I don't own x-men
Kitty's POV:
Those guys would have been toast by now, if it wasn't because of the embarrassment I'm feeling. I know locking myself inside my room aren't gonna help anything, but… Well, I don't know! I'm just like, so mad at them! And here I thought Kurt was bad enough by himself, but now that Evan's here too, it just feels weird being the only girl 'my age'. Of cause there's Jean, but she's like, three years older or something. It just isn't the same. I just wish there would be other girls around, instead of just me. Rogue as an example, if she just trusted us enough to stay here. Maybe I could ask the professor about this? No, probably not. I mean, he would tell us the minute a possible mutant would appear, so asking him would just be a waste of time. On the other hand, sitting on my laptop all day is kinda a waste of time too. It's 18:00 pm, and unless it's on delay, dinner should be ready just about now. But then I have to leave my room and face the others. Maybe telling the professor is still an option, and then he could wipe their minds. But then Kurt will tell him about the thing the other day, or maybe he'll find the memory inside his head, and then I'm screwed too, but at least that awful experience would be wiped away. Well I think that's worth it. Right, I'll tell the professor after dinner, not that I'm really hungry, but I have to act as nothing has happened. Just play it cool.
With that I turned off my laptop, stood up, and headed down stairs.
When I arrived, everyone was already eating. Weird, we always wait till everyone is present, and as far as I can see, there were missing two: me, and apparently Kurt. Maybe he felt as embarrassed as me, or maybe just guilty. Well I sure hope he feels it a lot!
"Hello Kitty, nice to see you're feeling better. Evan told me that you and Kurt weren't feeling too good earlier." It was Ororo who spoke up, and now everyone in the room locks eyes with me. Aw great, just great, as things couldn't get any worse. Okay then, I'll just play along.
"Yeah I'm feeling much better, thank you for asking Ororo."
"And your fever is gone?"
Now what exactly did you tell her Evan!
"Yeah I think so. I mean, I'm still feeling a bit feverish, but nothing to worry about."
"Great, then you won't mind participating in a danger session after Dinner." This time it was Scott who spoke up.
"Oh, well, my head is still a bit heavy, so it might be better to skip this one."
"Well you seem fine to me half- pint, and as long as your able to stand strait, you won't be able to just skip it." Of cause Logan had to intervene.
Great, I knew I should had stayed in my room, since I'm really not in the mood right now…
"Hello Kurt, good to see you're up too."
"Yeah sure, whatever."
Oh great, so he just couldn't stay away. Well, it is dinner, which is for everyone, but still. I have to find a way out of this…"
"You know guys, I aren't really hungry anyway. Um professor, can I speak with you for a minute?"
"Yes Kitty you can. Is this something only I may here?"
"Well yes, it is."
"Then we may continue this conversation in the kitchen."
I looked at Kurt's pleading eyes for a spare moment, before walking out of the dining room.
Evans POV:
Okay this is getting way to unpleasant for my liking. Why can't they just talk and figure it all out, instead of ignoring each other. I know it's been all awkward and stuff, but hey, accidents happen, get over it! I mean sure, we went a little too far, but she sure as heck did too! I mean yeah, we did throw some harmless balloons on her, and sure she lost her… Wait, what was it she lost? Weird, I suddenly can't remember anymore. What was she mad about again? And why is the professor calling me to the kitchen? Wait, Kurt just stood up, maybe he called on him too? Well, it might be best to do as told…
"So, I hear that some, misunderstandings has happened the last couple of days, and this has apparently let to pranks. Is this true?"
"Yes professor it's true, but Keety was the one starting it all!"
"What, no! It was you guys who started this by leaving me out of the fun!"
"No we didn't!"
"Yes you did!"
"No we didn't!"
"YES YOU DID!"
"Quiet! All of you! Now I believe a punishment is in order. Extra trainings sessions with Mr. Logan may not be just enough. I believe the x-jet could need a waxing..."
"But professor, no one got hurt!" Evan protested.
"Maybe not physically, but mental damage can easily hurt a lot more Evan. Now I believe you only were the third wheel in this, but that doesn't make you less guilty. You knew what was going on, but you didn't tell me, only Kitty here was brave enough to tell the truth. I am very disappointed in all of you, and I hope you have learned something from this. Now, you may start your punishment."
