At Malfoy manner, Hermione couldn't believe where she was staying. She couldn't believe how big Dracos house was.
"This is unbelievable!" She exclaimed when they arrived.
"Not really", Draco smiled. Hermione just looked at him. "Oh, I guess it is to you, I'm sorry babe", he said kissing her. All of a sudden they saw a flash.
"Mom!" Draco yelled.
"I'm sorry! That was just so cute, I had to capture it".
"Draco, it's okay", Hermione laughed.
They sat down and had supper. After they ate, Mrs. Malfoy wanted Hermione to explain how certain muggle things worked. She had heard about them when she went on a trip to the muggle world, but didn't know what they did. So Hermione explained them to her and the next day they went on a day trip to the muggle world. In which Hermione bought a DVD player and some of her favourite movies, as she had some muggle money in her savings account for college, but wouldn't need it, since she's a witch. She also bought herself a big flat screen TV to watch the movies on. When they got home, she hooked it all up and showed them how it all worked. They watched a couple movies that night after supper, The Notebook and Ghost Rider, Draco and his mom loved the setup and the two movies. Hermione had other movies, but they were tired so they wanted to go to bed.
The next morning Draco decided to cook Hermione breakfast in bed.
"Hermione, are you awake?" He called thru the door. He heard a faint yes in reply.
He walked in with a tray of bacon, eggs and toast for her.
"Awe, breakfast in bed?" Hermione smiled sitting up.
"Yes, just for you. And I cooked it myself. My mom let the house elves go, so we do everything on our own now, and I love it", Draco told her. She tasted it and she enjoyed it very much. She also sharedit with Draco.
"Well, thank-you very much hun, that was good", Hermione said kissing him.
"You're welcome. I also wanted to talk to you about something"
"I'm listening", Hermione said leaning back against the headboard.
"Well, I've been thinking a lot about our relationship and…"
"You're breaking up with me aren't you!?" Hermione shrieked, interrupting Draco.
"What? No!" Draco said taking Hermione's hands. She sighed a huge sigh of relief.
"Then what?" She asked.
"I… I think… I love you", He stammered.
"You l-l-love me?" Hermione gasped.
"Yes I do, Hermione Granger, I love everything about you, I love your hair, your smell and most of all your personality. Hermione Granger, you've stolen my heart, you've made me a better person than I ever thought I could be, you've made me fall in love with you. Hermione Granger, will you marry me?" Draco finished and looked at Hermione. He produced a ring and held it up for her to see.
"Draco, we're so young. I don't know what to say", Hermione paused.
"I know we are, but we're graduating this year and then we can start our lives. Just because we get engaged now, doesn't mean we have to get married right away. We don't have to do it until you want. It can be a few years down the road. But I want you to know, that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you".
"I have to say… yes, I'll marry you baby!" Hermione said jumping into his arms and kissing him.
"This ring, Hermione, has been in my mother's side of the family for generations and she gave it to me to give to you", He said slipping the ring onto her left ring finger. Just then Mrs. Malfoy came bursting into the room and grabbed the two into a big hug.
"Mom, you were listening at the door!" Draco yelled.
"I'm sorry! I knew you were doing this, hence why I gave you the ring, I just had to listen. I'm sorry Draco".
"It's okay. I love you mom", Draco said.
"I love you too Draco".
That day they spent outside in the garden, all three of them, when Mrs. Malfoy said she wanted to talk to Hermione.
"So Hermione, I've been thinking, once you and Draco graduate, if you want to you can move in with us. And your parents are welcome to come as well. We have more than enough room, so we would really like it if you would consider it", Mrs. Malfoy finished.
"Of course I will, Mrs. Malfoy".
"Please, call me Narcissa", she insisted. Hermione nodded.
They sat out in the garden for the entire day, Hermione and Narcissa did some gardening, and then they went inside to make supper. After they ate they sat down and watched a couple more movies, Hermione had fallen asleep during the second movie, so when it was over, Draco picked her up and carried her to her bed.
It was 2:00 in the morning when the three of them were awoken by a big bang and the house shaking. Suddenly someone was in Hermione's room and pulled her off the bed. She screamed only to realize that it was Draco grabbing her to hide. They ran thru the room down the hall and into Narcissa's bedroom only to find her knocked out on the floor and they saw someone's back to them, this mysterious person was looking out the window. Draco and Hermione were panicked and tried to walk away quietly, but he already knew they were there.
