of the Yollen Kingdom for help.", John explained.
"And we were more than happy to help.", Queen Kalla said. "For Sir Angelo and his fellow Guardians have more than done enough for us.", she said as Princess Xolley landed before them.
"So we're here to help!", the princess said with a smile.
"Allow us to help you in your hour of need, Queen Elyon.", King Terren said.
"O-Of course!", Elyon said as she let everything sink in. "I, Queen Elyon, of the Meridian Kingdom, gladly accept your help in this battle."
"Very well.", King Terren said as he unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards the robots the Meridian soldiers were fighting. "Attack warriors of Florana! Leave no robot standing!", he said as he and Queen Kalla led the charge.
With a furious batte cry, the soldiers of the Yollen Kingdom charged at the robots aiding the Meridian troops in their fight. Those with rocket packs were led by Commander Treylan of the Rocket Troopers who all took to the skies attacking the flying robots along with Xolley who formed a forcefield around herself that she had form into a spearhead as she flew through some robots at great speed aiding the flying troops. With Treylan was one Duke Taylan flying through the skies fighting off as many robots as he could for one his age.
"Wow!", Elyon said amazed by Xolley's skills. "I really need to work on my game."
"I'm just glad we have some help.", Matt said.
"You and me both, lad.", Raythor said before turning to Meridian troops. "We're not finished yet, troops! Let's finish this!"
The Meridian troops let out a war cry that matched the Yollen soldiers as they went back into battle. As for Matt and Elyon, they took to the air ready to continued the fight. Back on Kandrakar, the Guardians and Micheal were in a room glad to see that Cornelia and Micheal were okay. Well, all but Caleb and Irma were there. And for some of them, that was just fine. That is until Endarno entered the room with Caleb and Irma. Silence filled the room as Caleb and Irma looked at the others hoping they would be welcomed back. Yet as they looked at their friends, they saw that some weren't happy to see them. As she stood there, Halinor was hoping that she could help them all work things out.
"I know that a lot has happened in the last few hours, but you all need to work things out and help Metamoor.", Halinor said.
"With all due respect, Halinor, we have a lot to work out.", Taranee said.
"They almost killed my brother and Cornelia!", Selece snapped.
"B-B-But we were under mind-control!", Irma said.
"Now where have I heard that before?", Will questioned to which Irma said nothing.
"We're sorry about what happened.", Caleb said. "We now know what Cornelia has been through and..."
"Oh no you don't!", Cassidy snapped cutting Caleb off. "You have no idea what Cornelia has been through. What about how you two have been treating her for the last few months? Giving her a hard time snapping at her and always looking for ways to expose her as a threat, which she wasn't. And now, after a taste of what she's been through, you think you can just say that you're sorry and think everything will be okay. Yeah! I don't think so!"
"How can we trust you knowing that the ones who put you under their control will be on Metamoor and just might be able to take control of you again?", Taranee questioned.
"Rest assured that the Oracle has removed the markings they had under their skin.", Endarno said. "But there is another matter that needs resolving."
"What's that?", Irma questioned.
"The mind-control you two were under.", Halinor said. "Tell me what you remember."
"Well... I remember us watching over Cornelia in some kind room.", Irma said. "I then remember seeing a black spot and the words Shell Beach. I then felt like I could do what I wanted...", she said before she stopped herself.
"To do to Cornelia for a long time.", Halinor said to which Irma said nothing.
"There's no use denying it.", Hay Lin said. "The Oracle told us everything.", she said eyeing Irma.
"Okay! I'll admit it!", Caleb said. "For a long time I wanted Cornelia to feel the pain Will felt that night when she attacked her. Mind-control or not, she had it coming! And now you know how Will felt!", he said while glaring at Cornelia.
"What of you, Irma?", Halinor said. "Is there anything you have to say?"
"I said what I had to say a few days ago.", Irma said as she looked at Cornelia with a glare. "And I meant every word of it. You're a spoiled little rich-girl who somehow gets her way one way or another. I wish we never met!"
"ENOUGH!", Endarno yelled as he placed his hands on Irma and Caleb's shoulders.
Suddenly, Caleb and Irma let out screams of pain as they dropped to their knees surprising the others.
"What are you doing to them!?", Alchemy questioned.
