Peeta's POV :

She was falling back into that state... that blank stare the dark eyes the way she was looking at me right now. I knew at this moment Katniss Everdeen was slipping away from me, out of my grasp right when I was trying so hard to get her back.

"Katniss... that's you, you're Katniss"

I'm not lying..there's this threat I've been trying to forget about.. pushing it to the back of my mind but for some reason it never really goes away it just fades for a little bit but returns in full force every time something like this happens to Katniss.

It's that everlasting threat of loosing her and loosing all that progress that we have made though these last few months. She's not responding anymore and that isn't normal.. I decided to call Dr Miles who said to bring her into his office if I could so I did and for some reason I'm really nervous that this time might just end up ruining everything we've worked for.

We arrive at Dr. Miles and as soon as Katniss is out of hearing distance I let him have a piece of my mind

"Listen...half of the time I don't know if Katniss is coming or going and everyday I wake up with that threat of loosing her frankly I'm tired of this endless mess already these ups and downs goods and bads."

"So what do you want to do Peeta? give up? you're the one who told me to keep trying everything I can to make her better to get her back to you now Haymitch and everybody else have no complaints about that except for you."

"I'm not complaining Miles I'm just tired of this."

"So then give up Peeta."

"No."

"Why.. why is it so hard for you to let go? it's draining you and taking up your life she's not there and you know that so stop trying to fix something that can't be fixed."

"You told me you could and yeah she's still there I know that for sure.. I find beauty in people who aren't always beautiful Doctor. I suggest you try the same."

"I do see your perspective."

" don't ... the love of my life is fading away and you couldn't give a shit about that. You're ready to slap a crazy girl label on her and ship her off to a mental facility. You have no clue what we've been through because if you did you would know that no medicine on this planet could or would fix what we've seen."

There was a long pause before I asked for Katniss to come out of the room so we could leave.

She seemed quiet and reserved in the car...like the old Katniss. You know the one that was a open book and liked to hunt in the woods.

"I..I got you a surprise Katniss."

She kept looking out of the car window,

"It's a bow and arrow, thought you would like 's in the back."
