Ashton's Pov:

As I helped Cora get up from the hug attack from the famous Nashi. Cora has these crazy soft hands. As she got up she pushed her bangs away from her face which made it easier for me to se her eyes clearly. She had these intense red eyes that you just get lost in them. They are not a scary red that make her look like a lunatic, they are soft yet intense. They are simply beautiful.

I sensed Lexi behind me and I realized that she doesn't have a clue who these two are. Plus it's been a few days since our big fight. I don't know what really happened between us to make us talk again. I went a straight 5 days without even looking at the chick. But then she came into the guild and handed me a strawberry milkshake and a new mission flyer as her unspoken apology. We just then started talking again.

"YO ICE FREAK COME HERE" I yelled over to Lexi waiting for her usual loud mouthed response, however this time I didn't get anything.

"Sure" She replied. That was all she could say? No 'Eat shit flamebrain?' No 'Go to hell Ash breath'? THIS IS NOT THE LEXI I KNOW. The Lexi I know would give me an equal insult and then ask me what was going on. But this one just took it like it's nothing and continued with her life. I looked over at Drake who was also as equally as confused as me. Something is wrong with this chick.

-Normal POV:

The guild was in complete silence when they all could fully see who the two new figures were. They all stared at Ashton number 2 and the quiet pretty girl who were stood on either side of Ashton. Nashi turned around to notice that the whole guild had there eyes on them waiting for some sort of introduction. For the very first time in her whole existence Nashi was speechless, she didn't know what to say. She looked at her older brother waiting for him to say something but he also choked.

"Welcome Home Ryo" called a familiar voice from the back of the guild. Nashi looked on to see that the voice belonged to her father. Natsu had his arm around Lucy who was waiting for her sons to arrive at the guild. Everyone looked back to see the Dragneel couple smiling at the scene at the entrance.

"EVERYONE! THAT BOY NEXT TO ASHTON IS NO OTHER THAN OUR LITTLE RYOUGA, HE ISN'T THE LITTLE MIDGET WE REMEMBER ANYMORE" yelled Master Makarov from the balcony on the 3rd floor of the guild. Ryo looked up and smiled at the master of his mother's guild.

"WELCOME HOME RYO!" the whole guild greeted him once they finally clocked who the tall blonde boy was. Ashton put his hands around Ryo's shoulder and gave him his signature grin which was identical to Natsu's, Ryo flashed him his grin showing his sharp fangs.

"I HAVE TWO OLDER BROTHERS NOW!" Nashi yelled as she pointed at her older brothers as if it wasn't clear to the guild the first time.

"TWO OLDER BROTHERS THAT YOU HAVE TO GET THROUGH NOW BOYS" Macao yelled from the bars directing it to the younger males of the guild that couldn't deny that Nashi was beautiful like her mother. The whole guild fell into laughter as they looked at Nashi's blushing face.

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! THE HOMECOMING OF MY OLDEST SON REQUIRES A GOOD OLD FASHIONED FAIRY TAIL PARTY!" Lucy yelled as she held up a beer bottle waiting to give a proper toast. Cana raised her in response as the other guild members followed.

"TO RYO WHO IS FINALLY HOME IN HIS MOTHERS ARMS!" Lucy yelled

"AYE! TO RYO!" the whole guild responded. It didn't take a second until the music had started to play and everyone was singing and dancing. Ryo looked forward to see the whole guild celebrating him. They didn't know him properly yet they welcomed him home. A home he didn't know he had until yesterday.

"They are something else huh? Ashton asked his new brother.

"I'm just glad to be home" Ryo responded trying not to cry from the overwhelming happiness that he felt in his heart. Ashton patted his brothers back to reassure him.

"oh gosh I forgot to introduce you to ice freak back there" Ashton said over the music, "come here" Ashton dragged Ryo over to Lexi who was leaning on the wall by the great doors of fairy tail trying not to looked pissed off at the fact Ashton completely forgot about her. "YO Lexi, this is Ryouga Eucliffe. My older brother" Ashton yelled over the loud music. Lexi looked up to see Ashton with his new found brother. He was identical to Ashton however he had a more cocky and confident tone to him. He was rougher around the edges. "Ryo, this Lexi Fullbuster. She's uncle Gray's kid" Ash finshed. Ryo shook her hand and gave her his signature smile which was his smirk. Lexi smiled back.

"Who's the chick?" Lexi asked pointing at the girl that was being dragged to meet everyone by Nashi. Ashton looked back to see Cora being dragged to talk to Romeo and Wendy by his overexcited sister.