"Giving them a taste of what they did to Cornelia.", Endarno explained as he let Caleb and Irma go allowing them to fall on their sides in pain. "You both say that you wanted the poor child to feel the pain she gave Will that night? Well now you two know of the pain you gave her in that cave. You felt not only her pain but how she hoped and prayed that her friends would get there in time with each lashing she got."
"Why you...", Caleb snapped as he and Irma slowy got to their feet. "I'm going to..."
"Do nothing!", Halinor said getting Irma and Caleb's attention. "I don't know about the past you all had. But I do know one thing. That you're all needed on Metamoor to help fight a battle. I know that you all have some trust issues right now, but you all are needed. Now the question remains. Which of you is willing to fight along side Caleb and Irma to help the Meridian Kingdom?", she asked.
At first, no one said anything. And who can blame them after what happened. Like Halinor said, they had some major trust issues at the moment. Suddenly, much to the surprise of everyone, Cornelia stood up from the seat she was sitting at and walked up to Caleb and Irma. Once she was face to face with them, she looked at them and before they knew it she smacked them both across their faces surprising all but Halinor and Endarno. Caleb and Irma then glared at Cornelia who glared back at them.
"You both hate me and right now you're not my most favorite people.", Cornelia said. "But right now, one of my best friends needs us. So get over yourselves and pull it together! We've got work to do.", she said before turning to the others. "I know that some of you don't want to work with these two, but our friends need us. So let's go help them and then we can settle things afterwards. Please."
"Then let's get to work.", Cassidy said to which all but Selece nodded.
"I don't like it, but Grandma Gale would say that sometimes you have put aside your feelings to do the right thing.", Selece said. "So for now, I'll fight along side them. But when this is all over with, we will settle things.", she said.
"On that we all agree.", Will said as she and Cassidy took out their Hearts.
"Here.", Selece said to her brother as she took off the necklace their grandmother gave her. "For luck.", she said as she slipped it around her brother's neck.
"Thanks.", Micheal said as he picked up his broadsword.
"Guardians, Unite!", Will and Cassidy said transforming themselves and their fellow Guardians.
"Water!", Cassidy and Irma said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Fire!", Taranee and Alchemy said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Earth!", Cornelia and Caleb said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Air!", Hay Lin and Selece said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
"Quintessence!", Will and Angelo said as they transformed into their Guardian forms.
Once transformed, Will opened a fold to Metamoor that everyone went through ready to fight for the sake of not only Meridian but all of Metamoor. Once through the fold, they found themselves close to the battlefield where the forces of Meridian and the Yollen Kingdom were fighting off the robot army. But at the palace they saw what looked like a robot dragon flying around the palace.
"Is that a robot dragon?", Micheal questioned.
"Yes. Yes it is.", Angelo said as they watched the machine fly around the palace.
"What the heck is going on here!?", Cassidy questioned just as Elyon landed in front of them.
"Thank goodness you all showed up.", Elyon said.
"What's going on, Elyon?", Cornelia asked.
"I'll show you!", Elyon said as she used her telepthic power to show them what happened.
Flashback
As the combined forces of the Meridian and Yollen Kingdom were pushing back against the robot horde, Hollens was ready to send in another wave of robots when...
"Wait!", Riddle said. "Why not send in our special surprise."
"Hmmmmm... Why not?", Hollens questioned. "It should be fun to see how they handle it.", he said as he sent out the command. "Come Dark Wing! Take to the sky and crush the palace!"
Suddenly, a bunch of parts took to the sky and began to come together. Seeing this, Elyon stared in shock as the parts came together and formed a dragon that flew over the battlefield and towards the palace.
"What will you do now, Queen Elyon?", Hollens questioned. "Stay here and fight or go protect your palace and the people in it?"
"Leave the thing to us, Your Majesty!", Raythor said. "The Honor Guard will take it down!", he said as he and the rest of the Honor Guard mounted horses and rode off to the palace.
"Good luck.", Elyon said as she watched them ride off towards the palace. "As for the rest of you, fight on!", she said to her troops who let out a batle cry while continuing the fight.
End Flashback.
"Whoa!", Selece said as they saw what Elyon showed them.
"I hope that's the only robot dragon they have.", Will said as Micheal got on a horse.
"Later guys!", Micheal said. "I got a dragon to help fight."
"Of course you do.", Selece said as Caleb was about to fly off to the palace.
"Oh no you don't!", Cassidy said a she blocked his path. "You're staying right here!"
"But the dragon!", Caleb said.
