Normal pov:
There was a deadly silence in the fairy tail guild as Ashton and Lexi were held back from completely destroying the guild by their fathers.
"LET ME GO, LET ME GO!" the young Fullbuster yelled as she tried to break free from her fathers hold.
"DAD LET ME PUT THAT BRAT IN HER PLACE!" Ashton Dragneel shouted as he too was trying to break free from his fathers firm hold.
The two were staring each other down as they wanted to hurt the other badly. the anger they had was never like when they were little and would fight on a regular basis.
"WOULD YOU TWO CUT IT OUT!" Natsu and Gray yelled at their children. Natsu looked at his angered son, he has never seen Ash ge tso worked up in a fight with Lexi. Usually after two blows the fight would end, but this time they looked like it wasn't over till the other drew blood.
Gray held his daughter tightly as she was constantly struggling to break free. He never fully understood her and her constant bickering with the young Dragneel but he knew that this fight had a deeper meaning. Natsu dragged his son outside to take him somewhere he could cool down whilst Gray took his daughter to the library so he could somehow understand the situation.
Everyone else in the guild looked at each other with concern. They all wanted to get involved and stop the fight but they knew it would have made matters worse. Nashi looked at Bo and Max as they started to clear up the main hall that now looked like a battle field. Burned and frozen furniture were scattered all around. Nashi jumped over the bar to help out the Redfox twins.
"Didn't think they were going to take it that far" Melody said as she too was helping to clear up.
"It was unavoidable" Mirajane answered her daughter sweeped the floor.
"The brats needed to snap at one point" Laxus added as he helped his wife .
"Why didn't you stop them? You are one of Fairy tail's strongest mages, yet you stood there and watched as they nearly killed each other?" Nashi commented as her eyes were filling up with tears. She looked at all the adults that watched her grow up. Those adults that didn't stop a fight that could of resulted in her brother being severely injured. They let her down and they let her brother down. Everyone watched as the female Dragneel stood in the middle of the guild trying to hold back her tears. Just when she was about to open up her mouth again Gajeel and Nash walked into the destroyed guild that was being cleaned up.
"NASHI!" Nash yelled as he run towards a weak and broken Nashi. He hugged her tightly as he saw that she was trying to hold back her tears. He hated seeing Nashi hurt and he wanted to know what exactly happened whilst he was away with his father.
Hunter looked down on the hugging friends from above on a ledge holding up the ceiling. He saw the whole fight between his sister and the eldest Dragneel, he never once seen his sister so angry. She had a killer look in her eye but that didn't compare to the look in Ashton's eyes. Hunter watched Nashi and Nash from above and couldn't help but feel jealous. He felt stupid for not supporting Nashi in her outbursts to stop the fight. He couldn't face her anymore.
"What happened in here?" Gajeel asked whilst he helped his wife pick up tables that were thrown to the other side of the room.
"Ashton and Lexi" Levy answered quietly. Levy didn't know what she was going to say when Lucy arrives back to the guild with Juvia. She didn't know how to explain that no one did anything to prevent the fight but she knew that Lucy was expecting a huge fight to emerge from the two rivals. Melody watched as Bo and his twin fixed a chair and couldn't help but feel sorry for Bo. She knew how close Bo and Ashton were and she couldn't imagine how much it could hurt watching your best friend get so heated up in a fight and not be able to help him calm down before he did something he might regret later. Mei helped Melody organise the seats again and watched as Nashi explained what happened to Nash. Mei looked at the pair with curiosity. She never really noticed how close they were.
Wendy looked around at the once clean guild and couldn't help but worry at what Master was going to say when he arrived home. She was glad the younger kids such as Lea, Igneel, Damien and Ruby were out at the park. She would have hated them to see a fight like this between guild members. She began to pick up cutlery that was thrown during the fight and as she reached to pick up a knife Romeo beat her to it and was handing it to her. She looked at his face and saw that he was giving her a reassuring smile.
Meanwhile at the hilltop...
"Alright, now that we are far away from the guild tell me what led to that huge fight with Lexi". Natsu asked in his calm fatherly tone. He looked at his son and how much son looked liked him except for the blonde hair and scar. Ashton looked ahead towards the sunset, he didn't want to admit that the fight got out of hand but he was glad that he was able to let off some steam as harsh as that sounded.
"I don't know" Ashton replied in a monotone, avoiding all eye contact with his dad.
"Come on, I can't help you if you leave it like that" Natsu replied, his eyes still not leaving his son.
"I didn't mean for it to get so out of hand but one minute she was all up in my face and before I knew it I snapped. I never felt so angry at someone invading my personal space." Ash replied.
"You couldn't have snapped just because she was all up in your face. Every fight that you guys begins like that but it never escalated to a point where you almost kill each other. You are both lucky that me and Gray made it back on time" .
"I guess my anger toward her started when we came back form our last mission. I began to feel more and more moody being in her team. It got to a point where I couldn't stand it anymore. She was being more and more bitchy towards me. But just me! I guess it affected me so much cos I developed such strong feelings towards her". Ashton replie. His face was in shock when he realised that he confessed he had feeling for the female ice mage to his father. Natsu processed what his son just said. He stayed quiet for a while. Ashton began to worry at the silence between him and his father, he didn't really think about what would be his dads opinion if he began to date his rivals daughter.
"Girls are complicated" Natsu said with a straight face and got up to walk back home.
"THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY YOU LAZY GEEZER!?" Ashton yelled as he watched his father walk down the hill.
"Come on lets go home" Natsu replied as he looked back at his fuming son.
"THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE OUR FATHER-SON MOMENT YOU BASTARD" Ashton screamed as he got up angrily.
"YOU WANT A FATHER AND SON MOMENT? THEN YOU GOT IT! FIRE DRAGONS IRON FIST!" Natsu yelled as he ran toward his son. Ashton dodged the attack just in time and began to laugh.
"YOU WANNA TRAIN?" Natsu asked
"Sure" Ash replied as he smiled at his father. He couldn't really expect a life lesson from his father when it came to girls and he couldn't blame him. If he wanted to have a deep amd mature conversation about his feelings the best person to go his mother. As he ran towards his dad to train with him, Ashton felt a sense happiness and a weight off his shoulders. He hasn't trained with his father since he was 10 and doing it now made him feel so complete and close to his father even though he didn't have that 'father-son heart to heart' he expected to have. Somehow talking with their fists brought them a lot closer than expected.
ALRIGHT, I'm gonna end it there today but i will upload another chapter on saturday! I am sorry this is quite broad and boring but I have a lot of things to put in the story to get it rolling and I also felt that Natsu isn't really the type to have a complete heartfelt talk about girls with his son since he doesn't really understand Lucy half of the time. He just knows that he loves her ahahah. But i still wanted Ash and Natsu to have a family moment. Next chapter will involve Lexi and Gray and mystery visitors to the Dragneel household. TRY AND GUESS WHO THEY MIGHT BE!