"Oh, that's my best friend Cora Cheney! She came to help me find my mom" Ryo answered. Lexi looked at Ryo and then nodded.

"If you don't mind. I'm gonna get myself a drink" Lexi said bluntly leaving the brothers by themselves.

"She's kinda cold" Ryo commented as he watched Lexi leave.

"Well she is an Ice Mage ahaahahahah" Ashton joked trying not to pay too much attention to ice mage. Ryo laughed at his brothers joke. "Let me introduce you to the new generation of fairies" Ashton continued. Ryo nodded enthusiastically. Ashton led the way to the group of fairies his age who were dancing and singing along to the music.

"HEY GUYS! THIS IS RYO" Ashton yelled over the music. The group consisting of Bo, Max, Drake, Melody, Evangeline (Lisanna's and Freed's child), Corey (Cana's son) and Arturo (Elfman's and Evergreen's child). They all greeted Ryo with open arms, Bo handed him a drink and introduce the whole gang.

"There's a lot more of us, this is just our age group. There are 4 more kids but they are out on missions" Bo finished. Ryo nodded and couldn't stop smiling at what he wsa experiencing now. Back at Sabertooth, everyone is more serious and wouldn't be so welcoming if a new person came into their guild. He liked this atmosphere. He looked next to him to see that Ashton left his side to dance with the girl who was introduced as Melody. And before he knew it he was face to face with Evangeline, who was undeniably gorgeous. Like Melody, She had silver hair and was dressed in a green skater skirt with white gladiator sandals and white shirt.

"Want to dance?" Evangeline asked. and before Ryo could give her a proper answer he was already dragged out to dance. 'These fairy tail girls sure know how to move' Ryo thought to himself as he danced with Eva. The song came to an end and Ryo made his way back to the bar to be handed another drink by Cora.

"Finally able to escape Nashi huh?" Ryo asked smiling at his Best friend who was dragged around the whole guild and made to talk to everyone by his little sister.

"Barely ahah" Cora chuckled, "she's something else. She made me have 10 minute conversations with anyone and showed me every corner of the guild ahahaha, I was able to make a break for it when a guy called Hunter asked her to dance ahah" Cora finished and saw a serioud expression on Ryo. He was concentrating on the dance floor looking for his little sister. "You have known her for a day and you are already acting like the older protective brother ahahah" Cora joked. Ryo smiled at his best friend. The song ended and he saw his sister and brother walking over to the group with Melody and the boy that had to be Hunter.

"RYOOOOOO! COME DANCE WITH ME!" Nashi yelled as her favorite song started to play. Ryo recognized the song which was 'Marvin Gaye' by Charlie Puth ft Megan Trainor. He chuckled and allowed himself to be dragged by his little sister . Nashi's antics started a flow of boys being dragged to dance, Bo was being forced by Melody, Drake asked Lexi, Corey with Evangeline, the Dragneel twins danced with each other, Mei and Hunter, Nash with his little sister and the parents with each other.

Ashton Saw Cora smile at the sight of her best friend being dragged into the crowd to dance. "Hey Cora, lets go dance?" Ashton asked as held out his hand for her to take. Cora blushed and accepted. As they made their way to the dance floor, Lucy smiled at the sight of her sons dancing and enjoying themselves. Natsu saw Ashton dancing with Cora and couldn't helping smirking at the pair.

Lexi saw her rival dancing with the new girl and couldn't help feel a pain in her chest. Drake sensed Lexi's mood drop instantly at the sight of the future salamander and the red eyed girl dancing. He spun her around multiple times to make her laugh and get her mind off the Dragneel. Once he stopped, Lexi looked up at her best friend and gave him a smile to thank him and continued laughing and dancing with him .

"Liking it here?" Ashton asked as he spun Cora around. She giggled and responded "Yeah, I have never seen Ryo so happy and I have known him my entire life".

"I'm glad he's here, it's cool knowing I have an older brother" Aston continued, "Whats your magic type then Cora?"

"OHHH, I'm a shadow dragon slayer, the complete opposite to Ryo who's a white dragon slayer, you?"

"ahahahaha, more dragon slayers, I'm like my dad, Fire dragon, the only Dragneel child that inherited his powers." Ashton replied.

"You know Ash, You are great dancer ahhahaaha. I always have to lead my dad when we dance at home but you are a real pro."

