Hope you're ready for a Pirates Of The Caribbean parody! (may be mildly darker humor)

Blake and Yang entered the forest temple, looking around at the artifacts they had been told to choose from. Blake leaned in close to one, inspecting it. "Coins?"

Yang shrugged. "Why not? What's wrong with coins?"

Blake shook her head. "For some reason, I was expecting chess pieces."

Yang grabbed a piece, playfully rolling it along her fingers. "Well, we got what we came for. Let's get outta here."

Later, after all the pairs had returned with their artifacts, small golden coins, the teams were formed. The newly christened team JNPR was in their room, sorting out where their beds were going to be while Nora recounted her exciting tale of snatching up the coin from its pedestal. Suddenly, they heard a scream from across the hallway. Ren and Pyrrha jumped at the door, shoving it open and nearly kicking down the door across the hall, RWBY's door.

Before they could kick it down, though, Yang opened it. She held up her hands to stop them. "It's okay. Everything is okay. Weiss had a nightmare or something."

Pyrrha and Ren, with Nora and Jaune following closely, entered the room to see Weiss having fainted. Blake was sitting up in her bed and Ruby was standing by the closed curtains. It didn't look like any of them knew what had happened.

Nora jumped past everyone else. "I'll wake her up!" Inexplicably, Nora was holding a bucket of water, which she proceeded to dump onto Weiss face.

The soaked heiress bolted upright, gasping for breath. She looked around frantically, saw Ruby, and started backing away from her partner in terror. Ruby looked emotionally hurt by the reaction, but didn't move any closer.

Pyrrha stepped between the two, trying to get answers from Weiss. "What happened? What did you see?"

Weiss pointed around Pyrrha, her shaking finger singling out Ruby. "She changed! She changed!"

Glynda Goodwitch spat out her tea, the news shocking her. She glared at Ozpin for a number of reasons. "Aztec gold!? You used Aztec gold coins for the artifacts this year?!"

Ozpin shrugged innocently. "What? It'll give them something to work with."

Pyrrha pulled the curtains apart and opened the window, letting in some fresh air. "There. That should make it easier for you all to sleep." She turned to Weiss. "Better now?"

Weiss took a deep breath and lay down on her bed, her eyes wide open. Pyrrha motioned for Yang to turn the light back off. The light went off, and team JNPR moved to leave. Blake called them back.

"Guys? Look at Nora."

They all looked at Nora, who was standing in a beam of moonlight coming in from the night. There was the distinct sound of Weiss hiding under her blanket and whimpering. Nora was now a skeletal figure, wearing Nora's clothes and with Nora's hair. Ruby stepped into the moonlight as well, changing to a similar form, just more Ruby-like.

Bewildered, Yang reached out to touch Ruby, but stopped when she saw her own hand change. "What could have done this to us?"

Blake slid out of her bed and stood in the moonlight, but didn't change. She remained the same girl wearing a bow on her head, her adorable pajamas, and definitely healthy skin. "It appears it has only effected some of us."

Curious, Pyrrha poked her own hand into the moonlight. Turning her hand over, she saw that nothing had changed. "I'm normal too. I think it's the moonlight that changes you, so maybe that's what Weiss saw. Ruby closed the curtains, and Weiss saw her looking like this briefly."

Ruby giggled. "I bet we could play some great pranks on the other teams."

Yang pumped her fist. "That's my sister! Always looking on the upside!"

Ren checked his hands in the moonlight as well, relieved to find himself normal. "So why you three, then? What about Weiss?"

Weiss slowly poked her head out of her blanket. "It's only in the moonlight? She's not actually like that for real?"

Skele-Ruby shook her head. "I was in the moonlight plenty last night. I was completely normal."

Weiss cautiously stepped off of her bed and into the light, nearly passing out with relief when she found out she wasn't going to change. Emboldened, she nodded firmly. "You didn't change last night?" Ruby stepped out of the light, changing back to normal. Weiss took that as confirmation. "Then I think I know what did it. Ruby, Nora, and Yang were the ones who picked up artifacts."

Ren coaxed Nora out of the light, not wanting to see her like that any longer. He looked up at Weiss. "The rest of us have handled those coins as well."

Weiss nodded, suddenly sure of herself. "It only changes the people who took them from their resting place, I bet."

Pyrrha gasped, then turned to Jaune. "That means-"

Jaune held his hands up in front of him, backing out the door. "No. No no no no no no. I'm not turning into one of those..."

Pyrrha jumped forward and grabbed his arm, pulling him into the moonlight. Just as they had predicted, he transformed into a skeletal Jaune. Pyrrha quickly took her hand out of his, making sure not to let him see her wipe it off. Weiss and Blake watched in silent, bemused horror.

Ren spoke from the shadows. "How do you feel?"

Skele-Jaune held up his hands, looking at himself. "Weird... for some reason it doesn't seem so creepy when it's me. Like, I know that I'm looking at me, so my mind seems to be fine with it because it feels like everything is still what it should be."

Skele-Yang grinned. "Alright, let's go get Cardin."

Team CRDL's curtains had been drawn before the moon came out, and the four boys were fast asleep when Ruby, Yang, Nora, and Jaune climbed up to their window. Nora opened the windows, and the four quietly entered the room. Yang drew the curtains apart, letting the moonlight wash over the five of them.

In the extra moment it took them the realize that Cardin was now standing between them and the window, Russel flicked on the room's lights. In that instant, the night was filled with the sounds of Cardin playing Reveille on a trombone. The four intruders were shamed back to their rooms.

The next day, Glynda forced Ozpin to take the necessary actions to make all the students at Beacon normal Humans and Faunus again.

And Glynda also took away Cardin's trombone. Seriously, what's up with that?
