We're doing this. It's happening. -Melanie

Ruby walked into team RWBY's room and looked around. It looked like everyone was doing homework, so she quietly slipped into her bed. This of course means that she jumped up to her bed, disturbing Weiss as much as humanly possible. The heiress surprisingly didn't react more than an annoyed grunt. Ruby just watched silently as the others worked away.

Eventually, of course, she had had enough of the quiet. "So, uh... what are you guys working on?"

Blake looked up and answered, and Ruby was shocked to see that Yang didn't even look away from her work. "We're preparing for a match against JNPR. Team against team."

Ruby hadn't heard about this. "Why didn't I know about this sooner? What are you studying that'll help? New tactics? Weapons? The location for the match? How much will winning do for our grades?"

Weiss called up to Ruby from the bottom bunk. "I don't think you quite understand the situation, Ruby. This is a grudge match. It's us and them. It is not a sanctioned battle."

That surprised Ruby more than anything else. "We have a grudge against JNPR? That's Jaune's team. You guys know that, right?" No one answered. "Come on, guys. Jaune's always been a great friend. And Ren and Pyrrha are really nice. And Nora is loads of fun! What can we possibly have against them?"

Weiss serious face suddenly appeared beside Ruby's bed, staring deep into Ruby's soul. "The severity of this unsanctioned confrontation is beyond what your feeble mind is capable of comprehending. Your skills and your tactics are useless in the battle ahead. This is no ordinary battle."

The seriousness in Weiss voice was getting to Ruby, and she didn't like it, so she looked to Blake for help. "Blake, are we really going through with this?" All she got was a nod. "B-but this is crazy! I don't want to fight our friends! Not like this!"

Yang finally looked up. "I'm done. Weiss, you wanna check it and make sure I'm good to go?" Weiss took the paper that Yang handed her and inspected it while Ruby pleaded with her sister.

"Yang, this is ridiculous! We can't really be seriously going to do this! Couldn't we at least take on CRDL or something? Why does it have to be Jaune's team?"

Weiss handed it back. "Well, I'm not going to say anything about your spelling, because you probably know what you meant to say. It also might be a bit too... plagiarizing. However, if we all swear a solemn oath never to breathe a word about this fight to anyone, then it shouldn't matter."

Ruby continued to plead. "Yang... please tell me you're not going to let them do this."

Yang looked up, a glint of red in her eyes. "We're going to destroy them."

Pyrrha lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. "I can't believe Weiss would challenge us like that, and drag her whole team with her. I know she's got a temper, but this..."

Jaune looked up from his preparations. "Well... there's not a lot we can do about it now. The challenge has been made, and if we ignore it we will forfeit all of our honor as a team. If... if we lose this, then we die knowing that we tried. But if we back down... then we don't even deserve to be here."

Ren shook his head. "I don't even know why we're doing this, really. It's stupid. We should just let Nora handle it. She started the whole thing."

Nora, who was hanging off the edge of her bed, just sighed. "Yeah, but I'm all fresh out of ideas. I need you guys as backup. There's no way I could take all four of them on at once with my reservoir of moves run dry. Besides, technically it was Ruby who started it."

Jaune nodded. "Yes, it was. That's why we're all going into this together. This war was started by them... and that makes us the good guys."

Pyrrha sat up and looked down at her work. It wasn't as much as she feared team RWBY had, but it was something. "Right... we can win this."

Could this be the end of a long friendship between the two main teams? What could have brought this on? Well, the answer is here! You've seen it before! A battle of the teams instigated by Ruby, Nora and Weiss! Next time, RWBY and JNPR will face each other in a fight to the death in the ultimate battle of the ages! Standing in the center of the currently empty Vale Arena are two girls, twin sisters. Melanie steps forward. "So, the gears of epic rap war begin to turn. All you can do is wait and watch."

Miltia steps past her sister. "But then... that's not entirely true, is it?"

Melanie pulls her sister back so that they are standing beside each other. "No, it isn't. That's right. I lied."

Miltia makes a face of mock disappointment. "So there won't be any real rap battling?"

Melanie smiles reassuringly. "Oh, yes there will be. That's not the part I was lying about."

Miltia looks hopeful. "Then what were you lying about?"

Melanie laughs. "Tee hee hee. There will be a rap war, but you don't have to just sit at the sidelines and watch the bombs fly."

Miltia smiles happily. "Oh, yes, that's true! You can join the battle!"

Melanie nods in confirmation. "Indeed. Send us the name of your character. Tell us about them. Show us the story they're in."

Miltia pumps her fist in the air. "And maybe you'll get to see them in the rap battle of the ages as well!"

Melanie smiles to the reader. "So let us know. All fan-made participants will be credited, along with their creators, in the credits at the end of the chapters they appear in."

Miltia grins. "And as always-"

Melanie looks over to her sister. "Wait, we don't have a catchphrase yet."

Miltia looks thoughtful. "Well, maybe we can get some suggestions on that too. If you have any good ideas for a catchphrase for RubyRolled, then send them our way. We'll be sure to thank you publicly when the catchphrase sees use for the first time ever."

The twins speak together. "Stay tuned for the most epic battle in RWBY history! See you there!"
