Allen waited for the line to change at the cross walk. She checked her phone to make sure she was still on time; she was ten minutes before the meeting time. Glancing to her left she could see the scowl on Kanda's face as they waited. Mugen was slung over his right shoulder and his aura held volumes of both anger and annoyance. Whom it was pointed at Allen didn't know, but she didn't really care.

When the light finally changed the two teens walked across the street, among many couples both old and young. Allen put her gloved hands in her white pea coat, the winter air was getting to her a little bit as she sunk into her purple scarf some more.

"Feeling a little chilly, Moyashi?" Kanda asked with a small smirk. She sent a glare his way then returned her eyes forward. "No, I just don't like winter all that much." Kanda shrugged and they continued their short journey to the café, ignoring the stares and whispers as they passed people.

Tara was already inside, looking slightly panicked, and worried, as though she though Allen might have backed out of the meeting. Her dark brown hair was up in a messy bun, and she kept checking the clock with her olive green eyes every few seconds. A cup of tea and a sugar was set on the table in front of her. She had on a cream button up shirt tucked into a pleated navy blue skirt, black tights and black-heeled ankle boots. Her head whipped around at the sound of the café's bell.

"Allen you're here, I'm so happy you could make it." Tara said happily, she almost wanted to cry out in joy. Allen's demeanor changed as she spoke to Tara. "Its nice to see you as well Tara. It's been a long time since we've talked to each other." Allen said with a wide smile as Tara went to hug her. "Where are my manners?" Allen said as she stepped aside to reveal a stunned Kanda.

"Tara this Yuu Kanda, but everyone calls him Kanda, he's here to make sure I get home safely." Tara nodded in understanding. "Kanda this is Tara Becker, my future agent. She is extremely good at her job." Tara waved "Allen you flatter me, I'm not that good."

Kanda finally broke out of his daze but his only response was a nod of his head. "Allen, come sit and order something. Your friend should order too, I'm buying." Tara said excitedly as she took her seat across from Allen, Kanda to Allen's right. "There's no need for that Tara, we both ate before we came here." Allen said in a reassuring tone "You don't have to spend your money on us." Tara nodded with a small smile then finally started with their meeting.

Tara reached into her large purse and pulled out a pack of papers and handed them to Allen. "This contract states that you will have to record in our studios and our studios only. You are expected to make create at least three albums within the next four years of being a part of the team." Tara began as Allen looked through the packet. "I assume that the part about me being a minor and needing to finish high school still stands as well?" Allen inquired. "Yes that is required since you are not old enough to sign this on your own. Also you will be in a contract with us for six years, I hope that is okay. The company will handle all advertisements, and pay for any expenses that are required for you during travel, concerts and recordings."

Allen nodded as she pulled out a pen to sign; Tara excused herself to go to the bathroom. Kanda took this moment to ask a question. "You seem to be pretty confident in this. How can you be sure that this deal is any good?" Allen shrugged as she finished her neatly done signature. "Tara and her company have been trying to do business with me since I was 4 and played at a school competition. I won and before we left Tara and her partner asked to meet again, under better circumstances."

Kanda was genuinely intrigued by this "Why didn't you sign before?" "My parents wanted to wait until I was older. It would be a lot of pressure to put on a four year olds shoulders, and I guess they were worried that I would get sick." Tara returned and looked through the documents. Allen signed everywhere she needed and the only empty spaces were where Cross would need to sign. That would come later in a bigger meeting. "Thank you so much Allen, I promise you won't regret joining Millennium Records."

After the two hugged and said their goodbyes, Allen and Kanda headed back to his car. However upon reaching the vehicle Kanda received a text from Tiedoll. Kanda's face contorted in slight anger as he read it. "Is something wrong Kanda?" Allen asked stoically. Kanda huffed as they got in and he started the car. "Tiedoll wants me to go pick up some of the gifts he ordered, so we have to go to the mall before I take you home."

Allen shrugged, "That's fine I need to look for some presents anyway." They drove 15 minutes to the mall in comfortable silence. Allen looked out the window, listening to her music, and took note of all the trees. Kanda only paid attention to the road, grateful that he had time to think.

After parking they walked into the store and immediately headed for the register. Allen noticed the suits to her right and nudged Kanda's arm. He faced her with a dry scowl "What size suit are you?" She asked.

He looked at her like she grew a second head. "Why do you need to know?" "I want to get Cross a new suit. He spilled wine on his last one. And I'm almost sure he's a little bit bigger than you in size." She said picking up a crisp white suit and holding it against Kanda's chest. Kanda just stood there and waited for her to make a decision and sent a glare to whoever stared too long or commented on how cute he and Allen looked together.

She finally settled on a black suit just before the cashier came back with the gifts wrapped up for Kanda to take home. "Have a good evening sir." The clerk said, Kanda only grumbled in response. Allen went to the other side of the counter to buy the suit.

"Put it on the Judgment tab." She said and pulled out some sort of card. The clerk nodded hurriedly and did as best as he could to wrap the expensive suit. Once the task was completed the duo decided to walk around the mall.

They were able to ignore all the whispers that started as they walked. Neither really cared but it was very annoying after a group of boys and girls watched them.

"Oh my gosh he is so hot!" One of the girls said. "That chick is kinda cute." Those were the more common ones; the others included an older couple that was cooing over them. "Aren't they so adorable together?" The elder woman said leaning into her husband. "Reminds me of us when we were that age. Ah, to be young and in love."

Kanda tried hard to forget that comment. He snuck a glance to the short female beside and snapped his eyes forward again. 'Me and the moyashi, no way.' "Hey Kanda can we break for a moment, I'm hungry." Allen asked as they neared the food court. Kanda paused in thought and agreed, he was hungry as well. Plus they didn't have anything while they were at the café.

Allen scanned the area and paused at one of the Chinese restaurants. it was a smaller version of her Aunt's place: The Red Dragon. She pulled on Kanda's arm and pointed in the direction of it. "Can we eat there?" She asked but was already dragging him off in the direction of The Red Dragon.

"Do you have money for this place?" Kanda asked as he allowed himself to be dragged. Allen nodded her head. "My Aunt owns a chain of these restaurants, so all the managers know me and give me discounts. These are the only Asian restaurants I eat at." Kanda just looked on with a mask of rehearsed indifference. On the inside he was trying to figure out how many connections this girl had.

A/N: I know 'The Red Dragon' sounds kind of lame but it was the first thing that popped into my head. And I apologize once again for the late update, but I plan on finishing this story. I hope I'm not pissing anyone off. Thank you all for your support.
