"I know you, I saw you at school once." Allen said in genuine surprise, before she moved aside for both visitors. "Cross I didn't know you invited them." Cross shrugged "That's because I didn't." 'And if I had the choice I wouldn't.' "Then what are you both doing here?"
Kanda just couldn't believe it. Tyki Mikk and Road Camelot were here as well. Kanda was extremely irritated, and he did his best not to show it. He didn't like the way this guy eyed Allen, or her being around him.
It's not that he cares about her or anything, or left kendo practice early when Lavi told him that Allen was carried to nurse by Link after they had lunch. And he would never admit that he didn't have a problem when Tiedoll asked him to watch Allen last weekend or that he enjoyed her company. Admittedly it was a nice change of pace, from all the basic girls at the school. But he'll never say that out loud. Never.
Both Road and Tyki were dressed in, what appeared to be, expensive clothes. Almost as if they just bought then that same day. "I know you weren't expecting us, but the Earl, had some unexpected meetings he had to go to and asked if we would come in his stead." Tyki explained smoothly, in his deep, silk like voice. "I hope your not too disappointed."
Allen smiled as she closed the door. "That's fine, I've heard he's a busy man. I'm happy that you could join us." Tyki took her hand in his own, caressing it softly. "And thank you for allowing us to stay with you, Allen."
He gently kissed her gloved, right hand, sending a look of triumph to his fellow students. Cross sent him a knowing look. That boy was similar to Cross, in terms of flirting of course, however his niece was much smarter than the average female that he knew attended the Black Order. He's seen the way some of them dress.
He was more worried about this boy than he was about Allen. She knew how to defend herself, he taught her well. But even with the best teacher she still had to be weary around people, which she was. Allen softly, yet forcefully, removed her hand from his grip and spoke calmly "Please make yourselves comfortable, we're expecting one more person before the party begins." She explained while gently wiping her hand on the back of her dress.
"Wow Allen you look so pretty, just like a doll!" Road complimented as the Allen closed the door and took their coats. "Thank you Road, that's very kind." The whitette murmured with a blush painted on her face. Many of the younger males felt their hearts soar slightly at the face she made. It made her look heavenly, like an angel.
"I have refreshments made, so you all can snack until dinner is ready." Anita said with multiple platters balanced in her hands and arms. Drinks were on the counter behind her. "Thank you Anita." Cross said, before turning to face Allen, "I'm not sure if he'll be here anytime soon, will you be ready to play soon."
"Yes whenever anyone would like to listen, I can play while we wait if that's okay with everyone." "I would like to hear something from our music prodigy." Tiedoll said happily. Marie nodded in agreement. Daisya replied excitedly "Hell yeah, I heard that you could seriously." Allen laughed a little at that. He wasn't lying, she could play if she really wanted to, and it wasn't just piano either.
"Okay then I'll play something that goes with the mood. I hope you all enjoy." Allen said with a small curtsy before she disappeared back into the room with the piano. A few moments into the conversations and Allen's disappearance they could hear the sounds of Christmas music being played. As well as some soft humming.
"I wonder if her singing is as good as her humming." Road said absentmindedly. Tyki hummed in agreement, he had a cup of punch to his lips. "My guess is that she can sing, she might just be waiting until she sings one of her own songs before she lets us hear her voice."
"Allen's got a really nice voice." Lavi murmured aloud. Tyki stared at him a moment, silently asking him to give an explanation. "Me and Yuu heard her from the music room, singing. It sounded really sad though. I wonder what it was about." Lavi ignored the glare he was receiving from Kanda for using his first name.
"It was an accident actually, I didn't even know she was in there. It just sounded a lot like her." Lavi explained with a goofy smile. Kanda rolled his eyes, and Daisya laughed at him. Typical Lavi. "Still I want to hear her sing something original." Road muttered as she played with some of the food on her miniature plate.
Everyone suddenly stop talking when Allen stopped playing all the Christmas songs she knew. She'd been playing for over an hour, she needed to take a break before her fingers broke off. Anita brought Allen a medium sized plate that was filled with snacks, mostly sweets.
"Thank you, auntie." Allen took a seat on one of the couches. It dipped when two more bodies joined her. To her right was Road with Tyki standing beside her. On her left was Narain and, surprisingly, Kanda as well.
"So Allen," Road began a conversation "Tara told us that you write your own songs, how many do you have so far?" Road asked her gold eyes shining in mischievous excitement. Allen swallowed a piece of chocolate before answering "I do write my own songs, and write now I might have six or so. I'm still working on one now." She answered, a smile plastered on her face.
"Have you ever written anything for someone?" Tyki asked this time. "No one has every asked me to. But I do have some that are about other people." "I can't wait to hear you play, them Allen." Tyki said in a low voice. Allen's mouth twitched, it was very minuscule, but the smile stayed in place. "Well then, I hope you enjoy it."
Kanda could practically see the waves of irritation coming from Allen. It made him rather happy that she disliked the bastard, especially since almost every other girl in the school seemed to fall for his charms. One of the few exceptions being Loufa. He was, dare he say it, looking forward to seeing the day she lashed out at him. Honestly whenever she loses her calm façade, due to him being a jackass, it's rather entertaining. It seemed more like a true Allen, instead of the fake happiness that she was showing right now. But he'll never admit that out loud.
It wasn't until 30 minutes later, after many questions from the cousins, Allen announced that she was going to play one of her own songs for everyone, and if they wanted to watch they could. With everyone gathered into the next room, Allen took her seat at the piano and called for Timcampy. During this, a knock on the door signaled that the final guest had arrived, Cross went to let them in.
"Tim, show me the notes for Soundless voice." Tim's mouth opened and Allen soon began to play the sad melody, as Cross re-entered with another male guest.
