Ch. 11: Our first Tournament: The Tenkaichi Budoukai
Our training came along great and tough with the boy's 20 Kg and mine 40Kg added weights, the shells. We progressed pretty fast, though my weights had to be heavier than the boys, because I was older and had more strength standard if I want to excel my current strength.
Though I was given exactly 3 days off every month because of what happens and I usually go to Bulma's to take care of that. Launch is great, but it is nice to greet Bulma every month. I did see Yamucha a few times, but after the first incident, I made sure there was a distance between us. Then a few months ago, he vanished and gone off to the mountains to train.
Anyways, I was told about the tournament, since I spaced out about who those people were. I had a fiery determination just like the boys to train all I can. Right now, we are waiting for Goku to get Master Roshi for him to see our progression on our training by moving this mini mountain. It was set by Master that we want to show him.
Flashback
It was before we were to swim in the lake. Master was just saying our next instructions,
"Ok, now that you've worked up some good sweat, our next training is swimming."
"Eh?! There's more?!"
Krillian still doesn't understand that we train, dawn 'til dust, so we are going to still train, but I listened on.
"Of course! There lots more!"
I was disappointed by Goku's questioning, but I was kinda wondering the same thing. Master then spit on the ground in anger.
"Look at you two acting so cocky, even though you're still just tiny chicks! See here, Kagome doesn't complain and she's a girl! If you can't even temper your bodies, there's no way I'd be able to teach you any kind of fighting techniques!
"The day when I start to teach you fighting techniques is when I amass your physical strength to move this boulder here!"
He pointed to a small boulder with his staff. Krillain was in denial.
"N-no way! Th-there's no way anyone could move such a huge rock like that!"
I blinked. 'Is that what he really thinks?'
"Oh really?"
Master Roshi positioned himself in from of the small boulder, both hands on it, and pushed with a grunt. It moved a bit. He was out of breath now.
"U-understand? If you build up your bodies every day with training eventually you might be able to do this too!"
"Y-yes sir!"
We noticed that Goku was pushing against the small boulder with grunts. Master became agitated. He was about to say something until I placed a hand on his shoulder. I smiled.
"Just watch, he'll be able to do it."
He made a noise in the back of his throat of protest, but it went away when Goku gave a cry and moved the rock a couple of feet. I congratulated him and walked over to the boulder.
"Master watch this!"
I paced one hand on the rock and crouched. I gave a mighty shove and the boulder was toppling over, further than what Goku did.
"Aw, I guess I gotta keep training to catch up to Kagome!"
Krillain was flabbergasted and Master was telling us that he pointed to the wrong rock. He pointed to the huge rock. Goku tried to move it but couldn't. He looked at me expectantly. I sized up the rock and shrugged.
"I'll give it a try, but I can't promise that it will move right now."
I stood before it and placed my hands on it. I grunted when I started to shove. I yelled when I gave more strength. It moved a couple inches, but I turned and slide down the rock, tired. I looked to Goku, I didn't see the flabbergasted looks that Krillain and Master had.
"Sorry, I couldn't move it further Goku, but I'll train more to move it further. Though I can say that Master can move it further, am I right?"
I looked to him hopefully. H confirmed it and I grew excited as Krillain asked Master to show us. I moved so he could do it, but we had to go back to training. We had to swim the lake 10 times.
Goku started to shed his clothes, until he was naked. Krillain was more hesitant, but I didn't noticed until I had taken off my gi, showing my navy blue tub top and upper thigh shorts. I felt my skin crawling and shivered. I looked at Master to see him with a nose bleed and trying to cover it up horribly. Krillain had one too, but it was more if a trickle than a gush like Master. I looked to Goku.
"Are they alright? I didn't see or hear any injuries being made."
He shrugged cluelessly. I looked to Krillain, he was still clothed. I furrowed my brow.
"Hey, Krillian are you going to swim in the lake with your clothes on?"
"U-uh n-no, but-but how can you be calm when Goku or suggest that I be as well? Aren't you going to be embarrassed?"
I looked at him oddly.
"But aren't you around the same age as Goku? It doesn't really matter to me since you're so young. Besides, I've Goku like this since he was a baby. On our Mountain, we would go to the nearby hot springs together, right Goku?"
Goku agreed with me. Krillain seemed a bit grounded, but some kind of determination set in his eyes and took off his clothes with a blush.
We drove through the water. It felt good after sweating a lot, but I felt something coming. I looked behind me to see a shark coming after us. I yelled and swam faster, that was when the boys noticed the shark too. Master's warning was a bit too late!
End of Flashback
Oh, here comes Goku now! We demonstrated our strength. Goku and Krillan went first. I got into position like I did with the small boulder. I glanced behind me and smiled.
"Master remember that I couldn't move this rock, but a few inches with both my hands?"
At his bewildered nod I continued, "Now I can do it with 1 hand and much further!"
I grinned and focused to find my center. I pushed against the rock and pushed forward. I forced walk a few feet and then looked to Master to see his reaction. He just stood there with a shocked expression.
"u-uh not bad"
I grinned with Goku and we did a victory sign. We went back to Kame house and Master Roshi told us about how his way of training is the foundation of basics and we just need to work off of that to create our own fighting styles. After that, the boys started to wear 40Kg shells for the rest of the month. Since mine was already 40Kg, I was given 60Kg shell.

It was finally time. It was finally time for the tournament! We stood in front of Master Roshi, in a suit, as he told us that we need to leave for Southern City and to take off our shells.
We all felt much lighter after taking them off. I marveled at it while the boys did the same only more physical. Master suggested that we jump. We squatted down and up we went. The boys got to a certain height before they started to fall. I went higher than they did. I turned to fall parallel to the Earth. I grinned and squealed out my excitement. I shifted my hand and arm and I twirled through the air. I landed softly on my feet, upright.
Master called for us to change into uncomfortable clothes, but Krillain and Goku just looked to adorable. I had to go inside with Launch to change into a surprise dress that she got me. It was light blue and goes to my knees. It fitted to my top nicely in straps to hold it up but fluffed out slightly at my hips. I had a small white over coat with comfortable white sandals.
Launch did my hair half way up with a white strip of fabric. I stepped out of the house as Master closed the trunk of the car. I got many compliments from them. I blushed from being embarrassed and uncomfortable, it was drafty and it felt too nice to be worn. This was my first time wearing a dress. I looked down to try and hide my face from them to hide my burning face.
I felt someone rub my butt, and out of an instinct I didn't know I had, I slapped the person doing it. It was Master, but he was overshadowed by the purpled robed monk with a red hand print on his face, the same as Master's. I shook my head, though I hit Master, I didn't feel any guilt for doing it. After that we all hopped in the car.
Then we were off on this thing call an airplane. Me and Goku marveled at it and compared it to Kintoun. I sat down properly and just watched over Goku.
I couldn't wait for the tournament. This was going to be so fun! *grin*
