The Melancholy Of Ruby Rose

Jaune sat at the table, letting the quiet day go by with hopefully not a single incident of disturbance. But, as with any such day, there was no real chance of a calm conclusion. Something had to go awry. He had a bad feeling. Looking up, he saw Ruby sitting at the other end of the table, her feet up in the air as she leaned back.

Velvet, a student one year ahead of them, set a cup of tea in front of him. He smiled up at her. She smiled back, then went to get another cup of tea. Watching her go, his eyes caught on Blake. She was seated in the back corner as usual, reading a book. Turning back to the table, Jaune looked across at Ren. The other boy motioned to the game between them, so Jaune quickly moved one of his pieces.

Suddenly, Ruby jumped up. "That's it! We need a computer in here!"

Jaune looked up. "Huh?"

Ruby grabbed him by the collar and dragged him out the door. "Let's go! We're heading to the Computer Club!"

At the Computer Club room...

Weiss stood on top of a chair, facing the intruders to her domain. "If you want to take a computer from us, you must battle to the death!"

Ruby pointed at Weiss dramatically. "No! The fight shall be to the pain!"

Weiss laughed. "Ha! The pain? I have trained myself to be impervious to all forms of pain! There is nothing you can do to-"

Ruby threw Jaune at Weiss, knocking her off the chair and sending them both falling to the ground. Jaune landed on top of Weiss, his face in her chest. The young heiress and Computer Club president turned cherry red. Jaune quickly scrambled off of her, scooting away and apologizing repeatedly and profusely.

Weiss shuddered and hid herself from him. "B-b-b-baka! Get out! Take the computer! You win! Just, please, don't ever come back here!"

Ruby smiled. "Ah, nope! not done here just yet! You're going to install it and set up the wi-fi!"

Weiss seemed to regain some of her composure. "You can't make me!"

Ruby held up a camera. "If you don't, I'll show these incriminating photos to everyone in the school!"

Weiss went pale. "What sort of photos could you have of me?"

Ruby chuckled menacingly. "I just took them right now. Photographic evidence of your molestation and harassment of poor defenseless Jaune!"

Amid Weiss' cries of horror, Jaune stood up. "Uh... Ruby? Wouldn't those serve to incriminate me more?"

Ruby looked to him like she hadn't thought of that. "Huh... you're right. Well, I still got a panty shot in there, so..."

"I'll do it! I give up! Whatever you want!" Weiss burst out into tears of utter defeat.

Ruby grinned. "I always win."

A Different Take On Winter

It was Summer vacation, and team RWBY had drawn straws. Weiss lost, so the four of them would be crashing at her place. Ruby spread her arms out wide, spinning around in the center of the room and taking it all in. Blake stood by the door, watching as Yang followed Weiss into the huge foyer.

Yang looked back at her. "Come on, Blake. We're not gonna let anything happen to you."

Blake mumbled to herself. "The heart of the enemy stronghold..."

Weiss turned, sighing. "Faunus aren't taken to very well here, but I won't let anyone give you a hard time about it. Why, I'd even fire a butler for treating you differently. That's how important it is to me that-"

Blake looked hopeful. "That our friendship stays strong?"

Weiss shook her head. "No, that we don't have to put up with any stupid people on Summer vacation. We're supposed to relax, remember?"

Blake rolled her eyes, but stepped into the house regardless. "Alright, here we go. So..." She looked around.

Ruby shouted from up on the balcony. "This place is even bigger on the inside than it looks outside!"

Weiss looked up at her partner. "What are you doing up there? That's a decorative balcony! There's not actually any way to get up there!"

Ruby called down. "But there's someone else up here already!"

"What?" Weiss looked to Blake and Yang. "Give me a moment. I need to see what's going on up there." But before she could take one step to find out who else was up where people shouldn't be, another voice rang out and echoed through the house.

"KITTY!"

A small girl around eight years old and sporting a long white ponytail leaped down from the balcony and tackled Blake to the ground.

Weiss groaned. "Aaaaand that's my sister Winter."

Winter jumped up, already having forgotten about Blake. "Weiss! You're back! That means everyone is here! Let's go play!" She ran off, trailing her arms behind her as she went.

Blake got up, seeing the last of the energetic girl disappear around a corner. "Wow. That was different."

Yang chuckled. "That was nostalgic."

Weiss cocked and eyebrow at that. "Was Ruby ever like that?"

Ruby landed beside her. "Wow! Was that your sister? Why didn't you tell us you had a sister? She's adorable! So unlike you! We should go play with her! It'll be a lot of fun!"

Weiss facepalmed. "Forget I asked."

Yang sighed. "I wish I had an adorable energetic little sister."

Weiss grumbled. "Yang, you do. She's right here."

Ruby glomped Weiss suddenly, hugging her. "You think I'm adorable!"

"W-what?! No, I- Yang! You tricked me into saying that!"

Author's note: And there you have it! Some good old anime parody, followed by the stunning realization that we know literally nothing about Winter Schnee! We shoud take that to mean Winter could be anything from a cute little five year old to a full grown disowned older sister. All we do know, is that Weiss is the heiress, not Winter.
