"Good evening. My name is Erwin Smith, I am the commander of the Scout Regiment and I'm here to invite you to join the Scout Regiment."

The cadets in front of Erwin remained silent before he continued.

"What we aim to do is to learn more about the titans and expand outside of the

walls," he explained, "On the 56th expedition outside of the walls, we lost over 60% of the Scout Regiment, but we have a new hope! Eren Jaeger has joined out plan to retake wall Maria. I will explain to you more about this, but first, I have someone here to tell you about her experience outside of the walls."

Taking that as her cue, Leah sighed as Petra patted her back before she walked out onto the stage next to Erwin.

"Good evening everyone, my name is Leah, I am second in command of the Special Tactics Force and the other half of Humanity's Strongest Pair, I joined the Scout Regiment when I was nine years old," Leah stated earning some chatter amongst the cadets, "As some of you might have noticed already, I am the same age as all of you, but that doesn't matter. The only reason I am here is to tell you about the outside of the walls, no more, no less, so listen carefully."

Armin looked at Mikasa with wary eyes.

"Mikasa...do you think it's...?" he trailed off.

Mikasa glanced at Armin before looking back at Leah.

"Maybe," she whispered.

"The outside of the walls are no joke, you all know what the Titans are capable of," Leah stated, "I've had hundred of comrades killed right before my very eyes outside the walls and I'm sure it isn't the last of them."

Leah cleared her throat as Erwin gave her a slightly worried glance.

"If you're thinking you won't be working hard in the Scout Regiment, I can assure you that you're DEAD wrong," Leah stated, "That's all I have to say."

Erwin nodded his head once.

"Thank you Leah," Erwin voiced.

"My pleasure," Leah nodded before smiling, "See you recruits tomorrow."

Leah walked back to where the others were and crossed her arms as Erwin continued to speak.

"Don't you think you were a bit harsh?" Petra asked, "You made them relive the memories, they just got over Trost."

"Hey, it's better than them learning the hard way," Leah stated, "If they didn't want to face the titans again they would've worked harder to get into the Military Police or they would've quit by now."

"Why do you always have to be right?" Petra pouted earning a smirk from Leah.

They all stood there silently listening to Erwin speak before another soldier walked up to Leah.

"Senchou, Levi-heichou is looking for you," she whispered.

"He knows where I am," Leah stated with a scowl.

The soldier flinched as Petra walked out onto the stage with Mike before clearing her throat.

"He asked me to bring you to him," she stated.

"Go back and tell him that if he wants me, to wait another hour or drag me out kicking and screaming himself," Leah bluntly denied, "Dismissed."

The soldier reluctantly saluted to Leah before going off to tell Levi the news. Leah sighed as Petra walked back over to her with a small smile.

"Is heichou okay?" she asked.

Leah crossed her arms with a scowl.

"He just got back from a recon and now he's bored," she stated, "He wants me to entertain him, he knows I'm busy."

Petra giggled.

"I'm sure danchou wouldn't mind if you left early," she stated, "I think he's done his speech now."

Leah looked up to see most of the cadets starting to walk away.

"You think we'll get ANY recruits?" Petra asked.

"I'd rather get none than have useless cadets who'll shit their pants every time they see a titan," Leah stated.

Petra pursed her lips before she lightly hit Leah's mouth, making her flinch a little.

"You and your brother have such vulgar mouths," she stated.

Leah pouted before sticking her tongue out at Petra, who laughed a little.

"Give your heart!" the two heard Erwin shout.

Leah turned to look if there were any recruits left before her eyes widened.

"Mikasa...Armin...!"

"Leah where are you going? Heichou's gonna get mad if you make him wait any longer."

Leah turned back to Petra before smirking.

"Then you should go entertain him for me," she winked.

Petra looked taken aback as a deep red blush appeared on her face.

"W-What are you talking about?!" she exclaimed.

"Don't think I haven't noticed," Leah stated before waving, "I'll only be a little while longer, make sure to entertain him good."

Leah stuck her tongue out at Petra, who was beyond red, before running off. Leah looked around at the new recruits before spotting Mikasa and Armin talking to some of the other recruits.

"Mikasa! Armin!" she called as she walked over to them.

The two turned around and their eyes widened before Armin let out a wide smile as Mikasa had a small smile on her face.

"Leah! It IS you!" he happily exclaimed.

Leah smiled widely before she hugged both of them.

"It's been so long," she stated, "I missed you guys."

"We did too," Armin stated, "What happened to you?"