"The Honor Guard can handle that.", Will said. "We're of better use here."
"But..."
"No buts!", Will said cuting Caleb off. "Don't make us regret bringing you with us."
"Will's right.", Angelo said. "We're needed more here."
Caleb said nothing as they all flew towards the battlefield to aid in the fight against the robot horde. Seeing this surprised Hollens and Riddle.
"What are they doing here!?", Riddle questioned.
"It seems that Sylla has failed us.", Hollens said. "No matter. Even with them here, Meridian will fall to our vast numbers!"
As for the Guardians, they were surprised to see the forces from the Yollen Kngdom there, yet were glad they showed up.
"Looks like your plan worked.", Will said.
"I'm just glad they showed up.", Angelo said when he noticed Xolley flying towards him in her force field. "Xolley!?"
"Hi!", Xolley said with a smile and a wave.
"What are you doing here?", Angelo asked.
"I'm here to help of course!", Xolley said. "And so is Treylan and Taylan.", she said pointing toward Treylan and Duke Taylan who were fighting off some robot Mogriffs.
"Didn't think I'd see those two here.", Cassidy said.
"Hey! The more the better.", Alchemy said.
"Got that right.", Hay Lin said.
"Well what are we waiting for!?", Will said. "Let's kick some robot butt!", she said as they flew into action and joined in the fight.
Taranee and Alchemy started things off by combining their fire power and firing a volley of fireballs at as many of the robot Mogriffs taking them down while Hay Lin and Selece created a twister that sucked in some robots which crashed into each other in the twister destroying them. Next was Cornelia who used her powers to draw a large group of robots together so Will could blast them with a power bolt of lightning.
"Nice!", Will said as she and Cornelai high-fived each other before continuing the fight.
As for Irma and Caleb, they were fighting with all they had as well. Irma would pierce the shell of some robots with ice shards taking down as many as she could while Caleb slashed through some robots.
"Let's see Angelo and Cassidy top that.", Irma said impressed with what she and Caleb did.
Just then, Angelo and Cassidy flew by them surprisiing them. Angelo then threw his shield at some robots followed by Cassidy firing a beam of ice at the shield. Once the beam hit the shield, blades of ice began to form on the edge of the shield as it cut through some robots with ease. As for Angelo and Cassidy, Angelo was striking down robots with energy charged fist and boots before catching his shield that returned to him while Cassidy flew at a group of robots. Once she was in the middle of a group of robot Mogriffs, she curled up in a ball and begam to spin around faster and faster while calling up as much moister as she could. She then stopped and uncurled herself and extended her arms and legs sending out the moister at the robots that soon froze forming large, sharp shards that pierced the machines taking them out.
"Whoa!", Irma said as she saw what Cassidy and Angelo did.
"What you said.", Caleb said.
"And you two thought you stood a chance against them.", Will teased as she and Selece flew passed them.
"Yeah right!", Selece laughed with Will as they went back to the fight.
Caleb and Irma said nothing as they got back to fighting the robot mogriffs. Back at the palace, the Honor Guard were fighting the dragon as best they could with the weapons Elyon infused with some of her power. The dragon was the lenght of two city buses and had a wide wing span as it fired fire from it's mouth. Fire that was used to set the palace stables on fire. Thankfully there were sodliers there to start putting the fire out with buckets of water. As for the Honor Guard, they were giving it their all against the robot dragon as they managed to lure it to an area of the palace where there was work being done by builders which gave them plenty of beams and structures to jump around as they fought the machine. Alborn and Raythor jumped and slashed at the machine with their swords gaining the attention of the dragon allowing Miriadel a chance to hit it in the chest with three arrows yet the metal beast was still going as it fired it's flames at the archer who jumped out of the way dodging the attack. The dragon began to fly around the area yet didn't see Tynar jump at it and land on it's back and stab it in betwen it's wings causing the dragon to let out a roar as it began to buck trying to get Tynar off it's back. He tried to stay on it's back, but Tynar was flung off and sent flying only for Vathek to grab his hand and pull him to saftey.
"Thanks.", Tynar said.
"Don't mention it.", Vathek said as the dragon flew at them. "Oh no you don't!", he said as he swung his morning star mace upward striking the dragon under it's chin sending it flying backwards.
