At a private training session with Logan

Kurt and Logan is sparring. Kurt seems unfocused, leaving Logan at no mercy, as he sends a hard punch at the boys stomach, making him fall backwards, and hit his head on the back wall. Logan then sits down on top of him, making sure he won't be able to escape before making a lapel grab on him, threatening to beat him by hovering a fist in the air.

"If this was a real combat, you would be dead meat by now, punk." Loagn told him. "Now get up, and try to avoid getting hit this time."

Both got in start position, starring each other deeply in the eyes, before Logan launched at him. Kurt barely managed to duck the punch, and then the other one, and the kick send at his head didn't hit either. Now he couldn't just escape the fight, he had to fight back, so after the fifth punch heading his direction, he got a grip on the mans fist, and tried in vain to twist his arm around, but instead he found himself on the floor for the fifth time in the last hour.

"You aren't focusing elf, what's eating ya this time?" Logan asked, as he helped the sore boy back on his feet.

"I'm just out of energy, that's all." Kurt replied, while rubbing the back of his head. He looked tired, with black circles under his yellow eyes.

"Stop lying to me boy, I know you way better than you may think. Is it a bad night's sleep? Come on elf, what's the deal, are the bad dreams hunting you again?" Logan asked, a hand on Kurt's shoulder. It didn't stay there for long, before he kindly brushed it off, without saying a single word in return.

"Stop ignoring me elf, i know something's bugging ya, and i'm here to listen, you know that." Logan told him, a faint look of concern showing in his eyes.

"I don't wanna talk about it okay? Just leave me alone!" Kurt yelled, ready to leave the room, but got stopped when Logan rapped his arm.

"Is it the black bird you painted pink the other day that you thought I wouldn't notice? Well I aren't mad at either you or the others elf, if anything i'm worried, so please tell me, it isn't healthy to keep all your problems to yourself, trust me, I know that better than anyone here." Logan advised, not looking away any single time.

"Okay, I might be having some bad dreams again, but it's nothing to worry about Mr. Logan. I'm not taking any damage, not physically nor mentally, i'm fine." Kurt simply stated, looking anywhere but the man in front of him, especially the window seemed highly interesting.

"I- I actually have a question. When will Keety be ready to meet me? The real me that is." The blue boy asked as he grasped his tail, looked at it for a second, for then looking strait at Logan for the first time in that one hour they had been training together.

"The girl's having Demonophopia elf, and that's not something that'll just go away from one day to another. It's a fear like every other fear. But no matter what she'll come around sooner or later." Logan answered, making Kurt look down at his tail again, this time in disappointment. Logan then let a hand on his shoulder for comfort.

"Hey look, I know life sometimes sucks a lot, and that things might not seem fair, but things will get better at some point, you just have to give it the time it needs." Logan advised yet again, just hoping that the boy actually listened. It seemed like he did, since he gave out a small smile.

"Now let's get back to the training, and this time, try to keep your head in the game..."

In the living room:

Kitty is doing homework with Jean sitting besides her. Kitty can't seem to focus on the mathematical equations, for her, it just looks like a lot of numbers, mixed up with letters, and nothing gives any sense at all. There was a time she was good at math, but that all changed as she got older, and now she didn't even have the answers to even the easiest questions. She decided to call it for the day, and let the book down, as a minor headache was threatening to occur. She looked at Jean, who was busy reading a book. She seemed highly caught in the plot of it, and maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to disturb her, but she had something on her mind, something that made her to unfocused to do her school work, and that was a crime in itself...

"Jean, i'm sorry to interrupt you, but can we talk?" Kitty asked. Jean made a small nod, before answering: "Sure, just let me finish the chapter, and i'll be there."

Kitty then waited for what felt like forever, even though it only took about five minutes or less, before Jean let down the book.

"So, what do you wanna talk about?" Jean asked, looking at Kitty with caring big sister eyes. It felt a bit weird, but none the less nice to have a big sister figure to talk to.

"It's just, do you think that Kurt, in anyway, you know, might like me or something?" Kitty asked, feeling a sudden head in her cheeks.

"Sure he likes you, you're one of his best friends." Jean answered, not seeing the obvious.

"No, i mean, do you think he like like's me? I mean, do you think he think i'm cute, I know I think he's cute, with his big blue eyes, and the way his hair looks all fuzzy in the mornings is just adorable. The tail though is kinda creepy, but I guess i'm kinda used to it by now, and it is totally a cool mutation to be born with." Kitty babbled, making Jean let a hand on her mouth to make her shut up.

"You like him, don't you?" Jean asked with a warm smile. Kitty just looked at her in shock.

"What? NO! Or maybe... But he's like, so reserved at times! I mean, every time i'm going for a hug, or even get's close enough to touch him, he yanks away from me! I don't even know what his skin feels like, cause he won't allow me to touch him! It's like i'm poisonous to him or something." Kitty answered, suddenly looking a bit depressed. Jean seemed felt sad for both Kitty and Kurt, they could both be such good friends, if they hadn't been so different.

"You know, sometimes I feel like he's hiding something from me, something big and important. It's like he's lying to me all the time, but no matter how much I hate him at times, and no matter how mysterious he some times seems, he's still having a special place in my heart. I just wish we could trust each other a bit more, that's all i'm asking for..." Kitty stood up, took her homework, and went for the door. Jean just stayed quiet through it all, feeling helpless. Kitty was half way through the door when she turned her head, and locked eyes with Jean.

"And Jean, thank you for listening. I know you don't have the answer to everything, but just being able to talk to you means a lot to me, so thank you."

With that she leaved the room, as tears started to show in Jeans eyes. She felt terrible for being a part of this mess, but she couldn't do anything about it, only time could. Hopefully, that time would come soon...