"Grab them!" he bellowed to the people who were with him. They tried running, but weren't fast enough. The two goons used something hard and smacked both of the kids on the head and knocked them out. They came to about 15 minutes later. They were tied up.
"Draco, what's going on?" Hermione said shakily.
"I dunno. But I'm almost 100% sure, that the man in my mother's room, was my supposed father", Draco whispered.
"I'm scared", Hermione whimpered.
"I know hun. I'm sorry to bring you into this. He was locked away and Dumbledore put protective enchantments on our grounds and stuff, I didn't think he would be able to break thru", Draco explained. The door to the room they were in was opened and in walked Lucius Malfoy and two of his goons.
"What do you want?" Draco snarled.
"I want your life", he paused. "You are nothing like me, you are not a Malfoy, and you do not deserve to live. Nor does your mother, she lied to me for 17 years", Lucius replied nastily.
"I'm glad I'm nothing like you!" Draco yelled. "I've been afraid of you since I can remember; when you were locked up, that was the best day in mine and mom's lives. We were so glad to rid of you. If you kill us, you will not get away with it!" Draco finished.
"So, how long have you been dating this mudblood?" Lucius spat.
"Don't call her that!"
"Well, my idea of a way to die, is to make people suffer", he smiled sickly. One of his goons grabbed Draco, the other grabbed Hermione and undressed them.
Fifteen minutes later they heard someone fall to the ground and then they saw Narcissa holding her wand out towards the two goons.
"Get away from them!" She yelled. They didn't move, so Narcissa cast stupefy on both of them and then the binding spell, on the three of them.
"Oh my gosh, are you guys okay?" Narcissa ran over and helped them redress and then they apparated to St. Mungo's. Hermione clung onto Narcissa and didn't want her to leave her alone. "Shhh Hermione, I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay right here with you", Narcissa told her, rubbing her back.
"Thank-you", Hermione whispered as the doctor came in. "Where's Draco?" Hermione asked the doctor.
"He's fine, he's in the next room. He feels very embarrassed about what happened, he explained it all to me. He doesn't think you wanna see him again. In the meantime, let me check you out, make sure there is nothing wrong", she told Hermione ad beckoned for her to climb onto the bed.
"Narcissa, can you please go tell Draco that I don't blame him, and I want him in here with me?"
"Yes, of course sweetheart", Narcissa said.
In the next room, Draco sat there crying and very upset. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He heard a knock on the door and in walked his mother. She took one look at him and started crying herself.
"Mum…" He couldn't find anything to say.
"Shhh, Draco sweetheart, it's okay. Hermione asked me to come in here to see you and to tell you that she doesn't blame you and she would like you to be in there while the doctor examines her".
"I don't know if I can face her. I never wanted something that should be special to turn out like this. I was waiting for her to decide when she wanted to. But I think this may have destroyed her and our relationship", Draco cried. Narcissa gave him a hug.
"Draco, she told me that she doesn't blame you and she wants you in there with her. Hun, you have to go in and support her. And you guys can talk about it after". Draco nodded and he left the room and stepped into the next one. Hermione turned around and they both started crying again. Draco turned to leave when Hermione didn't say anything.
"No, stay", she said when she saw that he was gonna leave. She put out her hand for him to take. He walked over slowly and took her hand.
I'm so sorry Hermione", Draco said sorrowfully.
"I know. I don't blame you one bit", Hermione said while the doctor examined her.
"A good thing about being magical is that I have a potion to give you, which will prevent you from getting pregnant", the doctor told her and unstoppered a bottle of clear liquid. Hermione drank it. "And you will fully recover from the bump on your head and the other issue. There is nothing wrong. You guys can go anytime. But do not return to your house. I have sent Aurors there to try to get the people responsible".
"Thank-you doctor", Hermione said as she got off the bed.
"Yes, thank-you", Draco said as they walked out of the room and met Narcissa in the hall.
"We can't go back there, where are we going to go mum?" Draco asked.
"We don't have anywhere to go", she told them.
"We can go to the burrow and see if they'll let us stay there for a couple of days", Hermione said.
"Are you sure you still want to be with me?" Draco asked sadly.
"Of course I do!" Hermione said. "Draco Malfoy, I love you and I always will. Something that wasn't your fault will not change that", Hermione said, kissing him.
"I love you to", he told her, kissing her back.