Seeing this, Raythor jumped at it and slashed it where Miriadel hit it with her arrows followed by Drake and Aldarn attacking it as well. Soon the rest of the Honor Guard went at the dragon attacking it with all they had. But the metal beast was far from done as it gained it's balance and let out a mighty sonic roar that sent the Honor Guard flying in different directions. The robot dragon then began to search the area for any of the Honor Guard and found Aldarn on the roof of one of the lower towers of the palace getting to his feet. The machine flew at him while firing a flame from it's mouth. And it would of hit it's mark had Micheal not showed up in time and jumped toward Aldarn and grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him along to one of the towers that was being built.
"Thanks for the save.", Aldarn said.
"Anytime.", Micheal said as he looked up at the dragon as he was scanning the area.
"Glad you could make it, lad.", Rayuthor said from a beam of one of the towers.
"What took you so long, lad?", Vathek questionmed with a smirk.
"That's one big dragon.", Micheal said. "If we can take out an eye, we might have a chance."
"Believe me I've been trying to do that.", Miriadel said. "But it keeps moving."
"Then let's fix that!", Drake said as he jumped at the dragon and smacked it with his mace only for the dragon to swing it's head and knock Drake down to one of the towers.
Micheal then jumped at the dragon and swung down at it's head knocking it downward. Seeing her chance, Miriadel fired an arrow at it's right eye and into the head of the dragon. As Micheal landed on one of the support beams of a half-built tower, he looked to see the dragon start to shake it's head as the rest of it began to go a bit out of control as it twisted and turned. Seeing this, the members of the Honor Guard nodded to each other and jumped at the machine and struck it hard sending it falling down to the palace grounds. At first, the machine wasn't moving to which the Honor Guard thought they had won the battle.
"Well that was fun.", Julian said.
"It's far from over!", came Hollens' voice from the machine as the left eye of the dragin began to glow. "We have one last trick left!"
"It's not over yet!", Alborn said as the dragon got to it's feet and took to the sky.
"It never gets easy.", Julian said as he jumped at the dragon and slashed at the belly of the metal beast.
Seeing this, Micheal had an idea as he jumped upwards towards Vathek who was on a higher beam.
"Hey, Vathek!", Micheal called out with his hand extended out to him. "How about a lift!?"
"With pleasure!", Vathek said as he grabbed Micheal's hand and used his strength to toss Micheal up higher. "Going up!"
Now as Micheal was going up, Julian was coming down from attacking the dragon's belly. Seeing Micheal going up, Julian turned himself upside-down and bent his legs and waited until he was under Micheal's feet and pushed him up some more.
"Go, lad!", Julian said as he landed on a beam next to Vathek.
Once he was up close with the dragon, Micheal saw what he was looking for and slashed at the dragon's anntena only to miss it and hit the side of the metal beast's head.
"Crap!", Micheal said as he began to fall back to the ground. "I need to get back up there!", he said as he saw the dragon fly up higher into the sky.
Hearing this, Tynar was the first to act as he held out his spear long enough to catch Micheal at his feet.
"Up you go!", Tynar said as he swung upwards sending Micheal into the air.
Seeing this, the rest of the Honor Guard jumped into action. Next was Aldarn who jumped from a tower and grabbed Micheal by the back of his shirt and tossed him up some more.
"Go!", he said as he fell down to a beam they landed on.
Next was Drake who jumped at him from a higher tower and placed his hands under Micheal's right foot and pushed up giving him more lift.
"Take it down!", Drake said as he fell back down to earth and landed on a tower roof.
As he was flying upwards, Micheal was passing by one of the higher towers and saw Raythor jumping at him from said tower with his hand extended to him.
"Fly, lad!", Raythor yelled as he grabbed Micheal's hand and tossed him up some more.
Finally, Micheal came to the highest tower were from out of no where, Miriadel came jumping from the balcony with her hand extended with a smile.
"No going back!", she said as she grabbed his hand and flung him upward.
As he closed in on the dragon, Micheal saw that the metal beast was ready to fire a massive fireball down at the palace and all those in it and on the palace grounds.
"Now what!?", Micheal questioned himself knowing that he was in trouble.
And then it happened! A glow suddenly came from the necklace Selece gave him surprising him. Next thing he knew, Micheal was enveloped in a thing of light. And in this light he saw two people he never thought he'd ever see at a moment like this. For they were his late grandparents who were smiling at him. Well... it was their spirits. You get the idea!
"What the... Grandma Gail!? Grandpa Lou!?", Micheal questioned in surprise.
