"A-alright c-class, I hope e-everyone had a n-nice break." Miranda stuttered out. The class ignored her for the most part, just like all of her other classes. A typical pre-calculus period.

Miranda was a shy and timid woman, she also has an extreme case of insomnia. Despite these two facts she was one of the best math teachers at the Black Order. Because the students didn't pay attention to her she assigned book work and allowed them to work in pairs or groups. Those that didn't get any of the work done simply got the grades they earned.

She sighed quietly and wrote on the smart board the different pages and problem numbers then sat down and attempted to get a bit of rest.

"Hey Allen wanna work together?" Lavi asked, he turned around to look at her and Kanda. Apparently all of the teachers feel the need to sit Allen and Kanda next to each other, as she is the only one not completely afraid of him.

"Sure Lavi." She replied while pulling out her books and a notebook. "Yuu, why don't you join us?" Lavi asked with a sly look. Kanda responded with a growl that stopped when Allen spoke. "It's okay to say yes you know. I doubt anyone is gonna mess with you just because you actually took Lavi's offer to study with him."

She sent him a confident smirk to which he glared. "After all he is your only friend." Kanda continued to glared at her even as he got his own materials out. "See that wasn't so hard." She gave him a bright smile.

They started working on their problems and realized that Allen was ahead of them by at least three problems. "Allen how are you working so fast?" Lavi asked. Allen paused in her work and looked up. "I had to catch up in most of my classes when I was younger because Cross and I were always traveling. In some schools I was ahead and in others I was behind, normally I had to review everything during breaks because we would end up moving again."

Allen turned back to her work. "Wow that sounds rather harsh, to have to move around like that." Lavi said. Allen shrugged "It's not all bad, we're multilingual because of it." "Really?" Kanda asked skeptically. Allen looked back up.

"Yes I can speak French, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, Spanish, Russian, German and I'm fluent in Japanese." "Really then can you understand what I'm saying right now?" Kanda asked in Japanese. Allen smirked and continued working before replying. "Yes I can. I do recall saying that I was fluent in Japanese."

"Look at that." Lavi jumped in. "The ever multi-talented new student Allen." He chuckled "Wait til everyone else starts finding out about your other hidden talents. The whole school is gonna be jealous of you." Allen gave him a hard look. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about this. Its bad enough Lenalee is and her posse are out to get me, I don't want them to have another reason to come after me."

"Alright Allen whatever you say." A short pause. "But can I see what you did to solve number 7, I'm kinda stuck." Allen nodded and leaned over to explain the problem to Lavi. "Okay it looks like you over thought this problem. It's like regular addition and subtraction you just carry the sign to everything inside the parentheses."

"Oh I get it now! Thanks Allen." Lavi turned back around to continue the other problems. Afterwards he was flying through many of them, but still wasn't as far as Allen. Every so often he would ask another question to which Allen answered almost happily.

Kanda ignored them as best he could, which was hard considering it wasn't just them that were talking. Miranda had fallen asleep and was snoring at the front of the class. Half of the class wasn't even doing the work and were just talking amongst themselves.

'There's only 15 minutes left.' Kanda reminded himself. And just as he thought the bell rang 15 minutes later. He quickly packed up his stuff and headed for the next class that he had with the annoyances he sat next to.

Krory's class flew by just as quickly as Miranda's. He actually spent most of the time ranting about Romania and the figures that were made into legends, such as Count Dracula and Elizabeth Báthroy.

Lunch hit and they trio discussed their next class. "I heard our teacher has finally showed up. Apparently she was busy helping some endangered animals back in Brazil." Lavi said excitedly. "Where the Hell do they find these teachers?" Kanda muttered.

"Anything else besides that Lavi?" Allen said while chewing on a dango stick. "Well she's blonde, and hot and carries a little monkey on her shoulder." "Anything else Lavi?" "Yeah she had been in an accident while in Brazil and that's the reason why she hasn't been here."

"What type of incident?" Allen asked in general interest. "Some sort of fire that got to her face. She was in the hospital for almost three months because she was in such critical condition." Lavi said seriously. "Wow, I wonder what happened?" "Maybe she'll tell us during class." 'Or she'll keep it to herself, since it's none of our business.' Allen added bitterly.

The bell rang for fifth period and the students settled down some, many couldn't help the excitement coursing through them. Their actual teacher was finally going to show up today and they had all heard the rumors about her absence.

Suddenly the door opened and in stepped a woman of average height and build with back length blonde hair. Her hair blocked the students view of the left side of her face until she stood behind the desk and faced them.

"Good afternoon class, my name is Klaud Nine and this is my partner Lau Jimin. I will be your Animal Science teacher as well as the Botany teacher for the school. I'll let you know right now that I will not tolerate bullies, disrespect or cheating in my class. When you're in my presence I expect to see intelligent young men and women. Am I understood?"