"ahahahah thanks, mom taught me,she forced me to learn as it's a gentleman's duty to know how to lead a beautiful lady like yourself" Ashton said without thinking. It just came out. He was worried that Cora would be freaked out by his compliment but instead she was blushing and continued to dance with him in silence. The pair didn't notice that the song ended until Bo interrupted asking if he could dance with Cora. Ashton nodded and handed over the still blushing shadow mage. He made his way to the bar to ask his Aunt Mira for drink. He sat on the stool patiently waiting for his aunt who was currently tending Jet and Droy, he was so lost in his thoughts about Cora that he didn't notice his team mates sitting on the two empty stools on his left.

"having fun?" Drake asked, interrupting Ash's train of thought.

"Yeah, I'm really happy" Ashton replied looking up at his friend.

"She's cute" Drake said turning the stool around to face the dance floor and lean back on the bar table. Ashton and Lexi turned around to see he was talking about Cora who s lost in laughter with Bo. Ashton gave a small smile and nodded.

Lexi clenched her fists at the sight of Ashton staring intensely at the red eyed beauty who was dancing with the Redfox twin.

"I was thinking we should ask the new pair to go on the mission that was scheduled for today with us tomorrow. What do you think?" Drake asked his other teammates, "It would be a great way to get to know your long lost brother and his companion" he finished.

Ashton was about to answer his friends suggestion but was beaten to it by his brother making his way to the trio. "SURE! me and Cora need to save up money for the train back home which is scheduled for 3 weeks. So why not" Ryo said as he gave Drake a thumbs up.

"It's settled then. Tomorrow at 9 we should all meet at the train station" Drake responded.

Lexi was getting mad at the idea of having to spend a mission with the new girl. She didn't know what the deal was between Miss Red eyes and Ashton but she didn't like it. She didn't fully understand why the thought of her and Ashton together made her want to freeze the whole of Mangolia but she didn' want to find out.

As the night went on, Lucy decided it was time for her to head home with her kids and husband who was getting ready to duel his rival with a game of cards. She knew if she allowed him to battle ith cards they would be stuck at the guild until morning. Ashton carried his little sister Lea on his back who was fast asleep whilst Ryo carried Igneel on his back. Nashi was complaining the whole way home that she wanted Ashton to carry her whilst Cora chuckled at Nashi's complaints. Natsu carried Lucy bridal style at the front of the group so he could get home as quickly as possible so he can get back to the guild and get on with the card challenge with Gray.

Everyone made their ways back to their homes and only the older generation of fairy tail were left in the guild with Cana drinking the last few barrels of beer left. Corey, her son made his way home with his grandfather Gildarts.

Lexi made it to her room and threw herself on her bed. She was tired, tired from the party and tired of her constant thoughts of a particular fire mage. Lexi leaned over to her bedside table to pick up her picture of her and Ashton's first day of kindergarten and couldn't help but feel sad and smile at the memory behind the photograph.

Flashback:

"Here we go guys, look at the camera" Lucy said holding the camera up ready to take a picture of the rivals and their first bornns on the first day of school. Natsu placed Ashton on his shoulders and were ready for their surprise poses whilst Lexi stood in front of her father ready to smile.

"1...2...3" Lucy said and before she pressed the shutter Ashton and Natsu stucked their tongues out whilst laughing at what the picture might turn out to look like.

"NATSU DRAGNEEL CAN YOU NOT TAKE A NORMAL PHOTO WITH YOUR SON!" Lucy yelled at he husband and made a scene at front of the schoo whilst Lexi, her father and Ashton laughed at the scene.

"Gosh Natsu, just give your wife a decent photo, Ash's baby album is just full of you pulling faces in all of the pictures" Gray laughed as he patted his daughter's hair. Lexi smiled at Ashton who was busy pointing and laughing at his father who was being scolded by his mother. The bell rang, signaling that it was the beginning of a new adventure for her and Ashton, her best friend.

Ashton's face lit up as he was excited to see what the big fuss was about inside the building. The pair said their goodbyes to their parents and were ready to head in.

"Alright Lexi, you ready?" Ashton asked holding out his hand for his best took his hand and nodded. Ashton gave her the usual goofy smile that he had plastered on his face and walked onwards to start school with his best friend.

Once they started Middle School, Ashton stopped walking to school with Lexi and replaced her best friend status with Bo Redfox. Lexi never wanted to admit but she was hurt. She lost her best friend and was now known as her rival. Even though she enjoyed the competition, she missed Ashton coming in to her room by her window asking for help on his homework.

And now she couldn't help but feel that with the new girls arrival, she was going to lose Ash completely.