Before Leah could respond, the other recruits, who were stunned by her sudden appearance, snapped out of their astonishment before hastily saluting.

"It's nice to meet you Leah-senchou!" they all chimed.

Leah blinked a bit before smiling a little.

"At ease, I guess I was so excited to see you guys I forgot there were other recruits here," she laughed, "There goes my scary senchou image."

The other recruits were a bit confused by Leah's personality change.

'Is this really the same person who was basically threatening us from onstage?' they all thought simultaneously.

"But first and foremost, Mikasa!" Leah exclaimed making Mikasa flinch a little, "What did you do to your hair? It was so long before."

Mikasa tentatively touched the ends of her hair.

"I had to cut it," she stated, "It was too long."

"That means I can't braid your hair anymore," Leah pouted, "But I guess it can't be helped."

Mikasa paused before she realized something.

"Leah, how is Eren?" she asked a little frantically, "Is he okay?"

Leah blinked in confusion before smiling.

"Don't worry, Eren is perfectly okay," she stated, "My squad is in charge of guarding him, he's in good hands."

Seeing Mikasa give her a skeptical look, Leah laughed a little.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing too bad happens to Eren," she reassured.

Mikasa paused again before slowly nodding her head. Leah sighed before clearing her throat.

"I suppose I should I know the names of some of the newest recruits," she began with a smile as she turned to the recruits, "Who wants to go first?"

"I-I'm Jean Kirstein ma'am!" Jean chimed.

"I'm Connie Springer ma'am!" Connie exclaimed.

"A-And I'm Sasha Blouse ma'am!" Sasha stuttered.

"Sasha Blouse?" Leah repeated with a confused expression, "Ah~ You're the one Shadis was complaining about. Potato girl right?"

Sasha turned red in embarrassment before timidly nodding her head making Leah smile and pat her shoulder.

"So senchou," Jean began, "You really joined the Scout Regiment when you were nine? You're awfully small, how did you manage?"

"Do you have a problem with that cadet?" Leah growled glaring at Jean.

Jean flinched before hastily shaking his head.

"But yes, I really joined the Scout Regiment when I was nine," Leah stated with a nod of her head.

"That's amazing senchou," Connie chimed, "How did you manage at such a young age?"

Leah gave a little smile.

"Fierce determination and a pact," she stated.

"That's it?" Jean asked.

"That's it."

"Senchou, I heard that you were a legendary rank 0," Sasha began, "There's only been 3 others before you, weren't there?"

Leah nodded her head making Armin's eyes widen.

"Eh?! Really Leah?!" he exclaimed in surprise, "You're a rank 0?!"

Leah laughed and nodded her head as Connie tilted his head.

"What's rank 0?" he asked earning surprised looks from the others.

"Seriously? You don't know what rank 0 is?" Jean asked.

Connie shook his head before Jean shook his head in disapproval.

"Rank 0 is a rank above rank 1 within your cadet class," Armin explained, "It's fairly hard to achieve."

"Only 4 people have ever been able to achieve that rank," Sasha stated, "Senchou being the most recent one."

"Levi-heichou was the one before her right?" Jean asked Sasha, who nodded her head.

"Speaking of Levi..." Leah began, "Here he comes."

They all looked at her confused before they looked behind her to see Levi making his way over to them, his usual bored look on his face. Leah turned around with a smile on her face before waving her hand.

"Over here onii-san!" she called earning surprised gasps from the others behind her, "What?"

"L-Leah, Levi-heichou is your brother...?!" Armin asked.

Leah giggled.

"It seems like everyone always has the same reaction," she stated, "We look exactly alike except for his bored face all the time but yes he's my brother."

"I wouldn't be able to tell..." Connie whispered, "Senchou seems like such a cheerful person."

Sasha nodded in agreement as Levi came up to them.

"Leah, how long do you intend to keep me waiting?" he hissed, "Eren has been asking about you all day. It's annoying as hell."

"Gomen onii-san," Leah apologized with a smile, "I just wanted to talk to some of my old friends for a bit." (Sorry)

Levi's eye twitched a little before he grabbed Leah's collar and started dragging her away.

"I don't have time for your petty excuses," he stated, "Let's go."

"Ah~ onii-san you don't have to pull me!" Leah exclaimed before turning back to the others, "I'll see you guys tomorrow!"

The others watched Levi drag Leah away with an astonished look on their faces.

"Would you think they were siblings?" Connie asked no one in particular.

All he received was slowly shaking heads in response.