"Let's finish this, Micheal.", Grandma Gail said as she and Lou placed their hands over his as he held onto his broadsword.
"Show them what we Robertsons are made of!", Grandpa Lou said with a smirk as he and Gail vanished.
Suddenly, Micheal felt a surge of power run through him as he flew towards the dragon just as it was about to fire it's fireball. But that didn't scare Micheal as he closed in on the dragon. Once he was close enough, Micheal did a spinning attack taking out not only the anntena but forcing the dragon's mouth closed and taking out the dragon's left wing causing the dragon to fly out of control while the fireball was unleashed inside of it cauing it to crash land far from the palace getting cheers from the Honor Guard and those on the palace ground. As for Micheal, he landed on a support beam of an unfinshed tower.
"One more thing, kiddo.", came Lou's voice.
"Tell Selece we said hi.", Gail said to which Micheal smiled.
"I will.", Micheal said before rejoining the rest of the Honor Guard.
"Nicely done, lad!", Raythor said as he patted Micheal on the back.
"Thanks.", Micheal said.
"We can't take a rest now", Alborn said. "We still have a battle to win."
"Indeed.", Vathek said. "We'll have plenty of time to celebrate later. Right now our queen needs us!"
"Then let's ride!", Raythor said as they ran to their horses and headed back to the battlefield.
Seeing the dragon fall from the battlefield were the forces of Meridian and Yollen who gave a cheer of victory.
"Alright!", Elyon said. "Let's hope there aren't any more of those things."
"You and me both.", Matt said as he took down a robot mogriff.
"Their mighty dragon is defeated! If it can be beaten, then so can the rest of their forces!", King Terren proclaimed. "Let us press forward and end this battle!", he said to which the combined forces of Yollen and Meridian let out a fierce battle cry as they pressed forward.
"Wow! He knows how to motivate pepole.", Elyon said as she went back into battle.
Also seeing their dragon fall from the battlefield was an upset Hollens and Riddle who were more than surprised at what just happened.
"Well that was unexpected.", Riddle said as he and Hollens watched what happened from a distance of the battlefield.
"To bad that was our only dragon.", Hollens said. "But we still have our Hermeneuta Beast tanks."
"And if they defeat them?", Riddle questioned.
"Then we use our final trump card.", Hollens said. "But they still have to defeat our troops. And as you can see, they're getting better."
And Hollens was right. For each robot that fell, the others learned from them and became better in combat. The ground robots became better enough to fight back against two to three soldiers. Some even began to grab the weapons of the fallen robots and use them with their own. And to make matters worst, robot wolves and jungle cats soon joined the fight. And these bad boys were powerful as they charged into battle. As for the robot Mogriffs, they learned how to dodge the attacks of the Guardians, Elyon, Matt, Xolley, and Yollen Rocket Troops. They began to gang up on the Rocket Troops and take out their rocket packs. Thankfully they had parachutes to safely fall to the ground and join up with the ground troops. Which was something of a good thing with what they had to fight. But soon, there were only a handfull of Rocket Troops in the air aiding our young heroes.
"Is it me or are these robots getting better?", Hay Lin questioned as she dodged a slash attack from a robot Mogriff's claws.
"It's not you, Hay Lin! They are getting better!", Alchemy said as a Robo-Mogriff dodged one of her fireballs. "Much better!"
"If this keeps up, then we may have to pull back!", Elyon said as she put of a force field to block some energy blast from some robot Mogriffs.
"You know, I've been thinking.", Taranee said as she hit a Mogriff robot with a fireball. "There has to be a master computer controlling all of these robots."
"And connected to that computer is a power source and a powerful anntenna.", Selece figured.
"Question is where is it.", Cassidy said.
"Only one way to find out.", Will said. "Selece and Hay Lin! It's time for a stealth mission!"
"Gotcha!", the two Air Guardians said knowing what they had to do as they went invisible.
"Find the computer and anntenna and take it out!", Selece said.
"And be careful!", Angelo said. "There may be some robots there guarding it. And they may have heat sensors!"
"Right!", Hay Lin said as she and Selece flew off in the direction the robots were coming from.
"Let's hope they can find them before these things get too smart.", Irma said as more robot Mogriffs came at them.
"We fight until we can fight no more!", Caleb said as he held his sword ready to fight on.
"What do you know. Something we agree on.", Angelo said. "Will wonders never cease.", he said as everyone continued to fight on.
