Ahh, PokéShipping. One of the first ships I paired with Ash. It's a classic, but it's definitely not the only one I support.
Twilight. How many of you squealed when you read that? …How many gagged?
So, anyone like parodies?
Story of Misty (PokéShipping)
"Misty… I have something that I need to show you…"
The red-headed tomboy stared questioningly at the boy she, for some reason, had a crush on. This kid, Ash Ketchum, who she had just met very recently, seemed to be a very mysterious kid. He kept to himself, sat by her in Biology class but never said much, and was very beautiful, just like the rest of his family. Family, being that they were all adopted. May and Drew were going out. And so were Dawn and Paul. Pretty weird, if you asked Misty. But everyone else in the school seemed to accept it. Guess they were all weird, too.
Misty didn't want to admit that she was attracted to the dark-haired boy, who she wondered if he ever bothered to brush his hair considering how unkempt it looked under that hat he always wore. But he was still beautiful either way. Beautiful… That was a very odd word to describe a boy.
Recently, she had had a run in with some random kid named Gary, who informed her about the legends of vampires and werewolves. Well, I guess he tried to be discreet about it because he said that he shouldn't talk about it, but the second Misty asked him to tell her Gary spilled everything. Supposedly Gary and his friends descended from wolves and the Ketchums were bloodsuckers. Vampires. Misty had to apply the word herself because Gary avoided using it for some reason.
So Misty became curious and easily deduced that it was so obvious that Ash was a vampire and that was that. No questioning it. It was easily acceptable.
After spending some time with him, Ash answered some questions Misty had for him and just went with it all, not curious at all as to how this girl knew his secret. They just kept going along with it. Totally cool.
And now Ash was here, in the middle of a dense forest near a clearing, to show Misty what happens when he steps out into the sunlight.
Misty kinda secretly hoped he would explode or something. I mean, that's what she expected from the real tale of vampires she had read about. It would be humorous to see.
So when Ash stepped out into the light, she was mildly disappointed. Nothing happened.
"What is it you wanted to show me?" Misty asked her sorta-kinda boyfriend.
"Don't you see it?" he said in a mysterious tone. Cause, y'know, vampires are mysterious and sexy when they talk in a tone like that. Squeal!
"See what?" Misty raised an eyebrow.
"I'm…sparkling."
Misty tried to keep a straight face, but couldn't once she realized that Ash had actually said that he was sparkling. "Bwahaha! What the hell is that? Sparkling? What, are you secretly a fairy princess, too?"
"No, I am not," Ash said, rather seriously. "I don't see what's so humorous about that."
"Dude, you look like an art project!" Misty was laughing so hard she was crying. "Someone covered you in glue and threw glitter all over you! You look like you just came from a party with Ke$ha!"
Ash didn't change his expression, only staring at Misty continuing to point and laugh at him. "Who's Ke$ha?"
"My gosh, Ash, listen to some good music once in your life!" Misty stopped making fun of him long enough to hit him with a giant mallet that came out of nowhere.
"Ouch!" Ash rubbed his head in confusion, not understanding why he was just bashed upside the head with the strange weapon. "Was that necessary?"
"Yes, it was!" Misty threw the mallet onto her shoulder, Ash not understanding how she could hold that huge object with just one hand. It completely defied all physics! Not that he could really explain why he existed. "If you're going to be my boyfriend, you're gonna have to be a little more manly than sparkling! Damn!"
Ash stared at her with the same monotone expression. "Um, okay?"
"Good! I'm not having a bitch as my boyfriend! So lay off the glitter and c'mon! It's time to meet your family! Oh shit!" Misty gasped. "Do they all sparkle, too?"
"…Yes," Ash answered.
"We are definitely going to have to fix this problem." Misty leaned forward and grabbed onto Ash's jacket. "Let's go." She dragged him across the forest floor, him not saying a word and just going along with it, like everything else that had happened.
Gary and another wolf friend of his named Leaf had watched the whole conversation from a few yards back. Leaf had been giggling at Ash being made fun of the whole time while Gary sighed.
"I like this chick!" Leaf chuckled. "I wanna be her friend!"
"Well, at least she's not your typical Mary Sue," Gary said. "Could you imagine me falling in love with someone like that? At least this girl's got spunk."
"Hey, eyes on me, Gary," Leaf glared at him.
I meant to make it longer, but if I kept going, I probably would have been tempted to continue through the whole Twilight series. It was actually kinda fun to write
I also kinda made fun of the typical "This story contains PokéShipping, ContestShipping, IkariShipping and OldRivalShipping". And I'm gonna let you know now, if you have not read the message on my profile, Gary x Leaf is LeafGreenShipping, not OldRivalShipping. Sheesh, that annoys the hell out of me