Now down on the battlefield, the Honor Guard had returned to join the fight and they returned strong as they went to work on the robots. Of course, Miriadel rejoined the archers in defending the area that the injuried were brought to. Seeing this, Elyon flew down to her adoptive mother to see if she was okay.
"How are you and the rest of the Honor Guard holding up?", Elyon asked.
"We're doing okay.", Miriadel said as she fired an arrow at an incoming robot while Elyon blasted another one. "Never thought we'd have to fight a robot dragon."
"Speaking of which, how did you all take that thing down?", Elyon asked as she blasted another robot.
"Well it was Micheal who struck the final blow.", Miriadel said. "I don't know how he did it, but he was able to call forth some kind of power that enveloped him and allowed him to slice off one of the metal beast's wings."
"But... how?", Elyon questioned.
"I do not know, but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have a home to go back to.", Miriadel said as she fired an arrow taking down another robot.
"Looks like the Oracle was right about us needing Micheal.", Elyon said as she fired a wave of energy at a group of imcoming robots. "That should give you all a small break.", she sahe as she took to the air to help her friends with the robot Mogriffs.
"Yeah. A small break.", Miriadel said with a grin as some more robots came marching at her and her fellow archers. "Ready! Aim! FIRE!", she said as she and the other archers fired their arrows.
As for Hay Lin and Selece, they were flying as fast as they could following the tracks of the robot horde. Soon they came to what they figured to be the base camp of the robots. Being careful, they flew to the base searching for the main computer and it's power source. Of course they had to be careful of the robots that were still there patroling the base camp. From robot soldiers to robot wolves. Thankfully, the two Air Guardians wee able to see each other and watch each others' backs.
"It has to be around here somewhere.", Selece said softly.
"Let's check behind on the other side of that semi-truck.", Hay Lin said softly.
Both Guardians flew to the other side of the truck and saw a large fold in which ten Hermeneuta Beast tanks, in their wheel modes, come through.
"Aw, man!", Selece said as they watched the tanks come to a stop ready to roll into battle. "This isn't good."
"Hey, look!", Hay Lin said as he noticed a satilite dish connected to a thick cable that went up to the back of the tailer of the semi-truck.
"I bet that the power source and main computer are in the trailer.", Selece said.
"And who knows what's in the trailer.", Hay Lin said.
"I think we can take out the dish.", Selece said.
"With what?", Hay Lin questioned.
"Follow my lead.", Selece said as she flew towards a robot soldier that had some blasters.
"What are you doing?", Hay Lin questioned.
"Watch.", she said as she picked up a rock and turned visable. "Hey, Tin-Head!", she said as she threw the rock at the robot hitting it's head causing it to turn towards her.
"Selece no!", Hay Lin shouted.
"Just trust me!", Selece said as the robot took aim at Selece and fired it's blaster.
Yet with her agility, Selece was able to dodge the shot. Soon the robot began to fire at Selece who easily dodged the shots. As she was doing this, Hay Lin noticed how Selece was moving towards the satilite and put two and two together as she became visible and threw a rock at a robot wolf that was patroling the area. Once it saw Hay Lin, it ran at her.
"Catch me if you can!", Hay Lin said as she flew off towards the dish.
Soon both girls were at the dish with both robots chasing them.
"Knew you'd figure out my plan.", Selece said to Hay Lin.
"Let's just hope they fall for it.", Hay Lin said as she kept her eye on the robot wolf that was chasing her.
"We're about to find out.", Selece said as the robot took aim.
As the robot soldier took aim, the robot wolf got ready to jump at Hay Lin. And then it happened. The robot wolf jumped at Hay Lin a second before the soldier fired it's blaster. To bad for them Hay Lin and Selece teleported away from the satilite dish just as the robot wolf landed on the dish. Sadly, the robot hit the robot wolf causing it to explode destroying the satilite dish. As for Selece and Hay Lin, they had teleported on top of the semi-truck.
"YeahI", they shouted as they high-fived each other.
Now back on the battlefield, all of the robots suddenly stopped working which meant that the robot Mogriffs simply fell from the sky.
"Looks like Hay Lin and Selece pulled it off.", Irma said.
"Thank goodness!", Elyon said as they landed amoung the troops.
"What has happened?", Queen Kalla asked as she kicked one of the fallen robots.
"Two of the Guardians have cut off the connection to the robots.", Elyon explained just as Selece and Hay Lin teleported before them.
"Great job, girls!", Will said to the two Air Guardians.
"Piece of cake.", Hay Lin said as she and Selece had their arms around each others' shoulders.
"So it's over?", Raythor questioned to which Elyon nodded. "It's over! We won!", he shouted while raising his sword.
Hearing that, all the soldiers cheered while raising their weapons in victory. Everyone began to congradulte each other for a great victory glad that the battle was over with.
"King Terren. Queen Kalla. On behalf of all of Metamoor, I wish to thank you and your warriors for aiding us in our hour of need.", Elyon said with a bow.
"It was our pleasure, Queen Elyon.", Queen Kalla said as she and King Terren bowed to Elyon. "For it could of been our world that these machines may of came to."
"I'm just glad that it's over with.", Elyon said.
"Think again, Your Majesty!", came a voice that got everyone's attention.
Walking up to them were the robots Hollens and Riddle controlled.
"What the heck?!", Cornelia questioned. "I thought that they were all done for."
"We have a special wireless control for these two robots.", Riddle said from his robot. "Not to mention their own power source."
"And now we shall use claim victory with them!", Hollens said from his robot.
"Wait a minute!", Cassidy said as she walked up to Hollens' robot. "Eddy? Is that you?"
The head of Hollens' robot opened to show a small video screen that turned on showing Hollens' face surpriing Cassidy.
"Hello, Cassidy.", Hollens said with a small smile.
"But... how? Why?", Cassidy questioned.
"All will be explained later.", Hollens said before turning towards Elyon. "Queen Elyon! I challenge you for the throne to your kingdom!"
"Are you kiddine me!?", Elyon questioned. "I can simply blast your two robots away."
"Do that and you'll set off the bombs we have in them.", Riddle said to which everyone jumped back. "That's what I thought."
"Why are you doing this, Eddy!?", Cassidy asked surprised at what he was doing..
"Why? I'll tell you why!", Hollens said. "Kandrakar that's why!"
"What did Kandrakar ever do to you?", Will questioned.
"HIS mother!", Hollens snapped as he pointed at Caleb. "If Kandrakar had done the right thing and helped Nerissa when she became corupted by the power of thwe Heart of Kandrakar then you and I would of lived a happy life together, Cassidy!"
"Oh, Eddy.", Cassidy sadly said as she walked up to Hollens' robot knight. "What we had was nice. And there a very good chance that we would of lived our lives together. But that's in the past. You have to let it go. Didn't you find love?"
"Of course I did.", Hollens said. "But you never forget your first love.", he said to which Cassidy gave him a smile.
"I'm touched but what you're doing is wrong.", Cassidy said.
"But with enough worlds under my command, I can make Kandrakar pay for what they did to not only you but all those that suffered from Nerissa.", Hollens explained.
"Look at me, Eddy.", Cassidy said as she was face to face with the robot Hollens was controlling. "If you love me, then please stop this and go back to your family. This war will solve nothing."
"As touching as that is, we must move forward.", Riddle said. "Earth's leaders really want to have colonies on other worlds."
"But out!", Selece snapped.
"But he's right.", Hollens said. "If we fail at this, then they'll send somebody else to do the job."
"Of course they will.", Elyon said.
"Which brings us back to my earlier demand, Queen Elyon.", Hollens said.
"And if I refuse your challenge?", Elyon questioned.
"I already sent a signal back to our factory through the fold.", Hollens said. "Right now, as I speak, agents are installing a new satilite dish. And once it's up and ready, all of our working robots will be activated and the battle will continue."
"So the choice is yours, child.", Riddle said. "Accept our challenge, and pick two to fight me and Hollens, or our robots will overthrow you all.", he said when he noticed Taranee whispering something to Will and Angelo.
"You sure?", Angelo questioned to which Taranee shook her head.
"Okay.", Will said before turning their attention towards Hollens and Riddle.
"And what do you two want?", Hollens asked.
"Nothing.", Will said. "Just waiting for you to start your robots up."
A/N: Okay then! Have Will and Angelo lost it!? What did Taranee tell them! And when all is said and done, what will happen to Irma and Caleb? Looks like you'll have to read and find out. By the way, some of you that are reading this, may recognize the ending to the fight between the Honor Guard and Dark Wing, the robot dragon. If not, then I'm sorry you're not Final Fantasy fans.
